First, I helped Kasumi get back her greybox. I decided to spec her Shadow Strike into Heavy Shadow Strike based on some discussion I had once with Cap and Gown. What a stupid decision that was. Really wish I had went with Rapid Shadow Strike instead.

Ha! And I went with Rapid Shadow Strike on my current game and Kasumi was tearing up the place. (that is, when she wasn't getting herself killed, stupid AI!)

Today Tyson Shepard got very familiar with Shiara, shut down a nuke, recovered a data module from some space monkeys, and last but not least stopped an asteroid from destroying a human colony and then put a bullet into a batarian terrorist.

So Thessia has an artifact on their planet that might give me the location or mention who the travel agent is to complete 'The Vacation'. It would be nice if they told me earlier. Ok. Lets go. We fight through some uglies when I notice a shop that has bathing suits. So Ashley and I check it out

Ashley: Do you think I would look good in this or maybe that one over there?

me: Sorry. I saw it first. Haha

Ashley: I'm going to try this on. Be back in a moment

Liara: WHAT IS GOING ON?

me: We're trying out these swimsuits. Some really nice looking ones.

Liara: WHAT?

me: Maybe you like to try one on.

Liara: I CAN"T BELIEVE THIS. MY PEOPLE ARE DYING AND ALL YOU TWO CAN THINK OF IS TRYING ON SWIMSUITS

me: Get over yourself. Its not only asari that are dying, but Turians, humans and other species. I don't see what the big deal is. I mean your species waited till the last minute to tell me about this artifact.

Liara: Ah....ahh. I can't really argue with that.

Ashley: What do you think?

me: Damn. You will have the guys wrapped around your finger. I like it.

Liara: That is a nice swimsuit. Is there another one?

Ashley: Right over there.

Liara: Thank you. Now can we get back to the mission at hand

me: What a party pooper.

I talk with Vendetta, a Prothean vi, that tells me about the time they tried to use The Vacation. The forces were indoctrinated and wanted to use The Vacation for another purpose. Here comes this Cerberus guy. What's with the gunship? Oh crap. That stinks. Vendetta is taken before my eyes and still don't know who the travel agent is. Back to the drawing board.

Traynor was able to track the guy to Horizon. Nice. Oh yeah. We will have fun in Hawaii.

We get to Sanctuary. What is Cerberus up to? They killed all those people? No they didn't. They turned them into husks. That's not cool. Hey Miranda. How's it going? I like the way you threw your father out the window. Better than using an elevator. She takes her sister away and I head back to the Normandy.

Today in ME3, my Sentinel FemShep met up with Wrex, showed the men how it's done with Bakara, fought the huskified Rachni alongside Grunt's squad and finally decided that she's going to retire to Tuchanka after the Reaper War is done, to spend the rest of her life peacefully training pet Varren, riding Kakliosaurs into battle and hunting Thresher Maws, alongside her adopted Krogan children.

Picked up my ME2 Sentinel where I left off and went to Horizon.

Got to say, there is that sense of accomplishment I feel for beating a mission in ME2 (on Insanity) that I do not get in the other trilogy installments. ME3 multiplayer at times, maybe, but rarely.

When I got to the Defense Towers, it went something like this:

"I remember this being harder. This seems too easy." Starts to get hit surrounded by husks, shields go down. "Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap.. RUN!"

Played a few Firewalker missions for some XP and the biotic damage upgrade.

Next it is off to Illium for some upgrades, some chit-chat (and small side missions), and star charts. Then it is off to do a few small side missions for some further upgrades, like Canalus (N7: Anomalous Weather) for my third Damage Protection upgrade, which will also net me my Hard Shields upgrade. Then I can recruit Zaeed and walk into a Collector trap.

I'm playing two games at the moment.

I'm doing a Vanguard Insanity run on Xbox, I'm just about to board the Collector Ship. It's been a long time since I did a Vanguard Insanity in ME2 and it took me a while to get back into the groove. But it's not too bad.

I got fed up with all the disconnects and other b.s in the MP one day and decided to do a non-import me3 game. (On PS3 no less) Just finished Omega DLC as an Infiltrator. Heading to Thessia next.

For what Tyson experienced today I have one word:  Virmire

Status after Virmire: Wrex Alive, Ashley Dead

I have to say if there is any single one mission in the entire series that defines the series Virmire is it.  There is just something special about that mission.

Shepard was back in action, picking up where she left off in trying to get Wrex laid. We found a lovely Krogan woman for him, although she doesn't seem that interested. Poor Eve. Wait. Eve? As the woman who brings life to the Krogan race. And the bar I go to afterwards to meet Aria is Purgatory. And I'm Shepard. Symbolism! So, we meet up with Aria and she offers to unite the mercenary groups under my flag. Sounds good to me! All three are on board, Shepard gets involved in some random discussions on the Citadel (why? like she hasn't got enough to think about), then is off to space again.

Another Cerberus base drops, some guns on Tuchunka are recaptured, save some dumb Turian while stopping a bomb from blowing up the planet, a new Rachni nest is destroyed (didn't I wipe them out already?) and I'm sure something else happened, but it all blurs together into random pointlessness. Why is Shepard running around doing stupid tasks when the fate of the Galaxy is at hand? These races need to get their heads out of their butts and get some focus. That Cerberus base on some random planet in the middle of nowhere is going to mean nothing when the Reapers show up.

Ah well, cure the Genophage tomorrow. I'm sure that'll be useful when the Reapers wipe them all out. Couldn't we do this AFTER the war?

I was quite please to get through the Disabled Collector Ship with my Engineer (insanity) without dying. I was sure I would get stomped at some point since this playthrough has featured a death on almost every mission (except, oddly enough, the Archangel mission). I am never doing an Engineer on insanity in ME2 again. From now on I'll stick to the Adept for insanity runs.

Wiped out the Geth incursion in the Armstrong nebula and gave Tali the geth data.  Tomorrow Tyson is going to investigate rumors of Geth sightings on Noveria.  After Virmire things are tense and time is running out.  He knows the conduit is on Ilos but without the coordinates to the Mu Relay he does not know how he is going to get there.  Perhaps he will find answers on Noveria.

Oh and I equipped Tali with a Nexus onmi-tool not so much because of the insane boost to cooldowns but because of the dialog she and Kaidan have in ME 3 about omni-tools.  I wanted to make sure I got her the one she referred to as her preferred one in that dialog.  Reminds me now I got to get a logic arrest onmi tool for Kaidan.   Going to check the stores next I am on the citadel for one.

I did not do anything significant. Played some more Sentinel in ME2. Puttered around Illium for a bit getting store discounts, buying upgrades (although I may have stupidly bought an upgrade pre-discount now that I think about it; cannot remember), and helped out Liara and my creepy super-fan Conrad. I resisted the urge to hit him or shoot him.

Then I played a few N7 missions for some XP and important upgrades. Got my third Damage Protection upgrade + Hard Shields, and my third Heavy Weapon Ammo upgrade + the M-920 Cain.

Next up, I will probably head to the Normandy Crash Site for some easy XP, then pick up Zaeed which will trigger the Disabled Collector Ship mission.

I took Nikita through the Omega-4 relay last night. I debated not getting some of the upgrades but crumbled in the end and got them all. Thane went in the vents and died trying to close the blast door, then Mordin fell 'Holding the Line' as Niki, Miranda and Garrus dealt with the Super Contra boss. Legion was sold to Cerberus earlier and Grunt was never let out of the tank. I had done LOTSB and Overlord before the SM so I finished up with Arrival. Didn't warn the Batarians. Really this is a practical choice here. By warning the Batarians, you give them evidence that you were there, giving them solid cassus beli for DOWing the Alliance in exchange for what, a few hundred who paid heed to the warnings to get out? In exchange, Shepard's reasoning at the time is to keep the reasons for the system's demise secret so as to not spark a war on the eve on the Reapers invading.

Afterwards, Niki promptly forgot that she agreed with Cerberus' goals, something she had promoted the whole time consistently, from leaving David with Project Overlord, handing the Geth and Krogan for Cerberus research, to handing Veetor over for interrogation and of course handing the intact Collector base to TiM. Apparently she contacted Anderson, dropped off her surviving loyal to the end crew and for some reason handed the SR2 over to the Alliance and let herself get hauled away in chains for saving the Galaxy again.

After a 6 month blackout, Niki found herself watching some kid play with a model starfighter. She was interrupted by that dude Vega who 'escorted' her from Omega back to Earth. Met up with Ash again, gave her a verbal jab, Niki hasn't forgotten Ash's tantrum on Horizon after saving half the colony. Some board of Admirals wants to hear what she has to say, but we're interrupted by a !surprise! Reaper attack. The one I had direct evidence for, the one I did nothing about because I guess Hackett felt necessary to offer me up as a sacrificial lamb to the Batarians even though we could plausibly deny everything.

Left it with her and Andy setting out in Vancouver. I took around 5k screenshots for that ME2 run, I'm sure I'll get around to posting a few more.

I've seen others mention this too...doing the Citadel party AFTER the end but even with MEHEM is that really possible?  On ME2 you had the choice of continuing to play in the same game post-suicide mission but I don't recall any such option other than "start new game or import character?"  So far I like to do the party just before the final push to earth.

this is what I tend dto do too but then I don't use the MEHEM on mine

It doesn't make any sense that ANYONE knows the system was destroyed. When the Relay explodes the radiation is going to travel at the speed of light, meaning that even if they had a QEC on Aratoht, they wouldn't be quick enough to send out a message since they would be dead at the same instant they saw the explosion happening. As for anybody else in the galaxy: again, the light from the explosion travels at the speed of light so nobody with access to a Relay will know there was even an explosion for years. (Even at FTL speeds it will take the Reapers 6 months to reach the next Relay.) The only thing anybody could know was that the Relay was no longer working.

Science is not one of BW's fortes.

No arguments here. The fact that you take the hit regardless in ME3 is just another gut-punch to 'our' Shepards along the supermac railroad.

Batarians knew about Kenson's plans. Then Shepard rides in, kills a bunch of them and frees Kenson (without worrying about surveillance footage). So they know that Shepard freed Kenson who planned to destroy the relay and thus was an accomplice in its destruction.

Decided I'm going to do another run of the Citadel DLC. Was reminiscing about it earlier. It has to be one of the most fantastic fan service additions to any game I've ever played. Sadly I don't think I ever took to the forums at the time it came out to mention how much I enjoyed it. (I still have an old save file right before starting it so I can play all of the missions and post-mission content any time I like.)

Also, the change in the forum format tells me just how long it's probably been since I last posted here. I miss the old white text on a gray background look. It popped more.

I haven't done a Sentinel run in ME2 for years. Reading your post's got me thinking of doing one once I finish my Vanguard playthrough.

Sentinel was not my favourite class in ME2, (although I loved it in ME3).

Maybe coming back to it after so long might give me a new perspective or appreciation for it. Because it was the same with the Vanguard class in 2, (again not my favourite) but I'm really enjoying playing it this time.

Today in ME3, FemShep stopped Cerberus from taking the Citadel, said a tearful goodbye to Thane, got a nice eyeful of Kaidan on the way back to the Normandy (Do he got booty? He dooooo), fed her fish, reunited with Zaeed and was "rescued" by Conrad Verner.

Later, joined Jack in teaching the muggles in Purgatory how to dance "the Shepard", finally got around to waking up an oversleeping Prothean and dealt with the back-log of people wanting to come up to her cabin.

Chatted it up with Liara and pondered whether or not Kaidan had reconsidered that threesome idea from a couple years ago? Invited Traynor up, offered her the use of a shower, then didn't join her in a scene I like to call "FemShep is the world's biggest tease". Told off the Space Hamster for peeking at Traynor and trying to film that for the Extranet, although might keep confiscated tape for later (or blackmail). Decided to allow Allers her interview and then had to deal with being flirted with... (again).

Lastly, decided to feed fish again... because they are the only thing on the Normandy not trying to get into FemShep's pants, at least not at the moment. Although, when the Koi start to give the "come hither look", it might be time to find a new pet?
