Valena Shepard

Age 31 (technically 29)

Alignment: Goodie-Two Shoes

Class: Infiltrator

Background: Spacer/Sole Survivor

Favorite Weapon: the Widow sniper rifles ME1-ME2,  Indra in ME3

Favorite Power: Incinerate

Favorite Bonus Power: Barrier

Favorite Ammo: Cyro tied with Warp

ME2

Paragon, mostly (KROGAN HEADBUTT!)

Conrad--Made him feel like a hero

Khalisah Al-Jilani--Made her look like a jackass paragon-style

Garrus--Romanced, saved Sidonis

Tali--Exonerated, took my second favorite paragon interrupt in the entire series (I love giving Tali that hug)

Grunt--Killed the damned thresher maw

Kasumi--Destroyed the greybox

Zaeed--Talked down

Jack--L5 implants, Paragon options

Samara--Like I was going to take the psychic vampire

Mordin--Kept genophage research, reminded him he's not a murderer

Jacob--Dad arrested

Miranda--Tried to save Niket

Legion--Rewrote the heretics

Collector Base--Nuked it

Overlord--Saved David, took my favorite Paragon interrupt in the entire series

Arrival--Tried to warn the colony, shot the scientist

LotSB: Completed

Here she is in ME3.  I used the default Shep hair mod, gibbed tweaking for the colors of the hair/lips/eyes and used the N7 Shirt/Dogtags mod as well.  If anyone wants the headmorph for her, let me know and I can put it up on dropbox.  I will be adding to the album as time goes on: http://imgur.com/a/IzqpX

Edit: I'll be keeping a count of how many times Shepard is blown up, knocked over or otherwise on her butt.  I'm up to 3 and I just got to Mars.

These are some of my favorites so far.  My buddy themikefest inspired my Shepard's looks in ME3, though I know we'll have some personality differences.    :P

I kind of felt slow today playing my femshep, probably cause I don't have the ability to charge>Shotgun>lash>Fire Explosion>Reave>Nova>Warp>Lash>Dark Channel>Shockwave>Charge>Shotgun>Reave>Shockwave and if there is any enemies left turn them into nothingness with Undefined Flare. Yeah suffice to say sentinel feels slow, lets see how OP she gets at level 60? I do tank more damage thanks to both tech armor and fortification though.

Finished Mars.  The Severe Beating of Commander Shepard count is at 4.  I do plan on grabbing screenshots from here on out every time Shepard's been knocked on her rear (yes, that means a lot of screenshots come Thessia.  Stupid Kai Leng.)  Poor Val can't get a break.  This isn't her day.  Everything is trying to kick the snot of out her.  She's already had a bad day of getting knocked down.  Once at the Alliance council, then blown back by an explosion, then knocked off of a bridge, and now Vega's shuttle crash into Eva.  She's not a solider, she's a freaking Timex watch. Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin':

Just curious what looks I inspired for your Shepard.  She looks good

Once I finish my DAI playthrough, I will continue Linda Shepard's adventure in ME3

You had an avatar for awhile of a default Shepard, which I liked.  There was also one you used of Shep and Samantha together as well.  Plus, you also were the one that asked if I was coming back here while I was replaying the ME series.  So when I was picking out my look for ME3, I thought of you and those other avatars.   ;)

I wanted to create a look that was similar to the default.  I took a facemorph from an incomplete game (never finished my Solider, probably won't because I have attention span issues with any non-rogue/non-stealth class,) and added to it.  I'm not a big fan of the default hair options, and the long hair styles kept clipping all over the place.  The default Shep hair is perfect, with a darker reddish-brown.  I thought about using a different facemorph, one that has freckles, but I decided against it.

Oh yes, I loved this side mission too, the atmosphere is incredible there. And the same happened to me yesterday, death by steam  I was patiently waiting for 2 steam streams to disappear when suddenly one below me activated. I don't wanna know where it hit Shep :D

...Fish... -_- See below.

<snip>

And... I avoid the topic fish. No more fish for Shepard in this current ME2 run.

This might cause Shepard to have an irrational fear about steam in the future . So a scenario like this would happen:

Samantha: Shepard can I use your shower.

Shepard: Yes that's fine.

*A few seconds later*

Shepard: Traynor get outta there quick!!!

Traynor: Why what's wrong!!!

Shepard: I thought you were going to die, didn't you see all that steam!!!

Traynor: <_<

Also, the survival of fish is the galaxy's toughest job of all .

I was neurotic about those fish on Valena.  After every mission I'd go up to my cabin and feed the fish.  If I saved and exited, then came back, I fed my fish.   No one is going to die under my watch.  Not even the fish!

Started Revka NG+ Insanity run. This time she's a hardass Renegon (because I'm too chicken to be pure Renegade...).

But.. sorry everyone... two minutes in and Dangerous Kaidan kept giving Rev these puppy eyes... like ALL THE TIME... I mean... come on... I can't say no to these sexual tension. That's just way too cruel to deny them their needs.

So... why do I get the feeling that this isn't the first time you guys have an argument with each other? What did you do, Alenko? Of course, its your fault.

and I got the old Liara back (Shadow Broker version). Yay~~ (but the teeth.... what is it with Bioware and yellowish crooked teeth) But she look more like her old self. She's a lot more expressive now.

and magically this imgur album get a lot of hits... (there's like 4 pics at first and then there's several hundred hits.. now 700 hits... had to put a lot more so internet people wouldn't lynch me...).... I think I pressed a wrong button or something... errr

It looks like I'm one of the few that honestly enjoy the nightmare sequences.  Considering how much Shepard has been through, especially if you start him/her at ME1, it made sense that their dreams would start messing with their head.  I just don't like it when I lose track of the kid.  Thankfully, this did not happen this time.

I really liked them too. I kinda felt it made my Shep more... human, and I saw a fragile and scared side that I missed greatly in the first 2 games. I really liked that, and the dreams had this dark premonition of what's to come, it was a really nice touch.

Before I played the ME series last year, one of my high school friends got back from Iraq and Afghanistan with a solid case of PTSD.  He told me about some of the flashback dreams he'd had.  Mostly in black, white, and grey, with red being one of the few colors, similar to Shep's nightmares.  It was always about horror and loss, and while it varied, children he saw die over there were in his dreams too.  Always running after them, never able to save them and had to relive the deaths over and over again for awhile, until he got help.

There isn't much color in Shep's nightmares, except for black, white, grey and red.  For the most part, any color on Shep is in shadow and very muted.   The first time I played ME3, my friend's description of his dreams was running through my mind.  I've never had PSTD (thank Odin,) but those nightmare sequences sound like a classic case of shell shock creating havoc in dreams.

Kind of a ho-hum day for Dominic Shepard (Vanguard):

1. Ran around doing a bunch of crap on the Citadel.

2. Flew around the galaxy scanning for crap in a bunch of systems.

3. Traveled to a monastery and blew it up. Stopped Samara from shooting herself.

4. Helped a bunch of Ex-Cerberus scientists escape from a base under attack by Cerberus.

5. Went back to the Citadel to deliver a bunch of crap and meet up with a few squadmates and ex-squadmates.

6. Met with the Quarian admirals and am ready to go take down a Geth Dreadnaught. (No Tali.)

I dabbled a little in ME2 and encountered the one mission that annoys me no end.

The mission is the one where you find the derelict space-ship and have to get its logs before it falls into the ocean.

I just can't stand how it stuns you every few feet.

My next play I am definitely skipping it.

Oh, the feelz!!

I killed killed Legion today for the first time. (Technically, it was Tali that killed him, but it was Shepard's fault for not getting Tali cleared of the charges against her, and for not wiping out the Heretics when he had the chance.) I did not take the renegade interrupt to shoot him. I am very glad. Shepard said he was sorry. Tali told him he has a soul. Both Shepard and Tali were very upset at having to kill Legion. But Tristan knew in his heart that Tali would never forgive him if he let the Geth destroy the Quarians.

(Although I do like the way previous decisions play into the outcome here, it struck me as totally bogus that Tali could not tell Gerral that if he continued to attack he would be wiped out because Legion was uploading the code. Being able to articulate that simple thought seems totally unconnected to whether Tali becomes an Admiral, and whether the Heretics are rewritten or destroyed.)

I don't use any interrupts when dealing with her nowadays. In fact, I used only 1-2 interrupts in my entire playthrough. It's actually quite interesting ;) And I did the same in ME2. Heard the krogan clan speaker's full speech for the first time. It's quite disturbing really :D

Renegade  John Shepard on insanity...

Shepard started the day with the Daratar side mission because some Heavy Mechs are destroying some crates that have valuable resources in them. Shepard died four times with a rocket to the face and didn't even get to blow up one Mech -_-. It didn't help that Miranda and Jacob's powers were weak as they had only rank 2 powers at best and Shepard only had one grenade for the grenade launcher which isn't enough. I realised that this wasn't going anywhere so I abandoned this mission and went back on the recruitment drive.

So Renegade Shepard was sent to prison because the next recruit is a convict. Shepard went to Purgatory with Miranda/Jacob and he told Kuril that he's keeping the gun. Kuril wasn't impressed and angry stares were exchanged. Communication broke down between the two and violence ensued. Shepard did okay against the mercs as he used the dominate ability to turn enemy on enemy and the team released the control lock which resulted in a prison break. Jack was found and she left a trail of destruction and Shepard is not going to be outdone by a prisoner. He went downstairs to find that Jack destroyed 4 Heavy Mechs (whereas Shepard was struggling with the 3 Heavy Mechs on Daratar ). Shepard had a final confrontation which resulted in the death of a warden. Jack and Miranda were introduced where Miranda said that we "should knock her out and take her with us" :pinched:. Shepard lied to Jack about granted access to some files and this convinced her to leave the station.

Back on the Normandy, Shepard shared a brandy with Dr Chakwas and toasted to being drunk :D. Shepard has done enough renegade actions to start seeing red and has the scars to match.

Shepard then went back to the planet Daratar (Yes, I am stubborn ) and died again for the 5th time.

I know this doesn't look like a lot was done today but the Heavy Mech battle attempts lasted awhile.

Yeah, me too.  However, I'd say that him screaming for a good 30 seconds is just about as bad.  I was a good kid in ME2 and heard that long winded krogan go on and on and on... .

I did electrocute the merc in the Archangel mission; I obviously took the krogan headbutt; and I also pulled my gun when the merc recruiter called Shep a stripper.  According to my final ME2 save data, I'm at over 1500 Paragon and a whopping 153 Renegade.   I usually played Paragade in ME2, but since this Shep is a ME version of my goodie-two-shoe Inquisition character, I was more of a good guy than usual.  When I took Valena into ME3, I was at 300 Paragon, and 15 Renegade according to the first auto-save of the game.   :P

I know one Renegade interrupt I am taking in ME3.  I really don't care for the dalatrass, particularly after she asks Shep to screw over the krogan.  I'm a Wrex/Eve fan, so that ain't gonna happen.  So when she calls my character a bully, I will come back and chew her out.  To be honest, given all that Shep's gone through, s/he shouldn't have gotten any alignment points (Paragon or Renegade) for telling that evolved salamander off.

I'll admit, I can be a total sap sometimes.  When I heard Mordin's voice in the nightmare after Tuchunka, I teared up a little.  Then promptly became annoyed because I lost the would-be Starbrat and got stuck in the nightmare.  This was on my first character, Kalya.  It wasn't a bug.  Just me wandering around for about 2 minutes listening to those whispers like a dope while overlooking the kid.  Funny enough, the dead Virmire character still managed to creep me out a bit after that time.  Thane's and Mordin's lost their punch though.

I actually don't headbutt the krogan. The scene plays differently and the following meeting with Uvenk also has different dialogue :) I just don't see my Shepard headbutting a plate armor - he still needs his head lol :D

I always take the Renegade interrupt with Geth VI. "You don't like it, the airlock is that way. Maybe I wasn't clear enough, I'll destroy anyone, anything that works with the Reapers" ;)

Shep did Overlord before she did that sequence.  If she's got enough tech to get hacked, she figures she's got enough metal to where a Krogan isn't going to faze her.  I don't mess with the Geth VI though.

One of my favorite lines in the trilogy is when you meet the Geth VI (didn't meet Legion before) and pick a Renegade option.

"The geth were reprogrammed by the Reapers. I doubt you're an exception"

"Shepard Commander! Wait. We can assist you. The Old Machines are using us to broadcast their signal to all geth units simultaneously."

"And that makes me less likely to shoot you... how?"
