I finished this morning Omega as an Engineer. Not a class I like to be honest but I did it solely to see my Shepard rerouteing the power at the reactor so easily.
Don't know if I'll carry on with the character to be honest. I don't usually play Omega as I find it a bit dull. not a fan of the combat or Aria so hit doesn't hit the mark for me at all. That's kind of soured this Shepard for me.
What did you do today in the Mass Effect trilogy

I shot Tali with this, and now she's running a fever and off to a turian clerk who despises quarians.

I like the class. A lot of fun. With the combat drone and sentry turret, its like having 2 extra squadmates fighting on your side.
I agree about Omega. Didn't like it and its overpriced.

Got my Razer Sabretooth in the mail. (basically an XBOX controller with extra buttons and better grip)
Now I have the controller I want for the computer I don't have yet for the game that hasn't been released yet.

You can kill time by calibrating the controller ![]()

calibrating?
Remember that phrase from back in the days? 'Plug-n-play'? Well, this thing makes up for it.

Shepard, that is a game.
Yeah, but it is really important for the crews morale ![]()

You got that right, heh.

Yes. Good thing I have all the DLC backed up... well, the SP DLC anyway, have to re-download the MP DLCs since I downloaded them after making my backups and then forgot to add them to the folder. D'OH.

To be fair, that's a lot of War Asssets between the systems available for exploration and for taking a break.
Chin up Shep! You can still get some work done. I don't look forward to you finding out how stupid the galaxy is...again.
Forgot to mention: Yesterday, I actually did the 183 pull ups to beat Vega's record (where you alternate between renegade and paragon interrupts) hoping that some sort of achievement would come out of it. No achievement apparently, though I can say I beat Vega's pull-up record. While I was wearing a dress. ![]()
I did get one achievement though. I finally got the Brawler achievement. You know, nothing like slicing the hell out of Phantoms and one-shotting them to make a gal feel pretty good. ![]()

I was so disappointed when literally nothing happened... then I realzied someone at BioWare must, to this day, be laughing his ass off for making that scene.

As do I. If nothing else, doing that scene in the dress (the one from the family photo up in one of my previous posts) was worth the giggles. His reaction to the punching bag after the "tattoo" conversation was kinda adorable. His general reaction that basically went "Oooh, shiny!" made me giggle really hard.

First time I played the citadel DLC, I missed James' discovery of the punching bag... dunno why I didn't hear him, but I ran straight out the door and on to the next meet-up, heh. I was kinda disappointed, thinking that's all there was.

It's even more fun when you try romancing him. Then watch Vega become all nervous when Shepard gets too close.
"What's the matter, Vega? You don't like what you see?" and that suggestive voice...mmm ![]()

I missed a ton of the post-clone Citadel DLC as well the first time around. I ended up missing Miranda's request to come by, so my first screenshot the "family photo" is missing her in it. This time I thought I did everything (checked all the mail, left the apartment a few times, did all the invites) and still missed the messages to meet-up with Kaidan and Jacob. I'll get it next time. <shrug>
Not like the game is going anywhere, and it isn't like this will be the final time I play it. I believe in getting my money's worth. If it's a good game, why beat it once when you can beat it a dozen times over a decade. ![]()

I missed Miranda first time too, playing the DLC before going to Sanctuary. When i finally get around to resuming this playthrough, I'm going to split up the DLC stuff; do the first half as soon as it's available, then spread out the shore leave stuff throughout the rest of the game.

Yeah, I should do that too. I keep doing the DLC right after Thessia, which is near the very end of the game. Next time, I'll start it after Rannoch (We killed a Reaper, drinks on me guys!) and then spread it out more throughout the game. Save the party for much later, after Thessia. I always picture the crew needing a break after that loss. And that dose of stupid. Seriously Kai Leng, did you try out as a villain for a Final Fantasy game and fail the audition?

I always miss at least half of the "extra" content the first time I play something
I didn't get a lot of the extra conversations and such my first run through

Same here, and I kinda kick myself every time. I suppose that's what I get for avoiding walkthroughs my first time around unless I'm really stuck. ![]()
Quick general question: Should I get the ME2 Overlord and ME3 Omega DLCs? I've heard some pretty good things about Overlord, but the reviews of Omega have been mixed. I'm not too worried about the cost so much as I am concerned about the quality. What would you guys recommend for future sessions?

I played Overlord for the first time when I moved to PC.
Its a solid DLC, I'd rank it above Arrival or Omega but below LotSB or Leviathan.
Omega largely boils down to two things, do you want more "shooty shooty pew pew Cerberus is tuh evulst" or not, and do you not particularly care for important decisions for the setting but instead on character development of one character? Because beyond that the rest of the DLC is entirely subjective, whether you like Aria and Nyreen or not, whether you want to go back to Omega, etc...

That's a good sign; I actually enjoyed Arrival quite a bit. That was one of those times where I didn't mind being the loser, because it was well done and actually made sense to the rest of the story. In the beginning of ME3 my first time, I didn't have Arrival. I always thought that Shep turned him/herself in because s/he was a Paragon that was working for Cerebus, or, conversely, s/he was a Renegade that was arrested/detained by Hackett to answer for working with a known terrorist group. While Arrival dismissed that bit of head canon, I actually thought the reality of the situation was much better than I imagined.
To add to the confusion: I was playing a War Hero Shep my first time, so you can imagine my puzzlement when the batarian showed up talking about a colony. At first I thought it was going to be a ME3 confrontation about my background. I did some digging and found out about the DLC that way.

Hmm, tough call. I'm not one of those that minded Cerberus' presence in ME3 (except the aforementioned FF reject), but it's not my favorite plot point. Aria is okay, and seeing a female turian would be neat (I did a little homework,) but I'm not sure if it's worth the 100 or so War Assets. I've got the EC and I do all the quests, so I don't need that.
Thanks for the heads up. ![]()

I liked Overlord for adding the character of David Archer. There are some good bits fighting the geth -- since we don't do a lot of that in ME2, it's kinda refreshing. Your squadmates don't have anything to say during cutscenes, which is... meh. And you spend some time in the Hammerhead, which, well... 'nuff said. But... the VR section is entertaining (well I found it to be).
Omega is all about Aria. So if you like Aria, then go for it, I say. If you don't like Aria... well the rest of the DLC probably doesn't make up for having to spend so much time with her, especially since you fight a lot of Cerberus mooks, and since we already do a lot of that in ME3, it's not anything special. You do get Adjutants, but they're of passing interest since we never see them again in the game. And you get Nyreen Kandros, an interesting member of the turian fairer sex. She represents a turian POV very well, I think. Oh how I wish she was a replacement squaddie if Garrus died in ME2. Then Omega would become one of the top DLCs in my book. I will say that no matter how you play shep in the rest of the game, Omega is the one place you can go full renegade and thoroughly enjoy it.

Update.
I got those Feeling-Like-An-Idiot blues. At some point in the past, I had copied all of the files from the Mass Effect 3/Biogame/CookedPCConsole in to the Biogame folder, and was trying to mod those instead of the files in the CookedPCConsole folder. Crap.
