Took care of a handful of loyalty missions: Miranda, Jacob, Garrus, and Mordin. Anti-social Shepard decided that avoiding them after they specifically asked to speak with her would just be rude and rather pointless, if not detrimental to the mission. Kept them all from killing their former friends. I'm putting off the Collector ship mission as long as possible by only having 7 squaddies active (thanks to the person I can't remember for noting that you need 8 in order for it to activate). Grunt is still in his tank.....I haven't decided yet whether to open it or not, but I probably will once Thane is recruited. Now heading to Pragia for Jack's mission. Not sure I have enough personality points to resolve the upcoming argument with Miranda but regardless I will stick with the outcome.

I headed into the final stretch of my insanity run. About an Hour into Omega some issues started to pop-up. First all my credits just disappeared, It went from 300k to 0. Then all of a sudden I lost all my First Aid packs, Ammo & grenades. Then finally my save got corrupted.

 

Still have no idea what happened to cause that.

The credits and med-kit thing happened to me as well and I always noticed it happened if I died during an autosave, it happens to me during the main game too. Reloading from a quicksave or restarting the mission seems to fix it.

On Insanity your going atlease die once or twice. You would think Auto-Save would work how their suppose to. All Trophy data got recorded correctly, that's something.

Started over today, Didn't have allot of time just got to Mars & created a Hard save to pick up from. Not going trust those auto-Saves anymore. Hate picking up mid-mission, due to lack time didn't have a choice.

That cut scene gets hilariously broken in freecam (as noted above), it keeps looping back to the start everytime you switch freecam on and off. Then the music and dialogue starts again whilst the previous version keeps playing.

Well besides all the blue porn, and head-popping goodness, I would say it was another day of "My name is Liara T'Soni and I don't really know how to use this gun. Not sure why Shepard brings me along for these fights since I zone out most of the time."

 

Looks like you could have a foursome: Shepard, her helmet, Liara, and her pistol.

Just a bit of advice: Don't overdo it with Lash. I managed to break the game using Lash on Kai Lame during the mission on Thessia. After getting tossed around a few times, he became embedded in the floor and could no longer be "killed" (e.g. go into his "I need to recharge" phase), so the game couldn't progress any further, nor trigger the cutscene at the end of the fight. I had to go back to an earlier save to fix it.

To be fair in that last one she had just detonated a singularity killing some mooks. But yes, here's another amusing example, she hasn't even climbed the ladder yet and I am already killing everything:

So last night on Turchanka, mission bomb I kept dieing right after I got out of the shuttle. No matter what I did, between cererus and the morter blast I just could not make it through. After a while, It was time to stop for the night. Today I did the mission again. This time I tried a new tactic, Sniper shot then RUN, did not try to sit and shot it out with cerberus since there seem to be no end to them. Went right through that part. Still my first run on hardcore as infiltrator.

Liara and Javik are good here because they can Crowd Control (CC) for you. Liara's Singularity and Javik's Pull will take those first troopers out of action while you run to the first cover position.

Can't really add too much, I've only put in 12 hours in the past 4 months. However, I am still making progress on this play-through(albeit at a glacial pace). So far, I've recruited everyone(skipped every citadel mission in the process; trying to get some of the companion achievements that I don't have in this play-through as well), Completed the missions at Therum and Feros(Shiala and the Colonists survived. However, Jeong was not so lucky this time around). I have done a few side missions as well, including Garrus' "Loyalty Mission(Killed Dr Saleon myself, Garrus wasn't too happy that I stole his thunder), found Kahoku's men(still haven't told him), dead scientists(Corporal Toombs didn't make it. Shepard decided to let Toombs kill the scientist since he also wanted the scientist dead. Toombs committing suicide was unexpected for this Shepard. He took it pretty hard.), took out the Geth in the Armstrong Cluster(allowed Shep to vent his frustrations after seeing Toombs bite the bullet. Gave data to Tali as well. Who better to find the weaknesses of the Geth than the people who built them?), and dealt with the biotic terrorists(Chairman Burns survived). About to do Wrex's "Loyalty Missions", than I'll destroy the troublesome AI on the Luna base(hello EDI).

 

As a side note, it appears I romanced Ashley without meaning to. I thought by picking the neutral dialogue options after Eden Prime(including a renegade one), along with picking mostly neutral dialogue options and a few renegade ones while talking to her on the Normandy, would prevent said romance. Well, it appears I'm at the point of no return now(damn it). I was hoping to save my VS choice until Virmire. However, it looks like Ash will live up to her name in this play-through.

I finished the Bomb mission on Tuchanka, Then went to the 'cerberus presence' mission on same planet. This time I took Garrus and liara, gave me a chance to practice some of the combos. that was fun!! You really need to tell your squad mates what to do on higher levels.Finished that mission without to much trouble.

So, this weekend was pretty eventful for Nang-Fa Shepard. (for those curious: Nang Fa is Thai for angel. I tend to give my characters names that are from Asian languages meaning angel  . ThienSu, TianShi, NangFa)

 

I charmed Wrex on Virmire, lost Ashley as I had to choose between her and Kaidan (which caused me to finish ME1 without romance, for the first time) and saved Kirahe. Tried charming Saren to join me, but to no avail. 

 

After Saren left and we were all back at the Normandy, we immediatly realised we needed Liara to connect the dots. So I went out to pick her up, which was kindof funny: she thought I was a hallucination. (which isn't the most striking change compared to getting her earlier. The opinion she has of her mother is the biggest change. She speaks so highly and with deep respect about her mother now)

 

Then I got called back to the Citadel and was subsequently grounded. Anderson got me out, by punching Udina in the face and unlocking the Normandy.

 

After leaving the Citadel I set out to do my remaining 2 quests: the alignment quests, which for some obscure reason I acquired both of.(I unlocked the renegade first.. then the Paragon one. So I figured I must've been 80% Renegade and 90% Paragon. The opposite was true... could this have something to do with me not finishing the Renegade one yet?).

 

I completed the renegade quest the Paragon way: no one sets me up and uses me like that, not even Hacket. 

 

I set off to Ilos. Met Vigil. Jumped through the Conduit. Made Saren shoot himself. Saved the council.

 

And then I woke up to some woman and some dude looking over me saying I'm not ready or something like that. Had to escape with some guy named Jacob, and met Miranda. This is all getting rather weird, with Cerberus and whatnot!

Several months back I decided to step away from Shep and the crew for a bit, and only last weekend got so bored with my other gaming options that I decided to pick up where I had left off - post "Priority: Palaven" with my renegade Soldier Shep.  Churned through a ton of ME3 over the last two weekends. 

 

Shep saved some Turians in over their head on Tuchunka, told the Dalatras to pound sand, cured the Genophage (renegade or not, couldn't kill Mordin), told the Rachni Queen to have fun dying, kicked a ton of Cerberus butt on various random planets, then kicked them off the Citadel, started looking for some mind-controlling squid called a Leviathan, brokered peace between the Quarians & Geth, watched Thessia fall, and killed his lame clone. Even had time to scan nearly every system he could find for space junk.

 

It still amazes me that this game sucks me in like it does, even after so many play-throughs.  Already up to Sanctuary in the main story, with about 1/2 of Leviathan, all of Omega, and the party left in DLC - I figure I can finish all that and be able to start a new trilogy run this weekend.  Haven't done a full run as an engineer yet......
