Yeah, I just looked more into it. It seems it got bugged and then they never tried to fix it. Most of the ME3 patches were for Multiplayer, anyways.

Membership to nexus mods is free. I've had one since the days of DA:O. These are the first mods I've ever downloaded for Mass Effect though.

Lol! I just hate backing up my files! I already did that for my ME1 BioGame folder which was like 12GBs.

My ME3 backup folder is 42.7 Gb in size. It's HUGE. That's including all the DLC too, so that the mods will work properly in the DLCs.
So, which cool mods should I get? I only have the high res mod for ME1, so I'm sure you have suggestions

Well... I've modded Ash's appearance to look more like she did in ME1. I like it. Hi-Res N7 armour looks nice, as does HR EDI. There is the option to keep her visor if you wish. It's in there somewhere. ME1 style scars are awesome. Meeting Ken and Gabby in Purgatory is pretty cool, and the Zaeed mod I just installed. I've also got an extended last conversation with Anderson to look forward to. Oh I added HR Alliance combat fatigues, and buff arms for femshep. I haven't installed Garrus' HR Armor mod yet because he's dead in this playthrough.
EDIT: Oh, also gave Alliance colors to the Cerberus Ajax Armor. Looks pretty cool.

There's a bit of a lag when you're changing armors at the locker. And Normandy and Citadel loading screens last a fraction longer --probably due to the number of Alliance Combat Fatigue uniforms it has to load, heh. I've installed all the mods through ME3 Explorer, so I'm stuck with them... but they work great (so far) and they look great (so far), so I'm happy.

I've never really looked at it, to be honest. I wouldn't have any idea of what it used to be like before the mods, so I couldn't compare to how it is now. Sorry 
I understand with texmod the changes aren't permanent, so maybe that's the way to go. You can try out what works.
I should maybe buy a new PC first.
Though, and this is so odd... ME3 runs so much better than ME2 on my current PC :s

Restored the dialogue, now everyone's happy! It would have been my FemShep, but I decided to select this select this chapter(not save)and load right into the part where Shepard flies out of the teleporter(Scene before TIM).

I started another ME3 playthrough
I left Vancouver to visit Mars since I never been there. Got some plan that make the giant walking hands go boom. Talked with some wannabe politicians. Went to a moon to rescue some big shot politician and learned he was killed. Found replacement and now I suppose I'll get a female Krogan.

Boy it seems like people fly through these games. I am only about halfway through my current ME 1 playthrough and I have had real life stuff come up that has made it harder to play but still.
