Just started my first femshep playthrough as a war hero colonist vanguard. I plan to romance Kaidan and then move on to Garrus in ME2 and 3. Default Jane Shepard name and look.

I just don't feel like I can play the trilogy if I use a face code of another's or if it's not my FemShep's face. Your history of romance is exactly my Sentinel Shep's on my PS3, I can't really do much about it since I made the mistake of romancing Kaidan through Genesis, but that was before I played through the entire trilogy.

Shep is always a custom shep, and is always created in me1 with no changes through the trilogy (apart from me3 to fix the dodgy import).

I started from ME2 first, and so, my ME1 face would always be close to my ME1 face on my PS3. Since ME1 doesn't really list face codes at all, it's impossible for to give her ME2's face code.

Try Masseffect2faces.com for some great presets, you can play around with them but they are a good place to start. If you are on PC, you can load up a headmorph using Gibbed.

Never touched Gibbed for ME1. If I morph a save with it will it import OK into 2 and 3 or will I need to do the head for the next game?

It'll import just fine between the games, as long as you don't put any special hairstyles or eye colors in.  

 

Today: I started going to go get Samara.   I'm angling at my first Garrus romance as well.

Took down Cerberus. Then uninstalled the EC to shoot the Star brat as many times as I wanted. Then reinstalled it and picked Destroy.

I always take Miranda on that mission. I guess maybe I'm still waiting for her to punch Liara out and take the job for herself. I'll have to try Grunt next time.

I sometimes take Samara, Garrus, or Kasumi here as well. If I am correct, it is very possible to have three squadmates here with you.
