Welcome back!  The album has been updated with bonus screenshots.

Indoctrinated Jellyfish?  Sounds like the name of a Sy-Fy original movie.  Or a weird techno band.

Spoiler

I think he's got a platonic crush on Kasumi.

Spoiler

Then...what was the point of destroying it if you could piece the important info together without the greybox?  Was this to prevent you from hiding in a dark closet obsessed with that box?

Spoiler

I really like what they did with Kasumi's model for this game.  She looks great.

Spoiler

Um, Kasumi, you were with me when I bought that Fornax.

Spoiler

You know that's a Soul Name to invoke warm fuzzy feelings.

Spoiler

"Please don't let this be a stupid leap of faith."

Spoiler

"Damn it."

Spoiler

I'll admit, I saw this insane logic coming.  I'm surprised it took until the third game.

Spoiler

Um Shep.  Darling.  Dear.  How much stupid have you run into the last 3 years?  You should have seen this coming.

Spoiler

Yeah, I got that.

Spoiler

She's nicer than I would have been.  Cleaner language for sure.

Spoiler

For whatever reason, the splat that follows right after this scene makes me laugh.  I'm morbid sometimes.

Spoiler

Easy War Assets for an easy quest!

Spoiler

I always admired her for this.  I would have had the same answer.

Spoiler

Shep knows how to appeal to Kasumi's good side.

Spoiler

You too.  Sorry that this is all the lines you get.  You were fun.

Spoiler

Next time:  Crazy Asari!  Replacing yet another merc leader with a short lived race!

Renegade  John Shepard on insanity...

Began the day by doing a couple of side-missions with the first being on the planet Canalus. It seems Shepard has a meteorological interest because he chose to investigate some strange weather patterns. There was a Geth presence on the planet and this is the first encounter with Geth for Shepard since the Citadel events 2yrs ago. Shepard succeeded at the mission and stopped climate change :D. The next mission involved a crashing ship full of Geth and Shepard intervened to save a colony.

After these two mini side-missions, The Illusive Man wanted a chat about a Collector ship and he wanted Shepard to investigate. This mission was of crucial importance because Shepard had to assemble a team straight away. Shepard investigated the ship with Miranda and Garrus. Once on board, there was a lot of time for reflection because it was quiet and there wasn't an enemy in sight. The Collector ship is the same ship that was at Horizon and the same one which caused Shepard's death. Shepard also discovered that the Collectors are mutated Protheans. There were some guns nearby and there was an opportunity to learn a new skill. Adept Shepard knows how to handle an assault rifle and it seems that he is a quick learner (Garrus must've gave him a quick tutorial). The crew were ambushed by Collectors and this ambush was effective because Shepard died through a Scion blast -_-. After the ambush, Shepard had seen enough of this ship to last a lifetime so he sprinted towards the exit. Joker tried to encourage Shepard by saying "you might want to make it back here before the Normandy blows in half". This was said in sarcasm but Renegade Shepard hasn't forgot his death from last time. The crew got on the Normandy and managed to evade the Collector ship beam (A pity he didn't do this two years ago :P). Met The Illusive Man again and told him that he has been put on notice and not to try anything like this again. The Illusive Man mentioned the IFF on a derelict reaper but Shepard is putting this on hold because he still needs to assemble a team.

A couple more side-missions were completed such as Mech mining for platinum and saving a colony from solar flares.

Shepard also helped Jacob with his father problem and this resulted in Jacob handing a gun to his father so that he shoot himself in the head.

...You said rod.   :P

Teasing.  It looks alright on my warrior, but just silly on my mage.  I do have a smaller album of my DA:I version of Valena.  She doesn't look like her sci-fi counterpart though.

Warning: Some minor out-of-context spoilers in that album.

Edit: Next time, I'll get back on topic.  ;)

I had to start over (had wiped my 360 and deleted the saves). Finished the first playthrough, but was preparing for a second go around (so I can upgrade the weapons to "X"). First time I picked the refuse ending....... I don't get it. It's just self-defeating.

Update below

For the first time since 2012, I have started a new play through of the saga.  I've decided to make a unique Shepard experience, which will lock me out of certain side quests.

Name:  "Gramps" Shepard, Infiltrator

Disposition:  Grumpy old fart.  A bit of a renegade, but not psychotic.  Will do what is necessary to get the job done, but will not break the law.  He is a loyal servant of the Alliance and Council, but is not afraid to speak his mind.  He fears AI and VI, but willingly uses technology that is not equipped with AI (He refuses to use Avina).   "Gramps" is anti-social and avoids idle chit-chat.

Decisions so far:

- Gramps dealt rudely with a crazy fan, two journalists, and an asari consort.

- Gramps dislikes Krogan, and did not invite Wrex onto the Normandy.

- The mission comes first.  Gramps has no time to chat with his crew, especially the unstable L2 biotic.   However the Asari researcher is attracted to Gramps, and Gramps sees opportunity for R&R.

- Gramps will not kill without cause.  Corporal Toombs was given a chance to surrender, but he had to be put down.

- The Batarian threat has been defeated and Terra Nova was saved.  Gramps captured Balak and rough him up for killing the hostages.  Balak will be turned over to the Alliance for interrogation.

- Administrator Anoleis was found breaking the law (with the help of Lorik Qui'in) and has been arrested.   Also the smuggling operation has been foiled, and the weapons were confiscated by Gramps.

- The Rachni threat has been defeated.  They will never again threaten the galaxy.

- Father Kyle turned himself in.  Gramps bluffed that he would kill all the followers.

- Gramps does not cut deals with criminals.   Helena Blake and her gangsters are dead.

- At Zhu's Hope, Gramps realizes the colonists are innocent and does not allow them to be harmed.  Shiala was allowed to live after she promised to help the colonists rebuild.

- At Virmire:  Gramps loaned the unstable L2 biotic to the STG.  He hopes the STG can whip him into shape.  Unfortunately, Alenko and the STG were defeated while Gramps stayed with the bomb to ensure detonation.

- After Virmire, the citadel council berated Shepard for being destructive.  Gramps told the Turian councilor where to stick it.

- On the way to Ilos, Gramps and Liara enjoyed a little R&R.  Gramps needed the stress relief.

- At Ilos we discovered an ancient VI.  Liara tried to turn it into a research project, but Gramps reminded her that VI are evil and that Saren was was getting away.

Ok, so it turns out I couldn't go back to my save right before going to Tuchanka because I'm an idiot and already saved over it. At least I'm only missing out on a few Citadel fetch quests, so nothing tragic.

Garrus, Liara and I went to Grissom Academy to check out the situation, and Cerberus is trying to kidnap the biotic kids. Not soon in we met Kahlee Sanders, and I promised to get the kids out. We went along, found the first students and sent them to safety. And then we met Jack, she's the kids' teacher! Would've never expected her to do something like that, but I'm positively surprised and the kids seem to like her. Jack greeted me with a punch in the face. Well thanks. But she looks good, and we exchanged a few sentences, then went on to business and got rid of more Cerberus (again, grenades are not my friend, and neither are turrets apparently, walked in one's sight and paid the price ). Then we met David Archer again, nice to see that kiddo doing so well. In the next area I boarded an Atlas and everything went wild, that was fun! Everyone made it out and we can use the biotic students for a support role in the war.

Then EDI, Liara and I went straight for the Citadel, to fight more Cerberus. These guys are NOT annoying at all

Thane is on the move too, and we cleared out the first area of C-Sec HQ, then talked to Bailey. We proceeded until we eventually found the Salarian Councilor, who claimed that Udina is somehow involed, but an assassin is onto him. In came Thane and they had a fight, and the drell got critically injured while that man fled. Damn, Thane, that doesn't look good, you got me really worried there.

We went on to find the Council, getting rid of more Cerberus goons. We ended up taking an elevator top as our ride, taking enemies on as we went up, then I jumped on the elevator in which the Council is currently getting away. Someone shot at me (Gee, Kaidan, watch it!).

It all led to a showdown, and then Kaidan and I stood opposite each other, weapons drawn. I don't want this! I lowered my gun and explained how this is all Udina's doing and that Cerberus is waiting for them right behind the door we just sealed. After a few intense seconds Kaidan put his trust in me and pointed the gun at Udina. Udina knocked the Asari Councilor down and pointed his gun on her. Kaidan shot him and I ran over to him. He said he's good.

The door behind was breached open and out came Bailey. Apparently all Cerberus activity seemed to have stopped. Back at C-Sec I asked Bailey about Thane and went straight for the hospital, but it looks grim. Kolyat is with him and he finished a prayer for him. I joined in while Thane... Goodbye, my friend, it was an honor to have fought by your side. Now excuse me, but there's something in my eye...

On my way out I met Steve, hanging out in the docking bay. We had a talk about starships, and the topic once again went back to his dead husband. Steve might do something on the Memorial Wall for him, to finally let go.

Kaidan waited for me at the Normandy, and we talked about what happened. We put everything behind us and he let me know he will never doubt me again and has my back. Thanks, Major. And now move that ass of yours back onto the Normandy, you were sorely missed.

When I reach the save limit I quick save where I am and cut/paste the others into a new folder and carry on. I don't know if you are on a console or not but it is possible with the 360 version too, just takes a little more effort.

I play on PS3 :) I don't think I have reached the save limit yet, but I usually have a Normandy save right before each main mission, so I could go back in case I missed something. And as it was, I apparantly had saved my post-Tuchanka game by using the Normandy save before Tuchanka. So it's gone -_- Any other save before Tuchanka was 3 or more hours away and I definitely won't go back for just a few fetch quests then :D

But interesting point you make about copying save files. I should make a backup of everything, hehe.

I just got done with a 360 playthrough. I made a habit of saving at each main map (and few points on the Normandy before missions)... got to like 29 saves. That's more than enough for me.

I usually save before all my favourite scenes/interesting crew talks, so I have like... a lot  Of course I try somehow delaying some dialogues so I can group as many of them together as I can, but it's still a lot, haha.

It was so hard during ME1 as it only grants 10 save slots (I think it was 10).

Welcome back!  Today, I run the most unhinged Asari in the series while dealing with the Eclipse.

I apologize for the length of the last update.  I'll try to keep them trimmed down.

Today has been an exercise in frustration. Continued Dominic Shepard (Vanguard), but with a lot of difficulty and anger. And a lot of yelling at my TV.

First off was the Ambush mission of the Citadel DLC. I have always said that the Hades Cannon mission was the worst mission in the game, but that is because I keep forgetting about the ambush. You spend then entire game developing a playstyle, then they force you to use a fake Supressor. I ended up having to cheese Nova-cancelling to get out of there alive.

The Casino job went without a hitch of course.

Next was the Citadel archives. Started off using the Raider, but had to reload when I was not liking it and switched back to the Claymore. Later, one of the spawns got screwed up and I could not progress so I had to reload an autosave which fixed it. Then later the game threw me another curve at the spot where the four CAT6 Heavies come in on the elevator. The game would not let me charge them, which led to more stupid deaths which should have been avoidable.

The Dry Docks and Normandy CIC went off without a hitch.

And then I spent about 30-45 minutes trying to beat the clone before I shut the Xbox off in frustration. The clone fight is always the same: either I beat it on my first attempt, or I spend over an hour trying and dying. i am regretting not switching my bonus power from Slam to Fortification before playing the Citadel DLC; it would have made things a lot easier.

And it is always stupid stuff that seems to be killing me. The clone killed me once because the Medi-gel pickup got in the way of my lock-on. Several times I died because I charged into a grenade cluster. A few times a CAT6 Heavy killed me because EDI is not smart enough to understand that Overload will remove their Omni Shields (this is what happens when I do not map powers; squadmates are just dumb).

Back on Illium today to recruit Thane, and Shep stopped by the bar to help out a quarian slave. He and Tali tag-teamed the Synthetic Insights rep and convinced her to buy the slave by accusing her of being racist. Shep loves accusing people of stuff – it always works in his favour!  ^_^

In the Dantius towers, they encountered a lot of salarians in need. There was one by the doors who was bleeding out, so Shepard decided to give him some medigel. He didn't have anything helpful to say. Felt good though! It seems the assassin has been locking salarians inside sealed rooms to keep them safe. That’s very thoughtful. Though, if he never came back... how would they get out? Yeah, they should probably be more grateful that Shep’s here to free them. Garrus his very impressed with his sniping though – seems Thane has a fan.

The best thing about fighting people on a windy bridge is biotics. Pull + Throw = Waaaaaaah! Shockwave, Singularity. Ah, it’s the best!   :P Garrus even got in on the action with his concussive shot. “And stay down!” Approximately 5 miles down, I think! Unfortunately, Jack’s not here to appreciate the hell out of pushing guys through windows.

Thane said that Nassana thought that one of her sisters was coming for her. Wait. Does that mean there’s more than two of these Dantius arseholes in the galaxy? Jeez. Naturally, when Thane shared the details about his illness, Shep showed the same tact he showed Joker two years ago. You’re not contagious, are you?!  :pinched:  Smooth, Shep. Really smooth.

Kelly was very pleased to have a new crew member. By this point it seems her job is to troll Shep about messages, refuse to feed his fish, and talk about how she wants to bang everybody. She’s convinced that Tali fancies Shepard. But... that can’t be right, can it? Nah... There's no way that will lead to awkward conversations later.

Oh gods, I hadn't thought of that.  And since Asari can be so long lived, I could see another Dantius in the next ME game.  If she's anything like her sisters, she might not live long after she meets the PC.   :P

I'm using Sera, Cassandra and Dorian too. Just gave Blackwall an airing; he bad mouthed Dorian so he's getting ditched - warden artefacts be damned.

Cassandra is swiftly climbing the likeable chart, I think her character is very interesting.
