My friend's Dany Shepard kicked some ass!

She had a few hours free today so the afternoon involved a lot of driving and killing.

 

Fifth Visit

-Reached 34 at the end of it

-Completed Bring Down the Sky, Garrus and Wrex's sidemissions, at least one or two more

-Paragon and Renegade are nearly equal now, with Paragon still very slightly ahead; Charm and Intimidate are near max anyway

-She ended up going after Balak, allowing the hostages to die, but instead of killing him, she placed him in Alliance custody. She did this because she isn't there to outright murder those directly threatening her life or mission, but he had to be stopped regardless, and not just let go. It was one of the first really tough choices for her. I had to tell her the trilogy consequences before she even decided (our playthrough is spoilerriffic, just as we both like it).

-Wrex is Wrex is Wrex is love, so of course we had to get his armor! Got lost on another UNC in the meantime.

-Dr. Heart was a dead man. No regrets.

-Tali will be joining on her pilgrimage-related mission, but I'm not sure about what else.

-Liara and Dany come closer together.

-Dany now understands why Ashley is guarded and suspicious of aliens, but I'm not sure she cares.

-Kaidan is boring.

-I think she still wants to romance Joker but that will have to take a back seat to what is happening.

 

Next up we will prioritize some sidemissions like Tali's and maybe Cerberus related stuff, and then Novaria if we have the time.

After/around that, we'll do Pinnacle Station and other UNC we come across.

 

A few more good visits should cover ME1 for us, August for sure at this rate.

 

Next update on this thread will probably be my Insanity NG+ playthrough again, where I just finished all initial Citadel stuff and I'm onto sidequests and Therum. My friend will visit again by some time next week.

Tomorrow Anhur will visit the Citadel first and can hopefully spend some cash cause he's hopeless overloaden on cash and nearing inventory limit. Then some cycling between plot worlds to see if I can get the req officer to restock for another set of Spectre X gear (the 4th). Then it's time to scour the galaxy to finish the last collection quest (and probably stumble on some new quests), then Virmire, Citadel, Ilos

Went to Menae, Palaven's moon, to get their Primarch for a summit. He's dead. Now I have Victus who wants the Krogan's help

 

Back on the Citadel , talk with Ashley.

 

Kasumi and myself help Jondum Bau

 

Go to Sur'kesh to get a female Krogan. Fought a group of somethings. They're like UFO's, I thought I saw something, just not sure what it was.

 

Save a bunch of students at Grissom Academy

 

Back on the Citadel again. Talked with Ashley, Miranda and Steve

 

Saved the rachni Queen

 

Sabotaged the genophage and kept Padok Wiks alive

 

Back to the Citadel again. Fight some group. Not sure what to call the dumb dumbs. Shoot Udina.

 

Ashley is happy to be back on the Normandy.

Finished the Thessia mission. Twice (note to self- make more saves).

Then mucked around with squad mates in the SilverSun Strip.

After that headed to Omega with Aria. Made it onto the station and disabled the defenses but got sleepy, .. will have to finish the invasion later.

What Tali doesn't know won't hurt me.

So the Quarians thought it would be a good idea to fight the garbage disposals. Why now? Alright. If I want their fleet, I will help them. Destroyed a lot of flashlights on the dreadnought and disable the signal. Ok. That's a start.

 

I couldn't save everyone. Koris took one for the team. He insisted I saved the crew. So i did.

 

Went back to the Citadel to talk with Miranda, Steve and Ashely.

Yeah you reapers are pathetic. Ha. Miss me again. Na na na na. Catch me if you can. What's wrong? Afraid Harbinger with laugh at you becasue you can't kill a girl? So now putting your ugly mug in my mug is gonna make it better. Here you go numbnuts. Eat sh*t and die. Boom boom boom. What? The thing is still alive? Wouldn't you know it but Garrus needed to go to the Kepler Verge to tie up some loose ends, so I had an excuse for going to Ontarom. Yee haw, time to find me a Shifty Space Cow. Thieving b******. Lots of money this go round so I decided that the SSC could keep what it took from me. However, all fun aside, I was appalled to find that I had left a man alive on Akuze. So I shot the scientist who had been involved with the experiments and saved Corporal Toombs. However, next time I must remember to check a little more closely before leaving the site of a massacre. Oh and Garrus shot Dr. Saleon. Good riddance! Then I wandered around a bit and found Wrex's family armor. He seemed happy (for a Krogan, hard to really tell) about it.

After that I roamed around the Hades Gamma cluster mainly killing lots of stuff. The "business partner" of Helena Blake - dead. The researchers who got transformed by an artifact - dead. The biotics who kidnapped that guy - mostly dead, although I did manage to talk the head guy into surrendering and the Chairman survived. Then I wandered over to the Gemini Sigma cluster to kill off the other "business partner." And then I killed the one biotic who was just trying to keep the brain dead guy alive. I wish there was a way to talk to her instead of just killing her. Oh well.

Then I made it to the moon to take out the out-of-control VI who will eventually become a crew member. That was fun since I took out most of the outside defenses on foot for the extra XP. I'm up to level 57 now and accumulating renegade points fairly quickly. This run for Claire Shepard is much more true to her Earthborn, Sole survivor past than her 1st run was. I'll change my Paragon run to my Spacer, War Hero instead. Now off to the Citadel to see what's happening there.

Another glorious day in the life of Gonder Shepard on the Silversun Strip. Let's see here... Ah, eventually managed to break the high score board (literally) for the Armax Arsenal Arena (take that Barla Von, you massive hacker), took a hike over to Castle Arcade and smashed Aria's score at Shattered Eezo, was my second attempt, managed to get to the second place on my first. I then proceeded to do the same thing in a one on one match against Jacob, fun times, though I kind of feel sorry for making him look bad in front of the 'kids' he was caring for. Next, I took another go at Relay Defence; managed to crack second place on the board this time, though was better than my first attempt, which didn't go quite so well. Ducked upstairs and dominated the Claw Game, claimed every prize I possibly could, and then called it a day at the Arcade.

 

Headed back up to the apartment and tried out the new music tracks I'd have earned from the Claw Game, good to have some variation. Invited Liara up to the apartment, got to learn that new piano verse she was going on about, and then let her finish up whatever work she had before she set off. I was about to call in Kaidan, but I got a message, from C-Sec? Grunt, figures. Sorted that whole issue out, with a whole lot of laughs in-between. Ah, Grunt, where would we be without you...   So, I proceeded to watching Kaidan cook something up after inviting him up, insulting his skill in it along the way, (I'm innocent, I swear. Blame the auto dialogue), though turns out he really was a better cook than most would believe. 

 

After some laughs with Traynor, who came along and conquered the spa, I got to sit down and watch the Fleet and Flotilla with Tali, where I eventually had an entire verse from the movie sung to me from her very lips. I'll admit though, Tali singing? That alone made me blush.   I decided to turbo charge them feels by holding Thane's memorial. Rest in peace, Thane: an assassin, a hero, though most importantly, a friend. It was also fortunate that his video recordings reached me. I then topped the day off by distracting myself by speaking with Samara by the windows. As she said, not quite the same effect as a galaxy of stars, but it can make one sentimental. 

 

Well, I would call that a reasonable day in the franchise. Heck, probably a lot less then I'd normally get done, but alas, I was hit by sleepiness, it was late, and I had a bit of a schedule the next day. Eager to see what the next day in the trilogy awaits me.

went to Thessia and found a Prothean VI. Fought someone who's afraid to show his eyes and he took the VI.

 

On Sanctuary, found out the refugees were turned into husks. Watch Miranda kill her daddy.

 

On Chronos fought the same group and for some reason I can't remember the name. Killed the eye coverer

 

Since I brought Ashley back on the Normandy, I've used her and edi the whole time. Never did that before. The only time was Chronos. It would've been nice if Ashley mentioned to Shepard that its the same robot that seriously injured her on Mars. I will use the pair when I go to Earth.

Time to head for Ilos and deal with Saren.

Today, John Shepard, The war hero from Mindoir, was present aboard the shakedown run of the new alliance ship Normandy, everything seemed to be in order.  Naturally, things then went horribly wrong.  A spectre killed another spectre, Jenkins went Leeroy on him (and not a single chicken was to be had), and the Geth are back after 300 years of isolation.  Being the hero that he is, Shepard saved the colony and encountered a beacon where he got a vision.  The council took some convincing, but with the help of a Krogan, Turian, and Quarian, Shepard convinced the council to strip Saren of his Spectre status.  As an added bonus, he became the first human Spectre and was ordered to take down Saren personally.  Now all he needs is a ship...

 

As an aside, this is my first Mass Effect play through in over two years.  In that time I had forgotten how awesome the first game was, and despite the cover mechanics being a pain, the combat is still really fun.  Also, I never knew how many early game upgrades you could get by maxing charm/intimidate on Eden Prime and talking to the colonists.

Finished Kasumi's missions in ME2 for the first time. Kinda funny that Bioware's asian characters got more and more stereotypical as the series went on. Overall the dlc was ok. I've got a femshep and the convenient camera angles during the intro were pathetically amateurish, Hock's voice actor was horrifying, and the final boss battle was incredibly frustrating. I'm playing as an adept for the first time in ME2 and the weaknesses of ME2's gameplay really shined in the fight. The SMG is a very welcome upgrade from the shuriken, the party wear is nice, and Kasumi is an interesting enough character.
