Yep. Though I recommend saving before you do. I drove the Mako into the lovely lakes on the Citadel and fell through the universe into the endless void

Dude, seriously... you made my day  :D

All three games have some pacing issues right after the tutorial/introduction missions, but Mass Effect 1 seems to be the worst, at least to me, particularly since I complete all available secondary quests as soon as possible. That means several hours of never doing anything remotely related to the main plot, which makes the game seem like it drags on forever before it picks up some consistent pacing again.

It wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't already played ME1 a bazillion times.... and even I don't mind it that much cause I can still get into the whole awesome-new-galaxy-to-explore atmosphere. It's just part of me wishes that sometimes there was a 'skip the fade' mod, heh.

Most of my ME1 playthroughs is just doing the main quests, then import to ME2. The same with ME2. I recruit 8 squadmates, do some loyalty missions, do suicide mission and Arrival. In ME3, I do a couple of side missions and main missions to get to the end.

Yeah, it's just that stretch between first arriving on the citadel and first getting control of the Normandy that just seems to go on forever, and me being me, I gotta do it all.

Yeah, I don;t mind doing the Mass Effect planet side quests, but lord these mineral quests are killing me. I would shorten my my overall playtime significantly if I could avoid them, but OCD god damnit, I can't leave anything undone.

I don't mind that part of it so much. I just put on some tunes and go Mako driving, which I've grown to love.

Are you using Fortification for Damage Reduction or for Melee boost?

For melee boost at rank 4, shield recharge at rank 5 and power recharge at rank 6 (when I get there) :) I purge it a few times, helps against synthetics who are not weakened by Sabotage ;)

I'm never going to install Razor Gamer Booster anymore. I had to restore my system to the 6th of October, 'cause all of my games were not responding...

What is a Razor Gamer Booster? He asked, while making a note to never install it either.

Stopped the arrival, shot Kenson with a smirk on my face (really, really hate that woman), then spent 6 months doing nothing until the Reapers invaded Earth. Currently at the Mars Archive looking for....whatever Liara was talking about while Kaidan was distracting me....

LolGrammarFUps! But yeah, I don't know what it does when it boosts my computer, and so, I'm just not gonna bother downloading it again. I do get like 5 additional frames with that application, but it does things you don't even know... >_>

Sounds... ummm... yeah, i got nothing. Actually it sounds like a pretty small payoff for having to do a system restore.

What it kept doing was making my game Not Respond. On my Task Manager, it says "Not Responding" even though I'm playing it just fine. I can't play it on Windowed mode since it flickers back between the desktop and the game which really messes me up. It was a weird glitch that Razor Game Booster did. It's an app that boosts your computer by turning off background apps and lowering their memory and CPU usage to make as much space as it can for gaming. I guess it must have turned off something that caused instability with my games even some weird things were happening to some of my other applications as well as my browser.

Yikes. I don't like seeing "not responding" next to anything in my task manager, especially if I haven't done anything to cause it, heh. 5 FPS doesn't seem like much though, like hardly noticeable? Although maybe it is, I dunno.  :P

My friend and I have been so busy lately :(.

Maybe by the end of year my friend will finish ME1 and maybe ME2, and I'll be done my trilogy playthrough. Maybe.

I still got Nov-Dec. Oh wait, Dragon Age. And MMOs. And other games. Ack.

I know how you feel. I dunno if I'm gonna get through this trilogy run or not but I am gonna try. I still want to get back into my plays of Hitman: Absolution and Wasteland 2, and I just pre-ordered Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and Civilization: Beyond Earth. Then there's Pillars of Eternity, and Inquisition is no longer over the distant horizon.  Crap.

ME2 Insanity is too hard, so I'll do ME3 Insanity instead on an imported character.
Unfortunately, my bonus powers are bugged so I have to stick with my insanity character I made a month ago.

Here's my Emo-Shepard...

I know, great quality.

Not gonna say anything *cough*PCmasterrace*cough*

j/k  ;)

Maybe

Just remember to not sit in one place for too long -- but also to stay in cover -- and ME3 insanity is a blast. 'Stupid grenades' became my mantra, heh. The amount of time it seems to be taking me this time means I may not get another playthrough in before Inquisition, so I'm seriously considering another insanity ME3 run.

I keep checking my difficulity to make sure it's on insanity since its so much easier. Hopefully I still get the achievement even if. i do that.........

EDIT: This insanity playthrough, my Shepard will be ruthless through extreme levels. She will do whatever it takes to bring the reapers to extinction. That means sabotaging the cure, siding with geth. And old friends will certainly die, but only because Shepard thinks they never learned the art of war.

I think as long as you keep it on insanity after leaving Earth you'll be okay for the achievement.

Great - I solve the whole Quarian-Geth situation and I just want to take a nice relaxing break while the Normandy gets retrofitted. But apparently I'm asking too much as I just fell through the glass floor of a famous sushi restaurant while trying to avoid getting shot. And Joker may never forgive me for letting him get shot at but I swear I really needed a distraction right at that moment. At least I got to get Kaidan dressed up in black tie to go with me to a swanky party at the Citadel later and he was the first one to get to me when I was wandering around the ward trying not to get shot after falling through the floor of the sushi place. And what is it about that sushi place - the crew seems much more upset about the damage to it than any damage to me. We're still trying to track down who exactly wants me dead this time so I guess the whole vacation thing has been cancelled until we do.

But I did make peace between the Quarians and the Geth. Unfortunately it was at the cost of Legion's life but we seem to have broken the hold that the Reapers had over the Geths. And now both they and the Quarians are allies. And Tali decided to come aboard after the final battle (in which we killed a Reaper - woohoo). Kaidan and she did heavy duty these past few days while we rescued Legion, rescued Admiral Loris, shut down a Geth fighter squadron and then retook the main base and blew up the Reaper. Well technically the Quarian fleet and the Normandy blew up the Reaper but someone had to stand out in the open and hold that laser on its weak point. And dodge its death ray.

And then I came to the Citadel for a well deserved rest (did I mention that we killed a Reaper?) and look what happens. At least Anderson's old apartment is amazing and Wrex is in town and took out a shuttleful of mercs for me. It's always great to see him. Now if we can just figure out how to get people to stop shooting at me.........
