It's a great game. But not as godlike as fervent Bioware haters would have you believe.
And you really need to take some massive steps back in time. The pathfinding, for instance, is absolutely horrible. And the highest difficulty, especially in the beginning and during the final fight, is mostly a matter of getting lucky dicerolls. So glad Bioware left that stuff behind.

Welcome back!
Today, I'll be meeting up with Miranda.
Aye, that it has. Although, what happened to the black leather outfit I got for you?
So complicated that it takes a DLC to explain.
Well, it was all for show anyways.
Heh, that's true. What a minute! What's the Butt-Cam doing here? I thought I destroyed that thing.
I guess it's a bit late to tell people, "I told you so."
No kidding Miri.
I think your father threw in the Bad Luck gene for you and your sister.
Wow, really? Huh, I think I've gotten used to playing galactic babysitter.
Actually, most of the movies I've seen make life on the run look crappy.
Again, Shep, why are you surprised by this?
Just like Henry the 8th.
Next time: My favorite foul-mouthed NPC in the entire series!

I'm liking the way the romances are more than the choose three be nice options that mass effect was.

I can really see the progress in the writing and in the style of the romances between ME and DA. I enjoy the ME romances, but I like the DA:I ones a little more. Organic is a very good word for it. ![]()

There's a thought. Have the DA writers write ME games or at least the romances in ME

Well, I found out why I missed Kaidan's dialogue in the Starboard Observation Deck. It simply didn't trigger because I talked to him last, after all other squad mates. Kaidan, are you sulking because I talked to you last? Ever heard of save the best for last?
Anyway...
After talking to Kaidan and learning that his Dad's MIA and he thinks about his Mom, he, Liara and I went to investigate a Cerberus Lab to recover some artifacts. We met resistance of course and fought our way through, until Steve could extract us with the shuttle again.
Upon returning to the Normandy everyone still seemed to be in dire need of some quiet time after what Cerberus did on the Citadel. I guess now's really a good time to hang out with everyone. Who knows when we get another chance?
Back on the Citadel I met EDI and Joker at the Purgatory Club again, James got a tattoo and told me he'll go for N7, Steve left Robert's recorded message at the Memorial Wall and I comforted him, then I went to the Spectre Office and contacted Miranda to learn that her father is doing some work for Cerberus, and I told her about Kai Leng.
After that I took care of some things. Spoke to Captain Sommers and pardoned a C-Sec Officer that helped Cerberus during the coup to gain intel, then helped C-Sec Officer Noles tracking Batarian codes, when someone put a gun in my back. It was the Batarian Balak, and he's out for revenge. However I could make him leave and he even added the Batarian fleet to our war, tehe. I repaired some sabotaged Medi-Gel dispensers, and I stumbled upon good ol' Conrad, who heroically saves me from a shot fired by a contact of his. He didn't die though. Jenna, who I got out of Chora's Den a few years ago, sabotaged the contact's gun before. Well, it pays off to have people that have your back! Then I tracked down suspected Cerberus informant Din Korlack, which eventually led me to Zaeed. However, he had a fight with some mercs and dies in front of my eyes.
That was enough action again and I went to shoot some bottles with Garrus. We had a good time on top of the Presidium an reminisced about our time together. It's good to have him on my team, I've always considered him a friend.
Liara also wanted to see me and she told me about growing up, and about her mother. We agreed that we will stay friends (I knew where you were going, Liara, you just wouldn't give up, would you
).
Finally I met Kaidan at Apollo's Café and we had a good talk. He reminisced about his parent's place in Vancouver, then I found out he's not sleeping well at night. Well, tell me about it...
He seems to regret that he focused too much on a career, and I get it. I did the same. He sheepishly admits that he might want something more with someone he already cares about. Ever since that flirting comment back in the hospital I thought about the possibility of this. I asked Joker if he would regret not going for EDI, and before I regret not having tried this, I tell Kaidan I'd like that. It does feel right, after all this time.
After this evening I returned to the Normandy and had a really good night's rest.

Revvie, Kaidan and Tali went to Rannoch for the last time. Revvie is still mad at Legion because he lied to her about the Geth Primes and then the Reaper code. But he helped the squad infiltrate the base and then we found a reaper instead.
Walau weh... that's a big reaper who can't aim right. Revvie died a couple of times because the power-that-be was too impatient. But she did the job right in the end.
Then the thing began to talk dirty with Revvie. After it died, Legion pout at Revvie and she let him upload the code.
Then she yelled "you want to kill yourself, suit yourself. I'm done helping you" at Han'Gerrel and miraculously that work out well too.
But Legion had to go ![]()

Traynor: I had the vender engrave your initials in the toothbrush. Commander Linda Shepard.
me: If you're hoping to get brownie points for that, its working
Traynor: Before I go Commander. Grissom Academy is in trouble.
me: What should we do?
Traynor: We need to rescue the students Commander.

Today I rescued Jacob and Hawke Dr. Cole from Cerberus and I gotta say, nothing is more amusing than using a Lift Grenade to toss a group of baddies on higher ground even further up into the air, then using Singularity while they're in the air, and then setting off a biotic explosion with Throw to send them into orbit ![]()

Renegade
John Shepard on insanity...
Shepard wanted to build his team further so he focused his attention on the assassin dossier . Travelled to Illium with Garrus and Jacob and they all heard a broadcast announcement about Thane Krios. So it seems this assassin is being very discrete on Illium
. A familiar name of Nassana was being talked about a lot and sure enough the crew were in a car towards the Dantius towers. Shepard just touched down at the entrance and violence ensued between workers and mechs. A Salarian worker was found in a bad way and Shepard didn't intervene with any assistance. Shepard is solely focused on the recruitment mission as he told the crew that the Salarian "can't help us anymore". Garrus tried to change Shepard's mind by saying it wasn't right leaving the Salarian in that state. Shepard reminded Garrus who was in charge by saying "We can and we will!" so they left. The actual merc battles went smoothly because of Adept Shepard's biotics. Throwing them off ledges, lifting them into holes and singularities resulted in a lot of merc/mech deaths. Eventually came across a lone mercenary and Shepard didn't hesitate to push him outside a window. Had a brief encounter with Nassana and she was willing to pay Shepard off. Shepard would have gladly accepted the money bribe but Thane cut the deal short. Nassana has suffered a similar fate to her sister and Thane was recruited.
Next mission was Garrus's loyalty mission so it was off to the Citadel with Garrus and Samara. Shepard ran into another familiar face in Harkin and he is still as uncooperative as he was 2 yrs ago. Harkin couldn't escape and Garrus shot him in the legs with no objections from justicar Samara
. Next up, Sidonis was similarly shot but he didn't have the luxury of a leg shot. Samara didn't object to the murder so I guess she thought it was justice but she still could be considered as an accomplice so indirectly she is a criminal as well
.
Thanes only been on the Normandy for 5 minutes and he already has a personal favour to ask. It's to stop his son going down the same route of hit man (hit drell). Shepard went back to the Citadel to find a Mouse. Once the Mouse was found, Shepard intimidated him by pushing him on the floor and putting a boot over his neck. Mouse unsurprisingly complied and even offered Shepard money for the VI profits. Mouse squeaks out a name of Elias Kelham so it was off to the interrogation room. Shepard opted for the "bad cop" routine and said "I'm a Spectre". The interrogation was over in less than a few seconds and it is now known that Kolyat is targeting a politician. The next stage of the mission was for Shepard to sneak along the walkways
. He was getting the hang of the ninja skills but then a worker caught him. Shepard convinced him there was a bomb and continued the pursuit of the politician. At the final showdown, Shepard killed the politician in front of Bailey (not his smartest move). Everything turned out though as Thane is loyal and Shepard got away with murder in front of a C-sec officer.
Shepard had time to chat to two Asaris nearby by bragging about human superiority. "When you want a problem solved ask a human!" was not the most persuasive argument but one of the Asari had a snipe back with "Like you fixed the council!"
. Shepard attempted to apologise but they ended up arguing again. The third time was a charm as the Asari told Shepard about her problem. Shepard gave the Asari Geth an ID so that they can be on their way.

Since I don't want to spam the thread too much, I've got Valena's game on hold while I slowly add to the LP. I'm about to go to Sanctuary, and I'd rather try to catch up here first. So I started another Infiltrator in the meantime, one that isn't so photogenic. I'm starting with ME1, since I found an excellent slider code for a lady Shep. The author has a facecode and headmorph for ME2 of the same character and one for ME3. I'll finally have the same face consistently in all three games. ![]()

Oh, I did find a way to unlock this via the console. It shows up as invisible when equipped, but it's insanely effective. That ammo (simply called X) and the Harpoon ammo were dummied out of the game. http://masseffect.wi...i/Ammo_Upgrades
![]()
Since I had to hunt for the console command for the X ammo, I thought I'd share it.
For PC gamers, the console code for the X ammo is:
GetItem Self 10 manf_Spectre03_weap
For the Harpoon Ammo, it's:
GetItem Self 10x_WAmmo_Harpoon
Note: You can also acquire an insane armor boost that you can equip to your ammo slot of your gun. Since I can't upload my own screenshots of ME1, you'll have to trust me. If you're curious, try this:
GetItem Self 10 manf_Spectre03_armor
I preferred the ammo boost, but try it out and see how it works for you.

I don't have it
But I use Adrenaline Rush to fire two consecutive shots from Mantis
I'm also using Decoy. Proved quite useful in Cerberus Lab, Cerberus Attack and Turian Platoon missions
The test build is this
Adrenaline Rush: 1,2
Disruptor Ammo: Damage, Headshots, Damage
Combat Mastery: Damage, Headshots, Weapon Master
Fitness: Durability, Shield Recharge, Durability
Decoy: Durability, Recharge Speed, Shields and Duration
I spawn Decoy and then swap position a little to the side of it. The enemies keep shooting the decoy while I pick them one by one. So far ammo is the biggest concern, thinking of Kestrel Helmet, Armax Arsenal chest and legs for extra 30%, as well as intel bonuses. I take shields down in one shot and then Garrus detonates tech combo with his Concussive Shot. Might add Frag Grenades for extra armor damage.

Well, crap. Here I was planning to romance Kaidan all along, but when I told him "hey, how about a threesome?" he stormed off all angry and now I've got Liara wanting to have a "private conversation." I thought I would get a chance to actually, you know, make a choice. But, nooo, Kaidan never even gave me a chance.
Jeez, Kaidan, lighten up dude. Maybe I should fire up DA2 for a threesome with Zevran and Isabela.
