Nadia did a took a side trip to investigate a Cerberus lab for Hackett where they were studying reaper tech. There were two samples there, and Cerberus troops showed up in force. Garrus and Javik were with me as we dismantled the troops and took the tech back to the Alliance.

Then it was off to investigate what happened to the Krogan scouts Wrex sent to check on the rachni relay. I ran into Grunt. Grunt. He's gotten bigger. I didn't think it was possible. Javik said the Krogan had been careless and overconfident. He was right. We went into the cavern and found reaper tech all over the place. When we finally found the central chamber, Javik commented that this wasn't a rachni nest. So the queen started talking and explained that she'd been imprisoned by the reapers. That she hates the reapers, and they cannot control her, and she'll fight for us. So I let her go free. Grunt held the line. I thought he gave his life. (With good writing he should have - IMO this should have been a choice.) "Shepard, got something to eat?"

But the feeling of being at war is so much stronger in ironman. One screw up and you lose a man or two.. forever.

I know, I know. My x-com memorial wall gets plenty of additions as it is.

Cruella Shepard was on her way to Menae when she looked at her war assets and was surprised something was missing from ME2. So, she went back in time, before the suicide mission to fix the problem. Got it fixed. Replayed the suicide mission and arrival. Now she's ready to start ME3, again.

It had something to do with my mineral resources.  The only way for me to know if its fixed is when I check my war assets after the first dream. Too bad you can't check your war assets earlier in the game.

Anhur listened to one of the classic artists of the 21st century while browsing through today's pics:

Javik... dude... you've been asleep for the past 50,000 years.

Anhur's getting ready to head back to the Citadel, but not to continue the hunt for Leviathan straight away. He got a message from Jack. They're going on a date.. to the Armax Arsenal Arena. Wonderful :D there will also be some downtime to invite people over for some chilling out at Anhur's appartment.

Does anybody know where to score some weed on the Citadel?

The council really starts to hate me, I spoke with a news reporter in the Citadel, can't remember her name, but it sounded really weird...

I saved an Asari scientist who's only a 106 years old, she doesn't stop talking

I found a colony overrun by the vomiting plant-controlled freaks, purged the colony

I searched my crew, found them behind a closed door

Solved a dispute between a pregnant girl and her step brother about the unborn child

Had a chat with a volus who sells info, if the price is right of course...

Solved a dispute between an Asari Consort, an Elcor diplomat and a Turian General

Next destination: Noveria

Well Omega was...interesting. First problem was when I continued my personal quest to have a drink (or 3) at every bar I can find. I'm not sure how I missed the lower bar at Half-Life on our 1st trip here but I did so I wanted to rectify the situation. That was a mistake. I woke up on the floor of the hall after having one (1, really only 1) drink. Not really the sophisticated woman of the world impression I was going for with Thane there. However, it wasn't my fault. Apparently the bartender doesn't like humans and basically poisons any who ask him for a drink. I guess I have to thank Cerberus for my survival in this case. Ugh. I challenged the bartender and he basically laughed in my face so I told everyone in the bar what he was doing. And then some Turian shot him. I just wanted him to stop serving humans poisoned drinks. Oh well.

After that we went after the insane, power mad Asari. I got to act as bait by coming on to her so that she would invite me back to her apartment where Samara would take care of her. That part all worked fine but it was really awkward hitting on someone in front of my boyfriend. He said he understood but I'm pretty sure he didn't like leaving the take down to Samara and me. All kidding aside, I can't even imagine how hard it was for Samara to kill one of her daughters. She was pretty shook up but did what she had to do.

Speaking of doing what they had to do, we brought Tali back to the Migrant Fleet to face treason charges. Thane and I went with her. It turns out that in researching the Geth, Tali's father managed to let a bunch of them loose to rampage through his ship. We cleaned out the Geth but found Tali's father's body. And the evidence that would have cleared Tali would also have condemned her father. After a bit of soul-searching, I decided not to give the evidence to the judges in the trial but instead to defend Tali using, basically, smoke and mirrors. It worked and Tali is back on the Normandy in the good graces of her people. I tried to talk the Quarians out of their obvious desire to start a war with the Geth at the same time that the Reapers are threatening. I don't think I got very far though. Sigh.

After 2 fairly traumatic missions I figured I'd do something lighter like kill the rest of those Blue Suns' mercs. However, we ran into a situation with some Batarian terrorists who were aiming 2 missiles at a colony. We were only able to stop one of the missiles so we saved the people instead of the property. After that we headed over to the Blue Suns' base where they were luring freighters in with a false distress beacon. Thane, Grunt and I made short work of them and cut the beacon off. Next on my to-do list is to help Zaeed with that mission he talked about when I first recruited him. Man that seems like months ago.

Cruella Shepard is starting to get very frustrated with this mineral resources crap. She now went back into ME2 before the suicide mission a third time to see what the blank is going on. This will be last try she will do this. There won't be a next time.

Jamie Shepard,

Earth

vlcsnap_2014_08_27_01h00m51s44.png

Got off Earth. Anderson stayed behind. Apparently to oversee some resistance movement. Absolutely nothing to do with him not being able to make the jump to the Normandy. Honest.

Mars

vlcsnap_2014_08_27_01h07m19s169.png

Found Liara, retrieved the Prothean data, and had a chat with TIM. He seems angry with me for some reason. Not sure why. 100% loyal in ME2 and gave him the Collector base too. Awkward.....

Eden Prime

vlcsnap_2014_08_27_01h11m05s124.png

Hooked up with Prophy the Prothean Popsicle, once he'd thawed out. Very grouchy, clearly not a morning person.

Palaven

vlcsnap_2014_08_27_01h12m26s158.png

Found Garrus - we managed to convince Victus to come with us thanks to some quality finger-pointing by G. Dawg.

Grissom Academy

vlcsnap_2014_08_27_02h08m27s236.png

Found Jack. Got slugged by Jack. Saved Jack's ass. Again.

Also mopped up Sanders, David and a bunch of bio-brats. Win.  B)

Just saved the galaxy with my paragon vanguard Shepard. Destroyed the reapers and survived to tell the tale. Has hope that we can rebuild all the synthetics that were lost.

Edit: It was my first insanity run! Yayy

Cool. Why not do another insanity run? Maybe playing a different class?

@themikefest idk maybe. Well my Shepard has always been a Vanguard since the first game it weird seeing him as something else. The reason I chose that class is because I wanted to be a fully offensive awesome biotic god with combat prowess. I always wanted to be an Adept maybe so I could be a complete biotic badass lol. What's your favorite class and what does it feel like switch classes after playing the entire trilogy with one class?

I've been doing a lot of what feels like housecleaning lately. I'm trying to stockpile as many mineral resources as I can before we go through the Omega-4 relay. I'm also shopping everywhere I can think of to try and come up with every possible upgrade. Tell you the truth it's necessary but boring. I've been to both the Citadel and Tuchanka recently. At least I got to see my favorite varren while I was on Tuchanka. I feel that time is getting short.

But at least Thane and I got to blast some more Blue Suns trying out help out Zaeed. Although Zaeed did try my patience quite a bit. He so wanted to kill his old partner (and how was it he never mentioned that he FOUNDED the Blue Suns) that he nearly blew up a refinery with all the workers still in it. I put a stop to that at once and got the fire under control so the workers could escape. Unfortunately, Zaeed's partner did escape and he was really, really unhappy about it. We had words but I eventually convinced him that we needed to work as a team to stop the Collectors. I think (well, more like hope) he's got his head out of his a** now. He's a great fighter but I can't have him running off doing his own thing at a critical moment. Hopefully he's learned his lesson.

Before I go through the Omega-4 relay, I want to investigate the reaper artifacts Hackett's "friend" has discovered. If it turns out to be something, I want to take care of it now just in case we don't make it back. So I'm heading there next. Hopefully it's nothing and I can get back to dealing with the Collector's pretty quick.

Try playing as an engineer. For me, its the class that has the most fun with. With a combat drone and sentry turret, its like having 2 extra squadmates fighting at your side.

Insanity isn't that bad. I've done over 10 playthroughs on insanity mode playing all classes except Sentinel.

My favorite is soldier because I was a soldier when I was in the Army. Switching classes isn't bad, just have to get use to the powers that class has to offer.

I'm having a totally different experience in my current ME2 run. Doing the minimum to advance the plot far enough to pick up Legion has got me zipping right through this game. Gives everything a greater sense of urgency in a way -- like, what do you mean the turians disabled a collector ship? Already? I haven't been to the citadel yet!

Had what started out to be a decent conversation with Ash on Horizon. By always picking the neutral dialogue options, it was awhile before things took a boneheaded turn. Shep wished her well and they parted. Remained to be seen whether they're still friends, but it could have been worse.

After that the crew went to Ilium and recruited Samara. Shep was quite taken with her, and on their first date they went Hovercraft shopping - the hell? But shep wasn't about to contradict a thousand year old asari samurai... Who was kinda hot. So if she wanted a hovercraft, who was shep to argue? It's not like they were spending credits on improving the Normandy or anything.

Mental Note: have EDI find all the old back issues of Justicar Heroes.

They took their new 'craft planet-hopping for a while, and it didn't take long for shep to wish she'd paid the extra creds for the undercoating.

Back on the ship, TIM phoned and told them all to get back to work, dammit. The turians disabled a collector ship and maybe the could find out how to get through the Omega-4 relay.

Shep was intrigued. She couldn't wait to see how the birds managed to pull this off...
