Today, Bulletless Soldier Shepard attacked and destroyed Cerberys Headquarters. The Illusive Man wasn't there, but she knows where he is going. She did get to (literally) stick it to Kai Leng.

 

After one last conversation with everyone on the ship, they headed to Earth to deal with the Reapers once and for all. They landed in London to destroy a Hades Cannon, which she did with a big gun that fired Nuclear-sized Concussive Shots. She hopes the military will miniaturize that some day.

 

After saying goodbye to everyone at the Forward Operating Base, including an emotional conversation with her Space Boyfriend Garrus, they took off through No Man's Land in London on their way to a Missile Battery.

 

 

 

I nearly beat the Missile Battery segment in one shot, but at the very end I died trying to activate the missiles because I hit every cover on the way there. Grrrrrrrr.

 

I am going to try again after lunch.

So Bulletless Soldier Shepard successfully defended the missile battery and destroyed the Reaper blocking the beam. With that out of the way, everyone decided to the drive to the beam. Then when the road was destroyed, they ran to the beam. Harbinger was not pleased and shot everyone. Bulletless Soldier made sure her squadmates got out alive (goodbye Garrus) before getting fried by Harbinger.

 

Fried, but not dead. Determined, she pressed on, but not before The Almighty Hand (me) turned the difficulty down to Casual Marauder Shields would not be a significant problem. Her hard suit completely fried, Bulletless Soldier was forced to pick up a gun and shoot a bunch of husks and a Marauder.

 

After making it to the beam and up into the Citadel, she met up with Anderson and The Illusive Man. The Illusive Man went for some plastic surgery and the surgeon botched the procedure rather horribly. After the Illusive Man demonstrated his new controlling powers, Bulletless Soldier made him lose control of his emotions, and she shot him dead (again, because no powers were available).

 

After opening the Citadel arms, she talked with Anderson one last time. And then she was taken on a floating elevator where she was greeted by a glow-stick. She pretended to listen to it ramble before shooting a giant red piston which caused the Citadel and all the Mass Relays to blow up. But the Galaxy was saved, so it was all worth it. Go team.

 

 

So the Bulletless Soldier died, but the soul of Erin Shepard lives on, waiting for the day she will be resurrected as the Pistol-SMG Soldier she was always meant to be.

Sigh.  Plugging away in my first ever play of ME3 and ugh.  Rannoch.  Quarians you are stupid!!  Thessia.  OMG Asari.  Yes, more should be commandos instead of dancers, but wtf?  As beat up and down as Sabrina looked after Thessia I felt 10x worse.  I just got done with Horizon and Miranda her dad.  Ugh.  Took break to purchase and download citadel and the extended cut.  Tomorrow I MIGHT push through to the end and save citadel for a 2nd play.  Don't know.  I just to get it over with right now.  Bummed. 

 

I love Javik because he sounds so much like Cassandra in DAI.  Kai Leng is cute, why is he bad?  Why can't I date Captain Bailey?    I don't like Diana Allers at all.  I haven't seen Conrad Verner.   These are just random thoughts I have while playing.

I can't remember my Vanguard playthrough but last time with my Infiltrator I mostly use Eviscerator on the Yahg. When its shielded : Disruptor ammo + Energy Drain and when the shield was off, switch to Cryo ammo + Incineration + Liara's Wrap. It will slow down the Yahg while I mostly run around the area. With Vanguard, I would smash him with Incendiary Ammo + Reave + Liara's Wrap on the armor... but it would take some time to strip the shield.. then again, this is on Insanity, I can't remember my last LoSB playthrough on normal.

 

and I'm home and played ME3 a bit last night. And I missed seafood... mmm... big prawns and fresh fish. Thought about the ME lore and how 30% of Singaporean children got eezo exposure and its a high-density tiny island with low birth rate. That was several millions kids you know... jeez... perspective.

Miranda asked Revka out for a girl's night in the casino. Liara, Tali, EDI, Jack, Samara and Kasumi were pissed because they're not invited and decided to invite themselves.... then the boys found out much later that the girls was having fun without them. The casino have seen better days.

Then, Cortez and Vega thought Anderson's big screen was perfect to watch biotiballs. Revka was more a blitzball person. Jack came by with her varren, Eezo. Don't tell Anderson that Eezo dented his mother's cast iron pan. Then, Rev gave Samara a cryptic message and she rushed to Rev's apartment only to be reassured that the party haven't begun yet since Dr Bryson is still alive. And Traynor gave her trophy to grace Anderson's apartment and found Kahlee's 'massage wand' in the bathroom. That's TMI for Rev. And finally, for the first time in all power-that-be's playthroughs, she decided to let Rev beat Jacob soundly in Shattered Eezo. Sorry Jake.

 

So, now that was settled, Rev FINALLY opens the urgent message from Admiral Hackett. She met with Bryson and unfortunately he was killed before Rev could stop the killer. But the killer went into a sudden coma, maybe it would have been better if Shepard interrogate him at C-Sec rather than putting him in the room with the dead body. Fortunately, EDI came to help and they find clues and manage to trace where Dr Garneau went. Unfortunately, the place creep the hell out of everyone even with reapers lurking around. Later, they found out what the artifact really was and they went back to Citadel to do more detective work. They rescued Dr Bryson's daughter and she helped them trace Leviathan and she live through the ordeal. Then they went to a recently discovered Psi Tophet system. The shuttle was shot down and they landed on a platform filled with smelly rotting corpses. A reaper show up and Revka gained an atlas mech of her own and had fun shooting down brutes. Next time, we're going to bring home one of these mech inside the ship.

 

Since the only way home was through Leviathan, Rev had to dive solo and Kaidan wasn't big about that. Rev pouted a bit and he finally let go. And Rev found the Leviathans.

Revka : Oh great, another giant monsters.

 

and they want to keep Rev with them but Rev had a thing about winning arguments so the giant monsters let her go. Rev pop up and she seems to suffer from decompression sickness and nearly get flattened by a couple of brutes. With everyone's favourite Commander love being a damsel in distress in DLCs, Kaidan had to rescue her again

 

Kaidan : Wait, darling. There's some crazy reapers in our way.

Playing Arman Shepard to start my second Mass Effect 1 playthrough.  Bullied Emily Wong, threatened and killed Fist, bullied the council and Udina, scanned the keepers, berated Jenny, scammed the Flux quasar casino and finally, saved a cat from a tree top.

 

On Wii U, Malena Shepard (neutral alignment, right down to the middle) has saved the quarian live ships (Master race???) from the geth dreadnought.  One has to wonder what she'll do when she has to decide whether robotic farmers or fishbowl aliens deserve her support.

Did Rev not poke the husk in Bryson's lab?

Grunt, Miranda and I passed the Rite of Passage by defeating varren, klixen and even a Thresher Maw. Gatatog Uvenk, who already had a problem with Grunt before, showed up and it didn't go to well for him and his men. We killed them and got out of there. We gained respect from most krogan around for defeating the Thresher Maw, and Grunt became an Urdnot.

 

After sending Grunt back to the Normandy it was time to look for Mordin's protégé Maelon. We approached the hospital and killed a few klixen, varren and Blood Packs.

Inside the hospital we found a human body, apparently experimented on when still alive. Mordin is no fan of this, and neither am I. Next we met a member from Clan Weyrloc, and he tells us about how they're making plans for after the genophage is cured. I shot a pipe and the krogan attack. Once they're all dead we proceeded, and along the way we learned more about Mordin and the genophage project and discovered a female krogan body. Mordin seemed a bit shaken about that and reconsidered his role in the project. Not soon after we found a missing scout and I yelled at him to get his ass back to his clan.

After a few more varren and Blood Packs we clashed with the Chief Weyrloc and killed him, then finally found Maelon in the lab. Seems he's here voluntarily to cure the genophage. Mordin had a few words with him about his methods and eventually pulled out his gun. I stopped him and we let Maelon go, then decided to keep the research data.

 

Afterwards I reactivated the MSV Broken Arrow and thus saved a colony, and looked for a lost Cerberus operative. The operative was found dead and I sent some retrieved data to the Alliance, no way in hell am I gonna give data to the Illusive Man that could cause damage to Cerberus.

 

Then it was time for some crew interaction. Fed fish, checked on Space Hamster, Miranda is still moping, Mordin sang, Thane and I are friends now and Tali confessed her feelings for me. Seems Kelly was right! Sorry, Tali, I love and trust you as a friend, but nothing more. I have other things on my mind anyway.

 

Still lots to do, so I went to Illium with Miranda and Thane to meet up with Liara in her apartment to further help her with the Shadow Broker and getting back Feron. Arrived there and met the Spectre Tela Vasir, who tells us Liara was attacked. I looked for any clues in her apartment, found out that Liara kept a piece of my old N7 armor, and finally found a conversation between Liara and someone called Sekat on a disk. Seems she went to see him at the Dracon Trade Center.

Of course something exploded as soon as we arrived and I'm worried a bit for Liara. My team went in from below and Vasir flew up to the top. We fought our way up through many Shadow Broker Agents until we met Vasir again. We saw that Sekat was killed, and suddenly Liara appears and aims at Vasir.

I tried to calm Liara, but she knows that it was Vasir who attempted to kill her. Vasir attacked and then fled, Liara running after her while we were left with more agents to fight. A wild chase began afterwards. We met up with Liara, and Miranda, her and I "borrowed" a taxi to pursuit Vasir. We ended up at the Azure Hotel, and after more fighting we finally caught up with the Spectre. In order to rescue a hostage she held we had to drop our ammo, then it was us against Vasir. She was fast and sent more reinforcements during the fight, but we took her down and got the data Liara looked for. I tried to stop her and calm her down multiple times, as she really is obsessed with finding the Broker, but she doesn't stop and makes a valid point in finding Feron. He helped me once, so it's only fair we get him out there as soon as possible. Without further delay we were dropped of on top of the Broker's gigantic ship. The surrounding sky is immensely beautiful, but we're caught in a storm and move quickly to find the entrance while fighting off countless enemies. Eventually we arrived at the hatch and gained access. More fighting inside as we approached the Prison Block. Hold out a bit longer, Feron, we're close!

Sabrina finally met up with Conrad Verner, one of the last little things in ME3 that she could do to avoid the ending starting.  Seeing Conrad go off with Jenna brought a huge smile to my face.  I'd been bummed all evening because of those stupid Asari, keeping that beacon for themselves.  Next time I will take Javik with me to Thessia.  Kaidan was pretty sassy to Liara while in the temple, but I've heard that Javik takes it to extreme levels.

Yesterday, I attacked the Reaper solo and defeated it within 4 tries. I finally got the dang hang of that fight (my first playthru I died about 200 times). 

 

I also am proud that I allowed Legion to upload the code giving Geth full Intelligence AND managed to keep Tali from over-dramatically pulling off her mask and plunging into the chasm (she can be such a drama-queen). Hackett was surprised that I was able to keep both of them, and the quarians are finding that Geth can improve their lives. 

 

I'm being a good guy this round. Normally I like to be a jerk to everyone except my crew, but this time I'm nice. My male shep also visited his apartment, and I'm about to meet Joker at the sushi place. Should be a nice relaxing evening, huh?

After our national football team lost to Albania yesterday and after about 5 failed recordings (non-gameplay reasons), these geth were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Not even triple Prime squad could stop Luna Shepard today!

My head still ache from the Singapore trip. Slow day today. Mostly time spent on reddit extolling the virtues of Kaidanmance and watching the battle between upvotes and downvotes. 

 

Its relaxed party day. Rev doing absolutely nothing but to supply everyone with booze and listening to everyone talking to each other. 

 

Tali: Oh... Mr. Vakarian, I could use some help with my suit seals.

Revka: You do know your Mr Vakarian was just outside, rigging my windows with explosives.. and he have good hearing.

 

Kasumi want to recruit Liara for a lot of plans involving the word 'fun'. Grunt wanted more alcohol from Traynor. EDI explaining her ranged functions from impersonating a VI and her infiltration program. Grunt and Wrex bonding over. Zaeed and Garrus definitely need a tv show of their own. Joker discussing with Traynor about their mutual attraction with EDI while Kaidan merely listen. Joker commenting on Kaidan's hair and Kaidan started to explain how his body build up electrical charges and because of his L2 implants, touching him can be painful... down it boy, don't start telling them all about the 'creative' things you do to Rev.

Goddamn, I haven't played Mass Effect in over a month. My Shepard is currently in ME2 about to start Samara's recruitment mission but I got distracted by other games and never bothered to go back. I'll probably continue it again sometime soon.

This is the first ME2 playthrough that I never used Miranda at all except for her loyalty mission

Finished first ever ME3 play today.  First I had to install the extended cut again because my stupid xbox doesn't tell me if things don't install, I have to go look.  I looked and it was not there.  Glad I checked. 

 

Sabrina went to Cerberus HQ with Edi and Garrus. 

 

Enjoyed killing KL and did the "That was for Thane, M-F!" action. 

 

Did the first part of Earth with Edi and Garrus again and then did Edi and James.   TIM killed himself and Anderson made me bawl.  Sabrina debated and went with Destroy.  Synthesize almost made sense to her but I wanted her to live.    Of course Edi did not make it.  Felt a little bad about that. 

 

And yes, I already spent an hour in a new game of ME3, Sabrina round 2.   Will romance Garrus this time.  Seeing him with Tali, hmmm.

Colonist/Infiltrator/Insanity

 

Shepard didn't really do too much today. He talked with all of his crew and apparently they don't agree with his decision to give the base to TIM.  Something about giving a terrorist organization advanced technology and trusting it to not backfire spectacularly.  But Shepard has dismissed those claims.  After that, it was off to liberate the Strontium Mule where John found heavy skin weave that would have really come in handy on the collector base.  After scanning to death a few planets, it then hit Shepard that he totally forgot about Hackett's girlfriend in Batarian custody.  Kinda a big oversight on his part, but eh he has planets to scan, and what harm could it do to wait another day or two to rescue her?

Killed the last group of Shadow Broker agents in front of Feron's room, then got to him. He told us we need to shut down the power first or we'll fry his brain trying to get him out of his shackles. Poor guy.

Shadow Broker sent his last few guards and then we confronted him. He was huge! Miranda got knocked out and the fight was up to Liara and me. Combat droning all the way and we beat him within the first try. (Would've expected more, to be honest )

Sniper Rifle proved quite effective I must say. In the end it was as Liara said: Get in, get Feron, get out. Easy as that!

Liara cried, we hugged, she stayed at ship to be the new Broker. Congrats, Liara. Since you were so obsessed with him anyway you got what you wanted I guess. See you around.

After that I returned to my cabin just to see all my fish died  WHAT?! I just fed them before starting the SB mission...maybe I have overfed? Is that possible?

Immediately went to the Citadel and Illium shops to re-buy the fish. Gee.

Also had more quality time with my crew. Mordin made his move on me. We laughed about it. He's a cool guy, I like him. And the way he talks.

Scanned more planets afterwards and then called it a day.

Shepard now has the Normandy back, with his old friend Joker at the helm. Shep resisted the urge to throttle Joker for getting him spaced. Instead he gave the pilot a friendly smile and contemplated what to do to him later.  The ship looks all shiny and new, with much better lighting than before. Maybe now Shepard won’t need glasses by the time he’s 35!

 

The crew was completely new. There won’t be any “The commanding officer is aboard. XO Pressly stands relieved” anymore. Ah, that always made me chuckle. I imagined Pressly wiping his brow and thinking “thank god Shepard’s back to tend to the idiot farm”. Pressly stands relieved, ha ha.  Terrible! 

 

The new crew include an AI with blocks on it, so it can’t even tell Shepard anything useful.  It was worth heading up to the cockpit just to annoy Joker though. Close the shutter. Open the shutter. Open. Close. Open. Revenge is petty sweet.

 

Apparently Kelly’s job is to trick him into thinking he’s got mail. Damn it, Kelly. Shepard keeps getting his hopes up and thinking someone wants to talk to him. Sheppy no mates. He met Gardner, a creepy guy who “catches what falls through the cracks” and good old Chakwas. Apparently, she wants to take up daytime drinking, so Shepard is happy to oblige.

 

He popped up to check his cabin, but on some nice music, admire the photo of Ashley on his desk. He really should call and let her know he’s not dead. Ah... maybe later.

 

Instead, he went from the Citadel to Omega, picking up two new crew members. Kasumi was already vaguely annoyed when she joined, because Shep spent several minutes staring at her not-so-subtle advert. Shep’s a bit annoyed too. He doesn’t do passwords, and he didn’t even get the free gift. Zaeed also joined. Shepard likes him already. He’s tired of standing next to Jacob and Miranda and feeling ugly. Time to take the battle-scarred merc and the hood with legs.

 

They met Aria T’Loak, drama queen of the armpit of the galaxy (official title).  She’s really fond of the big speeches. Very helpful though, he didn’t even need to pay for the information. He popped into the merc recruiting station to sign up, and convinced 40 year old man with the voice of a teenager, not to sign up. Since he wants to pick up a psychotic biotic first, he headed back to the Normandy. The teenager had already sent him a message thanking Shep, and wondering how he got out of there alive. Out of where? Omega? Illos? Space? Maybe he’ll just have Kelly read his messages in future!
