My geth dreadnought adventure is going to be quite different this time through, with no Tali or Garrus... or Ash, for that matter.

You're gonna bring EDI and James?

I cannot like this because an error occurred. I have reached my quota of positive votes for the day.

Somehow, this seems.... familiar.

Haven't decided. I'm thinking EDI for sure... but I dunno. I should probably take Liara because I've never done that.

I took him on almost every mission of my insanity run. He's a good squadmate and occasionally has some interesting things to say.

Grunt's taking a drink on an earlier post on this page. :)

I felt like James was just extra baggage a lot of the time even on insanity, I didn't utilize him much. He just doesn't have shield stripping powers.

With typhoon+incendiary ammo, shield-stripping participation doesn't really matter  :D ... I like him on quite a few missions for his dialogues and comments. He's fun on the coup attempt, and priority: tuchanka. And the geth jamming tower. Get him to disable the guns. Yeah, he's all right.

I missed that. You realize shep will awake from a nightmare at about 3 a.m. to the sound of runner water and mumbling, coming from the cabin bathroom...  :D

James Incendiary Ammo isn't as strong as it is on Javik(I slap the power on Javik), 'cause James doesn't have a lot of power damage bonuses. If you make James repair the comm. tower on Menae, he takes longer and you have to go through more Husk waves.

Yeah, I do post some interesting Grunt dialogue or pics in certain threads. I do re-post things if the particular post was like in a bad spot on a particular page.

Grunt's mumbling will keep Kasumi up at night. And EDI would probably have to remind him that he's in the women's restroom.

 ... Donnelly would be right there taking bets on how long it takes Grunt to realize where he is. Some of the crew are spotted talking selfies while sitting down next to him.

Yeah, but he's got squad incendiary ammo, which is the only way Javik can use it... uhhh, I mean if shep doesn't have it, of course... and I don't mind taking on more husks, lets me try out all my different combos, and how my powers line up with the squads.

Grunt also ate a lamp. Lol! I wonder where Grunt actually sleeps. Maybe in the crew quarters?

If you do utilize Warp Ammo, you can make a biotic slap a power damage over time power on an enemy and then shoot them with your weapon that contains Warp Ammo to do more damage on them. Rank 6b for Warp Ammo will take down Armored Targets fast, and it increases your weapon on the currently primed enemy. Warp Ammo does 0 damage to Shields though.

Maybe he just wanders the ship, and everyone has nightmares from when they were kids, about the boogeyman.

I didn't know that about warp ammo, thanks for the info. So share it with the squad and let James go to it with a typhoon. Oh, or have ash share disruptor ammo with everyone and let shep do the damage with warp ammo once shields are down...ahh, but then shep would have to do area warps, or pull field, or singularity. Hmm, seems like a lot of work to take James along though. Carnage is pretty good on armored targets.

You're welcome. This mechanic of Warp Ammo is widely known in Multiplayer. It was not until a later patch that the Single Player Warp Ammo Rank 6b where it says lifted targets take 125% more damage(I think that was the number)actually applies to lifted targets and primed targets. Incendiary Ammo with Warp is pretty much broken, along with anything that does DOT(damage over time).

My engineer is using warp ammo. Normally I hate giving a class a power they shouldn't have, like a non-biotic using biotic bonus powers. But I make an exception here. Reason being that tech actually can replicate warp fields, tech armor is highly precise emitters to create warp fields as a form of protection. So already there's a precedent for using tech being able to use biotic-like energy to do stuff with. Factor that with my Shepard being head-canon'ed to be a genius when it comes to tech, and I can easily see her taking the concept of tech armor and instead applying it to the ammo block in her gun using her own intelligence to create such a system. So she uses her high level engineering knowledge to have artificially created warp ammo.

Any other biotic power is a no, but this is 1 area where I can head-canon it and it work. Besides, it's just an ammo power. My Shepard doesn't get a biotic aura or anything which makes it even easier to pretend she's using her omni-tool to do it. Now why did I pick it? Don't care for any tech or combat bonus powers on the ME2 list for engineer class, and can't use true biotic bonus powers without breaking lore, and her gun damage sucks due to being an engineer. Warp ammo handles all those issues.

Linda Shepard

About time Shepard shows up. We make small talk for a bit when some Alliance chick says someone is hacking Shepard's ID. Who would do that? On second thought, everyone would want to steal her ID. The girl or rather Brooks as she calls herself, says some group is targeting her specifically. Who could it be this time? There's your answer. A bunch of baddies walk in shooting at everything. WHAT? She used me for bait. Payback is a b*t*h Commander. I can't believe she used me for bait. Lets go find the others.

This sucks. I was hoping to spend time with Sam and now I have to deal with these clowns. AHHHHHHHHHH. AAHHHHHHHHHHH. That hurt. Yeah that really hurt. And whats worse, is that I'm soaked with fish tank water. Sam is so going to kick my a**. I make my way forward when I hear from Brooks. Didn't she get shot? I tell her to have C-sec  meet me at some skycar lot. I fight through more clowns. Who are these wannabes? I run into more of them when Joker finally arrives.

We learn that the weapon Shepard took from a bad guy that it came from an arms dealer. And we will pay a visit by going to a  black tie event. Shepard chooses Ashley to be her escort. I was hoping to go. I mean why not? I'm a stud and she would good being with me.

I haven't worn a skirt in such along time. I look good. Shepard doesn't look bad herself. But it appears her mind is thinking about something else. She tells me to mix withthe  riff raff while Brooks climbs through the vent. If I survive this war, I should convince James to take me to a nice place and we go from there. We make it in Khan's office who happens to be dead. That sucks.

This is a nice place. Alright. Which one of these folks ordered the pizza. The woman in front of me has a confused look and the big guy in the corner says he has the munchies. Whatever. Pay up. I don't get paid to hold a pizza all night long

Well this isn't good. A bunch of the bad guys attack until their leader threatens to shoot Brooks. WHAT TH...? Shepard has a clone. Ok. Weird. What puzzles me is Shepard and the clone walk away and speak for a few minutes. What is going on? So the clone is going to have us killed. We kill the bad guys and move forward. I like to know what the clone and Shepard talked about. Something is not right. Whatever it is, I hope the Commander knows what she's doing We get to a big area. A very big area. Again with the boom Ashley. Ah. Good. She switched to assault rilfe. That sniper rifle of hers just scares me.

Crap. Trapped. And Brooks is working with the clone all along. Shepard with her colorful vocabulary, threathens the two. Are we going to die in this vault? This feels like Therum all over again. Shepard. Shut up about 'I should go' crap and get us out of here.

Joker takes us to the Normandy to stop it from leaving. I can't believe the Commander has clone. Ok. Here come some more wannabes. Bang. Bang. These guys really suck. Ohh yeah. Another head explodes. We make it to the ship. What? Commander and the Specialist? That explains everything. Not sure who won the tongue fight, but the Commander seems to be a lot happier now. Enough of the mushy crap Commander. We still have a ship to save.

Inside we fight more clowns. Before going in the elevator, the Commander tells her hamster she will be back. Somtimes I wonder about her.

And now its game on with the clone. Of course we have to fight through more of her lackeyes. Oh crap. The Commander is barely hanging on. Liara grabs her hand while I hold Liara. What to do with the clone? Wow. The clone decided to die. Or at least I would believe she died. Whatever. Its over and the Brooks girl is going to jail for along time.

I tell Joker to make party preparations. I just want to relax and see someone special as well as enjoy the silver strip.

Yeah, warp ammo is really underwhelming. SMGs already have an inherent shield/bariier multiplier. And you get an upgrade that further increases the shield/barrier damage. So the extra damage against barriers warp ammo does is mostly meaningless. The health and armor damage boost from Tungsten, OTOH, can really help. Enemies with barriers have much more health than barrier and you already have a weapon that does extra damage to that protection, so the pitiful health/armor damage boost from warp ammo just isn't worth it compared to Tungsten.

James, the volus with the pizza, Liara, Ashley and Joker.

What I decided to do in this playthrough was to see the events through everyone except Shepard's. It makes it more interesting.

It really does. But Shep sits like a man anyways. ME2 shows more of that though. It's a good thing the dress is slit in the middle.

Yeah... I changed my mind a bit after that last post. I'm using flashbang grenades now. I like my Shepard's being as consistent as possible to their ME1 self. It's why I give reave to my vanguard as their version of a warp (which is true, reave is just a more advanced offshoot of warp) because they lose in after ME1, and why I give fortification to my soldier Sheps because fortification is similar enough to ME1 immunity that I can pretend it's the same. I learned earlier that flashbang grenades act exactly like damping from ME1, they reset cooldowns on tech and biotic enemies to make them unable to cast any powers for a time. And considering damping in ME1 was in the form of a tech grenade just like the flashbang grenades... I can easily pretend Shepard decided to alter damping's grenade path from point-to-point like in ME1 to having an arc to easier hit enemies behind cover. I just need to think the flashbang is coming from her omni-tool even though it truly isn't, and that's that for my head-canon.

She'll lose damping officially in ME3, but... Eh. I'll take the continuity I can get.
