Finished Priority: Rannoch and started Citadel DLC. Brokered peace between the quarian and the geth, renegade line. Joker was amused that Shepard managed to end a war by yelling. Then headed to the citadel.

Random pics of Shep and James trying to be suave:

The things that play into her Survival is quite ridiculous. And breaking up with her ensures her death anyways. BioWare's decision on that was too cruel and it was foolish.

It was about 'the feelz.' femShep got to be spurned by Jacob or have Thane die on her because he refused treatment Dr. Chakwas mentioned, and also due to cut scene stupidity, leaving femShep with nothing but lesbian LI unless she spared Kaidan in ME1 and didn't shoot him during the coup. ManShep gets to have feels for breaking up with Miranda because she's upset about him and not up to her best with Kai Lame.

Femshep really got the short end of the stick in ME3. Her only straight options are Kaidan and Garrus (unless you count as romance getting James drunk enough to have sex with her), while dudeshep can have Miranda, Jack, Ashley, Tali and Liara. The gay options are balanced, but they're only two. I have no issue playing the game without romancing anybody (I did it in ME1 an ME2), but the difference in number of options is ridiculous.

Garrus is one of my favourite characters and his romance is very sweet, but doing it with my canon Shep feels a bit like incest. As I keep on repeating since I played the Omega DLC, Aria might have been an interesting match

I don't think I'll get to playing Mass Effect anytime soon.

Because, aside from living the life I've wanted to live in NBA 2K14 career mode, the International 2014 is going on as well. When I'm watching that all I can think is: 'damn... I've always dreamt about being able to play videogames for a living, and these guys are playing a tournament with a prize pool of over $10,000,000. There's live play-by-play commentary. There's a crowd watching them.. holy sh**. I never expected this to happen when I was a little 8 year old boy and playing games was considered weird as f***'

(yes I know, my dreams are all over the place. I both would've wanted to be a professional athlete and a pro gamer :P)

Yeah, Femshep got screwed over. If you left Kaidan on Virmire and didn't romance Garrus in Mass Effect 2, you can't have a straight romance in Mass Effect 3, it's hilarious.

Ah well, Liara and Sam are better romances anyway.

M!Shep has more romance options, but I find that they are more uncomfortable in how exploitative they seem to me, particularly Jack, Tali and Cortez. Traynor and Liara have no such issue, in my opinion.

My more renegade Vanguard Femshep just fell for Liara somewhat to my and her (femshep's) surprise. I'm thinking I may leave Kaidan on Virmire for this one and romance Garrus in 2 & 3. He seems to fit her more "do what it takes" mentality than Kaidan or Liara and it would give me the opportunity to get to know Ash better. Lots of time left before that decision since I've just done a couple of side missions since picking up Liara.

I've been trudging through wave after wave of omniscient, omnipresent, Cerberus filler trash gathering war assets and reputation as I work toward the end game. Just got the Krogan and Turian missions after finishing Omega and Leviathan (a refreshing fight against actual reaper forces).

Agreed. Jack a little less so in ME3 imo. I thought femshep was a bit forceful towards Garrus in ME2 too, but that completely changes in ME3.

Heh. I'm still playing ME during my exams summer session, and I'm as late as one can get.

I can relate to having weirdly assorted ambitions. I thought I wanted to work in IT, but after starting college I got sick of programming and realized I really liked powerlifting and training people. Still have to finish college though.

Continuing with Jenna Shepard.  Killed a bunch of the keystone cops during the coup and a lot more when doing the bomb mission. Playing on insanity mode. What a joke. Insanity should never be this easy.

Wow, you're just breezing through this playthrough. I'm mired in the quicksand of first conversations with everybody after first gaining control of the SR-2.

Just finished a trilogy play being faithful to ashley. I only spoke with the male characters in me2 in order to not risk entering in a new romance. Only spoke with females when it was time to receive trigger the loyalty missions. Next I´ll do the same, but with male characters.

My next play of me2 will also be a vanilla one. I´ll not recruit zaed nor kasumi, nor try any of the dlc missions until after the suicide mission.

The romance triggers are pretty clear in ME2. I have never had a romance that I didn't want. And I think you can still back out of one before "consummation" in case you accidentally trigger one. I triggered one with Miranda once when I didn't mean to, but the game let me instantly choose an option that made it clear I wasn't interested in her in that way.

ME1's ninja-mances, I think, made everyone very wary of talking to their team mates. That's too bad.

Recruited my boy, Grunt, and then took him along to rescue Archangel. I was going to do Overlord and Kasumi's mission as well, but 'real life' keeps intruding.

Just kidding. I'm no insanity vet, so that's impressive.

Just to rub it in a little bit. I have yet to loose any health so far. My shields have gone down, but no health bars yet.

First the cut, then a pinch of salt...

What bonus power are you using?

Lash. I've only used it a couple of times when faced with Cerberus Guardians. I mostly got it for when I face Kai Leng. Its just so funny when fighting him on Thessia and Chronos.

Agreed. Too bad shep couldn't have yanked him out of the skycar with Lash, just after he stabbed Thane.

Why not just flip the skycar over? Or run it under one of those cross walks? Splat.

I have been reading and viewing all of the Mass Effect concept artwork that I can, including art and interviews with Derek Watts, Matthew Rhodes and Michael Trottier (among others).  I have also been gathering art books by Syd Mead, John Berkey, John Harris, Robert Bailey and H. R. Giger as well as the architecture of Santiago Calatrava, Hélio Ferreira Pinto, Douglas Cardinal, Moshe Safdie and a few others.  This stuff is amazing.  It's easy to understand how an appreciation for these works made its way into the designs of landscapes, buildings, vehicles, characters and races of the trilolgy.

Sure, viable options too... it's just that using Lash against Kai Leng is one of the most fun ways to kill him that I've seen yet.

Or throw a grenade in the elevator before the door closes.

Slightly off topic, but lately I've been playing Xenonauts and Skyrim and today was considering finishing up my ME3 run. I've got Leviathan left to do along with the party but I don't think I can bring myself to do it. I've got at least 20 runs through by this point. I still like reading and participating in the forums but damn do I need some new ME. I think I've played out the trilogy at this point.
