I didn't receive a bonus because I brought Garrus, I thought it would be calibrated faster if I brought Garrus
It takes almost the entire game for Garrus to calibrate the Normandy's guns. Not letting him anywhere near the giant laser shows good judgement on shep's part

Currently playing a story only run of ME1 with my Sentinel Femshep to get her to level 55+ before starting a full, proper playthrough.
I rushed through Eden Prime, the Citadel and most of Therum so that I could get to the laser glitch area asap. I then proceeded to browse the internet whilst levelling up my Femshep to level 45 for the best part of 2 hours, then I finished up the rest of the mission, and now I can carry on with the rest of the main story.
I meant to do something.. hmm.. it's not that late..

Good to see the guy. And in charge of the group. Nice. He mentions the possibility of Rachni in the area. I tell him that I'm here about some missing scouts, but if Rachni are present, then the situation changes. Lets get the show on the road. With Garrus, James and I, we head into tunnels to find what's going on. Yep. I see a giant c**kroach. So they want to play rough. I can play rough. We lay down some roach motels and wait for the buggers to enter. Nice. All dead. I guess they didn't pay for their rooms. Hahahaha.
Wait a minute. I thought I set you free on Noveria? The reaper sang a song you like and bam. Gotcha. Ok. She is set free a second time. Grunt leads us out and decides to kill some roaches. Damn Grunt, you look like sh*t. We get him patched up.
Traynor tells me she studied the Rachni and about their ability to talk through dead or dying members of other species. I'm sorry Traynor, but I'm having a hard time listening to you talk. I need to take another cold shower. Of all the times to have a war. I bet this doesn't happen to the other guy.
We meet up with other clans on Tuchanka to make a push to the Shroud which is guarded by a reaper. Nothing is ever easy. In my next life, I'll just become a warehouse worker where I can just work 9-5 and go home and have a regular life. Snap out of it Michelle. Lets get this reaper. To do that, I have to activate the two hammers. Shouldn't be to hard. Did it. Lets clear the area people.

Wreav has promised troops for Palaven and Victus has his ships ready to help with my Crucible. Should change the name to Shrink ray. I head up to my cabin for some rest. I have another dream. This one isn't bad. I'm in my bathing suit by the beach, drinking a Pina Colada listening to some Meatloaf. Nice.
Now we head back to the Citadel to talk with the Salarian Councilor

That's right! Everyone wants over sized crabs for Lunch! Not even a Threshermaw could resist the temptation. After picking Destroy, everyone can have a bite to eat from the roasted Reapers.
That's why I play ME1 on casual. It makes it easier. It's not like I really need the challenge. I already have the insanity achievement on the 360.
So on to Nadia....
I went to Lesuss to check out the important mission the Asari Councilor asked about and discovered it was an Ardat Yakshi monastery. I ran into Samara. She was glad to see me. We rescued one of her daughters, and I prevented her from committing suicide. Later I met her on the Citadel and we talked for a while. I was a bit surprised that she didn't want to kill me, but she was quite glad to see me again.
Then I went back to Rannoch and had a conversation with Not Legion, Raan and Tali. Not Legion admitted to still having connections to "the old machines" and started talking about wanting to upload the reaper code to all Geth. I told him that Geth are machines, not people. He balked. I told him if he didn't like it the airlock was "that way." Then we discussed the fighter base and he had me enter the Geth consensus. Now talk about a bunch of propaganda. The quarians were wearing suits. He said it was because of the way I saw quarians, yet why wouldn't he show the real deal? And he showed things that taken out of context would make the Quarians look like monsters even though the Geth were the ones who slaughtered billions. He made it look like "they let them go." And the "creators were have been at war with them for 291 years." Well, the geth shot at anything that approached Rannoch. I seriously doubt they'd accept a Quarian peace envoy and let the Quarians move back to Rannoch peacefully. Peace seems like the status quo except they don't shoot at each other. I couldn't wait to get out of there.
Then when I did he sprung this other thing on me. First it was the Turians not wanting to fight unless I got the Krogan; then I had to save the Salarian for the Salarians to commit; then I had to save the Council again for the Asari to finally step up to the plate; and now the Geth are willing to step up to the plate if I sell out the Quarians? I'm sick of this bullsh*t. Why should I suddenly trust the Geth?

After helping out all the new team mates with their problems decided to celebrate with another open bar night. Everyone was happy and smiling (even Miranda). Actually I'm pretty sure Kasumi and Jack are growing hydroponic pot in the cargo bay. Damn hippies! Why can't they just drink like normal people. I saw Grunt pigging out in the galley and I'm not sure if he had the munchies or that's just him being, .. well, him.
After that epic binge, we somehow ended up in Batarian space. (I think I'll have to cut Jokers's tap off.) So, while I was there I thought I'd help out Admiral Hackett and rescue his girlfriend from being tortured in a Batarian prison. Didn't realise the Admiral liked 'em kinky.
But she is/was a feisty one. Too bad she was indoctrinated. After killing a bunch of minions I blew up a giant mech. Liara's right, watching mechs explode is a rush. Made it to the Comm tower, but before I got picked up ol' Harby turned up and did the old "death on your head" routine. Basically, I told him where to jam it. Then I flew off in my ultra-cool ship as the Relay exploded. Wow! That was cool. Watching it go on holo was like playing a video game!
After that I need some time off. So I'm heading to Ilium for a naughty weekend. What's the point of being a Spectre if you can't spend some of that budget. Right?
I've heard good things about The Azure. I'll have to take Liara ..
Time to help out my buddy Wrex and his people. So, Tuchanka, and more specifically, the Shroud facility;

We get back to the Citadel and learn The Mickey Mouse Club is trying to takeover the Citadel. Fine. Me, Garrus and James or as we are called THE VERMINATORS. I like that. Its got a certain ring to it. I should get that patent. All the royalty checks I would get. Lets stay focused. You can run mice, butr you can't hide. Hahaha. Die vermin, die. I see the Salarian Councilor. Who's this clown? Why is his hand pointed at her?
On crap. KIRRAHE. Damn. You will pay for that scumbag. There's something you don't see everyday. The clown sticks his sword in to the engine of my car. I guess my car insurance rate will go up. We crash and we.. What the heck is this crap? Girls dressed up in bondage clothing carrying sniper rifles. I guess people will do anything to get off. They're part of the mice and have to be killed. I help Officer Jordan Noles. Some Batarian named Balak, wants to kill me, but I cinvince him to help fight the reapers.
I see Felicia Hannigan who's happy that she's still alive. The mice club was looking for her. Fortunately she got a new identity
And there's my #1 fan. He is good looking, but my eye is on a certain specialist. I help with the medical dispensers. Did Conrad just save me? My hero. And who's this, Oh yeah. Its Jenna. Have fun guys.
Back on the ship I learn the clown's name that killed Kirrahe is Kai Leng. Hackett wants me to talk with the Quarians. Liara comes by to see if we can help some Asari Commando's. Really? Whatever. I'll check it out later.
It's been a busy few days - full of both glad reunions and heartbreak. Of course, I decided to follow my heart to the Citadel. Seeing Thane again was wonderful and sad at the same time. He seems to have given up. I tried to give him some reasons to keep going (and I enjoyed doing that immensely) but even then he keeps saying that we always knew what we had was going to have to end. I'm not ready for it to end. I tried again when I went back to the Citadel a little bit later but he won't be swayed. I don't think he wants me to see him in the hospital. But I don't care about that - I care about him. I'll try again the next time I'm on the Citadel.
I also saw Kaidan both times I was on the Citadel. He is doing much better. He keeps asking if we're OK after his behavior on Horizon and Mars. I'm not sure what to tell him so I basically say we're OK for now. He also wanted to know about Thane and me although I'm not sure where he could have heard about that. Probably from a nurse who saw us making out in the hospital's main area. 
I told him the truth. I don't think he was happy about that but oh well. I was happy to hear that he accepted the Spectre position that Udina offered him. But that will delay any chance that he will come back to the Normandy. Probably for the best right now.
Notwithstanding my efforts to get my personal life in order, I actually did do some stuff to try to stop, or at least slow down, the Reapers. First stop was to go help some students at Grissom Academy. Cerberus was apparently interested in them, which, these days, is seldom a good thing. One of the glad reunions mentioned above was Jack, who was an INSTRUCTOR at the Academy. She's like a mother bear with her students, which was pretty funny to see. And very bad for Cerberus. She's even trying to curb her language some what. I left her and her students on the Citadel, where they are preparing to head off and serve in support positions in the war.
After that I headed to the rendezvous point to pick up the Salarian and Krogan representatives. Wrex was the Krogan representative! But he refused to help anyone unless the genophage was cured. Not surprisingly the Dalatrass was not happy with that idea but I was on Wrex's side and so was Sparatus so she got outvoted. And that led to the third glad reunion - Mordin Solus. He and a female Krogan came with us as part of the research to cure the genophage. And if anyone can create a cure, it's Mordin. And I even got a little bit of singing from him! Of course, getting them on board was a little more complicated than it could have been because Cerberus also seemed to want to get their hands on the Krogan female. I'm getting really tired of running into them pretty much everywhere I go. Eve, the female Krogan, is really quite interesting and gives me hope that the Krogan won't go completely berserk once the genophage is cured and the Reapers are destroyed. (Aren't I being the optimist today?)
Hmmm... what other things of note occurred in the last few days. Oh yeah, Liara met her father, who I had met awhile back on Illium. They talked for a long time. I kept wandering around but every time I came back they were talking about something new. Interesting facts I learned - Liara is 1/4 Krogan and she has a half sister who is 1/4 Krogan and 1/2 Hanar. I know it "doesn't work like that" but I still really want to meet her. I'm sure there were some other things but I've gone on long enough for now.
And we must be doing something right, because galactic readiness soared over the last few days. I guess people are finally starting to get their act together after the initial shock of the Reaper invasion.
