I'm gonna have to give the Venom a shot in SP. I've never used it on a single mission ever. I tend to avoid anything heavy since I lean more on power damage.
What did you do today in the Mass Effect trilogy

I'd use it on an Adept Shepard more if Warp Ammo was like the Multiplayer's Warp Ammo. It's just so much better!

I like almost never aim with the Venom. I just hipfire the whole time. Bounce it off walls, and off the ground and such and everything is like ragdolling. I great gun for fighting Phantoms.
That's another thing too, I never tried to bounce the shots off anything. Just aim at their feet if I can. I don't usually get too creative with weapons, only powers. I've gotten to where I enjoy trying to make combos enough that weapons are only like a last resort.

Javik and Liara combined with a biotic Shepard makes for some really great combos.

Adept Shepard would be better if Singularity actually primed anything it touched like the Multiplayer one(of course, it wasn't always like that). I really like the Acolyte, although, I don't find it very useful in SP.

They certainly do. Taking those two to thessia almost made me wish I'd been an adeptshep for my insanity run.

I didn't use it very often on my adeptshep runs, only if I wanted to pop someone out of cover. I let Liara do the singularity thing.

The thing with ME3 is though, you can make any character work with anyone.
I was kinda iffy on taking Javik and Ashley with me for the rest of the game, figuring I'd have trouble with shielded enemies (Adept myself). But I don't have any problem at all. If I'm lucky I can detonate Ashley's Disruptor Ammo for some area unshielding, but that's not even necessary. Javik's Dark Channel detonated with Throw will almost completely destroy the shields on Cerberus mooks, same with Ashley's grenade + Throw. Or my own Warp + Throw. Or Javik's grenade + Throw.
Aaaand now I'm back to saying Insanity is too easy.
I never use Singularity on Shepard in ME3 btw

Insanity is like a little bit harder than Silver difficulty. But it's still pretty easy.

Hopefully, the next game's combat will be a bit more chaotic in single player, so you aren't guaranteed to have a safe path directly behind you.
I guess it also has something to do with Shepard actually being a total god of death compared to the multiplayer characters. It's not until you fight the clone that you realize just what the mooks have to deal with.

BioWare forgot to give the clones cooldowns... The Mirror Match is a pain!

Today, I plan on farming more credits on Mass Effect 3's multiplayer. I'm still waiting to unlock my Turian Ghost/Havoc/Saboteur and upgrade for my Cerberus Harrier I.

TGI Harrier is very common...along with Havoc and Saboteur. My personal favorite is my Javelin Fury! She does wonders!

The only time during Priority: Earth where I can recall enemies actually coming from behind is during the sequence when you're defending the missiles at the intersection, but even then, it's just a couple of cannibals and a marauder or two, and nothing respawns once you kill those. I felt that the suicide mission kind of suffered for this as well, it not worse. The long walk had you out in the open in places, yet nothing ever came from behind you.

Oh man, I hated defending those missiles on my insanity run. Friggin' marauders... but yeah, they only came at me from the sides. It was only when I tried to move that they got behind me, but that was my own fault.

The worst part of that sequence is the banshees, but then you have that one Harvester, the brutes that drive you out of cover, and also the reaper destroyer starts to cut across the map with its beam on the final wave. I did get the banshees to chase me right into the path of that beam though, and it destroys them. For the longest time, I did not know that there was a Cobra missile launcher hidden in the building off to the side of the tank. That came in handy for the Harvester.

I spent that whole sequence crouched behind the missile truck, moving from side to side, trying not to get hit by the reaper's beam myself. The only time I made a dash to a different spot of cover, I had to dive back behind the truck almost right away. It was the marauders that almost did me in, crouched behind cover at a distance like they were. Every now and then I managed to throw a turret or a drone at them, and when Garrus could actually stay alive he managed to pick them off. It was slow going though. For the first time, the desperation in shep's voice when he said, "we can do this!" actually fit.

Seconded.
I played some more Vanguard in ME2 last night. Got my butt handed to me on Jack's recruitment mission (Insanity difficulty). I know I am a little rusty, was never a good player, and never really that good with a Vanguard, but still... And all I could think about was "Man, I wish ME3 Insanity was this difficult." Well I suppose multiplayer Gold (and Platinum) can be hard.
Oh ME2, how I missed you.

When fighting the banshees and marauders I just stayed behind the phone booth. The destroyer did most of the work for me. As its beam came at me it would kill the uglies. In one playthrough, all I did was run around in circles till the missiles were ready to fire.

Nope, like it for shep too. I give the locust to squaddies.
But then I don't really power game, it's easy enough as it is to not warrant it.

From your screen shots it seems you play either on normal or veteran. Is that true? I find insanity to be very challenging at points, though mostly it leads to staying in cover longer. Though apparently some people here are opposed to having any cover mechanics. ![]()
