A great deal for PC players. Get a 2K game and get Spec Ops: The Line for free. Given the quality of their games and awesomeness of Spec Ops: The Line, I highly recommend it.

Linda Shepard - Part 2 - Continuation of the Search for the Mass Effect game

me: How did you get my body?

Miranda: ..........

me:Why did you bring me back to life?

Miranda: The TIM can answer any question you have.

me: Why can't you answer them?

Miranda: I'm sure the TIM will have the answers you want

me: Whatever.

me: Why'd you do it?

TIM: The reapers are back and you're the only one who can defeat them.

me: Really? I'm no different than the next person

TIM: You're unique. You have the ability to get things done.

me: So tell me. How did you get my body or who gave it to you?

TIM: ........

me: Figures. Is everything real? Are there any parts I'm missing?

TIM  We wanted you the same way when you defeated Sovereign.

me: Can I have children?

TIM: .........

me: I was led to believe you would give me answers. I guess that's the Cerberus motto. Don't say anything.

TIM: ......

me: I will help fine the missing colonists, but I won't do it for you. One last thing. What about the device?

TIM: I have no idea about any device.

me: You know what? That's about the most truthful answer I've gotten since I woke up

Joker: Hey Commander? You got a new ship.

me: Nice. Lets go recruit some squadmates to deal with the collectors.

Joker: Yes ma'am

Bulletless Soldier continued where she left off on Omega:

1. Aria and I fought our way through Cerberus mechs and goons and found the Talon leader. Turns out it was Nyreen. I would say I was surprised, but considering I fought my clone not too long ago... Anyway, we managed to recruit the Talons to our side. Nyreen was an easy sell and Aria knows how to recruit the citizens of Omega for war.

2. Along with Nyreen, Aria and I made our way through Omega's mines on our way to a reactor to shut down the force fields all over Omega. Ran into a few Adjutants long the way. Nyreen was scared of them, but they didn't bother me or Aria at all. In fact, they went down rather easily. Cerberus squads put up a tougher fight than those things. I fail to see what's so scary about them.

Turns out Petrovsky was just leading us into a trap. That was bad, but Aria is badass. She biotically punched a whole in the force field wall to let me through so I could get to the reactor. I tried to rerouting the power away from the force fields to saved civilian lives, but I suck at tech and had to overload the reactor to save Aria and Nyreen. Aria was not happy I didn't overload it immediately, but Nyreen was glad that I at least tried to reroute the power.

3. Aria and I made our way to Afterlife, but we had to take a detour to disable some bombs first. I managed to disable them with plenty of time left to spare, then we made our way to Afterlife. Nyreen ignored the plan and went ahead of us. She made it to Afterlife in time to see Adjutants attacking some civilians. She took some grenades and managed to kill the Adjutants, sacrificing herself in the process. It was an act that some would describe as brave, but not me. I can only describe it as "stupid".

Nyreen's death made Aria lose control and run headlong into an obvious trap by Petrovsky. After gloating, Petrovsky unleashed more Adjutants and Cerberus goons on me. It took a lot of running, but I managed to free Aria and together we beat the ever-living tar out of Petrovsky's attack squad.

Defeated, Petrovsky surrendered. Then Aria choked him out. I thought about stopping her, but what would be the point. Petrovsky is too diabolical to let live. And so what about his intel on The Illusive Man? We attack Cerberus Headquarters in less than two days time; that intel is useless.

Aria kissed me. Garrus would be jealous, but I am not telling him about it, and Aria knows how to keep a secret.

Back to Normandy for little more shore leave before we hit Cerberus HQ. Garrus has asked me to meet him at the bar, and then we throw one hell of a party.

Anderson: Welcome to the living

me: Did the Alliance make any effort to confirm my death?

Anderson: ...We thought you were dead

me: That means no. Did you care? Has the Alliance located the SR1?

Anderson: Of course I care and no the Alliance haven't found the SR1

me: WHAT? How long does it take? Nevermind. The excuses I've heard so far would just upset me even more. Any word on the reapers?

Anderson: No one believes they exist.

me: Which translate to everyone turned their back to the threat

Udina: Ah Shepard. Anderson leave us.

me: How's it going Udina?

Udina: I should be asking you that question. Since you died, no new details have been revealed to the location of the video game. If the reapers are the guardians, then they are the only ones that know the whereabouts of the game.

me: At the moment I have no idea either since I'm going after the collectors.

Udina: Does Cerberus know about the game?

me: As far as I know they don't. The only ones are you, Anderson, Ashley and me.

Udina: Ok. Keep me updated if you find any new information. Good day Shepard

Kasumi: You look good Ms. Gunn

me: Of course I do. According to my #1 fan, I'm beautiful. I'm going to walk around.

me: Wow! Hock has some nice stuff.

Kasumi: Did I see you give a guy a lap dance?

me: You did. He gave me 10 000 credits. Did you see what his wife did to him?

Kasumi: No. Oh tell me what happened.

me: Lets just say he won't be having fun anytime soon.

me: Are you going to destroy the greybox?

Kasumi: I can't.

me: Ok.

Dare Shepard walked around The Citadel today.

As I explored and eavesdropped, I discovered a few needs of the populace and made some notes on my omni tool to find items that would make the Citadel more secure and help out with the war. In the Commons, several people stopped me wanting my autograph and pictures taken with the disgraced famous/infamous Commander Shepard. One human teenager fainted upon seeing me. Just weird...

Upstairs, I visited with the soon to be released Spectre Alenko at Huerta Memorial Hospital. The stench of hospitals never agreed with me, so I didn't stay long... much to Kaidan's disappointment. As I left Kaidan's room, I  glanced back at him. His eyes were glued on my behind. Some things never change.

Thane was oddly punching the air in the lobby.I stopped to ask why? Turns out he really is dying from an incurable disease, but wanted a quick workout since he was incredibly bored between naps and lunch. Gave Thane a hug. So sad.

As I left, I overheard a conversation between two Asari.  One mentioned that she'd shot a farm girl named Hilary. Curious.

On the elevator I listened to Kasumi's voice. Who knew a gifted thief would moonlight as a voice over actress for The Citadel elevator company?

Kicked a keeper out of my way as I approached the Normandy. It followed me all the way to my airlock, but I stayed a few steps ahead of it.

Got up to my cabin, showered and ordered chow from the galley. It was yeoman Vaz's turn to cook. Some type of mystery protein. Spent the evening doing performance reviews and "paperwork" until 2330. Up at 0400. The Normandy is off to look for Garneu next. We leave dock at 0600 sharp. Crew better be alert for this mission. Who knows what we'll run into.

Bulletless Soldier Shepard threw a huge party for the surviving squadmates of the Normandy (Jenkins and Mordin will be missed). The highlights:

 - Grunt and Wrex headbutted each other and would have fought if Shepard hadn't intervened. Probably a good thing, because cleaning up the stain that used to be called Grunt would likely be very difficult and time consuming.

 - Wrex, Zaeed, and Javik turned the bar into a shooting range. (Come on guys, that alcohol was expensive...)

 - Grunt threw up in the bathroom.

Soon we hit Cerberus HQ then go liberate Earth and the rest of the galaxy. I probably would have done that by now if I did not have a headache and an upset stomach. A small nap seems to have cured my ailment so I can do that later tonight.

Little Sophia born 16:58 GMT.

Congratulations on the new little person in your life!  :)

Logan Shepard is now onto ME2!
His happy tour of [insert solar system] was interrupted when the Normandy started getting attacked by a ship that looks like a big rock. Or maybe a dusty potato. Shep ensured everyone was evacuated, but lost his patience with Joker. Why are you trying to fly half a ship? He shoved Joker into a shuttle, before getting blasted out to space and certain death. What a way to start the day!

Shep woke in a lab. His face felt like mincemeat. A woman was shouting commands through a radio, so Shep decided to go with it. He got completely distracted while escaping, watching some huge robot blast someone to pieces with heavy guns. Whoa. :o Technology has really advanced! How long was he out? Did geth take over the galaxy and build robot minions to enslave us all? The disembodied voice got annoyed at all the dawdling, so Shepard pressed on.

He met up with a guy in a catsuit, who was a surprisingly good fighter, and not a catwalk model. It turns out Shep’s new friend is working for Cerberus. Great. Shep hasn’t forgotten what they did to Kahoku. Or Toombs. He’s going to keep both eyes on this Jacob. They eventually met up with the voice – Miranda – who shot a guy point blank in the face. She’s wearing a catsuit too. They ended up on some little station and Shepard was introduced to The Illusive Man. The guy had glowing eyes, so Shep kept one hand on his gun, just in case Timmy went all Saren on him. He reluctantly signed onto the Cerberus job, and went to speak to his new team.

Miranda was unsociable, so Shepard said “Are you always this b*tchy, or is it just me?” Way to make friends there, Shep. Jacob was more informative, but asked if Shepard trusts him. Trust you? Shep just met you five minutes ago, along with another guy who apparently wanted to kill everyone! So... no.

Freedom’s Progress was a bit of a dump. Apparently the progress of freedom involves living in tiny containers. Mindoir was much better. Before all the killing and slaving and burning, of course. They ran into a group of quarians, led by Tali. ^_^ Shepard was delighted to see her, though he noticed her team need to be keelhauled. No way he’d tolerate all that insubordination. Silly quarians got themselves killed by a big robot. So did Miranda and Jacob. That’s what you get for wearing latex into combat!

After finishing the mech by himself, Shep went in to talk to Veetor. The guy was clearly traumatised, so Shepard fired his gun near Veetor’s head. :pinched: Veetor gave them all the info he had, then Tali showed up to grab him before Miranda could. Shepard sided with his old friend. Like he’s going to let Cerberus do a Kahoku on this guy. Sadly, Tali didn’t want to join, so it’s just him and the Cerberus chuckleheads.

Continuing my first play of ME3, Sabrina helped Aria reclaim Omega last night.  Ugh.  I was sure I was not going to get through the final battle but hubby said nothing was impossible and I believed him and did it.  I'm even playing on casual, people.  In the end running and the cloak helped me.  Alas Aria did not kiss Sabrina.

Today we met up with Jacob and wow, I wanted to play DA2 when I heard Hawke's voice come out of Dr. Cole's mouth.  Funny though, that I don't associate that version of the voice with DA2, but with DAI.  My Hawke's sounded smarter than that.

Right now we are on the geth dreadnought thing.  Those Quarians, I swear.   Sabrina has Kaidan and Tali with her.    Sabrina romanced Thane and visited him in the hospital and then was at his bedside when he died.  Kaidan shows up, they chat at the citadel and now they are together.  I wish she had waited for Garrus, because his scene with the top of the citadel made me love him even more.   Stupid James Vega, unromanceable.

Luna Shepard finished my most hated mission in ME3 - Geth Fighter Squadrons. It's especially annoying with Geth VI. -_-

She also finished Priority Rannoch about 5 times and each time something screwed up the recording. Needless to say I got extremely annoyed and left that mission to be completed later :D

How do I kill the Shadow Broker?

General strategy, try to stagger him with powers (most powers will do) so he will stagger back and lift his shield out of the way. Either your own powers or Liara's powers will do.

If you can, position Liara in one spot and try to flank him so that he is between you and Liara. Try to move farther away than Liara so he turns his back to you to focus on her. This will give you plenty of Shadow Broker to shoot at.

I see that you are a Vanguard. I'll see if I can dig up some Vanguard videos to show you how other people did it.

Will have to finish my Bulletless Soldier run tomorrow. While I was processing a video, I picked up Dominic Shepard (Vanguard) where I last left him on Mars. Let's see;

1. He chased down a robot.

2. The robot injured Ashley.

3. He shot the stupid robot.

4. Met the council, asking for help. Went as expected.

5. Had a bad dream.

6. Talked to a bunch of people on the Normandy. Regretted quitting Cerberus and handing himself into the Alliance. Why does the Alliance like ships with dark interiors?

7. Flew around the galaxy scanning for stuff. Found a bunch of credits and a couple of artifacts that some people may find of interest.

8. Changed the color of his armor. Wished he had Cerberus Trooper armor since that would look sweet on him. Changed is "casual" clothes into an official-looking Alliance uniform.

9. Preparing to land on Menae to rescue some Turian dude.

Also, Dominic Shepard regrets saving Ashley in ME1. "All biotics explode now? Darn it, why did I have to rescue boobs I mean Ash?"

Today I delivered some packages to a salarian called Ish.

Then I took Thane to the Citadel to go look for his son Kolyat. Captain Bailey was happy to help out once again and sent us to talk to a local criminal called Mouse. We located him and it turned out that he's an old aquaintance of Thane. I kindly encouraged Mouse to tell us who hired Kolyat and assured him we would not rat him out. We got a name: Elias Kelham. And I got myself a Shepard VI - not too bad!

Back at C-Sec there was a little problem as Bailey and Kelham have some kind of deal, but Bailey brought Kelham in a room for us anyway. Since our friendly chat didn't get us anywhere, my only threat at the end made him give up Kolyat's target, Joram Talid, a turian anti-human politician. Now that we know that we made our plans. I went up along the catwalk, updating Thane about the target while he stayed out of sight. Followed Talid, got past a boy on the catwalk and eventually Kolyat showed up. Thane and I stopped him and Talid is free to go. Thane and Kolyat had a little family talk and Bailey granted them more privacy. I really like this guy!

Afterwards I took Tali and Miranda to the Migrant Fleet to face Tali's charges. She was accused of smuggling active geth to the fleet, has been stripped of her ship's name and her father is believed to be dead on another fleet ship. Harsh day for my friend. Since she's "vas Normandy" now and I'm her captain I spoke on her defense and we were allowed to investigate the ship with the activated geth, the Alarei. We talked to some Admirals and met Kal'Reegar and Veetor again, good to see those guys.

On board the Alarei Miranda had to overload a lot, and Tali and I had to constantly hack and distract geth in order to survive this place. We learned that Tali's father and his team were actually building geth from the parts that Tali sent him. Soon enough we found Tali's father dead on the floor and I comfort and hug my emotional friend. We pressed on to find the hub which her father mentioned in a message left for Tali and fought two Geth Troopers, a Geth Hunter and a Geth Prime.

We shut down the remaining geth via a console and found evidence that Tali's father activated the geth to test weapons on them in order to have a chance to retake the quarian homeworld. Tali pleads me to not reveal this during the last part of the trial.

I kept my promise to lie about the evidence and Tali is now exiled. But she belongs to my crew and I tell her I'm glad to have her.

We returned to the Normandy and I learned more about Thane's past, and Tali mentioned that her exile might not be final, if we find anything useful on our mission.

Before leaving for Tuchanka, I scanned some planets and went to the Citadel to give some asari forged IDs I found, so they can board a ship to Thessia.

On Tuchanka I met my old buddy, now "Urdnot" Wrex, and he's very happy to see me. I learned about his plans to keep clans together, which impresses me, and eventually asked him what's wrong with Grunt. We are told to go see the Shaman about the Rite of Passage, making Grunt an adult.

But before seeing the Shaman I petted a varren, shot some monkeys, got a discount at a store and talked to other krogan around.

The Shaman introduced us to the Rite of Passage and we learned that Grunt can have allies. Of course we'll fight by his side.

But for now we prepare.

Woah, Tali's loyalty mission was a real tough one. I learned to fear Geth Hunters today, and it's really bad because everything in the ship is so tight that you can't really escape them. Luckily I made it through relatively quickly and without too many retries, but boy am I glad I can use AI Hack with my Engineer, and I love my Combat Drone even more now

me: Are we good Zaeed?

Zaeed: Yeah were good.

me: Who's in the tank?

Okeer: That's my son. He's the perfect Krogan

me: Can I take him and not you?

Okeer: Only if you stop the girl down there.

me: Ok

later

me: That's sucks. Normandy? Send someone down here to take this tank

baby: Before I kill you, tell me why I'm here?

me: Your daddy said you're perfect.

baby: That's sweet of him. I will name myself Grunt

me: Ok. Will you help me stop the collectors?

Grunt: Ok. Its not like I have any place to go

me: Hey Mordin Solas? I need you to join me for a mission

Mordin: Ok. I will drop everything and help you. NOT. I want you find my assistant

me: Fine

later

me: Everything good?

Mordin: Yes. Lets go.

me: You can stay in the basement

Jack: Fine by me. Just keep the cheerleader away from me

Garrus: I will be at the front of the ship.

me: Before you go, I need to have that weapons upgrade

Garrus: Here you go. I need to do some calibrating

Jacob: Here's the armor upgrade you asked for Shepard

me: Good

me: What's wrong Ash?

Ashley: We need to speak privately

me: Ok.....Whats going on?

Ashley: Why didn't you let me know you were alive?

me: I've been busy chasing the collectors

Ashley: Does Cerberus know about the video game?

me: I don't believe so. Have you found anything?

Ashley: No. My guess is we have to wait for the reapers to reveal themselves and get them to tell us where this video game is

me: Yeah. Before you go, keep an eye on Anderson and Udina. I just have a weird feeling that something bad is going to happen. We're the only 4, that I know of, that know about this video game.

Ashley: I will send you an email to let you know of any updates. Take care Shepard

Well, Katherine Shepard just went to her death today -- along with everybody else's death.

It wasn't quite how I intended it to go. I had always intended this to be a FailShep run -- as some of you may recall, I edited Reputation down just so Shepard would end up having to shoot Ashley. So I blew off all scanning, all N7s, all side missions I didn't have to do in order to advance the plot, and most Citadel missions. I still ended up with 1716 EMS (some of that was from sabotaging the Genophage cure). Which is comfortably into the low-EMS end of the range for most purposes, but I still got choices in the end. I've heard that preserving the Collector Base lowers the thresholds by a couple of hundred points, so I guess that's what happened.

So, Katherine reaches the final mission with her three squadmates (Tali and Garrus having bought it in ME2, Javik uninstalled, and the VS dead). It's a tough choice for the final squad. Shepard picks EDI and James because Liara's too squishy; or rather, I pick them because Liara's the real hero of the series. I'm running as a fast-cooldown Engineer, so the only weapon I'm using is a Raptor, but most of the time I'm just spamming drones and Incinerates. Pretty easy battles. The only thing I had real trouble with in the whole run was the three Primes on Rannoch, and that might have been because I was playing drunk.

So then it's beam time, and I get to watch James and EDI vaporized. Tough break for Joker. On to the final showdown with TIM, which I almost botch by missing the first Renegade interrupt as TIM executes Anderson. But I make the second, and that's it for TIM.

On to the final confrontation. My original intent was that Control was going to be the only choice, and Shepard would reject it as part of TIM's madness. But Shepard is offered destroy anyway. I almost push the red button, but Shepard decides that the whole thing must be some kind of Indoctrination. The Catalyst's voice change convinces her that she was right about that and she dies... well, not happy, but satisfied that she'd done the right thing.

And then Liara saves the galaxy.
