I've tried a lot of free recording programs. All of them sucked. Some destroyed FPS, some couldn't record high quality etc. Ended up using Mirillis Action! and love it. Much less strain on the FPS than Fraps, compressed video output, high quality, plethora of options

Totally not worth it. Shep beats the crap out of two mercs just in the nick of time, but you don't get to see her beat up the krogan, because the camera stays on the cowering-behind-a-plant Korlack the whole time. Boo! Then shep has to choose between the turian colony and the volus bombing fleet. Can't have both. Boo! Suffice to say, Zaeed lives from now on.

Anyway... Shep just had dinner with Joker interrupted by cat-6 mercs and broke the floor at the sushi place. Had to stop there for now though until later tonight.

I screwed up my ME2 playthrough. Thought I could do both Garrus and Thane's loyalty missions AND Legion's loyalty mission before the collector attack/Joker mission gets activated, since both Garrus and Thane's missions are on the Citadel and finishing the one doesn't return you to the Normandy (so I thought I could get a two-for-one). It didn't work, the collectors kidnapped the crew, and now I have to either do Legion's loyalty mission first at the cost of half the Normandy crew or do the final mission first and risk losing Legion before I can do his loyalty mission (which is important for resolving the Geth/Quarian conflict in ME3).

@q5tyhj Bring legion as a squad mate for everything but the proto reaper send Mordin to guard the crew on their way back. He should survive.

Woke up with bronchitis, and getting ready to call the doctor.  So I'll be playing a lot of ME3 today.  I'm not even sure where I left off at the moment.  In the middle of a N7 mission I think.

 

Gods I feel like crap.  Time to go shoot things.  

 

Edit: Figures.  My game keeps hanging when I try to go into the shuttle bay.  Good thing I made backups of my files.

I'm a Broncos fan.  

 

And after using the Origin repair tool for ME3, two of my DLC unauthorized themselves.  Including EC, which is weird because it's free.   So, I'm repairing that and Leviathan, which also decided it no longer wanted to authorize out of the flipping blue.  I'm hoping that I don't have to fight too hard to get my bloody game just working again.  I could live with vanilla'ing my game, but having the DLC I paid for legitimately get de-authorized is extremely annoying.  There's no "official" fix and I've been looking in several threads as well as across the net.  It's "just try this until something works."  <sigh>

 

Edit: Repairing the DLCs worked, but still...ugh.  No fun.

That's what I use and it decided not to work this time.

Still bitter about New England winning the Super Bowl because John Kasay kicked the ball out of bounds on the kickoff that gave the Patriots an extra 15 yards giving them a short field to work with that led to the game winning field goal

I'm alive! No thanks to those ******* Quarians who fired on the Geth dreadnought I was busy disabling for them instead of getting their civilian fleet the **** out of Dodge. Admiral Talizorah vas Normandy was with me on the dreadnought and that didn't even give them pause. It was great to see Tali again and as good to run into Legion on the dreadnought. Legion was being used by the Reapers so I rescued him and he returned the favor by finding us a way off the dreadnought before the Quarians were able to destroy it. While we were busy destroying the dreadnought, the Quarians and Geth were creating all sorts of situations around the system that I'm going to need to try and fix. I'm not sure I'm up for that right now. I think it's time to get the Normandy retrofit and take some time off. It would be nice not to have people shooting at me for a short period of time.

 

Before we were being shot at by the Geth and then the Quarians, I returned to the Citadel to track down a lot of people and give them the stuff I'd found that they were looking for and to talk to Ann Bryson at her father's lab. We've got an approximate location for the Leviathan creature but we will need to do some scanning to narrow down exactly where it is. On the other hand, Ann didn't seem to suffer any permanent harm from being taken over by the creature for awhile. James was very solicitous about her well-being. I'm feeling the need to meddle to see if I can get those two together.

 

EDIT: themikefest - I understand the bitterness completely. That's my reaction anytime the NY Giants are mentioned.

I need to record a playthrough. My mother, is a science fiction fan but loathes actually playing any form of videogames which is why I wish there was an ultra narrative mode, for people like her who love the idea of the storyline but detest any manual input FPS all together. Her talent with computers and games is solely to break them without heavy supervision- she's technologically inept. She has seen me play when I've helped her do ordering on my computer- she likes the story bits she catches (she takes longer because she wants to watch), even the action as she doesn't have to do it and I want to eventually splice a playthrough together for her to watch.

Yeah, I did the suicide mission first, and he did survive. I was fairly sure he'd be ok, as I had all the important Normandy upgrades, and I had loyal squadmates for all the roles that matter (heat duct person, 2nd team leader, biotic specialist)- but I would've been really annoyed if he hadn't. Lost Katsumi during the "hold the line" segment, but I can live with that. 

 

It seems to me there's some weirdness with the whole Reaper IFF/Legion mission/Collector kidnapping sequence- sometimes I have to do 3-4 missions after the IFF (including Legion's loyalty mission) to get the kidnapping sequence to trigger, and yet others, like this time, it happens after only two (and two on the same hub world that don't require returning to the Normandy in between at that). Biovar pls.
