One of my favorite lines in the trilogy is when you meet the Geth VI (didn't meet Legion before) and pick a Renegade option.

"The geth were reprogrammed by the Reapers. I doubt you're an exception"

"Shepard Commander! Wait. We can assist you. The Old Machines are using us to broadcast their signal to all geth units simultaneously."

"And that makes me less likely to shoot you... how?"

And out of likes.   :P

Edit: 4 hours of sleep in 30 hours.  Stupid insomnia.  On the plus side, this helps keep me entertained.

Just finished ME 3 for the 3rd time since it came out. I love this game, the story, and the characters. (I restarted the return mission and am looking at a different ending. I accidentally refused all the choices and wiped everyone out.)

I do hate that now, 3 years later, it seems impossible to get an EMS of 5000+ I really wanted to see Shep live. He and Kaiden living in happiness :(

My real partner will be glad that I'm done

Huh? You obviously have the Extended Cut. All you need is 3100 for the breath scene.

Try having a week old baby. That'll seem like luxury.

I love kids, but I can't have them.   If your little one is like my niece, she'll be sleeping through the night soon.  In the meantime, caffeine is your friend.   :)

Yeah, I was confused too.  I've gotten enough every time I've played.  I explore every inch of the galaxy and do all of the sidequests.  With the EC, that's more than enough for the high EMS ending without touching the multiplayer.

Actually I know what insomnia is like, I used to suffer it incredibly bad a few years ago.
It's not pleasant, you have my sympathies.

Thanks, I appreciate it.  It comes and goes, but I don't let it get me down.   :)

Wow!  Well, I'm glad you're okay now.

This has been happening off and on since I was about 8.  I don't think I've had a tumor for 27 years.  Of course that would explain a lot, but I'm genetically weird.

Shepard started the day with the Daratar side mission because some Heavy Mechs are destroying some crates that have valuable resources in them. Shepard died four times with a rocket to the face and didn't even get to blow up one Mech -_-.

It's so funny that we seem to run into the same problems in ME2. First steam, now this. :P

I did almost all side missions now and will do the Reaper IFF mission next. I still have trouble with the stupid crates. At this point I feel like maybe try once more and if I fail I'll just leave it I guess.

Sooo, I'm nearing the final missions on my Insanity run :)

Boarded the MSV Estevanico today, or well, what was left of it. Recovered the data of the ship and barely made it out alive. What is it with everyone sending me to the most ridiculous death traps?!

After that I had a mech buddy help me shoot through walls and recover some resources. Final little distraction for today was to go help an endangered research station. The sun there created some problems for the shields, but hitting a few switches restored the magnetic shield.

For a bit of quiet in-between I went to see Liara at the Broker Ship. I pried in dossiers on my teammates, watched vids of Udina probably getting aroused by an asari dancer, Udina getting hit by Anderson and my favourite reporter Al-Jilani getting kicked by a volus. Nice!

Had a talk with Feron, got a model version of the Broker Ship and talked to Liara afterwards. She actually made a move on me again. No is still No, Liara. Didn't want to spend "friendly" time with her on the Normandy and left.

Then I took Tali and Miranda with me to investigate this mysterious project Overlord, for which the allmighty TIM asked for assistence. Arrived on Aite and someone called Dr. Archer explained what's going on. Rogue VI again, including virus. And of all things it controls geth. But since we're prepared that doesn't create much of a problem. We took a tram to the dish and antenna to stop the VI from spreading the virus. We made some things go boom and destroyed the dish, almost not seeing the next morning again. Enough with near-death experiences for one day!

Dr. Archer explained that they were trying to communicate with geth by linking a human mind to a VI. It's his brother. That sounds sick already, I don't even wanna know...

But we're here to help, and to actually deal with the main problem at Atlas Station we had to manually override Atlas from two other stations, Vulcan and Prometheus Station.

We first took care of Vulcan Station (Hammerhead is even worse than Mako <_<), then Prometheus, everything went smooth in there.

Located the Atlas Station afterwards and proceeded, while the rogue VI had incredibly much fun with some of the doors...

Took an elevator down and I accessed a panel, but something went wrong. Somehow this VI got inside me and now I see some kind of Virtual Reality, plus I lost Tali and Miranda. I made my way to an area where I learned more about Dr. Archer and his brother David, and how they first tried to communicate with the geth.

I pressed on and finally met the rogue VI. I overloaded and shot at it a lot, stripping down its shields and armor. When it was over the sight filled me with horror and disgust. David is hooked up to the core and has tubes and wires everywhere. Even his eyes are kept open. Dr. Archer arrived, and while he seems to finally realize what he did to David as well he wants to keep him by his side. No way. I sent David to Grissom Academy for a hopefully better life and punched Dr. Archer in the face.

Edit: Hope you're feeling better soon, Natashina!

I'll keep that in mind when I go in for my yearly physical next month.  I think I'm safe though.  Nearly 30 years would be an extremely long time to have a brain tumor.   I have moderate anxiety disorder, and most of the time I can deal with it.  My insomnia acts up sometimes as a result of it though.  I'm pretty sure my problem is mental and not physical.   :)

There's only so much a therapist can do and sleeping pills don't work for me.  I've tried several and none of them were a good idea.  Besides, I can always nap later while my sweet husband takes care of our dogs.

Don't know if you know this, but an ME3 default playthrough with the extended cut installed will not give enough ems to reach 3100 even if all missions are completed. The most the player can get is approximately 2970. If the player does everything and "saves" Anderson, the breath scene will appear since Anderson gives Shepard 200 assets

The above does not apply if dlc's are played since those will give enough ems for the breath scene

No, I didn't know that.  Huh, good thing that I had Javik and Leviathan installed.  I have Citadel as well, but I save that for the very end just before Shep goes to London.   Well, hopefully that tip about Anderson helps the poster out.

For what it's worth, I found both Javik's DLC and Leviathan worth the price.  The stories are good, the combat is fun and it's a great way to get War Assets.  Aria is okay, but I'm not enough of a fan to buy the Omega DLC.   :P

Edit: New screenshots tomorrow.  Lots to tell.  Mild ADD at the moment.  Might play ME3 in a bit.

I'd say flare and lash alone make omega dlc worth it :) The story in the omega DLC was kind of nice because it was less "OMGZ REAPERS" but wasn't much for content, to bad aria or nyreen didn't become perma squadmates or even show up in the citdel dlc combat arena. Okay well flare might not be worth it unless you are okay with modding it with undefined damage but lash a detonator and setup for a bonus power is worth it imho

Shepard started the day with the Daratar side mission because some Heavy Mechs are destroying some crates that have valuable resources in them. Shepard died four times with a rocket to the face and didn't even get to blow up one Mech -_-. It didn't help that Miranda and Jacob's powers were weak as they had only rank 2 powers at best and Shepard only had one grenade for the grenade launcher which isn't enough. I realised that this wasn't going anywhere so I abandoned this mission and went back on the recruitment drive.

...

...

Shepard then went back to the planet Daratar (Yes, I am stubborn ) and died again for the 5th time.

I know this doesn't look like a lot was done today but the Heavy Mech battle attempts lasted awhile.

Easy way to cheese the mechs on Daratar:

This is my EMS score before Cerberus HQ. It's a non-import run, no multiplayer, haven't started Omega, Leviathan and Citadel, finished From Ashes quest. Finished almost all Citadel quests and every mission.

Spoiler

I have genophage sabotaged and geth destroyed.

Album has been updated.

A great final shot of Palaven:

Spoiler

This is why Garrus is my favorite friendship as well as favorite romance.

Spoiler

Remind me again why I keep saving the Council?

Spoiler

I wonder how long Samantha practiced saluting before meeting the Commander to make sure it was just right.  I could picture her doing that in front the mirror.   Not because there was anything wrong with her salute, but because she was that nervous about meeting Shepard.

Spoiler

Ah, I always liked Adams.  Probably one of the nicer crew members of the original Normandy.

Spoiler

Anyone else wonder what exactly causes Liara to call Glyph "info drone" when she's annoyed?

Spoiler

The first time I played, I chuckled at this comment.  I had been thinking the same thing.

Spoiler

EDI's almost too pleased with herself.

Spoiler

This one is kind of neat.  I hadn't talked to the doc yet before the EDI segment, so I had never seen a cinematic of this line before yesterday.

Spoiler

"I missed you Garrus.  I thought about you a lot."

Spoiler

Spoiler

Samantha is proving herself very useful, and I've always liked her more than Kelly.

Spoiler

Shep had to drive that home though.

Spoiler

Next time: Grissom Academy!

This was my final party in ME1.  I might bookend it with having this as my final party in ME3.

I don't use any mods (haven't figured out how to use them) so I guess it should be possible. I scanned the entire galaxy (every cluster is at 100% except those that don't have any percentage attached to them), maybe that counts?
