After some slight tweaking to my suicide mission plans, the crew had to backtrack a bit today. Instead of recruiting Samara, shep decided he didn't need no asari justicars complicating his life... at least until after the mission... so we went to Haestrom instead and recruited the suddenly not-fated-to-die-at-the-galactic-core Tali'Zorah. Charged right down the middle the of the battlefield to the Colossus this time, which I've never done. Wasn't so bad. Hit it three times with Mantis SR shots and it huddled down to repair itself, which gave is time to rush towards it, shotgunning geth as we went. Grunt approved.
Back on the Normandy, Kelly told shep that she could read it in Tali's body-language that she likes him, and also that Jack wanted to 'talk' to him again. With a bit of a strut in his step shep strolled on down to the cargo bay. Turns out Jack only wanted shep to take her to an old Cerberus lab where she grew up, so they could blow it to bits. *sigh* oh well. Jack would have to wait, though. The crew went back to Ilium instead and helped an indentured quarian servant get a job with Synthetic Insights. Guess they forgot shep shot the hell out of one of their buildings on Noveria a couple years back, leaving piles of poloniumized goo everywhere.
Then the gang tracked down one of Miranda's contacts and went to kidnap rescue her sister. That was a fun mission too. Eclipse engineers everywhere! Tali sent Chatikka after them and shep threw inferno grenades when he could. They both pretended not to notice how Miranda refused to find cover and got shot down twice. Now, we're still on Ilium. Kelly sent word that Mordin wanted to talk to me, so I sent Miranda and Tali back to the ship, and called down Mordin and Garrus. We're off to recruit Thane next.
