It occurred to me to try when I got a critical mission failure seeing how far the Mako could go out.

I drove the mako off the cliff on Noveria, off the highway on Feros, into the lava on Therum and into the ocean on Virmire. The squad thought my driving was bad on Eletania. I showed 'em how bad it could get. Anyway, didn't get very far before the mission fail screen.

I think I've done all of those at least once. Unfortunately, not on purpose.

Getting ready to install the hi-res texture mod for ME1. Not sure I'm up for starting a new play-through just yet, though I am eager to see what it looks like in something other than a screenshot.

I got Pinnacle Station for free through Origin. Didn't even have to look for it, it was just there.

Thanks. I attached my ME1 copy to my Origin account and it's really there :)

Welcome :) Maybe you'll get more playing time out of it than I did.

That happened to me as well. I didn't realize I was off course till the critcal mission faliure screen popped up. In my defense, as lame as it is, it was my first playthrough of ME1 when that happened.

I didn't think getting into the Virmire ocean was even possible. Congratulations, I guess.

There are spots along the path where you can get into the deep water, closer to the salarian base, I believe.

Took Tali and Jack through Dantius Towers, and they made a very effective team with engineer shep. Tali and shep sent their drones after the asari commandos to keep them distracted while we took down their barriers, then incinerated their armor, then shockwave to launch them into the air, then cryo blast to freeze them, then shotgun from Tali/Jack to shatter them. Tali also hacked any 'mechs around to add to the confusion. Bit complicated to setup and execute... but entertaining and totally worth it.

Tali has always been my second to the last squadmate to be recruited. I'm too lazy to recruit her any faster,

Same here usually, but gonna romance her this time, so I wanna bring her on lots of missions.

Ah, okay. I think ME2 romances are just way too easy.

I replayed the whole trilogy again solely to count the number of enemies you kill in each game and each mission.

I never thought of using the Mako as a battering ram, at least not deliberately. I wish I'd read this stuff before I did Virmire last night. :) I did, however, deliberately drive into the ocean in Virmire on my 1st run through and accidentally went into the lava on Therum and off the skyway on Feros. I don't remember going off the cliffs on Noveria but I may have to try that when I get there - just because.

On Virmire, I talked Wrex down using the renegade options this time. I was happy to see that I didn't have to kill him while being a renegade. I sent Kaidan off with Kirrahe and used Wrex and Garrus as my team. I didn't talk to the indoctrinated Salarian in the cell this time. I heard him talking but went through too fast and decided not to go back. I killed Rana Thanoptis (sp?) this time so I won't get to meet up with her again later. No great loss as I seem to remember her being involved in some questionable activities again the next time we meet. Finally, I rescued Kaidan and Kirrahe and actually told Kaidan that I rescued him because I liked him. Although I must say it seemed like an odd conversation to have in front of the rest of the team. Maybe it was supposed to be a private conversation but immediately afterwards we're talking to the rest of the team so I'm not sure.

After that I went off to kill the other of Helena Blake's rivals and then wandered into the biotic camp system and proceeded to wipe everyone out. Oops. I guess I could have been a little more charming there. On the other hand, my renegade points are really picking up. And then I did Bring Down the Sky. I killed the rival Batarian boss this time but spared Balak to save the hostages. Out of curiosity, is it possible to save any of the engineers? The 1st time I did it I left them until last so I assumed that if you did them quicker you might be able to save them. But this time I found one by accident before I turned off any of the torches so I'm thinking they are all dead before you arrive on the scene.

I'm off to the Horse Head Nebula next to do Noveria and a couple of side missions.

Yep, those engineers are all dead by the time you get there. I'm guessing they were killed in the initial sweep.

Played Lair of the Shadow Broker and rekindled the romance with Liara.   'Giggiddy'.

Then did Tali's and Mordins loyalty missions. I took Grunt with me and I'm always surprised how little he says during that mission (Mordins loyalty).

I prefer to bring Garrus to Mordin's loyalty mission because of how little Grunt contributes. At least Garrus has that line about hospitals not being fun to fight through, which is referenced in the Citadel DLC.

When I play LotSB this time, I've got to make sure not to rekindle the romance with Liara. First time I've ever played it that way... meaning I've never romanced Liara in ME1, then someone else later on.

^ Ha! Be strong mate.

I really love that DLC and not just for getting back with Liara. The car chase scenes and landing on the Brokers ship is totally awesome.

And reading all the dossiers in the ship is interesting too.

When I first went through the dossiers, I didn't really explore them. When I did, I couldn't help but feel that my Shepard was a bit tainted after that, because there's a lot of TMI stuff going on with them.

I've been messing about with the character creator but can't really build something I like, yet.

I really hope ME4 is going to have a crazy cool creator.

Yeah, but some are pretty funny, like Grunt looking up dinosaurs or like Legion taunting other gamers.

Also Zaeed talking to Kelly Chambers and the transcript between Mordin and Kirrahe.

The current Amy playhtorugh I only used the Mako for Thresher Maws (although I ended up fighting those on foot as well).
