Shep in a beret:

Spoiler

EDIT: I've also got the buff femshep tanktop mod installed -- It's inspired me to respec shep as a melee infiltrator, heh -- and I replaced the standard N7 helmet with a breather mask, so I can keep the beret on while doing the geth dreadnought mission, or the cyone fuel reactor, or any other one that automatically sticks a helmet on shep's head.

Here she is about to kick Vega's ass.

Took the afternoon off to get it on with my new pc.

Total startup time: 7 seconds. loool. And it's sooooooo silent, sooo ridiculously silent, it's almost creepy.

Now the shitty part starts: reinstalling my games.

Today I left the Citadel with one mission: Stop Saren before the Return of the Reapers!

Also, rescued Dr. T'Soni

Opening Log: Elissa's Diary.  Selecting archives...selecting file 0001-B, "Pre-Reaper War."  User authorization required.

Authorization accepted.  Handprint required.

Welcome back, Commander Shepard.

Year 2185

Dear Diary,

After being stationed for two months on the Normandy, I'm still in awe of this ship.  Turian and human design, with the best stealth capablities money can buy.  My cabin is tiny, but it's my own.  I'm back up in the stars, where I belong.  So far, this is a great crew.

Captain Anderson reminds me of some of the officers I served under during my N7 training: Tough, but fair.  Good to his men, but brooks no bullsh*t.  He has no trouble speaking his mind, even to his superior officers.  He's just careful to tread that line between professional and blunt.  I have been learning about from him.  Who knows, I might get to captain my own ship someday!

Tomorrow, we go and pick up a turian named Nihilis.  Scuttbutt says that he's a Spectre, and that he's coming to check out a member of the crew.  Some say it's going to be me.  Me, really?  The first human Spectre?  I'm just a solider, and one that got lucky at that.  Jenkins has been around longer than I and he's great in the combat sim.  His knowledge of strategy is amazing, and he's in good form.  I suspect it's going to be him.

Anyway, a turian.  Mom never let me go to near one when I was growing up.  "They're a strong and noble bunch, honey.  However, it wasn't very long ago that we were enemies.  They might not have much patience with human children."  I found it strange at the time, since Mom let me meet an asari.  Even met a salarian.    Now, knowing about The First Contact War, it makes more sense.

I read up some on the turian's history, and they are some of the most disciplined soliders I've ever heard about.  I'm just hoping for a chance to talk to Nihilis and maybe learn about more their military.   We're supposed to arrive at his location in about 24 Earth hours.

Ah, I suppose I've rambled on long enough.  It's time to get some sleep.  "Sleep while you can.  A good solider can't perform well when they are so tired they are acting drunk."  Thanks Mom.

Sorry for the double post, but the idea I'm going with is that Shep is reading over her old diary entries before she goes after Cerberus HQ.  The "handprint required" was a security feature she added after dealing with her clone.

5 more days until Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor

Guess I'll just have to beat this game before that:

So, over the last few weeks I've tried to play and managed to do two missions before waves of ennui washed over me and I couldn't even bear to quit normally, I alt-F4'd and played some Shadowrun Returns, Xenonauts and Metro Last Light instead. I think I may be cured.

I started another trilogy run. I want to see if I can kill more than what I did  in my "I'm Commander Shepard and you will die" playthrough. I also want to try to get a body count of how many can be killed by the time I get to the end of ME3.

This playthrough I will call , "Why should I let you live?" playthrough

Xenia Shepard - Earthborn/ruthless/engineer

I can't count Jenkins since Shepard has no control over his death. Too bad Manuel couldn't be killed instead of the "say goodnight Manuel" dialogue. I finished Eden Prime and seen the council. So now the killing begins. I will update later.

Mike, I've got my thoughts about the ending up in the "Which did you think of the endings" thread, if you're curious.

Why not? Tressfx runs perfectly fine on mine; I suspect psychoverve's new pc should not even break a sweat either.

Lol, it was just for fun. I find it amusing that people can just stare her hair with TressFX on for like 5 minutes. Is it really that amusing?

I play on a ps3 and found the hair in Tomb Raider very good. Wonder what the hair and hairstlyes will look like in the next ME game.

If I can have a beret without having to mod it in I'll be happy.

I think that DA:I is going to give us our first real indication of how the the hair and other CC features may look in ME:Next.  IIRC, EA games are all going onto DICE/Frostbite from now on.

That should be the canon dialogue for that scene.  Or at least an option.
