John Shepard on insanity ...
Shepard started in the Cerberus facility before going to see The Illusive Man but before this he needed a change of armour. The armour colour now is a light blue? (it is either a very light blue/grey/white
). Anyway, Shepard finally met The Illusive Man and he listened to him and remained professional. Shepard was told that the next mission was Freedom's Progress. As soon as the crew landed, Shepard didn't waste time on trying to recover his lost fortune of credits as he hacked into some personal safes. Later on, he met Tali and she was surprised to see him. The relationship between these two are still not on good terms due to the fact that Shepard didn't hand over data files two years previous. Team Tali squad got into some trouble and it was up to Shepard to save the day. I was lucky in the Mech fight because Shepard hid round the crates and the Mech just stood there. So Shepard managed to angle the shots to blow up the Mech without taking damage or return fire. Shepard got to Veetor and shot a monitor to get his attention. Shepard then took Veetor to Cerberus so Tali will be even more angrier as she didn't get the data a few years back and now Shepard is refusing to hand over one of her people.
Back to The Illusive Man, he said that there was a pilot who Shepard can trust. Shepard was expecting some ace Cerberus pilot but no it was Joker
. The same guy that indirectly killed Shepard to begin with. Shepard's death has affected his memory though so he didn't call him out on being responsible. The next mission is do a team building exercise so he went round the new Normandy to speak with the crew. Shepard was given a shopping list of brandy and food to keep everyone happy. Shepard said that he will do it (Shepard received +2 paragon points after speaking with Dr Chakwas
. My first reaction was Nooooo! because I was aiming for pure renegade). Kelly tried to do an April Fool attempt about unread messages but she is a day late Shepard still fell for it though.
Shepard's focus was now to start recruiting and the first stop was the Citadel. Shepard recruited his first member just by speaking to an advertisement and he hopes that all the contacts will be this easy. Shepard stopped by to speak with Anderson to try and get some help. Anderson said he couldn't do anything apart from reinstating the SPECTRE status. Shepard then turned criminal again by assaulting Al Jilani on camera again. This aggression continued to all the Citadel stores as Shepard demands a discount. These actions included going into a gun shop and telling a Turian that the "Humans are the best defence this place has!" and the Turian still gave the discount. Shepard also accused one shop assistant of being classist and shouted to passers-by that the shop "discriminates against the poor"
. This resulted in getting the space hamster and fish at a discount rate.
Shepard left the Citadel and started to scan some planets.

Finished up on the Citadel, got Saren fired and killed Fist without Wrex. Picked him up on the way out, helped out Talitha deal with her past and blasted off to Therum. Picked up Liara. Siouxsie, while a Renegade is not anti-alien in the slightest. Debating her romance partner, I may just go with a loveless run, or perhaps start something with Kaidan only to lose him on Virmire. Noticed that the Origin d/l included Pinnacle Station. I've never actually tried PS, odd that I still have new ME content at this date but I hear it's pretty underwhelming. Debating on what's next, doing some side missions for now. I think I'll pay Balak a visit, then head over to Noveria.
-edit-
I'm really tempted to pick up Elite: Dangerous, but at $70 cdn that's a bit of a bite while I'm between jobs.

Some more side missions today! I'm amazed what I missed when I played the first time, even though I spent quite some time scanning planets back then...
Went to shut down a Blood Pack Communications Relay, it was all foggy and full of klixen. Followed the way with the help of beacons, or else we'd have been totally lost. Saw a strange creature lurking around, but it didn't attack. Bypassed the relay and headed back to the Normandy.
My fish died again. Ugh. Another round of buying it is.
Checked out a merchant frighter wreckage afterwards, where we shut off a transmitter. That called in some mechs. Hacked and warped our way back to the shuttle and got off this planet.
Investigated Jarrahe Station afterwards, which seems to be the reasons for the wrecked frighter. A lot of dead people in this place. Seems we have to deal with a VI. It was shut down successfully.
Last stop today was a quarian crash site, where Mordin, Miranda and I defended a hurt quarian from a couple of varren until our ride arrived for extraction. Went out with style by kicking a varren straight in the face.

Shepard encountered a couple of civilians hiding in their house, and convinced them to head to Mordin’s clinic once he’s carved a path. Then he took all the money from their safe. A reward for doing his civic duty so well! There were a couple of guys looting a house in the next street over, so he told them to stop. Stealing from dead people, that’s just sick...
Stealing from dead people is terrible... you cannot witness the sad, terrified face of someone seeing you rob them if they are dead. Unless you kill them, but it's not the same...
+1000 Renegade points for me.

Stopped a Geth incursion cold in the Armstrong Cluster, shared Geth data with Tali. Paid Dr. Heart a visit with Garrus and had justice served, then met a troubled vet named Toombs and listened to his story. Had heard about that incident, an old academy acquaintance died there, killed the Cerberus doctor under Spectre authority. Will have to look into Kahoku's troubled message, been too busy. Caught wind of my old friends the Batarians rigging up X57 to hit Terra Nova, can't have that on my watch. Those slaver scum have gone too far this time.

Sooo, My Broshep took back earth and synthesis ensued. I am ready for a NG+ gameplay. I am thinking of just recording a semi LP, no commentary and I am gonna stick to level 60, I might get rid of all the guns and then reaquire them. idk what say?
I also imported my femshep from me2 as a sentinel. Gonna see if I can get to NG+ with her too, maybe a recording of that to?
Hmm

Last night, I picked up Dominic Shepard (Vanguard) again, and finished off some of the early fetch quests and had a quick meeting with Aria on Dock 42.
Then I had "diplomatic" meeting with the Turian Primarch, a Salarian Dalatross, and Urdnot Butthole. (I mean Wreav. Guess I killed Wrex in ME2.) Travelled to Sur'Kesh to go pick up some Krogan females. Also turns out that I destroyed Maelon's data in ME2. So that's something. (I finished ME2 with this guy several years ago, all right? I had forgotten what I did. And I never looked at the list of major choices made when importing into ME3.)
I was going to save the game and go to bed before doing any combat, but then I figured, why not? So I charged and Nova-ed and shotgunned my way through Cerberus goons and an Atlas mech to save a Krogan female that is going to end up dying anyway.
I am one step closer to getting the Claymore. Dominic will then be the War Machine he was always meant to be.

More Dominic Shepard, Vanguard.
Met up with my former romance, Miranda, on the Citadel. We look forward to seeing more of each other in the future.
Traveled to Utuuku to stomp out the Rachni. Again. Bumped into Grunt. Hey Grunt. Picked up the Claymore; my baby is back, but not quite ready for action.
Discovered that the Reapers had captured the last Rachni Queen and were using her to breed heavily-modified Rachni troops for them. She wanted to be set free, but I was not making that mistake again. She calmly surrendered herself to her fate. Grunt made sure we got out of there alive, and somehow managed to survive himself and get out of there. Good boy.
Mordin informed me that the cure was ready. I was not ready yet as I still had a lot left to do. But first things first: upgraded my Claymore to level V. Now it's on! I headed to Grissom Academy next to see what the problem was. Turns out the problem was Cerberus (isn't it always?). With Jack's help, we fixed the problem and got most of the students out of there alive. (Side note: I did not run into David Archer so I guess I left him with his brother in ME2.)
We still have a few missions left to do before heading out to cure the genophage (wonder if I can talk Mordin out of it? Wreav could be... problematic). Cerberus is abducting civilians on Benning, Cerberus is attacking Tuchanka, and Cerberus is studying Reaper tech in some lab. It would be nice if Cerberus was helping fight the Reapers instead of being a nuisance to the rest of the galaxy. Just one more thing to fix once I take over Cerberus and become the new Illusive Man.
Also: when I started ME3 today, I was told to install a 12MB update. And... I do not know if it is related... but whenever I switched to using the Executioner Pistol, a Vorcha laugh sound effect played. Weird.

EDI said that she's going to modify her self-preservation algorithms. Shepard said "Welcome to the crew, EDI". The very next mission she started to charge an Atlas. Repeatedly.
That coincided with Liara's mutiny - she did not use powers when I ordered her to
So I got annoyed and left Cerberus HQ + Priority Earth for tomorrow ![]()

Renegade
John Shepard on insanity continued ...
After scanning a few planets and scavenging some materials. Shepard found some side-missions to do. The first mission was at a wreckage site which ended with the activation of a lot of Mechs. The crew destroyed a few and then they just ran to the Shuttle.
The next side-mission is probably one of my favourites in ME2 as it was the Jarrahe Station mission. I probably like it because of the horror elements such as the dark abandoned environment, dead bodies, blood and the rogue VI. Even though the station is abandoned (apart from the VI), Shepard probably has suffered the most embarrassing death to date because it was death by ... steam
(This happened twice). Shepard had more trouble with the steam than the brief encounter with the Mechs on the previous mission. Shepard was successful on the third attempt and shut the VI down.
Shepard was in the same system to recruit the Krogan so he decided to do some grunt work for the next crew member. Shepard was dropped off in the ship junkyard and he encounter an injured mercenary. The mercenary was threatened to lead a team into some rampaging Krogan and Miranda approved. Shepard encountered the Blue Suns on the way to the Krogan contact. These enemies were quickly disposed of because Shepard and Co used biotics to pull them off the high ledges. Shepard learned that there is a lab and this lab is breeding Krogan to adapt to the Genophage. In the end, Shepard's contact died and he was left with a tank
. Shepard doesn't know whether to let the tank bred Krogan out or not.
After the mission, Shepard checked on the fish and they have already died
.

Dominic Shepard, Vanguard Vangod was rather busy today. Let's see if I can remember:
1. Stopped a Cerberus attack on Tuchanka, and repaired a big cannon which then destroyed a Cerberus cruiser.
2. Rescued civilians on Benning from Cerberus.
3. Raided a Cerberus lab on Sanctum and recovered some Reaper tech samples and sent it to Hackett. I didn't ask what he wanted those samples for, but he probably would not have told me anyway.
4. Handed in a bunch of crap I found to people on the Citadel.
5. Talked with the Dalatross and landed on Tuchanka with the intention of curing the genophage. Then changed my mind because Wreav is a vengeful tyrant (read: typical Krogan) and decided to sabotage the cure. Talked Mordin into agreeing with the decision and sent him to work on the Crucible Project.
I should note that I somehow glitched the game twice on Tuchanka. Both times, probably because of all the charging, nova-ing, and exploding, the sound got all quiet and slooooooow. it even affected some cutscenes where everything went in sloooow moootioooon. Also, I got stuck in what seemed like a never-ending Brute spawn at then end before one of them finally killed me. They were dropping in almost on top of me so it was only a matter of time before I went down. Beat it the second attempt when they did not spawn endlessly.
6. Went to Eden Prime to pick up a Prothean artifact from Cerberus. The Prothean artifact turned out to be a Prothean. I am sure Liara could tell me all about the Protheans, but that would mean listening to her. I am a Vanguard, I just want to shoot stuff.
7. Rescued a Turian Platoon.
8. Helped the Turian Platoon stop a big bomb from destroying a chunk of Tuchanka. They all died, we lived. Go team.
9. Attacked a Cerberus Figher Base on Noveria. Liberated the fighters and sent them to Hackett.
10. Went to go talk to the Salarian councilor, only to discover Cerberus was staging a coup. Because of course they were. I saved Commander Bailey, then shot my way through some Cerberus squads in C-Sec headquarters before finding the councilor. Some Cerberus butthead with a sword and palm blaster tried to kill the councilor but Major Kirrahe took the bullet instead. good job, but he had a gun and should have used it.
Took a shuttle after the would-be assassin, only for the assassin to stab the shuttle with sword, causing us to crash. Fought my way to an elevator, then took it up and cut off the other councilor's elevator. Ashley continued to prove why she was never Spectre material (stupid political B.S. appointment). I convinced Ashley to not shoot at me, then Udina got jumpy and pulled out a gun so I shot him dead.
And so now I am on the Citadel and everyone is getting all needy again.

Oh yes, I loved this side mission too, the atmosphere is incredible there. And the same happened to me yesterday, death by steam
I was patiently waiting for 2 steam streams to disappear when suddenly one below me activated. I don't wanna know where it hit Shep ![]()
...Fish...
See below.
Even more side missions today!
Landed on the planet Canalus to investigate geth activity and weird weather conditions. Miranda, Tali and I took care of the geth and shut down the geth device that caused the anomly.
Then I dragged Mordin and Miranda to an archeological dig site. It was full of Blue Suns mercs, and Vido Santiago is involved. Good thing Zaeed isn't here, he'd be raging again. Cleaned out the place, read a PDA and found a Prothean artifact. Had a vision again, almost missed that weird stuff!
The PDA led us to the MSV Strontium Mule, a ship with yet more Blue Suns. Our job was to get rid of those and secure some cargo for Cerberus. I feel like their errand boy sometimes, but I'm glad to see the mercs gone. After defeating all of them we secured the cargo and it held intel about a Blue Suns base which sends a distress signal to lure ships there. Hell yes we're cleaning this place out! We had to fight 2 YMIR mech as well in the end, then I overloaded the transmitter.
Then we were off to help an Alliance colony. 2 missiles were launched on it by batarians. 5 minutes to find the control panel, no problem, right? Failed once because I simply ran out of time and thought trying to run past the last batarian in the last 5 seconds to reach the control panel was the way to go. Nah.
We managed the second time and I had to choose between saving the residential or the industrial area. Went for residential.
Last action for today was going to the Hahne-Kedar facility to stop virus-infected mech. Everything went smooth and we could shut down the production line successfully.
And... I avoid the topic fish. No more fish for Shepard in this current ME2 run.
