Took a call from Hackett in my cabin, I'm asked to rescue Dr. Amanda Kenson. Will probably do so. Fed my fish and checked on Space Hamster.
Listened to Miranda's and Jacob's personal problems and told them I'd help. I have an ear for my crew's concerns, and I believe it benefits the mission if they get their problems out of the way and can focus on their job properly.
Hmmm, it seems Kasumi has a thing for Jacob.
Garrus is still calibrating, he's no fun right now.
Had a friendly and assuring chat with Grunt and talked to Jack, who somehow got the idea I want to have sex with her because I want to know more about her. Told her I'm not interested in that. I guess in time she'll see that I just really want to get to know her better.
Kelly mentioned Horizon and that I did a great job, then she asks me about meeting Kaidan there. She coaxed out of me that we have been through a lot in the past, and that I think we didn't have enough time together.
Also fell into the new message trap. There weren't any...
Scanned some planets and landed on Illium afterwards. Liara is here and it seems she's looking forward to see me. Will be nice to see her face.

Illium is like a reunion place. First, I stumbled into Gianna Parasini. We chatted a bit and then I helped her exposing an asari merchant smuggler. Received a kiss on the cheek. Being nice seems to attract quite some people.

Next, I hear about a troublemaker inside the Eternity club. Can't believe who I see inside - Conrad Verner. Wearing an N7 armor. Hearing him talk it seems he is fanboying pretty hard over me and wants to be like me. Someone told him about a red sand problem and he tries to take care of it. I'm taking over because this is not really his expertise. When confronting his contact about the whole thing she admits it was a lie. Threatened her to lie to Conrad again telling him he helped taking care of the problem. I assured Conrad too and tell him he can stop now and go home. He's such a weirdo, but I can't let him come to any harm.

Next stop: Liara's office. She hugged me and we chatted a bit. It became obvious very quickly that she's obsessed with the Shadow Broker. She doesn't even want to join my crew. Decided to help her anyway and hacked some terminals for her.

Met Shiala during that. She somehow turned green. Helped her resolving a medical issue concerning the remaining survivors of Zhu's Hope.

Returned to Liara, learned that she and her former partner Feron recovered my body for Cerberus 2 years ago. Then I gave her Cerberus intel about a Shadow Broker lead. She's excited and tells me to meet her at her apartment at some point.

But first things first. Still need to build my team, so next thing is tracking down Samara.

I completed my Lynx Shepard playthru. For the fist time since 03/2012, I choose Synthesis.

 

I hate myself. I feel sick now.

 

Why did i do it? 

 

Because it was a throwaway playthru.  There was no Thane or Kasumi. Miranda died at KL's hands. I started this Shepard sometime ago as a New Game with no importation. I don't like this type of playthru.

 

Advice to the unkowning: It's so much better when you import a saved game, especially a Legacy one (ME1 and ME2 completed with same character). 

 

I'll never do this again.

I just finished my second play-through as John Shepard and for the first time with a romance... even If I hated Priority Earth since I always thought that the most logical climax of the game should have been on a final suicide mission in the Citadel to secure the Crucible safely along with the entire galactic race backing you up with C-sec and other mercs as allies... I still have to give credit to Bioware for making me more depressed now f*** this I thought games are supposed to make me jolly

Javik: For power and influence. They never cared about the other species.

me: When we defeat the reapers, your government will have a lot to answer for.

Tonight, Shepard help Garrus with his issues... however, the power that be was too preoccupied with her nephew that she let Harkin get shot. Later, Shepard flirted with Garrus only to let him down later... like she did with Jacob... because she's on the rebound.. carrying her broken heart around... sighhh...

 

And then she went to Migrant Fleet and smooth things out with Tali's extended family. Oh hey, Morrigan... still... coming up with crazy ideas of yours? oh... okay..

Renegade  John Shepard on insanity ...

 

Shepard decide to do the Hot Labs route first so he initiated the neutron purge (... again ). The room filled with Rachni and were blocking the exit. Shepard sprinted towards the elevator and luckily he survived. Shepard was very close to death and must've pressed the elevator a split second before death because the death sound effect occurred and there was a red haze around the screen. But Shepard was still standing and so I naturally saved straight away.

 

The destruction of the Hot Labs had angered the locals as everyone was hostile on the way to Benezia. The Benezia fight went a lot smoother than yesterday because Shepard flung the commandos off the map and Tali hacked the snipers. Shepard's patience had run thin on Noveria so he decided to kill the Rachni queen through an acid attack.

 

Shepard has now finished with Noveria completely  and he is not sorry for seeing the back of the place.

Had to work today.  Yesterday I got the bartender killed at aria's bar and picked up Mordin then went to check out Arch Angel.  Found out it was Garrus and had to quit.

After a few days of trying to make my mods work, I did. Went to get Primarch Victus and then had to go help his son finish his mission. Shep was less than happy that he was not trusted by the new  Primarch . Still think Garrus should have got the job. Ran off and got Prothy the Prothean. Ran around the talking to all the crew. Wiped out a couple of Cerberus bases for fun, Shep always enjoys messing with TIMs plans..

Today Sabrina Shepard got the IFF thing and took the geth back to the Normandy SR2.  She woke him up and helped him with the heretics.  She did NOT let the heretics live to be reunited with the geth. Legion was okay.    With that done she went to see Liara again and then was going to go to Omega to meet up with Ish, but instead the IFF thing messed up the ship.  Joker died the first two times, and then I realized via google search that you have to watch for the scion to go by before heading up those last steps.  Bingo, Joker lived. 

 

Sabrina zipped around space a bit to get the materials for the geth thing for Legion and then made the decision to head toward the omega 4 relay.  Resisted saying "I want you, Thane" when given the opportunity and instead shared quality time with Garrus and a bottle of wine.

 

Thanks mainly to the wiki, everyone survived til the end. Kasumi was in the vent, Sabrina and Garrus led, then Mordin took the crew members back.  Samara helped Thane and Grunt, and then Sabrina went the last step with Garrus and Samara.  Debated and decided to go along with the Illusive Man. 

 

Going to take Sabrina through again.

Today, Ella Shepard went to Purgatory to share a couple of drinks with Steve Cortez. "To a new day!"

 

 

Good times. I couldn't help but notice that Joker has been dancing non-stop in the same spot ever since Cerberus hit the place. I'm not sure if he's glitched or what, because it seems EDI just gave up and is now sitting at her table alone. (I half-encouraged him to pursue her after telling him she could crush him during sex.)

 

 

Apparently he still hasn't broken anything yet.

 

Shortly after, Ella also visited Jacob at the hospital, and he expressed his new-found enthusiasm for the war.

 

 

"I FEEL IT. DO YOU FEEL IT? BELIEVE IT!"

 

El was less than optimistic, but it's hard to argue with a guy who makes a fist like that.

Today I went to look for Samara, arrived at the Spaceport and witnessed a talk between merchant Pitne For and Detective Anaya. It seems a murder accured, and Justicar Samara is investigating.

The Detective has orders to detain Samara, but I need Samara for my mission. So the deal is I take Samara away from here and the Detective has one thing less to worry about.

Entered the crime scene, killed some Eclipse mercs and witnessed Samara killing an Eclipse Lieutenant.

Samara was taken away by Detective Anaya and I have to get a ship name that Samara is looking for, as it carries her actual target.

Got a pass card from Pitne For and entered the Eclipse Hideout. Took down Enora and had to kill a lot of mercs and even take down a gunship before the final confrontation.

Met a drugged volus on the way and knocked him out.

Captain Wasea was a tough opponent, but through patience and a lot of retreating she was finally taken down. Got the ship name and returned to the Spaceport. Samara joined my team and we left.

 

Whew, another tough part. Teammates constantly died, the toxicity level thing was very mean, hehehe, and the spawning of loads of Eclipse mercs from the side was neverending, but I didn't die at least

Tonight, Shepard went to Zorya to save a refinery but thanks to Zaeed, he manage to blow it up. Shepard throw him a right hook... and Zaeed pout the whole time while we rescue people from being burned to death. 

 

 

Later we drop by Illium to help Miranda save her sister and then Tali came up with a good idea to solve our money issues when we dump Cerberus...

 

 

Then we went to Liara and gave her some juicy info on the Shadow Broker.. unfortunately for everyone, a building got blown up and we got ourselves a rogue Spectre again.... deja vu people. At least, we got everyone back... almost everyone.

Ok... so after finishing my second playthrough for the first time as male shep and experiencing romance... I just want to forget ME3 that it never happened at all... so I decided to load up ME2 and invited Tali to cuddle and left my PC running for 3 hours. They deserved that... a rest... and I think I'll just do that... bury the trilogy and forget everything so they can live in peace together. I just want to forget and unsee everything... I'll just do that... forget

Shepard now knows he needs to use the Mu relay but he doesn't have an exact location to follow Saren. Therefore, the next plan of action will be to recruit Liara. Shepard had a debrief with the Council about the events at Noveria (He probably would describe the events as horrific ). Shepard had a funny back and forth conversation with the Turian councillor.

 

Turian Councillor:  Do you take pleasure in the mass genocide of an entire alien race?

Shepard: Sometimes, it depends on the species ... Turian.

Turian Councillor: You will show me proper respect!

Shepard then spoke to everyone on the Normandy. The highlights in particular were Ashley and Tali. Shepard caught Ashley acting too casual as she was listening to her sister. She was reminded that this type of conduct is unacceptable. Ashley also tried to impress Shepard with poetry but only ended up boring him. The conversation turned to her dad as she said he was still watching over her. Shepard's therefore asked if her father was a zombie . Ashley ended the conversation on a religious note and Shepard told her not to preach religion on his ship.

 

Shepard tried to make conversation with Tali but she was still hurt over not receiving the Geth data and not in the talkative mood. Tali reminded Shepard that she is leaving after the Saren mission.

 

Before departing, the Council wanted another word and they said that Saren was on Virmire. Shepard didn't like taking orders (especially from the Turian who he severely dislikes) and told them that he is "DOING MY WAY!".   

 

Shepard has used all the points on intimidate and it is maxed out completely. Went to a nearby system and it initiated Wrex's quest for armour. Shepard and his team ended up racing to the armour and back without killing anyone. It was a cowardly tactical decision to do it this way .

Well, that was an insanely frustrating experience.

 

I tried playing an aggressive, Tech Armor-detonating Sentinel. Insanity difficulty.

 

I loaded a Sentinel playthrough and chose a save. Luckily, this Shepard had plenty of saves to choose from. I ended up deciding to try it out on Priority: Rannoch (Geth Base). Hoo boy.

 

First, I decided to play it like the Multiplayer Turian Sentinel, and take combat advice from the Turian at Castle Arcade in the Citadel DLC. Yeeeeeeah. I don't think I ever made it up to the catwalks.

 

So then I decided that Defense Drone would be a good bonus power to use. It worked a bit, but I didn't do much better. So that went out the window.

 

Finally, I decided to strap on Defense Matrix as a bonus power for the shield restore and some extra damage reduction. That worked a little better. I still died repeatedly. On my best run I made up to the elevator but the Geth Prime killed me when I got too aggressive. That's when I quit.

 

 

Not doing that again any time soon. Not really worth it. You cannot be all-out aggressive; rather you have to play guerrilla-style hit-and-runs. You shoot a bit, run in and detonate tech armor, then back out and shoot some more.

 

The big problem of course is the (relative) -40% damage protection you are penalized when out of cover. You basically need Tech Armor/Fortification/Barrier/Defense Matrix to mitigate some or all of that extra damage. And you are of course losing damage protection when purging Tech Armor/Defense Matrix/Barrier/Fortification.

 

And Tech Armor really does not deal enough damage. Maybe if I had run power damage armor instead of shield+shield regeneration armor it would have been better. Hard to say.

 

Also, I could not find a gun I liked on the guy. I tried shotguns, pistols, SMGs, and assault rifles. To make it work, you really need close to +200% weapon weight so you have Tech Armor and Defense Matrix at low cooldowns so you can purge and then re-activate them as soon as possible, or purge Tech Armor > purge Defense Matrix as soon as possible. 

 

 

 

Not sure if I will be trying this again any time soon.

Sabrina started anew yesterday.  Picked up Mordin, Garrus and Jack.  It's so hard to resist romancing Garrus.  He's so familiar and trustworthy.  Sabrina has been flirting with Kelly in the hopes of having her feed her fish to avoid them dying due to her own inattention.

Liara: Will you tell anyone about my people withholding information about that artifact?

me: Let me ask you this. Would you if that artifact was found on any other homeworld? What if you had family members or friends that were killed that might be alive?

Liara: I don't know. If it meant saving Thessia, yes I would.

me: Then you have your answer.

Liara: This will ruin my people Shepard. You know the future. What will happen?

me: Just know I will hand the information to the leaders of each species and let them decide their fate. What your government did was unforgivable. Had it been any other species that hid that artifact, I would do the same thing. I have to go

 

me: This was your fault. Because of your stupidity all civilizations have been killed. If you want to make it up, give me something that can stop this.

Leviathan: No. You will remain here while the rest is harvested.

me: That's fine. Just remember I know where you live and I'm sure the reapers know as well since they're close by.

Leviathan: I now understand why the reapers consider you to be a threat. Take this datapad. Enter the code and it will upload a file. After a few moments, the intelligence will shutdown.

me: Why didn't you use this in the first place?

Leviathan: There was no time. Now go.

 

me: Well done Miranda. Throwing the dumb daddy out the window to his death move. 

Miranda: Thanks. I've always wanted to do that. 

me: I guess you will take your sister to safety? Don't worry about telling me you put a tracer on Kai Leng. I know I'm going to Chronos to stick my omniblade in his gut.

Miranda: Ok. What do you see is in my future Shepard?

me: One thing is for sure is you and I will remain as good friends.
