Yeah, that does sound much easier haha.

I'm not one for using these glitches though, I'm fiercely anti-cheating :P

I can't do it, man. I can't play the same shep three times just to get to level 60 for import into ME2. Not anymore. Hell, DA:I is here in three months.

I've never imported a level 60 character

I've never done NG+ either (obviously, I suppose)

I did it once. Once.

Yeah, I meant the Therum mining laser experience glitch, should have explained myself better.

It's very easy to do, but if you're not patient, you won't like it. Using the glitch is much faster and playing through the game twice though, it normally takes me about two hours of using it to reach level 55 and then I play the game properly from there. If I played on PC I would use the console but sadly, I'm stuck on Xbox.

What I do is rescue Eden Prime, go to the Citadel and ignore all the side quests except for Emily Wong's and Conrad Verners, go to Therum, use glitch to level 55, rescue Liara, come back to Citadel and do the rest of the Citadel side quests, then I leave the Citadel and start playing the game proper.

If you do Liara's mission early on in your play through there's no point in using the laser glitch to reach level 60, mainly because the number of experience points that you get from level 55 onwards is ridiculous. I normally reach level 60 during Virmire.

I got into the second stage on the Citadel finally. That whole Kai Lame event gets more ridiculous every time I see it. Why didn't Thane take the shot when he had it? Why did Shepard slowly body-strafe around the counselor instead of moving the gun laterally and taking a shot around the counselor? I hope someone at Bioware felt their ears burning last night, because I was telling them how I felt.

That nonsense aside, I'm stock FULL of side missions and looking forward to wrapping this up so I can play something else. Will probably be a year or three before I replay the series again.

Why didn't Kai Leng kill the councilor when he first saw her before Thane showed up? He's an assassin right?

Dalatress was cloaked, for one, and stalling the kill drew Shepard out from cover.  He's an assassin, but he and TIM also have other objectives.

For the same reason Shepard didn't just shoot him straight away and then just stood there while Thane was getting himself killed. Cutscene stupidity. It's even more ridiculous when playing a biotic.

Did he know Shepard was in the area? Doesn't matter. He saw the councilor before he dropped to the floor and failed to kill when the moment presented itself. Even when he killed the councilor, depending on your playthrough, he waited too long. Kill the target and move to the next one.

That can be applied on Thessia. Why put your sword in the ground when you could put the sword in T'soni?

All of Cerberus knew that Shepard was in the vicinity, yes, and tearing through their ranks. I'd also bank on Bailey's omni-tool channel not being terribly secure.

Why not kill two birds with one stone, both of which are incredibly important birds? Stalling the kill should have feasibly done this, given Leng's confidence/abilities and Shepard's position on the station. The plan was simply foiled, to varying degrees based on who's survived across the two previous games.

Screw it, trying to flesh out my Femshep with Mass Effect 1 side content is impossible. There's way too many values to change, and I've had to restart over a few times because I messed up, Bioware made the import mechanic way too complicated.

I'll just grit my teeth and play through Mass Effect 1 again. As much as I dislike the game, I'll enjoy playing through it more than I'll enjoy mucking about with Gibbed, especially since it's likely I would mess up the save and it wouldn't import properly into Mass Effect 3.

Yeah, I know most of this, but the promoting an MP character and the Mass Effect:Infiltrator stuff I'm going to skip, since I want SP assets only. I've avoided promoting my MP characters because my WA number would be super bloated.

Are you on PC? Download a shepard that did all of ME1 at masseffectsaves.com and edit the easy values like LI, class, name and you're set.

If he wanted to kill Shepard, why didn't he stick around and fight her/him? He was focused on the other members and didn't want to loose anymore time than was necessary?

There was also the moment when we were on the flying car, and my Shepard shot at Kai Lame but his shields absorbed/deflected the shots. I was thinking "come on Shepard, use Overload or something; you're a damn Sentinel" but no, railroaded into a crash and Kai Lame got away without so much as a scratch. I think in ME3 the greatest antagonist is Bioware because it is their name I direct my rage against while playing through watching helplessly as these cutscenes break common sense and several of the game's own rules.

At any rate, it was nice saving the Counselors a second time, and putting a bullet in Udina always feels good (I let Ashley do it this time).

I... uh... loaded up the game.... walked around and bought a couple of things, and went back to the Normandy, then to the galaxy map and fell sound asleep. I awoke an hour later and went to bed.

I would rather shoot Udina in the arm, leg or shoulder to get whatever information from him

Reevaluation of the situation, perhaps, when he realizes it'll be three on one with no backup from Phantoms or airships.

He still confirmed Shepard's precise location and got a jump start on his next targets, whether he succeeded against the salarian or not.

Why are we trying to assign logic to Kai Leng's actions? His Aura of Contrivance ability makes such speculation useless.

Just completed Zaeed's and Kasumi's loyalty missions. Played a soldier shep in ME1, but switched to an engineer shep for ME2 & 3. After my first insanity run as an engineer, I think that class has become my favorite. Not as flashy as a vanguard or an infiltrator or even an adept, but damn, engineers sure get the job done. I feel like I want to ask all the bad guys, "and how would you like to die today?" before I kill them.

Except 'mechs. They get headshot whenever possible, although it is fun to take their arms first. And pyros get overloaded. Always.

Just finished Feros and managed to save all the colonists this time although I did enjoy shooting the Exogeni guy. I've cut off the Councilors a couple of times now including after Theros although my sentinel Shep is turning into quite the paragon otherwise. Now I'm off to the Citadel to finish up some of the side missions by talking to lots of people. I'm thinking of doing Virmire after finishing at the Citadel since the council seemed to think something big might be happening there instead of waiting until I finished Noveria. Or I might delay that as long as possible just to annoy the Council.

My game play mechanics have improved immensely since my first play through so I'm actually enjoying playing on veteran (I think - it's the level just below insanity) level instead of on easy like in my first run. I'll work my way up to insanity in time.

Finished Horizon mission then went to pick up Tali. Then headed to Ilium, but left it there.

Maybe because it still makes me sad when I see Liara again and she doesn't come with you.

Well, until LotSB.

I'm dumping Liara for Tali in this playthrough. In ME3 I'm taking them on as many missions as possible together. Shep can be a jerk sometimes.
