DLC. I have to decide - Lair of the Shadow Broker, Arrival or Overlord. I suppose that LoSB would be rather Liara-heavy? She is not my favourite person, but if the dlc is good enough I might put up with her. Help me out here guys. Which one do I choose? Which one do I choose?

Renegade  John Shepard on insanity ...

 

Shepard started in the Maroon Sea cluster to complete all the side-missions (Liara can wait a bit more). He started on the planet Chasca and the colony had been huskified. Cerberus were responsible and there was some data to download off a console. The next planet was Nodacrux as there was a distress signal that needed to be investigated. When Shepard got to the facility, it was overrun with Thorian creepers. Shepard found out what happened at the facility from an Exo-geni researcher and the researcher offered a cash bribe to spare her life. Shepard accepted as he seems to be motivated by money more than anything else.

 

Shepard turned pirate again as he located another ship. It was the MSV Cornucopia and there was no loot on board. Shepard just found husks round every corner

 

The Normandy left the Maroon Sea cluster and travelled to the planet Nonuel because Hackett wanted Shepard to meet Darius. This meeting didn't end well and negotiations failed. Darius died and it turns out Hackett set the whole thing up to protect some miners. Therefore, Shepard's respect for Hackett has fallen.

 

Shepard cleared the second crime base and met Helena Blake on Amaranthine. Shepard had a little talk with Helena and agreed to leave her be for some credits.

 

Finally travelled to Artemis Tau Cluster, the first planet to explore was Sharjila and Shepard destroyed a slaver base. He also got some info on the slaver as she was Nassana Dantius's sister. Shepard is going to use this info as blackmail later . He also cracked a safe in the facility which gave him 85,000 credits. Shepard's net worth at the moment is 3,788,497 and his main aim has changed to getting on the galaxy rich list. Shepard finished the day by landing on Therum.

 

Shepard hasn't died at all today . The main reason is that the guns have polonium rounds and equipping better armour.

Today, Bulletless Soldier Shepard searched for Leviathan:

1. She found Garneau. He was dead.

2. She found Ann Bryson. She nearly died.

3. She found Leviathan and a few of his friends. She wished they were dead.

Today Luna Shepard set foot on Rannoch

 

Unfortunately I didn't pay enough attention in the end and went with blue dialogue option. Will probably replay the mission tomorrow and choose the red one

It was finally time for Virmire today. Shepard headed out in the Mako with his go-to party (Ashley and Tali). Every time we came up against a colossus or armature, it was softened up with the cannon, then they got out on foot to finish it off. Extra XP!  I think. It got a bit hairy at one point, because a colossus blasted Tali and she went down like a sack of potatoes. Without her tech savvy, the stupid thing regenerated its shields. It wasn’t until then that Shep realised just how far he’d gotten from the Mako. He told Ashley to Carnage that thing and hoped for the best.

 

Fortunately, they made it to the salarian camp mostly unscathed. Wrex worked himself into one hell of a temper. No one had any confidence in Shep’s ability to talk him down (thanks, guys). He informed Wrex that the krogan Saren’s cooking up are just tools and that Wrex is a tool for acting like this. The big guy cooled off! Every salarian Shepard spoke to said some variation of “wow, a krogan listening to reason?? What is this strange creature you have discovered??” Jeez, no wonder they hate you. 

 

With Ashley helping out the salarians, Shepard brought Liara. She’s not as good in the survivability department, but who doesn’t love biotic tennis with indoctrinated salarians? Should’ve brought Wrex, it would be so cathartic for him. Shep killed a bunch of the salarians that were being held in cells. Liara got all soft about it, but Tali understood it was mercy-killing. See Liara, this is why you usually stay on the ship.

 

Predictably, when it came down to the choice of who to leave behind, Shepard said goodbye to Kaidan. Shep will miss you, fella... even if you do start every conversation with a complaint. You were with him at that pivotal moment... when we lost Jenkins. 

He just can’t leave Ash behind. Maybe he’s getting soft, this would never have happened on Torfan. And not just because they were all ugly there.

 

Shepard was pretty irritated about the whole thing, including Liara nearly fainting after the joining (is this the third time now?) and Tali being negative about the Ilos thing. He tried to make the council see reason, but the turian councillor was a dick. “Aww, looks like we lost the signal, Joker.”

TIM tried to kill Kaidan again and now Revka was all guilty and miserable because she said he's all in the past. Obviously not. We run around Citadel, eavesdropping people, recruiting merc, meet with Kasumi and Miranda etc. Traynor pinged about Grissom Academy and we save Anderson's girlfriend and Jack's biotic kids. Wait, its a proper legit Alliance program? So.. Kaidan is Jack's boss... huh. Then we went to Sur'Kesh, pick up Mordin and rescue Wrex's girlfriend.

Dare continued her journey after being re-leaved of duty for working with Cerberus. (I guess that's why... didn't do Arrival). While vacationing in lockup (of sorts), the military council court decides to consult with Shepard about the boom of doom headed toward Earth.

 

The inevitable happens... The Reapers start destroying planet Earth, take out the military council court, and Shepard is quickly re-instated to the Alliance and charged to get help because Earth is bantha foodoo otherwise.

 

So... off I go to Mars only to run into Liara. She and Hackett thought there might be something in some Prothean archives on Mars... and they were right. Unfortunately, the Illusive Man's already gotten the data by infiltrating the facility with his latest AI'bot "Eva". James nearly killed us all stopping Eva from escaping, but we got the data. Kaidan almost died (not sure why he didn't...) when he was repeatedly knocked against the side of a shuttle. 

 

Back on the Citadel, Liara and I presented the data to the council. As usual... they blew me off.  Udina asked me to stop by his office. He creeps me out.

I'm currently playing Castlevania 2. Not a bad game. I've also been continuing my DAI playthrough that I haven't touched in about a month. I also might start another Mass Effect trilogy run.

I miss Kaidan.  Looking forward (I think) to ME3 when Sabrina 2 finishes me2 maybe tomorrow.

 

Today we helped Jack resolve her past.  Miranda was such a brat afterward and Sabrina told her to stand down and she was mad.  Sorry but Miranda you are a total rag sometimes.  Went to recruit Tali and kept her buddy safe so when Sabrina went back to talk to Miranda she was cool again and loyal again. 

 

Did some N7 mission and then Tali's treason mission.  Sigh over Loghain's voice. 

 

Did Kasumi's loyalty mission.  Easier that the first time since I knew what to do in Hock's house.  Didn't have to break into the bedroom through the balcony like last time.

 

Did Zaeed's loyalty mission.  Again saved the people in the refinery and told Z to go to hell.  He's such an ass.  Sabrina does not like him at all.  Joker just told her, though, that Zaeed his like Sabrina only he does it for money.  Hmmm.

 

After each mission Sabrina has visited Thane in Life Support and they hold hands and talk and my heart is warm.  Living in the moment.  I've seen youtube videos about Thane and already cried about it,

 

Ran out of time to do the IFF today so will do it tomorrow.  I'm too tired to start it.  Right now everyone is recruited and loyal except Legion.

Went to look for some Krogan scouts and we found our baby Krogan all grown up and fighting like the badass he is! Aww.. mommy Battlemaster is so proud of you! Later, Liara made some time capsules and Revka let her do whatever she want and time capsules became Liara's diaries. Then we went to Tuchanka and found a short Reaper waiting for them at the Shroud. Dude, didn't you want to make all Krogan as mixed Reaper Brutes and Krogan were immune to toxic and radioactive atmosphere.. seriously.... And Revka got roped into Wrex's, Mordin's and Eve's Operation Krogan Women Liberation Front. Revka fully endorse it but died once when she got flattened by the apparently Chibi-Reaper. Mordin was able to use Eve's tissues to create cure in short CSI-cutscene-time and then sacrificed himself. Revka got another set of oily soury note nightmares with Ashley and Mordin in it and she cried like a baby in the bathroom. Cerberus have a bright idea to attack the Citadel because the Reapers can't do it themselves. Colonel Tigh got shot and still didn't get an eye patch. Thane have a bright idea to run straight into Leng Chai's sword. Kaidan nearly got himself killed by Garrus but fortunately Rev didn't have to do anything because lover boy hated Udina more. Thane died without telling Revka what 'Siha' means but at least he got a hero's death.

 

Then Kaidan ambushed her at the docks and you know what Rev do after she let him into her team and saw this?

Revka did spend the three years without a nice young man warming her bed as Aria said it quaintly. But I headcanon it by making these two sleep together at some point between Arrival and ME3 which made sense why they're being super awkward and Kaidan kept giving her the longing looks.

Went to Illium today with Miranda and Jack to help Miranda with her sister. Helped a quarian slave in the bar.

Then we met with Lanteia and had a talk about Niket, an old friend of Miranda who she apparently trusted a lot.

Arrived at the cargo terminal and of course we were attacked by mercs. Killed a lot of them in the process of reaching our destination. Somewhere along the way Miranda tells me that she actually took Oriana when she was a baby.

In the end we find Niket and Enyala, and Miranda can't believe that Niket sold her out. She tried to shoot him but I interrupted her because I believe she'd regret it, just to see him being gunned down by Enyala. We fought Enyala and the other mercs and got out of there.

Back on Illium we saw Oriana and I encouraged Miranda to go talk to her. Miranda is grateful I helped her and she and I are set on a path where trust and friendship come into play.

Also returned the lost locket one asari on Illium was looking for.

Went to find the ship of Jacob's father next. Together with Miranda and Jacob I explored the Gernsback wreckage area and learn that eating local food will mess with your mind, and how the beacon wasn't activated until weeks ago, even though the ship crashed a long time ago. We met a crazy-talking survivor and I save her when we were shot at by hunters. After a bit more killing we stumbled upon a camp with female survivors. They were scared of Jacob's face, which doesn't bode too well for Jacob's father.

Moving further on Ronald Taylor is communicating that his people turned against him. Shot our way through to him, stopped a YMIR too, and reached Jacob's father afterwards. He seems to think we're here to rescue him and he doesn't even pay attention to Jacob at first, but then I introduce myself and Jacob. Ronald definitely didn't expect that. They had their talk and I decided that Ronald will pay for what he did. I let him get arrested by the Alliance.

Back on the Normandy Jacob learned that Miranda was the one who forwarded the distress call to him. Jacob and I had a short talk about Miranda and after making sure he was OK I left and went to see Tali.

She's scared because she's been acused of treason by the Admiralty Board. Of course I'll help my old friend to get this thing out of the way.

I'm spending the time building my Galactic Readiness up to 100%, then I'm going to block Mass Effect 3 in my firewall and keep it there.

Renegade playthrough  continued on insanity...

 

Shepard landed on Therum so he can finally meet Benezia's daughter. Used the Mako to blast though the Geth and then went on foot towards the ruins. Tali used her maxed out AI hack ability and Shepard used his maxed out singularity ability against the Geth ground troops and the fights went smoothly. Eventually, Shepard met Liara and she thought that Shepard was a hallucination . Liara told this hallucination what happened and she said that she used a field on herself. However, she said she is trapped and needs help. Shepard saved her and she finally believes that he is real. Everyone needed to escape as the area was falling apart but a Krogan force obstructed them. Shepard defeated the Krogan and the Geth but Liara didn't help. She just stood in the middle of the battle doing nothing . The Prothean ruins ended up being destroyed and everyone returned to the Normandy. Shepard briefed Liara about the beacons, Sovereign and the Cipher and she became overwhelmed with the information overload. Shepard told her "to quit whining or I drop your ass back in the Volcano!" . Liara then joined her minds with Shepard's.

 

It was revealed that the conduit is on Ilos and Shepard needed to go back to the Citadel to talk with the Council. The Council suggested a blockade and the Normandy was grounded. While on the Citadel, Shepard had the opportunity to complete some more side-missions. He spoke with Nassana to let her know about her sister. Nassana tried to bribe Shepard with credits but he managed to intimidate into getting more. On the way to flux and there was a Terra Firma rally and Shepard told the party that he supports them in front of Wrex and Garrus  . Shepard also met Elias Keeler and he wanted Shepard to go collect a performance enhancing drug. Shepard returned with a depressant to teach him a lesson.

 

Shepard met Anderson in Flux and they came up with a plan to escape the Citadel to go to Ilos. Shepard told Anderson to go to the Citadel Control to unlock the Normandy. Anderson did this and became a criminal as he assaulted an officer. Anderson also got shot for his trouble.

 

Before committing to the final mission of Ilos, Shepard went around the universe to collect all Metals, Gasses, ID Tags, Prothean data, Turian Insignias, Matriarch Writing etc. Shepard was dedicated in collecting these resources and even went up a sheer cliff face in the Mako just to get a polonium metal deposit. Eventually everything is collected and the Ilos mission was started.

 

Shepard has just touched down on Ilos with the Mako.

So, Traynor tried to seduce Revka but she was left with a broken heart because Revvie is clueless as usual. Besides, Rev is a shameless flirt with everyone including James and Joker but the only fraternization rule she wanted to break was for the biotic sex god downstairs. Of course, he's a badass Spectre now, with perks. Then there's a letter from Hackett about a Prothean artifact on Eden Prime. Kaidan want to come along and Rev had a talk about her old home on Mindoir and he comforted her like a sweetheart he is... if only he would stop distracting her with those sexy stares and grunts. Anyway, Liara got herself a real life Prothean and now Feron's chances with the Shadow Broker was reduced to a nil.

Then we went to a relay system with a weird name and we got Avernus, Loghain and Morrigan in the same room. Everyone were exactly like their old charming selves. Kaidan wanted to tag along with the Dreadnought team because badass Spectres don't sit around in the ship and he's all for flirting with the Commander as they used to in ME1. Rev tried not to puke while walking through the docking tube and we found Legion... in reaper bondage. But the quarians decide to blow up the ship with everyone still inside, Legion steal a fighter jet and Rev had to sit between Kaidan's legs but she had to slap his wandering hands several times because Tali kept giving them the disapproving looks. 
Then, we went to Gellix and found Jacob instead.. and he's hooking up with FemHawke. awwww....

Sabrina got the IFF earlier today.  Activated Legion.  Then I took a nap.  While I was napping I downloaded the Arrival DLC and when I started up again there was Admiral Hackett.  Sabrina and I had a crush on his voice in ME.  Wow he's beaten up.  I am 47 and love the old guys, so nothing changed, but really?  I'm on a Cerberus ship looking for the collectors and you want me to go out and find Amanda alone?  When did I become your servant?  What have you done for me lately?  Now I'll have that Janet Jackson song stuck in my head. 

 

So now Sabrina is on the Heretic Station with Garrus and Legion, ignoring Amanda's plight for now.  As suggested to someone else I intend to wait til after the Suicide Mission to do it and then I'll move on to me3, probably hate it at first and go all the way back to ME.  The first time I played ME2 was with my first Shepard, Rosanna. I got scared and made Sabrina in ME and took her through 2 tours before moving back on to me2.

Evil, evil Shep

Just as I was about to go help Zaaed, the Illusive Man calls to have a chat in the comm room. He wants me to investigate a disabled Collector ship that was discovered due to a turian distress call. Sounds fishy, but I'll bite.
Time to investigate the vessel, so Miranda, Tali and I boarded the ship. This place is giving me the creeps. On top of that it seems to be the same vessel we encountered on Horizon.

We stumbled upon a pile of dead bodies. Test subjects, most likely. A bit ahead we found a terminal, EDI analyzed some data and found out that the Collectors share the same DNA as the Protheans! So... the Collectors were Protheans once, and now they help the Reapers collecting humans.
At some point Joker told us that he and EDI found out that this is also the same vessel that shot down the Normandy. Now it's personal!
We proceeded until we found a console. Of course accessing it led to a trap.
While killing off Collectors and Harbi again, EDI tried her best to reestablish a connection so we can get out of here.
Afterwards EDI tells us the distress call contained an error that clearly shows it's not turian. She's sure the Illusive Men knew.
So that SOB sent us to the vessel deliberately! Tali is outraged, as am I, but Miranda firmly believes that there must be an explanation.
Have you learned nothing from Niket, Miranda?
We had to hurry out of that place and killed more and more Collectors on our way, using up almost all ammo I had.
Finally we made it to the Normandy and made our escape just in time before the Collector vessel powered up again.
I took it out on the Illusive Man and responded in the most p*ssed ways. However, it was necessary what we did on that vessel, I give him that.
TIM also told me we need to find something called Reaper IFF to let us tackle the Omega 4 Relay. Cerberus found a derelict Reaper where we can find one.
I talk to Miranda, Jacob and Mordin about our plans and decide it is still necessary to build up our team.
 

 

I really wanted to do Jack's Loyalty mission to get her Warp Ammo ability, but since there was no way out of that mission, I thought that Tali's Drone would be valuable to distract Collectors. I'm not sure it would've been easier with Warp Ammo, this mission sure was a pain. I used up all my medi-gel and died a couple times. I'm looking forward to a few easier Loyalty missions.

Sabrina 2 made it to the end with everyone surviving again.  Kasumi did tech, Garrus led first, Miranda second, Mordin escorted the team, Samara did Biotics and was with Sabrina and Garrus at the end.  This time Sabrina did NOT give the IM what he wanted and he was mad.  Oh well.  I felt dirty after my first play with Sabrina 1 when she gave him that and he rubbed his hands together with glee and cackled.  Ugh.  I understand that it may come back to bite me in ME3, but oh well.

 

Going to do Arrival I think and then tomorrow start up with ME3 at least until I get scared.
