I don't hate it nearly as much as I hate the husk-filled mine in ME2. At least that mission has a little creep factor.

Can't remember exactly when the confrontation happened in my last game, but it was definitely before Virmire because Ash died there.

Just started Eden Prime with Liara and Tali. On the shuttle ride down to the planet, she recalls finding the data about Saren, and shep is glad she was so curious about the geth. She says, "happy to help." 

 

When we first bring up the stasis pod and Liara says it's not a prothean artifact but an actual prothean, Tali asks if it's a collector, or is it like those bodies we found on Ilos. Liara responds that it's like on Ilos, except this prothean is still alive. 

 

As a side note, Tali and I sent our drones to pester those first two Nemesises (Nemeses?) that attack after discovering the stasis pod. So much fun. None of us fired a single shot, we just sat back and watched. 

 

I'm live-tweeting this mission so I better get back to it, heh... but I think I like holding off on recruiting Javik, for a little while at least. Gonna wait and bring Ash along next time.

The QTE's in Tomb Raider annoy the hell out of me, they were fricken everywhere and done in the most obnoxious way. At times during the game I wondered whether Crystal Dynamics got confused during development and couldn't decide whether they wanted to make TR a game or a movie. It's the exact same problem so many PS3 exclusives like Uncharted have, and I avoid those games like the plague.

Like I said in another thread, I started another ME3 playthrough. I was going to start an ME2 playthrough, but I wanted to check on something in ME3.

 

Monica Shepard. Engineer, Ruthless. B*t*h. Earthborn.

 

She walks out the room to follow some guy I don't know and sees Ander--something. Stands in front of a bunch of morons only to have them die a few moments later. Cool. Fights some ugly looking crap and jumps on the Normandy ramp. She talks with Hackett the slackett and ends up on Mars.

 

Meet some Asari who found clues that lead to the archives that may contain plans to stop the reapers. Fights through a bunch of clowns who are wearing Cerberus armor. They should fight the boy scouts. Its probably more their speed.

 

Watch Ashley get seriously injured by what appears to be a robot. Shoot robot. Robot dead. Get on Normandy and head to the Citadel.

Met the girl who did the retofits on the ship. Why is she on my ship? I should keep a close eye on her. She could be a spy

 

Went to Manae. Killed a bunch of stinkers that the reapers made. Maybe I should eat a can of beans and fart so I can stink like them. Found the new Primarch, General Victus

 

Back on the Citadel. I spoke with Thane who said he'd watch over Ashley who is recovering from her wounds. I saw her talking with Udina.

 

Kasumi helped me track down an indoctrinated Hanar. Stupid jellyfish.

After a very relaxing vacation in Key West, I started a NG+ with my Earthborn, sole-survivor infiltrator Shepard because I want to get insanity mode and I was really missing my snper rifle. She's going to be a lot more of a renegade than in her first run, where I basically had no idea what I was doing. It is interesting to see all the stuff you start out with. And fun to level up all the companions at one time instead of doing it piecemeal over the course of the game.

Unfortunately Jenkins still died at Eden Prime, although the Geth went down fairly quickly as well. I took the opportunity to question Ashley's actions at every opportunity. I don't think we're going to get along really well. I also took the time to get the cutscene where Shep, Kaidan & Ashley are overlooking the field where Sovereign landed. Thanks to everyone in this and some of the other threads for pointng out interesting things that aren't always easily found.

Then we went to report our findings to the Council. Who, of course, didn't believe us! Again! Well, after picking up Wrex and Garrus, and killing a bunch of people in Chora's Den who were shooting at us for some unknown reason, we talked Fist into telling us where the Quarian was (and then had no issue with Wrex shooting Fist). And then we went to rescue Tali. And YAY! we're now a SPECTRE.

After finding the scene where Kaidan admits that he finds Shep attractive (I think I'll get along well with the handsome lieutenant) and meandering around the Citadel for awhile, we find out that Anderson is retiring and the Normandy is ours. So we head for Feros to try to figure out why the Geth are there.

I also took the time to get the cutscene where Shep, Kaidan & Ashley are overlooking the field where Sovereign landed. Thanks to everyone in this and some of the other threads for pointng out interesting things that aren't always easily found.

7 times (or something like that) I hauled my pretty ass through ME1.

Talked with Victus, Dalatross and the Krogan leader. His name is Wreav. Monica likes the guy, but will not cure the genophage.

 

On Sur'Kesh saw Mordin. Nice character. Fought more of the whatevers. Bunch of idiots. Saved krogan female. Whatever.

 

The girl told me about Grissom Academy. Saved the students and saw Jack. She's a teacher. Ok. Sure. What's next? Ted Bundy teaches kindergarten kids.

 

Went back to the Citadel. Talked with Ashley. Thane sitting like a robot facing out the window. Talked with Miranda. I want her on my ship. She's a tough individual that helped me defeat the collectors. And finally spoke with Steve.

 

Monica is on her way to check on some krogan scouts that are missing.

Did 2 of the 5 Geth Incursion planets, hitting level 50 on the second.

Bought a full set of Spectre X gear from the requisitions officer.
Flew to the Citadel and unloaded equipment at Dr. Michel's until I hit the money cap, did a round on the Citadel and actually ran into some good armors (among which a Collosus X for Garrus) and upgrades, then bought another full set from that C-Sec dude. Unloaded rest of equipment until I hit the money cap again, converted the rest to omnigel, aside from equipment I thought I could use. (I have pretty much every squadmember fully equipped)
Flew to Noveria, bought an upgrade then went back to the requisition's officer to buy another full set of Spectre X gear. Reconfigured everybody's gear at the Normandy. Everybody has at least 4 Spectre VII weapons on him/her now.

Tomorrow I'll probably finish the Geth Incursions... though the first one I have to do next is Antibaar

Arrived on Feros and found lots of Geth wandering around shooting people. So I shot them instead. Talked to Fai Dan after repelling the latest Geth raid and then talked to a lot of colonists about life in the colony and things they needed. Funny but none of the colonists wanted to discuss the colony directly. Mentioned to Fai Dan that people were acting odd and he said it was stress. OK - I'm sure that's it. Took Wrex and Tali off to help the colonists out. Had a couple of problems with the Krogan mercs but otherwise went smoothly. Mentioned to Fai Dan that met another colonist who was acting strangely and he blew me off again.

So Wrex, Tali and I headed out in search of the Geth. The skyway took me a little longer than usual because I decided that I wanted to kill all the Geth on foot instead of using the Mako to get the extra XP. Oh and I wandered into the side walkways on the skyway to see what was there and got to kill some more Geth. Then we found the group of survivors and learned a bit more about what was happening on Feros with ExoGeni (or so I thought).

Got to Exogeni and then started getting the whole story. Got really ticked off at everyone who had been lying to me and took it out on the Geth. Although I did make the time to find the one guy's data and to save the one woman's daughter (even after finding out she was misrepresenting the truth). Went back to find the Exogeni guy and managed to avoid killing him using the renegade dialogue options. I'd always shot him in my admittedly only 2 previous play throughs. Used the grenades to save all of the colonists except Fai Dan (and why isn't it possible to just throw a grenade at him as well?) but decided to shoot Shiala because I couldn't be sure she was really free of Saren/Sovereign's influence.

Talked to the council and managed not to hang up on them when all they could do was criticize the way I handled the mission. I'm sure they would have been just as obnoxious if I killed off all of the colonists. Will probably follow up on all the info I received while doing this mission next. Geth incursions and shipments to other systems need to be investigated. However, I want to check with the crew about their reaction to this mission first, and maybe flirt some with the handsome lieutenant.

I'm running a ME2 run with Nadia. Over the past two nights she took a trip to the Citadel, kicked the crap out of Mouse, then bought the Shepard VI from him. Then she kicked the crap out of Elias Kelham, and told him to "I've had enough of your sh*t. Start talking before I cut your balls off and sell them to a Krogan."

Then Nadia followed Thane's plan and stopped Kolyat, but she shot Talid. Then we went back to the Normandy and she locked in the romance with Thane.

 

Then we went to Illium and Miranda took care of Niket. I mean at least Shepard is being consistent, right? "Why, Niket? Why did you do it?" - remember Miranda. A bullet in the head solves everything. - I know that now.

 

Jack and Miranda learned the same lesson. Why can't they get along? Keep a deck apart at all times! Save your anger for the Collectors!

 

And then Nadia recruited Tali.

Today, while the reaper-controlled geth were still in disarray after losing the dreadnought, shep and squad zipped down to Rannoch and rescued Admiral Koris. Let James deactivate the AA guns, while Javik and shep covered him. Good thing our rifles didn't need ammo, because James sure took his sweet time about it. Enjoyed giving shep's drones and turrets a workout against the geth who attacked us. Didn't even get on the geth turrets to take out those last two waves while James puttered around with the AA guns. Too bad the auto-explode thing doesn't happen in ME3 when you hit a geth pyro with an overload. Damn shields anyway.  

 

Next, Garrus, Kaidan and shep accompanied Legion to a secret geth server controlling some fighter squadrons. shep had to solo this one -- errr, if you don't count the (approximately) billions of geth all around him, and Legion. Was good to learn what really happened between the geth and quarians at the start of this whole mess, if the geth are to be believed, that is. Wonder if all that infected code shep zapped counts as killing a reaper? Probably not. 

 

After all that, it turns out the reaper-aligned geth were still upset about losing the dreadnought, so we had time to take care of a few other high-priority missions. shep was glad he couldn't see how shocked the quarians were when he told Joker to plot a course through the relay, and he knew that even though Tali didn't question or object to his decision to seemingly abandon Rannoch, she would make him pay for it later. *sigh*

 

Next, Tali, Liara and shep went to a joint turian/asari fuel reactor that was under reaper attack. After meeting captain Riley and figuring out a plan of action, the three of us were on our own. After noting how quiet it was, Liara said something about shep taking them to such lovely places. Tali just sniffed and said nothing. shep was definitely going to pay later. We killed some reapers and saved Riley's team. Wish we could recruit her. 

 

Then it was time for EDI, Tali and shep to investigate an ardat-yakshi monastery. Caught up with Samara there and helped save her last daughter. Falere is kinda hot, reminds me of Tevos  Wish we could recruit- ... no, nevermind, shep's in hot water with Tali as it is. 

 

Next up, saving some ex-Cerberus scientists on the run from their former employer, then maybe Omega. Think I'll wait until after Rannoch is over to do Leviathan. Tali's mad enough already.

Monica Shepard has been busy today

 

Went to Eden Prime and again fought Larry, Curly , Moe and the rest of the clowns. Uncovered a real live Prothean named Javik. I like the guy. It will be fun having him on missions.

 

Took Liara and Ashley to a monastery and saw Samara. We helped locate her daughter and found the reapers turning the Asari into a bunch of screaming teenagers. Killed them. Blew up the great hall. Stop Samara from spilling her brains on the ground.

 

Met Jacob and helped get all the families and ex-Cerberus scientists to safety. Of course had to fight more clones of Larry, Curly and Moe idiots.

 

Went back to the Citadel and talked with T'soni, Samara, Jacob, Javik, Miranda and for a third time, with Steve. He will now stay alive. Cool. Talked and danced with Jack. I really need some dance lessons. I met Ashley at the memorial to pay my respects for the loss of her sisters husband.

 

Zaeed helped in dealing with the Volus ambassador Korlack.  Too bad he can't be with me on the ship.

 

Now I will go meet with the Quarians.

Not that I'm making up for lost time or anything but this evening, I flirted outrageously with Kaidan and then headed over to the Maroon Sea to see what Exogeni had been sending there. And, of course, to find any other fun stuff I could get into. I started by boarding a creepy freighter full of husks and wiping those blue sparkly guys out. Oh and then I landed on a planet with all these monkey like creatures to try and retrieve some satellite data. I only ran over a few of them while looking for that d*** disk.

Then I went to a different system and found all these Thorian creepers and very few humans. Apparently some Exogeni scientists had been experimenting on creepers when the creepers suddenly freaked out. Some of the remaining Exogeni scientist tried to bribe me so I killed them. I think it was on this planet (Nodacrux, maybe) that there were these deer-like creatures with T-Rex arms that you supposedly can talk to. Does anyone know how to get them to respond to you? I tried shooting one this time but they still ignore me.

Then I went to the Matano system and found a planet full of husks, which I dealt with. Apparently, a group called Cerberus is to blame. I wonder if we'll hear anymore about them in the future? My go-to team this time seems like it will be Wrex and Garrus. Not much biotics but a lot of tech and combat ability.

Note: I just realized that when I 1st talked to the 2nd in command at Zhu's Hope she said something to the effect of "took you long enough" even though this time I went directly from the Citadel to Feros, without even doing any side missions. I've not done Feros that quickly before so I just assumed she only said that because I had done several missions before arriving there.
