A question in mind: how the hell did Joker get those muscles...?

Well, finally finished Leviathan.  I got side tracked with a little Bejeweled 3 (hey, it's free on Origin,) and had some chores to do.  Anyhow, I really do love that DLC.  I'm hoping that the whole Leviathan story isn't just going to be forgotten about.  I mean, wow...talk about some potentially awesome villains.

 

 I know the chances are unlikely, but I would love to see if the consequences of that will affect ME: Next.   That would be some Lovecraft mixed with Event Horizon right there and it would be a kick to play.  The other DLCs affected the game, like BDtS and Arrival happening no matter what.  The latter confused the sh*t out of me the first time I played ME3, since I didn't have the DLC installed.  So, perhaps that will factor into future games?  Maybe?  Hopefully?

Ahem, anyhow...going off to destroy the Reaper base on Rannoch and then start Citadel before Thessia.

I loved the Lovecraftian vibe of Leviathan as well, and honestly I wouldn't object at all  to them returning in the next game(s) in some fashion; kind of  a  "Old Gods lay asleep deep under the surface of 2181 Despoina"... err, doesn't really roll off the tongue, does it?

Finished my current playthrough with a red ending. Took Ash and James on the beam run and it was Garrus who didn't put shep's name on the wall. Something struck me as a little strange; When starkid was describing synthesis to shep, and shep asked it, "and there will be peace?" It answered with, "the cycle will end." ... which isn't really a definitive answer is it? Hmmm...

I managed to get my black velvet dress mod working for Citadel.  It's such a drastic improvement over the original monstrosity:

Took care of the clone.  I always felt a little bad for him/her at the end, when Brooks wusses out.   Yes, I took out Brooks.  Like with Awesome Toby, that's one of the Renegade interrupts I always take.

 

Started the first of the meetups, but I'm pretty sure I can't do the pre-party meetup with Miranda until after I take care of her sister.  I'm going to do about 1/2 of the rest, then go do Thessia/side quests.  Then come back.  If I was Shepard, after Thessia, I'd want a stiff drink or three.  I don't even drink anymore, but after the clone and Thessia back to back, I'd want to drink myself silly too.  I saved in the arcade just after Trayor's moment of awesome, and just before meeting Zaeed.

 

I think I'm done for now.  I feel like crap, since I'm coming down with bronchitis.  Frankly, it's all I can do to stay awake until after my doctor's appointment in a few hours.  So parties and saving the galaxy is going to have to wait for another day.  Hopefully I'll feel slightly more human when I wake up.  Glad I took care of laundry before starting my antibiotics, when I'm going to end up feeling like total hell.

 

As an aside, I wish the person that did that black velvet mod was still around.  I'd submit those cutscene pics to him/her for their gallery.  More than the little still from inside of the apartment, those screenshots really show how well that texture works on top of that mesh.

Finished up probably the best reason I have for doing the Garrus romance.  I made a save just before this scene so I can watch it when I'm feeling down.

 

 

Alas, that's the end of the fun and games for a bit.  I'm off to go do Thessia, as well as do Miranda's quest for the meetups.  In the meantime, I'm probably going to start getting high on cold meds, so if I get a lil loopy, don't mind me.  

 

Edit: I didn't realize how fun the Renegade interrupts were in that sequence.  I'm adding those to the Must Have list along with Awesome Toby's final interrupt, the Blue Suns Sgt from Garrus' recruitment quest in ME2 ("You're workin' too hard,") the Tali hug, and shooting Udina.
