Shepard's been following up on leads from Feros. Unfortunately, that took him to the Maroon Sea... full of lush, verdant green planets. Is it just me, or are those the hardest to navigate?    There's always one road that will get you to the destination easily... but I only spot it after I've driven up several cliffs and mountains to get there. 

 

Anywho, it's hardest to say whether husks or Thorian creepers are the most replusive enemy, but after today, it's definitely creepers. The team investigated an ExoGeni facillity that was crawling (creeping?) with the things. We lured them into a narrow corridor, threw them around with singularities and carnage. So much green slime, and such a lovely popping noise!   Shepard found some scientists hanging out in the back. The lead was talking about how they'd made the creepers into 'docile servants'. Call me crazy, but who would actually want a creeper as a servant? "Hey, disgusting zombie monster with the talons - come and give me a foot rub!"

 

Clearly, ExoGeni isn't known for its common sense. Or it's health and safety regulations. 

 

After surviving the creeper uprising, all the scientists were mowed down by Shepard. He said something like: "Too many people have died because of this. Blood for blood." Silly people actually thought they stood a chance! Maybe if they'd just surrendered, they'd be rotting in a cell right now, with a nice view of a nebula or something.

 

The team then tracked down Kahoku. Shep searched two facilities, opening the 'diagnostic unit' and letting the husks/rachni attack Cerberus for him. Never has the sound of "ENEMIES EVERYWHERE!" felt so appropriate. 

Kahoku was in the final unit. Shepard swore revenge and then left. Hopefully someone's coming back for Kahoku's body. We went to all this trouble to find him, the least we could do is get him a funeral! Later, he got a call from one of the Shadow Broker's agents, who wanted to buy info on Cerberus. Shepard was happy to sell. Credits in his pocket, and a favour to call in later? It's been a successful day! 

 

The conversation turned to her dad as she said he was still watching over her. Shepard's therefore asked if her father was a zombie . 

And this is why renegade Shep is just marvellous! A troll, socially inept, or just an arse? Who knows!

Wait, you can do that?! They always attacked me alongside Cerberus! I also kinda miss "Taking casualties!" when I play ME2 and ME1

Revka, Garrus and Liara broke into Shadow Broker's base. Play hide and seek with a shotgun against the Yahg .. a lot of cool cutscenes with bad ass terminator Shepard. Liara landed a dream job. Had a talk with her later about Kaidan... and Cerberus using him and Shepard as Collector's bait. Angst. Nasty TIM the sob. Asked about what keep her going which Shepard replied "Not fighting for but fighting against. EVERYONE IN THE GALAXY WANT TO KILL ME SINCE I WAS A TEENAGE GIRL, DAMMIT!!"

 

Then Shepard flirt with Kelly a bit and she went to Aite.. and nearly flattened by a giant satellite dish.. she's genuinely pissed at Dr Archer... bad egg

 

Oh, and Hammerhead was really pathetic against those armored turrets which gain intelligence with Insanity upgrade...

Renegade  John Shepard on insanity ...

 

Shepard has been completing a few side missions. The first was on the planet Metgos as a transponder signal needed to be investigated. Shepard got to the site and it was a Geth trap. Geth vs Mako and the Mako won quite easily. This was probably the quickest side-mission that Shepard has done on insanity as it only took a couple of minutes.

 

Shepard returned to the planet Mavigon to deal with the crime syndicate. This is the one where the base is on top of a sheer cliff and the Mako went all the way round to gradually edge towards the top . Once inside the base, Shepard defeated the entire gang mostly through singularities and Kaidan's neural shock. All of the team managed to stay alive.

 

It seems Shepard had a thing for the letter "M" today as he then travelled to the Ming system and he found the MSV Worthington. Shepard's mindset was like that of a pirate as he was going on board to loot the vessel. The ship seemed empty but was booby trapped. A containment canister blew up near Ashley and then replied that "it was fun" . Shepard gave her a medi gel just in case. It turns out Jacob's on board and is being kept alive by a machine. Julia intervened and died. In Shepard's defence she did shout "I WILL DESTROY YOU" in battle so she might have been evil. Shepard decided to keep the life machine on so now Jacob is travelling on board an empty ship just floating away on his own. Miranda found Jacob on this ship later and performed the Lazarus project on him as a trial, that was a joke *in EDI voice*

Sabrina round 2 continues.  Visited the Citadel and talked to Captain Anderson and shopped.  Bought some fish and continued to flirt with Kelly so that she'll volunteer to feed them at some point.  Went to see Warlord Okeer but left with Grunt.  Love Grunt.   Heard that Kaidan was in Horizon so set course and now she is there.  She died AND my game froze after I had hacked the tower but before the big guy came out to play.    Stupid husks.

You along with the other clowns in the Alliance failed to make any effort to located the SR1 and when you finally did, you made no effort at all to check the sight. Remember that fan fiction I told you about? Yeah. Ahh. Now you see who killed you in the story. You catch on.

me: Shut your face. Let me continue. You put all your faith in something that has never been tested and did it without having a backup plan if the thing fails. Throughout this whole campaign you cried like a baby that we can't beat them conventionally closing your mind to any idea brought your way. I'm not saying any of those would work, but still. Your answer was to take our chance with what we have if Cerberus didn't have the information we needed.and head to Earth. It would turn into another episode of what happened against Sovereign. Face it Hackett. You are a crappy leader. Where did you get your leadership skills from? Leadership for dummies book?

Hackett: I've heard enough Shepard. I will see that you're court martialed.

me: Good luck with that clown. When the reapers are stopped, you'll be singing a different tune

 

Traynor: Everything ok Commander?

me: It is now. Get to your station. Its time to head to Earth. And thanks Sam

 

me: All fleets prepare to fire. Watch what happens Steve. Fire.

Steve: Wow. The reapers can't see. That's amazing. I've seen you and the other use the peels, but to see the pudding cause the reapers to go blind is...is. I have no words for it.

me: We still have work to do. Get to the shutlle. We need to get to London.

Steve: Yes Commander.

 

Anderson: What do you mean I'm relieved of Command?

Coats: Just like I said. Shepard has given us the plan that we will use to get to the beam. Your plan sucks and is suicidal.

Anderson: Is this the beginning of the end for me Shepard.

me: Yes. Plus if I have to hear you say I was born in London one more time, I will shoot myself. Oh just to add to your anger, Kathlee said that she's forgot about you and that she will seek satisfaction from a younger man

Anderson: Why you little b---

me: Now, now. Save your energy for running to the beam. Major Coats start the assault. 

 

 

me: Joker. Drop that last crate of peels near the destroyer. Once it falls over fire at it.

Joker: Yes ma'am

Ashley: Can the Normandy take out the destroyer in one shot?

James: We're about to find out

me: Joker. The thing is still moving. Turn around and fire at it again

Joker:: Yes ma'am

me: Good shot. Load up the banana pudding in the main gun

Joker: Aye, aye Commander.

 

James: This isn't good

me: Coats. Order everyone to hold position. Joker fire on Harbinger

me: I'm going up the beam while the 2 of you head back to the Normandy.

Two things:

1. Previously, when I tried a melee-only Soldier, it was on the Turian Platoon mission and it went horribly. I tried it again with a slightly more optimal setup and this time I micromanaged my squad a bit more by bringing up the power wheel to use my squadmate powers to take out the Harvesters on that mission. I beat it in one shot this time... if you don't count the first attempt where the first Harvester somehow killed me by shooting me before it landed. I did not even know it could do that.

 

2. My confidence having inflated a bit, I tried a few more times at beating Priority: Rannoch (Geth Base) as an aggressive Tech Armor-purging Sentinel. And I actually beat it!

 

I kept the same squad of Tali and James, but this time I used Tali's Combat Drone. That thing helped a lot. Chatika for MVP! James was mostly there if only to prove to myself that if I could do it with him, I could do it with any squadmate... which is probably not even remotely true, but whatever. His Incendiary Ammo helped.

 

It was still mostly guerrilla-style hit-and-runs, but it worked. The Geth Primes were a pain in the butt and made me waste all my medi-gel reviving my squad but I got it done and for that I am happy.

 

I recorded it, so hopefully some time tomorrow I will have it posted to YouTube to share with all of you.

 

And I still have videos of all my failed attempts at it, so I may make a death compilation of that as well. I'm undecided at the moment.

Well you can see what I will be doing in ME3 in about 15 minutes on livestream @

Met with Seryna who took me to the Dantius Towers. Right into action killing some mechs. Patched up the Salarian that was attacked by those mechs.

Proceeded and fought waves of enemies, warping, overloading, hacking, shockwaving, pulling, rinse and repeat. Too bad Jack and Miranda died a lot during this mission. I didn't want to waste my precious medi-gel so I fought on my own for some time.

Helped a bunch of salarians on the way. One of the best lines: "Tell your assassin to aim for her head. Cause she doesn't have a heart."

On we went and I died 2 or 3 times. Krogan are trouble! Then I found a great cover spot and took him and the 2 Eclipse Engineers down.

Took the elevator up and faced a lonesome merc. Pushed him out of the window.

Proceeded and heard Nassana overtalking that she's not happy with all I've done so far. Well I am!

Bypassed a door and faced a salarian shoving his gun in my face. We talked it out, and I sent Telon and his fellow salarians to safety.

Fought our way across the bridge and finally to Nassana. I did sh*t for her before so maybe she's reasonable. While I tried talking her out of the idea that I was sent to kill her, someone dropped from the ducts in the ceiling and killed her mercs. Then it was her time to die. I guess we met Thane.

The guy is silent until I start talking, and we find out that we were a great distraction for his plans. Well, thanks. I told him I want him on my team and we also learn that he is dying. Sorry 'bout that.

We returned to the Normandy and Jacob is not pleased about Thane. They'll figure it out.

That leaves only Tali to recruit and I'm looking forward to having her back.

 

 

This mission was really a bit tedious. Soooo many enemies.

Sabrina 2 continued inching toward the collector ship quest by finishing Horizon with Grunt and Jack.  Seeing Kaidan was heartbreaking.  He was so cold.  Some unseen force was preventing her from glomping on him like she wanted too.  She didn't even like him that much before, but he looked so cute.  Stupid IM was callous about it.  Kelly inquired and was flirted with. 

 

Jacob and Miranda dumped their loyalty missions on Sabrina.

 

Sabrina went to Illium with Miranda and Grunt, was delighted to hear from the Rachni Queen, Gianni Parasini (sp) and Shiala.  Helped the last two out with their issues then went to see Liara.  Didn't tell her we have intel on the Shadow Broker, instead asked about Thane and Samara.

 

Hunted down Thane and cackled in delight when Nassana went down.    Jacob was an ass about Thane when we got back on ship but he'll have to deal.   Fed her fish and visited her hamster.  Jack told her about her early life and Sabrina said she would set course for P... whatever that planet is.  First though we were still docked at Illium.

 

Back to Illium, found Samara then found the name of the ship her target left on.  Back to the ship.  Fed fish, talked to hamster, Mordin and Jack told Sabrina about their unresolved issues.

Traynor: I wanted to be on the shuttle when we came to get you. Are you ok?

me: I'm fine. I will admit you look good wearing my armor

Traynor: James suggested I put on armor just in case so I borrowed a set of your armor. So what does the future hold since you know a lot about it?

me: My time for telling the future has ended. It has been passed to you

Traynor: What do you mean?

me: What you said the other day is the future

Traynor: Cool. Come on princess. You have to take me to Vancouver and buy me a drink

me: Haha. Yes ma'am

 

Epilogue

 

The reapers left the galaxy never to be seen again. The galaxy slowly rebuilt. All species incorporated using banana peels in their training for the military. Over time the galaxy was renamed 'The Banana Way'. On Earth, banana's became the number one food and banana pudding became the favorite dessert for everyone

Make sure to kill Garrus too. Priority: Palaven actually makes more sense without him. You don't have an emergency to get Liara out of the squad that conveniently goes away only to happen again the moment Shepard leaves the War Room. Also, if playing a FemShep you get a scene with Traynor blatantly checking out Shepard's ass right before the second dream sequence. Who does Traynor think Shepard is? Miranda?

Speaking of that run, Katherine Shepard finally got to do the second-hardest thing she'll ever have to do -- gunning down Ashley to protect the Council. Had to fool around with Gibbed a lot to make Ash refuse to listen to reason; it's only a one-bar check.

So... Revka skipped the data packet mission because she kept dying from those turrets. So she gave them up and just cruise through the stations (and kill several space cows) and the geth ship.. and she hadn't died even once.

 

Then she go all Johnny Mnemonic.. the visor actually made it look cool instead of plain glowy eyed creepy...

 

 

She went solo and save a guy from his crazy brother. The power that be is a scientist too you know.. you're plain crazy Dr Archer. And the geth aren't going to be our problem anymore..so put a lid on it.

 

Then Revka went to fetch the IFF and she found another sniper for the team.... Team Widow!

 

Almost immediately after we got our new friend loyal to our cause.. Miranda had a bright idea about something that involve ALL of us sharing one tiny Hammerhead shuttle and while we're off doing.. something. Our ship was attacked by the Collectors... Joker saved the day and we all need to go through that Omega relay before everyone becoming reaper paste. Priority : Journey to the Center of the Galaxy..... Shepard are going to get rich from the vids.

I think that singularity and AI hack are very useful for this fight (is this the Krogan and Geth fight after the elevator?). If you can't use these then I would suggest grenades and trying to hide round the pillars.

 

But you can take my advice with a pinch of salt with my track record  (e.g. stuck on Noveria for over a weekend )

Shepard mindset went back to being a pirate as the Normandy located another ship. Shepard went on board to loot it. The ship was full of "test subjects" which looked a lot like Thorian creepers . Shepard used a singularity on the group which made it look like a mini tornado and defeated them all. Dr Saleon was responsible and was dealt with without Garrus.

 

Shepard returned to the Kepler Verge to sort out some mercenaries (this is the third attempt). The fight was going well and there was only one sniper merc left. Then the most embarrassing event occurred ... Shepard got killed by the last sniper merc but not through a sniper shot. It was a pistol shot!!!

Shepard tried again (forth attempt) and wiped out everyone. He went  to the end of the base to find Toombs threatening a scientist. Shepard killed Toombs and saved the scientist.

 

Decided to start the Virmire mission so I will be doing the recruiting Liara mission last. Shepard got in the Mako and ran over some crab creatures and blew some up as target practice (because he is renegade ). He then encountered a Geth Colossus and the Mako got destroyed by the blue shot of death. The reload was at the beginning of the map so I will progress more tomorrow hopefully.

You're pretty early in the game, right? He gets easier when you've got more powers unlocked. In general, the thing to do is just keep him stunlocked with powers while you shoot the geth. Wait for him to get up and then hit him with something else

If your Shepard is an Engineer, Adept or a Solder check out capn233's leveling guides. He has videos for that encounter. The key is to have a biotic power or Neural Shock to stop him from charging

I love the Banana saga.  I haven't played ME3 yet, but am looking forward to it.  Going to stick it out with Sabrina 2.

 

Since last time Sabrina 2 helped Liara with some stuff around Ilium and then helped her take down the Shadow Broker.  Right now she is on Tuchanka talking to Wrex.  If the shadow broker counts as one of the 5 quests between Horizon and the Collector ship then she's going to help Wrex and then help Mordin.  Tuchanka is not her favorite place.  If she still has one left after that she'll go get Tali.  Doing different order than Sabrina 1.
