I got the Mod for turning the Defender armor into Ash's working and even got the stats tweaked as well as the helm removed. No headshot damage, but I plan on wearing it on the next Shepard. Still feels too weird to wear Ash's armor (or hair) when she's alive this time.

It's gonna get even more difficult once you reach the Rannoch Arc. Geth are known for their melee and stunlock. Get stunlocked in SP, and you're pretty much dead whereas MP, you can simply revive yourself. I'd say it's not impossible, but the geth primes, rocket troopers, and pyros will be your main threat. Take caution towards the insta-kill units, mainly Phantoms, you don't want to melee them since their own melee will stagger you out of your own heavy melee.

Primes are the toughest targets out there. The final fight on Rannoch is going to be hard! On saving the admiral mission I might get a hacked geth on a turret and enjoy the show
Sabotage works wonders on the geth ![]()
Phantoms are weak, cloak can get you behind them and you will be able to safely execute them ![]()
Also, just wait till I get to Kai Leng. Kicking his a** in his own style is great! ![]()

Works well as a solider too. Have a squad mate use high level or maxed overload to bring down their shields (I usually bring Garrus with me,) then pop Adrenaline Rush. Strafe around and stab the crap out of them. For fun, have squad cyro ammo equipped, and then stab their frozen body. Without their shields, they don't have crap for protection and they are really squishy.

I'm not particularly sure if Kai Leng can insta-kill, so I might want to take caution on that. Note that Phantoms receive 90% Damage Reduction when they dodge, and if they already melee'd something, it's wise not to approach them until a period amount of time has elapsed since the Phantom is primed for an insta-kill. Cloak doesn't make you immune to their detection. If you get too close, they will be drawn to you and considering that the Infiltrator's Heavy Melee is one of the slower Heavy Melees they could just pull you in for a kill. Mass Effect 3 has a footstep system where enemies can hear you if you're running even while cloaked.
How will you deal with Banshees? Banshees are much easier to understand than Phantoms are when they are dangerous and when they are not(they're still dangerous either way, but you have to learn their behavior of when they primed for sync-killing).

Phantoms don't freeze, they only chill. They're the only exception from this rule for health enemies.

Oh, for Kai Leng, I'm taking a krogan shotgun with me as one of my weapons, since he loves to try to get in my face. Wrex would be proud.

Huh, okay. Still, chilling them and slowing their butts down is fun. ![]()

Getting from behind is the key. On my test run they never grabbed me when I got behind their backs. When using heavy melee while running it teleports you to the target (short distances) and freezes the target in place. That teleport move is silent.I'm not particularly sure if Kai Leng can insta-kill, so I might want to take caution on that. By the time I unlock Banshees I should have Tech Vulnerability which greatly improves Infiltrator's heavy melee. RedCaesar has a video when he almost kills a Brute in one hit with it. Combined with cloak's bonus power evolution the character becomes much more powerful compared to the current setup. I hope to also have Sticky Grenades unlocked.

Phantoms are pathetic. When I melee them, they are stunned long enough for femshep to beat the crap out of them.

Back or front doesn't really matter as long as you hit them, 'cause it doesn't matter either way for them if they're gonna sync-kill you or not. And yes, Sabotage's Tech Vulnerability does dramatically increase an Engineer or an Infiltrator's Heavy Melee, probably because both Heavy Melees have an elemental attack to them, but they can't be set off by another power. All Heavy Melees do 25% less damage towards Armor besides the Adept's, whereas the Adept, receives a 1.5x multiplier against resistances besides Health.

Just arrived on the Citadel; started in the hospital and turned in a couple quests there. Then to the refugee docks, and gave Ash a peptalk so she'd say something nice to her newly-widowed little sister. As an aside, was she the sister who beat up her pushy boyfriend back in ME1? Cause she was kinda hot.
Uhh, anyway, then shep played round two of putting James in his place by calling him on his BS flirting while he got a tattoo. Then she bargained with Tactus for some military-grade medical supplies. Tried one last time to give Solik Vass his photos, but he's still not happy. Maybe shep can just out-wait him. He'll die of old age in what, twenty years at most? She can keep herself in fighting shape for that long, I'm sure.
Right about now Javik would be overjoyed to observe that, "the protheans fought the reapers for centuries in my cycle commandah. What is twenty years compared to that?" ...uhh, that is, he would say that if he wasn't already waiting up on the Presidium to try and ruin some other peoples' day. Ya know, if we had to play a prequel that was set in the prothean cycle, I wouldn't mind so much as long as I could play a prothean with that attitude.
Then I went to Purgatory, and gave an asari commando the lost volume of Combat (Not Dancing) For Dummies from the Library of Asha, and had a chat with EDI about her new relationship with Joker. Then I went to the Embassies so I can go to the spectre terminal, warn Miranda about Kai Leng, and set up Din Korlack's rescue. Looking forward to how that plays out without Zaeed. No spoils plz.
On the way to the spectre terminal I bumped into Samara, and we had a talk about Justicars and Reapers and her daugher, Falere. In ME2 I played the Samara romance content (such as it was) as far as I could, and I've stayed true to it as much as I can through ME3, and at the end of this conversation, I got a scene I've never seen before:

I still think, that ME1 was the best of all three.
