If he survives he saves the council
And if he dies, well I don't know, no one ever died on my suicide mission

Two?
Oh wait, nevermind.
I thought if Kirrahe was already dead, someone took his place during the coup attempt, but I was wrong. Not the first time, heh.
Kirahhe is replaced on Sur'kesh, but not in the Citadel arc ![]()
All this talk of having people die in the SM reminds me how terrible the default settings are on ME3.
My initial play-through on the trilogy was on the 360. I lost my ME2 saves when I had to change consoles so my first run on ME3 was with the vanilla default settings. I found it fairly soulless. I can't remember the full list of who doesn't survive the SM in default but it seemed to be more of them than those that did. Oh I remember Miranda survives, but then later dies.... ![]()
Often wonder, for the people who played the original game, with default, sans Extended Cut or Ashes to Ashes, that can't have seemed like a great game....?!
Default run is of course super shitty, so it makes people wanna get ME1 and 2.

So I was kinda right. ![]()

I was going to make this playthrough a default game of ME2... until I found out Conrad isn't around. That was enough to p*ss me off.
So I was kinda right.
Except that Tolan is the understudy of Kirahhe, not of Thane ![]()

Problem there though is that people new to the franchise wouldn't know the difference. Contrary to protestations by BW, ME3 most definitely is NOT a great place to board the franchise.
Incidentally, curiosity got the better of me and I tried Genesis II a few days ago - bizarrely it lets me choose whether or not to go straight after the Collectors once they've abducted the Normandy crew, but then doesn't let me pick and choose who does what missions when onboard the Collector base. Hence, I can have a big say in whether Normandy's crew is decimated, but seemingly none on who gets to survive the SM. A quick look in Gibbed at the first save file after that and it looks like about half of them buy a one-way ticket to deadsville.

Again, so you have to buy ME1 and ME2 ![]()
Getting all the good stuff is a reward for playing the entire trilogy.

Amen to that! ![]()
I just found it amusing at some of the things you could choose in Genesis II, and things that you couldn't. I mean, screw Thane, let him die, but damn I need to have a conversation with Kaidan on Horizon so that he doesn't carry a grudge into ME3.....Oh...... ![]()

If Shepard were to come back for another game, would Bioware use a default ME3 playthrough to import? They might since they won't have to worry about any of the ME2 characters in the next game.
I'm sure the Mass Effect team is keeping a close eye on the DA Keep to see how well it works and use a ME Keep version for future ME games.
I've finally come around to the conclusion that they should just let the OT lay as it is, warts and all. It is what it is at this point, for better and worse.
The battle raged on Earth. The Alliance was putting up a fight, but the reapers had the upper hand. Commander Shepard had traveled to the Citadel, to gather reinforcements. He believed sleazy, incompetent mercenaries would help turn the tide. Although he had killed scores of them with ease in 2185, they were now, apparently an elite fighting force. Rumor had it that Aria T'Loak was on the Citadel, in a bar called Purgatory. If anyone could rally a bunch of inept guns-for-hire, it was her.
Shepard arrived at Purgatory. He needed to find Aria. But first...
Aria gave him a list of hoops to jump through, before she could offer assistance. He spit a cheesy one-liner about getting out of her hair, because he's just so goddamn clever.
Shepard figured he'd begin with the Eclipse, since he could pretty much ask Bailey's crooked ass for anything and he'd do it without too many questions. But there was one more thing he had to do before he got started...
I think I just deleted like over 20 coalesced files of ME3's. Don't worry, I always have spares. Now, I have to do a long process that I only did once. *sigh* I don't want to do it. :S
Wait a minute. Why do I feel like I know this place?
Oh crap! I'm really gonna need someone to teach me these aerial biotic ninja moves.
Hello boys!
Fire + Dark Energy = The Best ![]()
Grab my pull, I'll save you!
Turns out that salarians fly much faster than my pull.
Oh well, back to work bringing in the pain.
Hostage: Ow, my arm!
Shepard: Stupid hostage. That shot didn't even hit you.
Wannabe spectres get sent into a blackhole.
I bet that hurt.
You can fall in line, you can stand aside, or get crushed beneath my boot.
My, you're tall.
Liara: I can see stars... hihi..
Shepard: Liara... ehm, nevermind..
Darn it, didn't expect epic shield tactics.
Kneel before Shepard, the Vanguard of your Destruction.
I'm in the middle of only my 2nd ME2 run and both of them have been with Paragon Shepards so I gathered up and protected everybody I could find. Although I didn't realize until recently that I mainly got lucky/selected wisely to have all of the team survive the SM on my 1st play through. I also have completionist tendencies so I tend to seek out everything, especially since I'm still finding new content that I didn't see the first time or new dialogue because I'm bringing different people or selecting different options.
I have a Renegade (all human council) Shepard waiting in the wings and I expect some different results when she goes. Although she had a tendency to be fairly paragon to her crew so it may not be as different as I initially think it will. However, I'm also planning to run a truly ruthlessly pragmatic Shepard sometime soon and I'll just say themikefest and others have given me some great ideas for that run. ![]()
But at heart I'm a softie so I expect most of my runs will involve doing the right thing (including saving teammates where I can) more often than not. ![]()
Cruella Shepard will not be saving the galaxy in ME3 since she ran into a problem that can only be fixed in ME1. She told me about her sister which I will introduce when I start ME1. Cruella is now back with her Lord and Master, Satan, to help rule over He**
We stopped the Cerby/Turian bomb...
Centurion: OK, guys. Toby and Ted take the left side. Parker and Tim you go..
Trooper Parker: Uhm, sir. There's something happening down below.
Pilot: Funny, my radar seems to be saying that we are being targeted by missiles. How could anyone...
Centurion: OH CRAP. PULL UP! PULL THE DAMNED SHUTTLE UP!!!
Garrus: Haha! That is sooo overkill

Please tell me that with a name like that she's renegade? ![]()
My renegade play throughs tend to end in the same way - refuse ending. Not interested in saving the galaxy, just myself. Happy enough for the Reapers to expend time and energy wiping out the rest of galactic civilization while I take the Normandy, and crew, and find a quiet, dark corner somewhere to live out the rest of our days. Hey, it works for the Leviathan! Let's all make like Spongebob Squarepants and go live under the sea! ![]()

Oh yeah she was renegade with a lot of evil. She snorted dope and drank booze heavily. She was also into devil worship.
I never picked refuse. I got to a point in the game that I couldn't fix because of what I didn't do in ME1. So, I will start a new triolgy run to fix the problem with a new character.

Refuse is ok. You get to shoot Space Casper in the face, which is always good. Plus, whilst it's a short-term defeat, it's a long-term win thanks to Liara's info-capsules.
For true evilness though, my most renegade Shepard opts for control. Evil Shepard with an invincible war fleet at his disposal can only end in good ways.... ![]()
That's just as bad. The understudy gets an understudy and Garrus gets none.Except that Tolan is the understudy of Kirahhe, not of Thane
