I actually was going to carry on with Amy tonight, I have had an idea on how I want to play it to keep it interesting.
But I got distracted by Argentina vs Holland and building a house in Skyrim.

Make LOTS of saves. Hearthfire is so buggy it would be funny if I didn't feel like crying.
Today I spent 3 hours tweaking my ME3 femshep using ME3Explorer and Gibbed. When it came time to play I had no more time to play.
Completed Bring Down the Sky and all other side missions, except Wrex's 'family armour', before I head to Virmire.

Just about to finish BDtS myself. One last torch to shut down, and one last engineer to find. Gonna let Balak go this time and meet him again in ME3. Might shoot him there and avenge Kate Bowman's brother.
Kinda makes me think of the Garrus/Dr. Heart mission and letting Garrus shoot the doc. Garrus told me about how he wanted to shoot down Saleon's ship as it was leaving the citadel and he was refused... to save the hostages. If I let Balak go now to save the hostages now, and kill him later, it'll be the same thing.

Condolences man, tough loss.

Yeah, I always want to kill Balak whether I'm doing a Renegade or Paragon run. lol.
I try to stay in character, but I love to hate that guy.
On a side note, in ME3 if you let Balak live and take the persuade option, an Assault Rifle Barrel upgrade becomes available (immediately after) at the "Bararian State Arms" shop. So on a new game when I'm still upgrading weapons and mods I let the b@#**ard live. (mostly)

I believe a shotgun mod upgrade also becomes available.
That match was godawful, from both sides.
Only Ron Vlaar was heroic... but then he missed the spot kick.
Just reached the Peak 15 Research Facility on Noveria. After killing a few geth we were attacked by a couple of rachni. When the fight was over Liara said, "What were those?" and Wrex answered, "Damned if I know, but someone on this rock sure does." ... I did a double-take. Wouldn't Wrex have some idea of what the rachni look like. His interest in the genophage would... one would think... make him want to learn all he could about the state of the galaxy during the rachni wars and subsequent krogan rebellions.
I know every squadmate says basically the same thing at that moment, but I was hoping for something different from Wrex. Ah well.

Well, he never fought the Rachni, and I don't think the galaxy has documented their appearance or how they looked like during the Rachni Wars. Wrex has never seen the Rachni until Noveria, and so, I guess he's assuming it's just a creature native to Noveria. The dialogue is a bit contradicting, but my guess would be what I stated.

Sure, I understand all that, and I agree... but I was hoping for a little more, like Grunt on Utukku: "The rachni! A chance to face the old enemy? Impossible to resist." ... that would have been awesome.

Maybe BioWare was trying to surprise us with crazy Rachni. Grunt has never seen one until Utukku, but even then, he never saw a real one, only a reaperfied one.

No but he knew of them. Okeer made sure of that. I think Grunt even mentions something about it, "Okeer ensured I knew of the rachni."

Yes, he does mention it if you ask him if Okeer imprinted him with any information about the rachni during his creation.
Started another playthrough yesterday of ME3.
Jenna Shepard Engineer Paragon this is a new game plus from a default ME3 playthrough
playing on insanity mode. During the Mars mission, it was like playing on normal mode. Maybe next game they can add an unbelievable mode or something.

There is "What's Beyond Insanity." If Insanity is truly like Silver, it would be way too easy for me, but probably harder for me on PC.

Even the one time I played insanity, I found Mars not too difficult. Spent more time behind cover but I remember thinking, "wow this isn't so bad."
My engineer Shepard went to Palaven's moon and picked up Garrus. Fought the uglies. Either I've played this game too many times or insanity mode is the new normal mode. I didn't even have to get in cover when fighting the uglies. It was like a walk in the park

I'm thinking about doing another insanity run myself. Maybe by the time I get to ME3 this run, I'll feel like it. Just reached Feros in my current game. Brought Garrus and Tali along and we're just about to get into the Mako after clearing up all of Zhu's Hope's little problems.
Since I got control of the Normandy I've only returned to the Citadel once, after recruiting Liara. All I have left to do is Feros, and the two side missions that crop up afterwards, then Virmire, then mandatory return to the Citadel. But I could have gotten this far without ever going back there... except that I'd miss out on all of Kahoku's stuff if I don't tell him what happened to his squad.
I kinda like that about ME1.
Finished ME1. Going to import to ME2, but not sure whether to stay as Engineer or change class.
I do love the Soldier class, especially in ME2.
Wanted to check how ME3 looked like in the lowest settings. It's not bad, really. My frames are in the higher 30s to 40s, but they still drop to the higher 20s depending on what's happening on-screen. And yet, I play with TexMods...
Most PC players would probably shoot themselves if they played at my fps with mods.
Don't even ask about how bad the frames are when FRAPS is recording with 2 mods currently running. It's not too bad if FRAPS is on with no mods. It kinda feels like PS3 again.
