I finally tied my old boxed copy of ME1 to my account, installing currently to start a fresh trilogy run for the first time in ages. I usually just gibb up a save for ME2 import. Going for the grimdark on this one. Among other things, Kirrahe will meet his maker on Virmire so I can get the Salarian councillor killed in ME3.

This morning I watched the synthesis ending on youtube and I think I will go that route with my game this time.

I deleted my first ng+ from last night and started again this morning.   Sabrina 2 has blue eyes again (not sure why the import the first game had them so dark) and a smaller mouth.  Things that bothered me in the first game.

Just finished Mars and the first visit to the Citadel.  I love Bailey.  Going to resist Kaidan this time. Sabrina did not punch the reporter today and sure, she is a violent thug, but she is a paragon of paragoness.  Heh.

Playing it for the 2nd time is more fun as I know what to expect.   I'm getting Story of Seasons for the 3ds tomorrow so will split time between farming and saving the galaxy.

Finally got round to importing Renegade  John Shepard to Mass Effect 2. Shepard is an Adept Ruthless Colonist and doing an insanity run.

Since the events of Saren/Sovereign, Shepard took a well deserved break on holiday because saving the galaxy is hard work. Afterwards, the new council thought it was a good idea to send Shepard to fight Geth despite the warnings of impending doom about the Reapers <_<. There was also a brief cutscene with Miranda and the Illusive Man (The Illusive Man is my favourite antagonist of the series and he has a cool music theme as well).

So Shepard was flying to find a Geth presence and found nothing apart from a mysterious ship. This ship was hostile and Pressly died in the opening scene just like Jenkins so it seems like the Mass Effect 1 crew is slowly being thinned out. The Normandy was falling apart so Shepard had to go check on Joker. Shepard needed to avoid all the fiery explosions and even did a mini space walk (which consisted of walking into chairs to move them around because of antigravity). Joker was being stubborn and Renegade Shepard would have probably have left him at this point but Shepard persisted. The Normandy ended up in a broken mess and Shepard died through suffocation because of Joker -_-. Shepard's lifeless body floated away in the distance and cue the sad music. Shepard is used to dying with all the 'critical mission failures' of ME1 but this was a welcome change as it was a plot death.

Shepard's body was recovered and was given a face transplant (I didn't think the default face was Renegade-y enough ). Shepard now has another pre-set face but is more angry. He still is an Adept and has dominate as a bonus power.

Shepard awoke and finds that some Mechs are on the rampage. Someone called Miranda is giving hints over the radio. Shepard got his equipment to find that he only has 320975 credits on him . Shepard was a millionaire by the end of Mass Effect 1 (5 million to be exact) so someone has managed to pilfer all the credits away. Shepard was not happy about this! Jacob was fighting nearby and he explained that two years have passed. Jacob tried to brag to Shepard about being a biotic and having biotic abilities but Shepard is an Adept <_<. Shepard has the singularity power and dominate power while Jacob has a pull ability. So I think Shepard wins the bragging contest and he used the singularities in front of Jacob just to make a point. Shepard asked Jacob about the Lazarus Project and about the "cutting edge technology". Shepard asked whether or not he is a clone (Hmm, I wonder ;) *cough* Citadel *cough*). Shepard came across Wilson who needed a medi-gel and Shepard thought it would be a waste to use a medi-gel but he did it anyway.

Jacob revealed that he is part of a group called Cerberus. Shepard's death has affected his mind a bit because he said that he never heard of them. Shepard thinks that they deserve a chance as they have brought him back to life. Eventually caught up with Miranda and she killed Wilson in cold blood so I think Miranda has out-renegaded Shepard with this act today.

Shepard then went to another Cerberus facility to speak with The Illusive Man.

Today its crazy party day.

Of course, there's booze, sexual tensiongun practice  and a lot of bad dancing. Cortez saying you could roast a pig (or egg) on her fireplace. Kaidan telling everyone a story about "...and then she said, 'I was talking to the goat'." and Rev corrected him that it was a space cow. Then, Rev caught Kasumi looking through her closet and apparently, the badass first human Spectre have a lot of girly underwear... did she took pictures??? sigh... just go with the flow, Rev.

ORocSBq.jpg

Kaidan was pissed because Rev accidentally flirted with Vega in front of him. Luckily for Kaidan, his kind of physical excellence was the one that she really appreciates.

And the drunken ladies want more entertainment and a lot of display of physical excellence. Rev whispered something about the lack of panty lines to Kaidan. Of course, the badass major wins.

IVRE9PV.jpg

But there's a war going on, everyone had to wake up. The Normandy are now good as new and Hackett's fleet are ready to attack Cerberus.

Kaidan ambushed her with the whiskey she bought for him at the Citadel. She still didn't say "I love you" but its okay. He's her cushy pillow for her to land on. He understands. He always has a thing for a girl on top, anyway.

mXm6HWH.jpg

Later, Rev start to have her usual nightmare. Turns out the little nightmare kid was her son. She freak out when she saw herself and the boy began to burn right in front of her again. Jeez, thanks universe for insisting that the prospect of motherhood is going up in flames for her. Wait, did Kaidan use protection just now?

They went to the familiar Horsehead Nebula (Hello, Noveria) and head straight to Cronos station at Anadius system. Joker still pissed at Rev but a little hardened personality is needed and he's pretty okay about EDI kicking ass.

ieMu4HU.jpg

If Kaidan can co-pilot Normandy, Rev became a co-pilot for Steve... Made you wonder if she can pilot a fighter jet at some point in her life. Too much Battlestar Galactica? Yay, fanfic material.

Kaidan finally found out that Rev really died all those years ago and he saw the gigantic proto-reaper core. Now he feels like a complete d*ck again about refusing her in ME2.

Fortunately for him, Leng Chai came to crash the party and became the focus of everyone's hate. Multiple Overload and Energy Drain later, Leng Chai became Ham Ga Leng (umm.. sorry, I can't stop myself using cantonese curse words and his name.. I'm a bad influence).

Now that we know what Catalyst is, then we head out to our homeworld.

But before that... "Wat'choo doin'?"

ADcmpKZ.jpg

Revka : Let the moon's shining light hide two lovers with its rays....

Tali : Shut up!

Admiral Hackett came by and we're all ready for the galaxy liberation project. Joker is taller than he looks

Rev, Javik and Kaidan dropped into the combat zone. Steve nearly died. Rev nuked her fourth reaper with a McCain. Where the hell was this thing on the Normandy. Didn't we have a collection of these? Shifty eyes engineers.. grrr....

Rev found Anderson with Hawke. Hawke briefly mention something about Rev being a hero to everyone. ("Are you saying I'm a mascot?" "I thought that come with the job descriptions." "I found Varric and the other you the other day. The Inquisitor is at the ship. That's Iron Bull right there." "Could have used them all at the Big Ben. By the way, can you sign my chestplate?" "Don't tell me you're not a Forever Normandy.... oh, yes you are.")

Oh crap.. everyone saying goodbye right now?

3o5Pteo.jpg

NOOOOOOO!!! Okay, I'm going to stop right here and start Camp Nano with Revka/Kaidan fanfiction. Insanity achievement can wait.

Linda Shepard

Harbinger: You're a pain in the neck Shepard:

me: What can I say? Why are the reapers guarding this video game or whatever it is?

Harbinger: You don't need to know. Just know you will never see it.

me:I bet I do find it.

Harbinger: Not if I harvest the galaxy you won't.

me: You sound scared.

Harbinger: You got guts Shepard. You would make a good reaper. In fact I would make you my second-in-command

me: Temping. But I like to keep my form

Harbinger: Your loss. If you did you would see the device that's being guarded

me: Yeah. You're scared. Have you ever wanted to know exactly what it does? And if its a video game, haven't you been temped to play it after all this time?

Harbinger: Hahaha. Nice try Shepard. Prepare for my arrival

Linda Shepard will continue her adventure in 6 months after her vacation

While doing a mod for my infiltrator I've been pondering going back to her ME2 random playthrough. I would really like to try it again and see if I can get some more mixed results this time. And I haven't got her very far into ME3 so it wouldn't make a huge difference there.

They met Aria T’Loak, drama queen of the armpit of the galaxy (official title). She’s really fond of the big speeches. Very helpful though, he didn’t even need to pay for the information. He popped into the merc recruiting station to sign up, and convinced 40 year old man with the voice of a teenager, not to sign up. Since he wants to pick up a psychotic biotic first, he headed back to the Normandy. The teenager had already sent him a message thanking Shep, and wondering how he got out of there alive. Out of where? Omega? Illos? Space? Maybe he’ll just have Kelly read his messages in future!

Maybe Aria can go head to head with Miranda for the drama queen of all time title :P

John Shepard

Colonist/War Hero/Infiltrator/Insanity

Well, it turns out it was time to rescue Hackett's girl.  Shepard was kinda curious why he had to go alone.  It's not like going in with a Krogan/Quarian/Drell non-council squad would have pissed the Batarians off more.  But regardless, it was time for Shepard to live up to his class name and infiltrate the prison.  Surprisingly, the guards were pretty blind and John easily enough made it to Kenson without being detected.  But of course it soon came down to shooting his way out, which was easy enough.

On the way to the project base, Kenson begins explain what they were planning to do (her use of the past tense was the first sign that things were probably not going well).  As much as the prospect of killing 300,000 Batarians AND stopping the reapers seemed like the ultimate win-win for this colonist Shepard, he remembered that the majority of them were slaves and thus not deserving of a fiery supernova death in revenge for his parents.  Then he got to Object Rho.

Shepard:  You're keeping this out in the open?  This is not good.

Kenson:  (ominously) Just wait Shepard, you'll get the proof you seek.

S:  Kenson, this better not be what I think it is.

* Object Rho pulses and give him a vision

S:  Kenson I swear to Space God if this is what I think it is I am going to go Torfan on you.

K:  Surprise Shepard!

Spoiler

S:  ... Kenson, do the names Warden Kuril, Gatatog Uvenk, Donovan Hock, Morinth and Collector General mean anything to you?  Because since you are about to meet them I should let you know that they all have two things in common.  1:  they tried to do just this and trap me, and 2:  They are all very dead.

After being disabled by the Project, Shep wakes up, because apparently sedatives just aren't hard enough drugs for the great Cmdr. Shepard.  After tearing the project staff a new one, he makes good on his promise to Kenson by interrupting her motive rant with a well placed bullet, because Shep has had enough of her indoctrinated assertions.

On the way out, Shepard had the pleasure of meeting the infamous Harbinger man to ... er... mecha-cuttlefish.  Some smack talk later and Harbinger hangs up on Shepard.  Soon John escapes the system and watches it go up in flames.  Luckily, Hackett seems pretty understanding of the matter, and forgives Shepard for offing his indoctrinated mistress.  So it seems that the Alliance will try to pin this on Shepard, which John quickly scoffs at and points to his Spectre status.  Hackett responds that the Plot Gods demand a trial on Earth.  This will probably not end well.

Shepard went to space prison today. No, the new Council hasn’t already grown tired of him,  :P he’s here to pick up a prisoner. Kasumi noted it would be pretty hard to break out of this place, with nowhere to go. Don’t worry, friend. Shep won’t hand you over to the authorities for all that stealing. You’ve set up a bar on the Normandy – you’re already on his Favourite Person list!

They spoke to a slightly deranged man who “blew up that one habitat.” Why exactly are these people being kept on this station? Shep would just flush them all out the airlock. Starting with Warden Kuril.

Fighting through everything was a little tricky. I’m so used to throwing up a barrier and going all Jenkins on everyone in ME1. Need to start thinking tactically, especially since biotics are on a group cooldown. After freeing Jack, Shep had to chase her down. Zaeed was all “we need to help her before she gets killed!” There a prince charming hidden away in there, Zaeed? She’ll be fine, she’s literally tearing the station apart with the strength of her biotics.

Shepard got squished the first time we fought a heavy mech, so the second time he headed up to the walkways and entrenched himself. Directed Kasumi to go invisible and punt it on the butt. She did. Nice:lol: When they finally caught Jack, she was working herself into a state about Cerberus. Zaeed suggested they just knock her out and take her onboard. Nice thought, prince charming. Shep just decided to strike a deal. He gave Jack the top-secret Cerberus data, and Miranda facepalmed at him. What? It’s just Cerberus.

Then they touched down on Korlus. Apparently, billions of people live right here, in crap-and-murder central. No accounting for taste! Since they have no idea where the krogan professor is, Shepard asked a merc, before telling him to “go find a shady spot before you bleed out.”
Jack: Funny.
Shep: I thought so.
Aww, team bonding!  ^_^ They encountered a slightly odd krogan fighting off some mercs. Shep wanted to ask philosophical questions about genophage cures and breeding people, but Zaeed was of the ‘who cares’ mentality. In fact, Zaeed  seems overly defensive about the big scary krogan, especially when he picked up a hunk of metal and threw it. Feeling a little intimidated?

This whole ‘krogan professor’ thing seems suspicious, especially with all the wild krogan running around. It smells of Virmire. Hopefully not another choice between who lives and dies. On the one hand, Jack likes threatening and killing people. On the other, Zaeed likes threatening and killing people. How is Shepard supposed to choose!?

Shepard didn’t manage to get the prof, though he did nearly get himself killed a few times, as they got hammered on all sides by a mech, Jedore and krogan. It’s not all bad though, they got a tank full of baby krogan soldier just waiting to be released!

So My Shepard aka Vangaurd of their destruction took Sanctuary by the storm. Literally.

Showing some max level poweress...I think I may have broke the game at the final elevator :v I forgot how OP explosive incendiary ammo is with the PPR, even if its level V.

The I rushed through citadel dlc so I can get to NG+. Had some fun with my girls Miri and Samara against some super elite collectors..Just like old times :)

I learned how beautiful and destructive this set-up is. Love Lash and Flare, and of course the vanilla power list.

These videos illustrates the power of shepard!!! Can't wait to go to NG+, the enemies are going to be a bit harder and I get to get all weapons to X..

I'm playing my new run today, Siouxsie Shepard. Colonist/Ruthless/Adept. Just running around the Citadel gathering up evidence against Saren. I love and hate the ME1 Citadel. I love the size, but the obvious useless areas that are thin covers for Xbox load screens gets tiresome. Still, lovin' that old ME1 magic.

That's essentially the plan, minus keeping Wrex alive for the 'betrayal' in ME3. I just enjoy the non-psycho but dour Wreav in ME2. And while primarily playing Renegade, I avoid the pointless jerk and whiny statements Shep can do, but will generally point a weapon in anyone's face who deserves it.

Key planned deaths are Kirrahe, Ashley and Wrex with the obvious candidates like Fist and Rana assumed.

Question is: will you send Conrad Verner to his death in ME1, or keep him alive for his shop discount in ME2 before sending him to his (hilariously violent) death?

I had not planned on playing Mass Effect at all today, but someone mentioned to me that Concussive Shot when amplified with Cryo Ammo would not prime for a cryo explosion. So I tested it out a few times. The first few times it seemed rather erratic, but I soon figured it out. Concussive Shot amplified with cryo ammo will prime for a cryo explosion, but it can take a looooooong time to fully freeze an enemy. I took some video and should have it posted in a few hours.

And since I was hogging my Internet with uploading, I decided to play some Mass Effect 3. Loaded up my current playthrough: Dominic Shepard, Vanguard.

Dominic decided to play tourist and visit Manae, Palaven's moon. The visit was completely ruined since it was overrun with the galaxy's version of "Ugly Americans": the Reapers. (Only died once, when Biotic Charge bugged out, leaving me on cooldown nowhere near cover and in the sights of two Marauders.)

Next he visited the Citadel for what felt like the hundredth time. And once again, he spent very little time sight-seeing and instead ran around doing a bunch of little errands.

Last night, The Alliance Suicide Squad (Revka, Kaidan and James) returned to Earth again and found London in ruins. Turns out the boys did great against the raining reapers, Brutes and Banshees. Cryo Ammo, Cryo Blast, Carnage, Incineration, Overload. Energy Drain, Black Widow and armor-piercing modded Mattocks made everything seamless... and too short.. sigh.

Then, the final goodbyes. Fanboy James was all serious and maybe Hackett would give his Lieutenant Commander title back. Cortez was okay. The Suicide Squad were all gunning for it. There's no Shepard without Vakarian. Embrace eternity. Suck it up, Princesses!!! The Last Prothean want to write a book with Liara. Let's watch Fleet and Flotilla again, okay? And "Revvie, do I have a soul?" Yes, you do EDI.

But she was all teary and Kaidan gave her a goodbye smoochie and "I don't want to lose you again..." :( Then, "We're not doing this alone" and then,

*cue Atonement OST*

"I love you. I'll wait for you. Come back. Come back to me."

W2gQQ2k.jpg

*cue Debussy's Claire de Lune and bawling*

RZ9uhxq.jpg

and the rest of the screenies and some proper Rev/Kaidan OTP ending.

Spoiler

Ok, I'm finally done with my proper canon C/SS/Paragade FemShep playthrough... *cries*... Revka's ME1's insanity and ME3's NG+ next. Probably do the NG+ first since I NEED to collect all the mods. But I need to finish Kotor 2 and Bioshock Infinite... fuh. Too many games, too little time.

Didn't have much time to play this week, buuuut...

Scanned loads of planets and then investigated some anomalies.

Went to a Blood Pack base, took those guys out and detonated some containment cells. Boom. Done and out.

Afterwards we went to an abandoned mine. So creepy. Lots of husks and abominations around. Fought our way through them and set off a bomb. On a destructive path today.

Then we were off to clean out some Eclipse mercs in a mining facility. Found some encrypted data and while waiting for its decryption we fought off all Eclipse mercs coming on us. Uploaded the data to Cerberus.

Looking forward to the Easter weekend and hopefully finishing ME2 :)

Sabrina did some stuff yesterday that I already forgot, but vaguely I remember she went the Cerberus Lab and then back to the Citadel and got Aria's mercs in line to help her defeat the reapers.

I played more of Story of Seasons than ME yesterday because farming is my first love, saving the galaxy my second.  Today I went to the doctor.  Might have a stress fracture in my left foot, xray not conclusive so I go for an mri next Wednesday.   I am wearing an orthopedic boot.  Not fun to go up and down stairs in it so am staying downstairs with my 3ds instead of upstairs with my xbox.
