Shepard is a hardcore Ashley man. He did the fewest missions he could to maximize war assets associated with the initial set of fetch quests on the Citadel before he went to cure the genophage...to trigger the Citadel coup to allow him to get Ashley back on the team as quickly as possible. First try f*cked up and cured the genophage before defusing the Tuchanka bomb. Oops. That gets Eve killed (and makes the genophage cure look like it will match the worst predictions of the Salarians). So...go back to save games before curing the genophage, instead go defuse the bomb and THEN cure the genophage. Eve is OK and Ashley is back on the squad where she belongs. Now Shepard can cruise to a win with Ash and MEHEM.
Pretty much what I did today as well, except I difused the bomb.
But I did try to stick to the main story to get Ashley as fast as possible. My Shep is a hardcore Ashley man as well.
Now just getting ready to leave the Citadel and figure out if I want to start Omega, Leviathan, Citadel DLC, or some of the main missions. At least I'll have Ashley with me though
Will also be cruising towards a win with Ash and MEHEM, and will probably play the Citadel DLC after the ending for a well deserved victory party.

I'm sorry I have no idea why I wrote Sentinel....I meant Engineer. Completely wrote something different than I was thinking. NO clue why.
No problem, and now that you mention Engineer. I meant to say my first playthrough was Soldier, second Engineer, third Sentinel.
Not really sure what class to be for the 4th playthrough though. Maybe I should try romancing someone other than Ashley too, but it's hard not to romance Ash.
I always played soldier in my earlier games but recently decided to try infiltrator. Love infiltrator. Infiltrator makes curing the genophage a cakewalk. You get to the final field of battle in front of the Reaper on Tuchanka and need to set the two big thumpers going to call Kalroth (Mother of all Thresher Maws) but have to wend your way through a buttload of Brutes. As an infiltrator you can simply go invisible and run to one thumper, start it up, then cloak again and run to the second without having to say "BOO!" to a single Brute. Fast, no muss, no fuss.
Otherwise, get Ash and Garrus on your squad with sniper rifles and pick off everyone left and right without mussing Shepard's do.

I've seen others mention this too...doing the Citadel party AFTER the end but even with MEHEM is that really possible? On ME2 you had the choice of continuing to play in the same game post-suicide mission but I don't recall any such option other than "start new game or import character?" So far I like to do the party just before the final push to earth.

Then, my FemShep Adept played Shatter Eezo and broke the scoreboard on the Armax Arena (again).
And finally, I did my first gold solo with my Geth Trooper.
Ah... good times.

By the by...you DO use Texmod don'tyou so you can load the really nice textures, especially the one that makes Ashley's face more like it was in ME1 and for the (too) short bit in ME2? Less makeup, very hot

Ah nope I don't but now that you mention it, I may have to. Face has less makeup but her hair would still be down? I like her hair down.

In my 2nd playthrough that's when I played the party, right before the attack on the Cerberus base that way I could have everyone at the party. I also did make a backup save though so that I could play the party over again after the ending as well.
In MEHEM everyone lives, and in the cutscenes I think it shows that parts of the Citadel were unharmed. So I just imagined that when everyone got back on the Normandy from the scene putting Anderson's nameplate up, that they just went up to check on his old apartment to listen to all the recordings to remember him.
The only part I skip is the last part where they are heading back to the Normandy where Shep says it'll probably be their last party. That is such a sad scene when you think about everything, how the trilogy is all over, etc.
To me that last scene of the Citadel DLC is the true ending, and the perfect sendoff.

Playing the last few days...you know, you put Ash and Garrus on your squad (with Ash or Garrus carrying the Ada assault rifle while the other uses a powerful sniper rifle) you are virtually unstoppable. The Ada makes sniping hard (shakes the ground and makes your scope picture dance a lot) but that thing sweeps streets clean.
I'm gonna have to try that. You gave me another reason to have another playthrough, as if I needed another reason lol. The characters sure have a way of pulling you back into the game after it's over and even though there's not going to be any more content.
I swore that after my 2nd playthrough of ME3 that I'd wait a while to playthrough again because I was depressed that it was over. Hour later I was back to playing ME3.

Today I visited every planet in every system except Feros and Noveria, doing all the sidequests before actually doing anything important. Also, I realized I should have unlocked Medium armour before anything else because fighting even lowly pirates with only light armour is a ****.

My solution to that was to use the Geth sub machine gun on my infiltrator when they're close. That thing spits out so many bullets that even with all the shake, you can still hit stuff.mtmercydave09 wrote...

On a side note: I was really astonished how Liara reacted in ME2 after loving her in ME1, at that time I did not have LotSB.... all these side stories feel kind of neglected (Ashley / Kaiden just don't want to follow you; Liara can be romanced, but you have to buy the DLC) kind of a bummer....
[Sorry if my english is not that accurate; I hope the message is clear regardless]

Shep & Ash are off on a vacation somewhere, but I'm sure it won't be long before they have the itch to shoot something again.
Although Ash is getting tired of repeated head injuries everytime she goes to Mars.
