I decided to do a non import ME3 run.
I swear I won't do a whole trilogy run again, really, I mean it!
Ha, I was thinking the same way until now. I've even quit 2 consecutive ME1 playthoughts that I began because at some point I really didn't even wanted to play more ME1 again.
...but thing is that I really wanna play ME2 & 3 as a Soldier :_ I wanna kill stuffz with the Mattock in ME2...and with the Saber and the Harrier in ME3...right now I just don't know what do do D:
Tell you what, if this post gets 6 Likes, I'll begin another playthought, and this time I'll finish it, I swear. I'll even post screens and videos all during it to prove it.

Seriously though, Gladiatorium, do it if you have the time. Trilogy run is a quite time-consuming experience (if you're a completionist like me)

The awesomeness that is ME1 is motivation enough
... If you're like me and can't stop playing these games, that is.
...you know just how many times I've played ME1? I've been well over 30 full playthoughts of it. Heck, it's been the only game I've played while living in 2 different countries apart from mine! It's only natural that I am a bit....."used" to it ![]()

I completely understand, I've lost count of how many times I've played through all three games. That makes two of us. I like the games that's its hard to stop. Once DAI is released, that will change

How many playthroughs have you done with ME2/ME3?

Definitely less than ME1's, but still I guess that more than a dozen or so.

Tonight, Amy finally did this whilst listening to this:
I know Javik is supposed to be the 'default' choice for Thessia, but I has never taken Ash before. She has some good lines pointing out that the Goddess and helpers are basically Protheans, and arguing with Liara over it.

Yeah I can't stop playing the games either, not to mention a LOT of MP.
I thought I was weird that I'd played so many playthroughs (and couldn't stop playing). .....

So far, all the major decisions (genophage, quarian/geth war ending) I made are the same: paragon, no matter my reputation cause I'm too squeamish to see my squadmates die by my hands.
I feel like trying something new. Who will live: Geth or Quarian?

Not doing the "perfect decision" can sometimes be quite good. But on my truly renegade playthrough, the Quarians will perish.

Okay, so i've started as level 1 Engineer on Insanity to have some fun. Wicked fun. Also 3rd Insanity playthrough (over a course of 1 month) in a row, how's that. Created a Male character (named Maldron after one of my beloved enemies in gaming) using "Genesis 2" and edited to have romance with Jack beforehand (never did Jack before so i was curious).
Extracted from Earth. Some stupid kid crawling in vents, every death is a tragedy, why he seems so important? It is not right.
Went to Mars, nothing interesting there, but man, do those weapons suck, we're gonna need some funding. Liara found some device blueprint. Seriously, is this the best thing we can come up with? Well, i guess anything works. Ashley got smashed by some Cerberus robot *itch, need to get her to Citadel.
Met Garrus on Menae, he's still as bad at using Sniper Rifle as always, gave him Typhoon. Killed some Brutes, extracted Victus guy. He's kinda cool, i like those types more than goofy or naive characters, i wish i could kick some people off my damn ship? I believe i should chose who is working under my command, war like this is not a joke.
Saved Grissom Academy. Meet waifu, but no unique dialogue... wtf? (Is that normal? maybe my save edit didn't work) Died a lot! (Man those turrets) Thankfully, Maldron looks kinda similar to old Earth actor named Tom Cruze or something. (A reference!)
Also met Wreav. Uh, i loved this guy, unfortunately if i'll have to kill him when this is all over. Saved Krogan girl from Salarians on Sur'Kesh, killed some Cerberus idiots (Is it just me or do they look like they've escaped from some animated series? Those guys sure as hell need to get a grip!)
It was a long day for just one Commander Shepard, gotta take a nap or play some strategy games. This vintage Civilization: Beyond Earth is pretty nice.
Also heard from Corporal Duke, a Human Infiltrator, that Collectors are seen on Earth, in London. They put up a good fight, but are still mortal and can't take on prepared N7 Team. He suggested that i should try and get that Cerberus Talon pistol, it's amazing.

Haven't posted much about my current ME2 run, but I have been making progress. After gaining control of the Normandy, I went to the SR-1 crash site first, then to that other side mission where the Cerberus agent is being held by some eclipse mercs. He was dead when we got there, and I decided to keep the data we found for myself. Then to Omega where I went shopping, intimidating all the merchants into giving me better prices. Walked right by Zaeed like he wasn't even there. What's funny is, when my suicide mission is over he'll still be standing in the same spot, beating up the same batarian. Sadistic b*****d. Although, in truth, colonist shep approves.
Helped that one quarian merchant buy passage off Omega, made a batarian bartender drink his own poison. Colonist shep wishes the guy had refused a couple more times, just so he could start making good on his threat to blind the guy, one eye at a time. What else? Oh, met the Patriarch and gave a few thousand credits to an asari dancer. There go those shield upgrades I'm gonna want later
Truth is, I got a phone call that went on for awhile, right when shep sat down at the table, so he sat there for a quite awhile, heh.
Aria T'Loak told me not to f*** with her. So I won't, for now. She also told me where to find Mordin and Archangel, so we went after Archangel first. Felt strange to actually take Jacob on a mission that wasn't his LM. I already miss Zaeed. Making Garrus the first recruit mission is a nice change of pace, although that one stupid vorcha pyro who's hiding around the corner on the closing-the-shutters mission was a pain in the ass. Twice Miranda tried to overload his pyro-tanks and hit the barrier he was hiding behind instead. *sigh* Nobody's perfect.
Garrus got shot in the face by a gunship but still joined us. Then we left Omega to go after Warlord Okeer. My favorite of the early recruit missions. Fighting the blue suns and krogan tankbabies through the wreckage on Korlus is a fun mission. Recruited Grunt instead of Okeer, which makes me happy. Grunt just wants to fight and kill. We'll get along fine. He really seemed to enjoy him self on the prison ship, Purgatory. He got to cut loose a bit as we followed Jack's trail of destruction and mayhem for awhile before catching up to her and dragging her on to the Normandy. Promised her access to the ship's computers and didn't even lie about it.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention that before recruiting Jack, we went on a little three-part mission that ended with blowing up a 'mech factory full of rogue 'mechs. Glad to have that one over with. We also went to the Citadel where no one even offered to re-instate shep's spectre status. Wait what? What did I say that triggered that? On my last mostly renegade run, I got my spectrehood. Maybe it's because I told Udina he wasn't at the top of my list of people I was happy to see again, or something. Didn't punch out Khalisah al-Jilani, told Kargesh and Rukar there were no fish in the presidium lake, helped out a quarian accused of stealing, got Rupert some good food for the Normandy crew, intimidated all the merchants into giving me better prices. Guess I don't have a favorite store on the citadel this time. Talked to Anderson for a bit.
After that, Garrus and Grunt joined shep in going after the salarian doctor. In hindsight I probably shouldn't have taken them into a plague zone, cause it wasn't long before they started coughing and feeling like crap. Oops. Oh well, Mordin fixed them right up and I'm sure they'll forgive me. Cured the plague, restarted the ventilation system and all that good stuff. Finally was able to research all those upgrades I've been accumulating. Well, not quite all, Jacob was blah-blah'ing about the Normandy's armor and how the collector ship tore through the last Normandy like its hull was swiss cheese. The hell does he know about it? He wasn't there. Anyway, told him we couldn't afford it. Garrus wanted to upgrade the Normandy's cannons, but I told him to just keep on calibrating the ones we had until they were better than any upgrades we could ever get. He stared at me for a moment before saying, "Challenge accepted." ... Dumb ass. I figure it'll keep him busy for awhile.
Then it was off to Horizon where we killed some collectors... and husks, which proved the reaper connection, like anyone doubted it. Took Jack and Mordin with me this time. Grunt pouted, but I assured him he'd get his shot at the collectors. Met up with Ash afterwards. *cough* it didn't go well. Back on the Normandy I went down to the cargo bay and talked to Jack. Well, I say 'talked' but that ain't what happened. Killing bad guys must get her really excited cause dayum.
After that, we went to Ilium. Met up with Liara, who was happy to see me. I was just happy she wasn't hallucinating anymore. Also helped out Gianna Parasini again, met the rachni queen's spokesasari, and helped Shiala get the settlers of Zhu's Hope out of a bad legal situation. Now we are helping an asari Justicar find the name of a ship so she can continue tracking a dangerous fugitive, or join us on a suicide mission, whichever comes first.

Went shooting bottlecaps at the top of the presidium with Garrus, and then disabled a Reaper signal from a Geth dreadnaught and reuinited with Tali and Legion. Then punched Admiral Garrel (sp?) for firing on the ship while I was still aboard. Tomorrow going to rescue Admiral Koris and look for Quarian survivors that crashed on Rannoch then I am going to head to the Citadel for some R&R and checkout the apartment that Anderson is letting me use.
