And...the council buried their heads in the sand once again and grounded Shep. Sigh. And then, after all that, she saved them because she figured the devil she knows. I mean they can't disbelieve her again can they?

But before that she found that last Keeper hiding from her on the Citadel and finished scanning the keepers. And then took a brief dancing break at Flux (probably destroying the visual cortex of everyone else there). I was hoping Kaidan and Garrus would get to dance as well but alas, no. Because it's not like Saren is off on Ilos acquiring the Conduit or anything so no rush getting off the Citadel. Though, to be fair, Anderson doesn't explicitly say he has a plan for getting the Normandy off the Citadel in his message. She let Anderson hack Udina's computer this time and it was fun to watch Udina getting smacked.

She briefly considered going to look for that last League of One medallion but decided saving the galaxy was a better idea. Ilos was fairly uneventful except for learning all those things about the reapers that the council still won't believe when they hear about them. After getting back to the Citadel and kicking some Geth butt, she harangued Saren into killing himself and then decided to earn some galactic goodwill by saving the council. It was odd that Garrus argued against using the human fleet to save the council while Kaidan argued for it. Joker and his very odd grimace (what's with that white stripe between his lips?) proceeded to destroy Sovereign. Happily everyone survives at the end. Anderson will be the new council member because there aren't enough renegade points in the universe to have me recommend Udina.

God Dammit! Jenkins died. Again. This this is the third time Jennifer Shepard has had Jenkins die on her. What was she thinking? Third time's a charm? She should have known by now not to signal Jenkins to take point. Sometimes I wonder about Shepard.

I'm still waiting for that playthrough in which Jenkins yells

LEEEEEEEEEEEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Before getting killed.

If you haven't already, you should try the paragon route on Garrus' loyalty missions, but still let him take the shot in the end.

Sidonis will thank you for letting Garrus kill him.

I do this all the time. It's one of those options that you never know is there until you've played through the game numerous times, then when you find it you kick yourself for not finding it earlier. Leaving Jacob's dead to be killed by the Hunters is another one.

I found this out when trying to maximize morality points  :P

I was watching the last season of Prison Break on Netflix with my girlfriend and I noticed Rafael Sbarge was playing one of the company's assassins' Every so often he spoke in Kaidan voice and I kept getting weird looks for shouting out 'No Kaidan! You're such a nice guy!' at the screen. Tonight I'll finish up the LMs and do Overlord. Not sure if I'll leave LotSB till after the SM or before.

Rafael Sbarge is in a few episodes of season five of Dexter. I've finally gotten around to working my way through that show, and it was a surprise to hear Kaidan in Miami Metro Police Dept.

Anhur Shepard explored the Citadel after becoming a Spectre.

While scanning keepers continually, he first agreed to help out Admiral Kahoku who was missing a team. Then some guy was moping and Anhur reluctantly agreed to help out find his brother. After leaving the Tower with the elevator, he heard Hanar and a Turian C-Sec officer bicker. The Hanar was persuaded nicely to leave. Anhur then went back to the embassies to help out Samesh. After talking with Bosker Samesh was convinced it was better his wife's body was held for tests.

He took a cab to the med clinic where, of course, Dr Michel was in trouble again. He agreed to help. On the way to the markets he delivered the OSD's from Fist to Emily Wong, and pressured her for extra credits.

Instead of going to the markets Anhur took a detour to Flux to see what it was all about. Found some girl in trouble named Jenna. He also stumbled upon an odd signal coming from one of the gambling devices. Then went to the markets and yelled at the blackmailer making him leave Dr. Michel alone.

Intrigued by that strange signal from the gambling machine in Flux he forgot to go back do Dr Michel to tell her. He went trough the wards access corridor to track the signal, which lead him to the financial district. Had a quick chat with Barla Von, then traced the signal to another place on the presidium, nearby where he found an AI which he took care off.

Still forgetting about Dr. Michel he went to the Consort to see what all the fuss was about... and this woman too wanted something from him, of course. At least Anhur got to skip the waiting list. So off he went to Chora's Denn, where he both convinced Septimus he was being a ***** as well as spoke to Jenna, to no avail. A weird Turian told him to go to C-Sec if Anhur wanted to know more.

First he took care of Septimus extra business, an Elcor named Xeltan who was having some issues because of Septimus, and then back Sha'ira. He gave him a gift of words. Anhur was not satisfied.

Anhur left satisfied

...and got a trinket.

So off he went to C-Sec, still completely forgetting about Dr. Michel. Agreed to Chelick to deal with some thug named Jax. In the C-Sec building he also met Jahleed, someone convinced Chorban the Keeper guy wants to kill him.

Everybody needs Anhurs help!

In the markets he spoke with Chorban, and the situation was getting a bit silly. These guys were clearly in over their heads so Anhur agreed to help them out. Jax was also dealt with, simply by handing him the money and receiving the mods, which were then brought back to Chellic. Jahleed was convinced to work with Chorban again. Anhur hopes everybody's #@%#^ happy now.

Looking in his journal to see what kind of 'tasks' he had found already, he discovered one of them was on the Citadel already: Helana Blake.

... and Dr Michel. Damn. She must've been worried. He quickly went to see her.. and she gave him a discount. Sweet.

Helena Blake was told he wouldn't help her, she still gave him the coordinates expecting he wouldn't be able to resist taking down these criminals.

She's probably right.

Anhur found the last Keeper before talking to Anderson and Udina:

Tomorrow Anhur will get to know his crew better and then head for Therum to get Dr Liara T'Soni. Asari are gifted biotics, and this squad could use a pure biotic.

(though Sentinel with Singularity as bonus power is awesome so far. It's kinda odd even to have access to it from the start of the game :P)

Well, I was on my 360 last night. Irina went to Pragia with Jack and Grunt. I'd never used Grunt on that mission before so, what the hell, right? Irina was a paragon in ME1. Fat chance in ME2. We're working for The Illusive Man and we're acting like it. So Jack's getting all sentimental and everything as we're walking through the place, and I'm finally remembering how to properly play a vanguard. Yeah, CHARGE!!!! Except unlike ME3 I can't end up in the upper deck of Firebase White. So we find Aresh. The moron wants to restore the place. Jack wants to blow it up.

Jack - "I should kill him." and she's hesitating....

Do it. - "You're a killer, Jack. That's what killers do."

Jack - "That felt... good."

Shepard - "A bullet in the head solves everything."

Then after reminiscing we headed back to the Normandy. Jack is loyal.

Played Jack's LM that way in my last playthrough. Makes her character turn in ME3 a little more jarring though. Not that shep cared, heh.

I don't remember it line for line, but shep convinces Jack that she has to stop being trapped in the past, like Aresh is. Jack doesn't shoot him, let's him go... and you get a cool email in ME3

I'm pretty damn sure Aresh dies either way, 'cause there's no way he survived that blast. We rode the shuttle pretty damn far, and even then, the blast radius almost got the shuttle. I doubt Aresh could run farther than the blast radius.

Sure, if we're gonna be realistic. But, after dealing with Aresh, you go on a tour around Jack's old room, you have to plant the bomb, etc. You could imagine if you wanted to, that plenty of time had passed for Aresh to get away. He may have had a ship of his own somewhere. Besides, emails don't lie  ;)

Noble paragon-y consolidation of one's past, with a bit of insulting doubt in Aresh's abilities to restart the facility.  It's not bad for a blue persuasion.

2:15.

Aside from the "bullet to the head" line (which all my Shepards avoid, despite one really wanting to say "You're free" in another way), all the paths in that scenario are handled rather decently.

He likely had a ship nearby or otherwise how would he have gotten there?

You now have two minutes to reach minimum safe distance.

You don't have to be able to pass a persuade check to save Aresh. If you take the right middle option "leave him alone" then you will get a chance for a paragon interrupt to save Aresh. If you take the right renegade "kill him" option, then Jack will tell you its her decision and decide not to kill him on her own.

Life is intervening so I'm not going to be able to re-enter the ME universe for a week or so. I was debating doing a replay of ME1 to get to level 60 before going to ME2. Is there any particular benefit in either future ME1 missions or ME2 missions with the same Shep to getting to level 60 with a Shep (other than just getting some of the achievements)?

The benefits of importing a level 60 character are minimal. Something like 20k extra credits and 10k extra minerals. Plus, you start out at level 5 versus level 3 for a level 50-59 import. I am not even sure that is a benefit because you will be fighting level 6 enemies by the time you reach Freedom's Progress even though you don't have any upgrades yet. I suppose it would depend somewhat on the class. A Soldier could max out Adrenaline Rush right away and that could help, but the other classes would not benefit as much.

Yeah, that would be right.

A portion of the character's Paragon/Renegade points (up to 190 each, which requires the bar(s) to be 50% full[1]) are transferred over.
Importing a level 1 through level 49 character will grant 1,000 XP (the player starts at level 2), 20,000 credits, and 2,500 of each resource.
Importing a level 50 through level 59 character will grant 2,000 XP (the player starts at level 3), 30,000 credits, and 5,000 of each resource.
Importing a level 60 character will grant 4,000 XP (the player starts at level 5), 50,000 credits, and 10,000 of each resource.
Having the "Rich" achievement from Mass Effect will grant an additional 100,000 credits.
The import bonuses will stack with the Mass Effect 2 completion starting bonuses (200,000 credits and 50,000 of each resource).

Getting close to the end of ME2 in this playthrough. Been a busy day wrapping up all those little side missions, plus the last couple loyalty missions, and LotSB. Now all that's left is the reaper IFF, Legion's LM, the suicide mission and Arrival. Reached level 30 some time ago, have nearly all the upgrades, and none of the crew has anything new to say. I'll be glad to wrap this up and move on to ME3.

^ Yeah, I just started my ME3 run.

I made it to Mars (wish you could punch Ashley when she gets on your case) and picked up Liara.   Made it to the room outside the archives and ..  fell asleep. lol

My new PS3 shuts down after being idle for a while, but that's what 'auto-saves' are for. :D

Playing through LotSB and breaking up with Liara was kinda weird. I've always gone into the DLC in the past either having not romanced her at all, or intending to continue her romance. But we had a relationship in ME1, and I even dumped Ash for her, who later died. Liara and shep ended up friendly but platonic.
