Just finished ME1 last night. The end is as good as i remembered. Crash landing the Mako through the conduit onto the citadel is a moment i'll never forget in terms of sheer awesomeness. After playing through from Virmire straight to Ilos and the end i'm also intrigued and bemused as to whether no one in the ME3 development looked at the earlier reaper portrayal before their embarrassing efforts at the end of ME3.

Sabrina 2 did the Arrival DLC.  Hmmm.  Grumble Grumble.  I had debated about not doing it, but felt guilty about Admiral Hackett, so felt compelled.   Bahahaha in a different world I would love to blow up so many Batarians, but I understand the implications.  It was cool to meet Admiral Hackett in person.  

 

Going to put in ME3 now.  First time jitters.

Today : Revka entered The Grid alone without a cameo from Daft Punk. Kaidan watch over her like a Prince Charming... oh wait, she IS a Disney Princess. Some days after they rescued Admiral Loghain, Kaidan complained that Rev got out of the bed too early and he's still horny (I swear its for REAL jeez.. these two...).

Revka and Legion started an operation to liberate Geth but found a reaper instead. Revka run around trying not to get hit by its giant laser and she became an inspiration to a soon-to-be-popular Shepard Pong-style game. 

Then she went back to Tuchanka to rescue the distressed Primarch's son only to watch him die after diffusing a giant bomb. Angsty Revka and Kaidan talking about Ashley. Angsty Samara and her daughter.

I'm currently in the middle of a new playthrough of ME1 and hope that I'll be able to make it through the entire series again this time. I haven't played ME3's Singleplayer since my first playthrough in 2012 and now that I'm kinda over my disappointment with the game, I'll hopefully get this Shepard through all the games

 

Her name's Reyes Shepard and she has the Colonist background and the Ruthless reputation. Difficulty is Insanity, she's a soldier and her character is somewhere in the Renegon spectrum.

 

Today I landed on Feros, chose Kaidan and Garrus as my Squad. Did all the sidequests in Zhu's Hope, confronted Faidan about the colonists' weird behavior and then went on to clear the Highway of Geth and make my way to the ExoGeni Headquarters. I actually managed to finish all the enemies on foot without dying even once this time and met Lizbeth Baynham in the end who told me about the Thorian. Not much progress, but I only got to play 1h.

Knocked out a bunch of missions with my Bulletless Soldier since they were quick:

1. N7: Cerberus Fighter Base

2. N7: Cerberus Lab

3. N7: Cerberus Abductions

4. N7: Communications Hub

5. N7: Fuel Reactors

6. Armax Arena: Prothean Challenge (Did not do it with the other challenges since I picked up Javik much later.)

 

Then I turned in the rest of the fetch quests.

 

All that is left is the Omega DLC, a few more meet-ups on the Silver Sun Strip, a big party, then the final missions.

 

Not sure if I want to knock out the Omega DLC this week or wait until the weekend.

Council: Shepard you're now a spectre. Remember you're primary goal is to find information leading to the whereabouts of this video game. Use whatever means to stop Saren.

me: I will. I'll also checkout this Benezia and see what she knows. See ya around

Went to beautiful Zorya to help Zaaed finish the job he took before Cerberus hired him, liberating a refinery from the Blue Suns.

We learned that Zaaed has some beef with an old aquaintance of his, Vido. They started the Blue Suns 20 years ago, but it fell apart when Vido betrayed Zaaed. He's burning for revenge ever since.

So naturally it didn't sit too well with him when I decided we save the workers and the refinery, and not pursue Vido.

Zaaed agreed to help, but my decision comes to bite me in the ass. Once we fought our way through we see Vido taking off in a gunship and Zaaed shot at him in rage. Too bad his heat sink ignited some fuel and he's being trapped unter some rubble after an explosion. I helped him out, but I did not gain his full loyalty. Shouldn't have been so Renegade-y, eh

 

Then it was time to help Kasumi with Donovan Hock and the retrieval of her dead partner's graybox.
The heist is on and Solomon Gunn is all dressed up for the party. Kasumi and I brought a Saren statue as a gift, with our weapons inside.

Kasumi was denied entrance, but we kept radio contact. Since we needed to enter the vault, we do some sneaking around, and finally gained access to it. We took our weapons from the Saren statue right next to the entrance and made our way in. Kasumi had a lot to say about the objects Hock had gathered, including the head of Lady Liberty and... an ogre statue. Interesting!

We took the graybox and of course Hock was expecting us. I destroyed one of his precious objects to shut him up. He sent some of his people and we kill them off, then we need to find our way out. So we fought our way through, killing off his people, until arriving at a landing platform. Hock appeared in a gunship. After a while we took more of his people and finally him down, and we take the shuttle to head back to the Normandy.

Kasumi examined the graybox and gets access to the memories of Keiji. He wants the graybox to be destroyed. I see she's struggling and offer to destroy the graybox for her. She agrees.

 

I love Kasumi's loyalty mission. I've always liked sneaky missions, it's the same for the casino part in the Citadel DLC, so much fun!

Kaidan's romance is locked in from ME.    Hopeless.   Is it that you have to keep clicking on him? Am getting there with my new Sheps.

Shepard can start new ME3 romance with Traynor, Diana and Liara so you'll need to lock-in Kaidan romance again at the cafe. Preferable before you start the Rannoch missions.

The Normandy went back to Citadel and Revka meet up with the Pirate Queen who gave Rev her a copy of Mass Effect : Invasion. Later, they plotted to retake Omega from the annoying Russian general but the Queen wanted Revka alone for Omega mission. Revka send the Normandy to be retrofitted again and authorize everyone to have their shore leave only to secretly go to the rendezvous point with Cortez. Because everyone don't like the idea of Shepard having solo missions... remember the last time she blew up a relay?

Suddenly, Shepard got roped into another suicide mission. Now she knows exactly how Kasumi feels. 

and Omega mission is soooo tiring... gaaah.. and screenies of these trigger-happy ladies. This DLC always made me feel better. I love Aria T'Loak...  Bioware, gimme more Trinity.

me: Avoid shooting the colonists. Kill the pukers. Being slimed is not going to happen to me

 

me: Wow. That's one big plant. I wonder what fertilizer it used to get that big

Ashley: It just gave birth to an asari

me: I guess we now know how the asari reproduce. Kill the plant-made-asari, the pukers and this plant.

 

Shiala: Thanks for freeing me. I knew Saren was a back stabber.

me: But why did he need the Thorian?

Shiala: Saren knows you're looking for a video game. He believes the Thorain can help explain what he saw from the beacon on Eden Prime. I gave him the cipher to understand the beacon

me: Give it to me. I can't have Saren get that video game. 

Shiala: I will stay here and help the colonists

me: Fine. Lets go people. We have a video game to find

Sadly I didn't get an achievement for it . Guess I won't be doing much in the ME trilogy until I figure out how to fix this...

While we were grounded on the Citadel (thanks, Council ),Tali and Ashley chatted about women in the military. Tali said quarians don’t have the luxury of sexism, since everyone needs to pitch in. Ashley replied “Sounds nice, but I wouldn’t like the suits.” Jeez Ash, you and Shepard are perfect for each other. I’m surprised you can talk with your foot so far into your mouth. 

 

Shepard’s team wasn’t stuck on the Citadel for long, since Anderson punched Udina’s face until we were allowed to leave. While they were on route to Ilos, Ashley came into Shep’s quarters, quoting poetry. It seemed important to her, but Shep didn’t understand a word. He just nodded, and then Ashley suggested they do unspeakable things. Since they might all die fighting Saren, seems like a good idea to go out with a bang. 

 

Ilos was a creepy place, and none of them wanted to be there. It’s like visiting a planet-sized graveyard. Not helped by the tentacle-face statues. Are those supposed to be Protheans? Shep feels like their eyes are following him. And they don’t even have eyes.

It turns out that feeling was because a VI was watching them. It was pretty friendly – 50,000 years of loneliness will do that to you. Shepard drove hectically to the Conduit, proving to anyone watching that he does not drive better under pressure.

 

Shep tried to take the quick route up the Citadel, but Saren predictably stopped the elevator/lift halfway. Shepard said “Suit up, we’re going outside!”

Tali: 

They worked their way up the Citadel pretty quickly, but got entrenched at a stretch with heavy turrets. Shep spent the next few minutes playing peek-a-boo with rockets while Ashley went all Jenkins on them.

 

When they finally confronted Saren, Shep was able to talk him into killing himself. And people say Shepard doesn’t have a way with words! Joker got in touch and got told to hold back. Sure, the Council's important for the future of galactic stability. But here and now, there’s Sovereign and a geth fleet! If the Council wanted to not die, they should’ve prepared better, like Shepard suggested. 

After it was all said and done, Udina started to get a little mwah-ha-ha creepy about this ‘human council’ idea. Shep could envisage him pre-ordering a white cat and swivel chair. So, he voted for Anderson to be the big shot, and surprisingly, Udina supported it. 

ME1 is now complete! Onto ME2!

I've been struggling with ME3.  New game, new way to play.  Where's my map?  No map, okay, where's the arrow?  NO ARROW??  I get lost at the doctor's office so this makes a challenge for me.   it's rather traumatizing with all the reapers.  Ugh and that kid.  Anderson bitching at me cuz I can't shoot straight all of a sudden.  And my hair?  I had to tweak it a bit.  Sabrina was platinum blonde in ME, still blonde, but a little greasy looking in ME2, and in ME3 she was hardly blonde at all.  I adjusted for more blonde and a little longer. 

 

So Sabrina went to Mars and got Liara, then went to the Citadel and visited comatose Kaidan and punched the reporter before I realized she shouldn't do that.   Dr. Michel is a looker.  Bailey is adorable as ever.  I love his VA.  Went back to ship, ran around and reminisced, wondered where the hamster and fish went, new music, bleh. Went to get the Turian Primarch, well Hello, Garrus!!  Glad to see new armor for him.  

 

Back to Normandy then Samantha speaks up about Grissom so Sabrina is there now, busting those kids out.  Jack punched her and called her the queen of the girl scouts, a nickname that does seem appropriate.  Hello Jack, though, Sabrina never trusted Cerberus.  As Dr. Chakwas stated we used their resources.  Sabrina didn't let him keep the thing he wanted at the end.  Hmph.

Renegade  John Shepard on insanity...

 

Started on Ilos with Tali and Liara and this is Liara's first official mission. Liara has basically been pushed in the deep end because she only has lv 1 armour equipped . This armour was strengthened by lv 9 energy plating and she will need to hope for the best. The team encountered a couple of armatures and Tali tried to hack them but she was unsuccessful (despite having a maxed AI Hack ability and Geth knowledge). Shepard managed to hack these machine remotely through a terminal. Later on they encountered a Geth Prime and Tali couldn't even hack it so Shepard was secretly disappointed.

 

Liara was very distracted by all the Prothean surroundings despite all the Geth fire so she has an uncanny ability to block things out. Spoke to Vigil who explained that the Citadel is a trap because it is a Mass Relay to Dark Space. The Conduit is a back door to get on the Citadel from Ilos so Shepard could've just waited on the Citadel instead of going to Ilos in the first place . Liara wanted to continue to talk to Vigil but Shepard 'persuaded' her to continue as he said "we're off to save the galaxy and you want to play Q&A with a hologram!". Shepard then drove the Mako erratically to the Conduit and went by most of the Geth (not cowardly, the excuse was to pursue Saren).

 

Shepard ended up on the Citadel to pursue Saren and stop Sovereign. The enemies were easy to dispatch because Shepard and Liara used their biotic abilities to lift them into oblivion. Eventually, Shepard caught up to Saren and intimidated him to shoot himself. Shepard told Tali to go and make sure he is dead so Tali shot him in the face. Sovereign took control of Saren's body and a fight ensued. Liara ended up doing the killing blow. Liara has just joined the team and ends up delivering the killing blow to save the galaxy and therefore gets the glory (That's Shepard's job! ). A conversation about the fate of the council occurred and unexpectedly Tali was happy for the Council to die. Shepard agreed and all the fire power was focused on Sovereign. Anderson was appointed the first human Councillor because Shepard didn't want Udina to have any more power after he grounded the Normandy.

 

Shepard is a pure renegade with no paragon points whatsoever. He failed in his mission to get on the galaxy rich list as his net worth amounted to 5 million (so I doubt he scratched the surface)

 

This means that ME1 is complete. I haven't played ME1 in awhile and I do prefer this ending in the Trilogy. Next stop Mass Effect 2 because Shepard needs to prepare against the Reapers.

Today I took Jack and Miranda to Pragia to blow up the facility where Jack was held and tortured as a kid.

It was a creepy abandoned place and it rained a lot. Took care of a few varren who came at us. We learned that Cerberus used to put up fights between the kids. This is some new kind of cruel.

We stumbled upon a dead varren that was killed rather shortly ago. So we weren't alone.

Not 2 minutes later we fought a bunch of Blood Packs. We pressed on to find a krogan called Kureck, who is talking to a guy called Aresh over the radio. The krogan and his merc gang tried to kill us, but failed rather quick. Afterwards we went to find this Aresh guy and found him in Jack's old cell.

Seems he also was here as a kid. And now he wants to restart the facility because he thinks all these experiments on the kids must've meant something. Jack pulled out her gun. I ordered her to let him go and interrupted her so he can leave.

I gave Jack a few moments to walk and talk with her about some things in her cell.

Soon we were back on the shuttle and Jack played with the trigger, before eventually blowing up the facility.

 

Back on the Normandy I was called by Joker, Miranda and Jack are in a huge catfight. Jack can't believe that Miranda is still denying that what Cerberus did to her was wrong. I took Jack's side and thus lost Miranda's loyalty. Well that brings us back to step 1. She's stubborn and doesn't wanna talk about the whole situation. Whatever, Miranda. I'm tired of you still defending Cerberus after all you've seen.

I go to talk to Jack and she thanks me for letting her do this thing on Pragia.

Ashley: We should kill her.

Kaidan: I would let her go

me: If I let you go, will go to the Citadel and sing on stage for everyone to hear?

Queen: I will try. I would need time to come up with some new songs.

me: No problem. I'll see you on the Citadel.

 

Council: You did WHAT?

me: Its true. The Rachni Queen will be at the Citadel to perform a few songs for everyone.

council: This is outrageous. The people will not tolerate this.

me: Let them be the judge of that councilor. I have to go.

 

Conrad: Is that you. Commander Shepard? Wow. You're very beautiful.

me: You see Ashley. This is what you call a male with class. 

Conrad: I'm Conrad Verner. Your number one fan.

me: That's cool. I have a fan. What can I do for you Conrad?
