Well, what could've possibly gone wrong when heading out to dinner with Joker? Everything, apparently. Alliance Staff Analyst Maya Brooks came in and warned me about some mercs wanting to kill me, and seconds later they already attacked and I was hunted down by them. The chase led me through Citadel's Underbelly and I ended up in a Skycar lot. I met up with Kaidan and surprisingly, Wrex joined moments later! Joker got us out of there and we returned to my new apartment. I talked to my squadmates while Liara traced the weapon I had taken from the mercs to an arms dealer called Elijah Khan. He also owns the Casino on Silversun Strip, so Kaidan, Maya and I dressed up and infiltrated the place nice and clean. But when we got to Khan's office, he was already dead. His terminal's drive has been wiped, but we'll see what data we can still salvage.

We once again returned to the apartment and EDI found clues about the Citadel Archives, so we headed there next. In there we met... my clone. ****** Cerberus.

Kaidan, Garrus and I fought off some mercs and we proceeded through the Archives, the whole team being split up and hunting that clone thing.

After some time we tracked him down, but unfortunately the 3 of us landed in a trap, and Brooks is working together with the clone. Traitorous b*tch. Before they leave I told the clone that noone steals my ship. Not even me. (hahaha, love that line :D)

We're trapped in a vault and we discussed "I should go." and "calibrating" before Glyph got us out. Ok, the time for revenge is here. Joker flew us to the Normandy, where we found my poor Space Hamster in CIC, clony intends to send him to an animal shelter! Over my dead body.

We fought the clone, Brooks and more mercs, and after some time (4 tries ) we finally beat him. I tried to help him, but he sees he's got no friends who have his back. Too bad, eh. Brooks tried to run and Garrus shot her. Not really sad here either.

Back in the apartment Joker tried to set up a party for me, but I'll think about it first. Most important thing right now is to spend some quality time with my crew and old squadmates before everything goes to hell.

So I had a drink with Miranda, a talk with James about his N7 tattoo, went to Blasto's film set with Javik, watched Traynor play "Space Chess", helped Garrus flirting with a female turian (sorry, Tali!), helped EDI shop for gifts, listened to Liara playing piano, watched a movie with Tali, rode a shuttle with Steve, got Grunt out of his arrest, played a game with Jacob, held a funeral service for Thane with Kolyat and everyone that knew him, made up stories about people with Samara, let Traynor use the hot tub, watched a biotiball match with Steve and James, had a nice evening out with Miranda (that dress though...), had dinner with Kaidan and cuddled on the sofa, aaaand witnessed Joker telling the story of his life to a bartender.

And yes, of course I threw that party, we've earned it! Everyone came and I told Glyph repeatedly to keep the energy up. We go out with a bang! It was great and everyone was having fun, countless drinks were consumed, we danced, took a photo, and then it was time to call it a night. Woke up next to Kaidan and headed down for breakfast, talking to everyone to make sure they're ok. I wish this night could've lasted forever. But we returned to the Normandy to pick up our duties again. Kaidan spent the night before we hit Cronos Station and I had that dream again. I don't have the best feeling, but Kaidan gives me strength.
EDI insisted to come to Cronos Station and she's got a good point, so her, Kaidan and I landed and were caught immediately in the fight. We proceeded through the station without any problems. At some point we reached a giant structure - that crazy Illusive Man salvaged parts of the Baby Reaper we destroyed at the Collector Base. It's creepy to see it and we press on to find the Prothean VI Leng stole back on Thessia. The VI explained that the Catalyst is the Citadel, but it has already been moved into the Sol System so the Reapers can protect it. Great.

Then we had our sweet revenge when Kai Leng arrived. I killed that bastard with my omni-blade. For Thane, *******.
Upon returning to the Normandy I spoke to all my crew members again and Tali and Garrus finally found each other.
I retired to my cabin, watched my fish and played with hamster for probably the last time while London lies ahead of us.

Starting a Vanguard.. this time with Alenko. I still have a few achievements to unlock in ME1 and ME2 anyways (just one left for ME3... for overloading shields).

I still like using the default earthborn/sole survivor for biotics... kind of coincides well with Kaidan and Jack, about pain unlocking power. Colonist works too.

Continuing to postpone my Flare Infiltrator playthrough.

Loaded up some old saves on my favorite Infiltrator and played a few missions. I want to do a third playthrough with her. Or would that be my fourth with her? I still need to max my weapons to X. I probably could have if I had upgraded my weapons correctly.

Then I loaded up an Engineer playthrough I had not finished yet (NG+). It is a multiplayer Human Engineer-style playthrough that uses Combat Drone, Overload, Incinerate, and AP Ammo. capn233 called it the Combat Engineer. I actually started my playthrough about the same time he started his, but I never finished mine. I moved on to something else at the time, but I cannot remember what it was. I blew up a monastery and shot Falere. Then I got a Fuel Reactor up and running again; decided to save Captain Riley because why not?

Downloaded Skyrim and becoming mod crazy. Had Kaidan and Tali as followers (I can marry them too~~) but I remember why I stop playing the game years ago...... and I mod ME again (SweetFX, Maya Brooks uniform. Jack casual, Miranda Armor.. Cinematic mod in ME1 and ME2) and then... sigh.. I don't really feel like replaying ME1/2... so I'm redoing Renegon Revvie again.

I'm starting a new game plus, my first for Mass Effect 3 (I've never done one on ME2 either).

What changes am I likely to encounter?

You can upgrade guns to level X, you won't find mods that are already at V, you can get a Prejek Paddlefish intel bonus (+10% for weapon or power damage) if you had that fish in ME2 and Kelly saved them. You'll have your armor pieces available right from the start.

X level guns are ridiculously good. For example, Mantis X has a damage of a Widow and is light enough to have the cooldown bonus at 200%. Not to mention its larger clip.

After many dozens of ME2 playthroughs I only last night discovered I could punch a pyjak...so I did:)  What? He was looking at me funny.  Damn it, don't judge me!

Just prior finished the first visit to the Collector ship; playing a vanguard so I picked up that sweet M300 Claymore - Harbinger: Assuming control.  Shepard (charge / shotgun blast to the face).  Harbinger: Releasing control.

Next up: Help Grunt kill a Thresher Maw.  Might need something bigger than a shotgun.  Oh, yeah...you know what I'm thinking.

Wish I had recorded this: I just saw Liara pistol whip a Cerberus Engineer to death on Eden Prime. I was going to shoot him but then Liara started whaling on him and I just had stop and watch.

All upgrades and credits carry over.

If you had models in the previous game, they will  be in the cabin instead of looking for them on the ship

Zapp B. Shepard

Vanguard/sole survivor/failshep

With Liara and Noveria out of the way, Zapp decided it was time to head back to the Citadel.  After bumbling his way through Rear Admiral Mikaelovich he decided to visit the consort.  Zapp managed to solve her problem and was rewarded with some words, Zapp confusingly asked if that was all and to everyone's surprise she then further rewarded him with snu-snu.

Zapp: "Kaiden, I have made it with a woman, Inform the men!"

After that, it was off to Feros.  Zapp killed some geth and a giant venus flytrap and once again saved the day for the colonists!.  Or...  he would have if most of them weren't dead.  But serves them right for being mind controlled against their will.  But that's their problem and it's now off to Virmire.

Before they arrive though, Zapp is confronted by Ashley and Liara.  Zapp likes where this is going.  Unfortunately, rather than a little snu-snu-snu, they are angry that he hasn't chosen one of them as his significant other.  Zapp says he loves it when women fight over him and suggests they settle this together in his chambers.  Ashley gets disgusted and storms off, but luckily for Zapp, Liara is naive enough to not know a sleazebag when she sees one.

On Virmire, things don't go quite as planned.  Wrex is a little angry, so Zapp tries to calm him down.  Naturally, this makes things a lot worse, so Zapp shoots Wrex.  After all, Zapp can't have someone who puts their species ahead of their commander's pride on his team.  After that, he sends Ashley with the Salarians and Kaiden with the bomb.  One stormed base later, Zapp is left with a tough choice between going back for Kaiden, and saving Ashley.  Not wanting to climb anymore stairs, Zapp decides to take the elevator back down and rescue Kaiden.  Saren has the decency to park his glider over some highly explosive containers, so Zapp makes quick work of him and then escapes on the Normandy.

Now it's off to the citadel to talk with the council.  This meeting might be a little awkward for Zapp, and he ponders what he is going to say now that he can't just hang up on them.

It was Mordin’s mission today. Slapping vorcha with a singularity is just hilarious. Grunt will punt them with his concussive shot, or Shep will throw them. Then they’ll get up and run right back into the singularity. I guess they like the washing machine effect – swirling round and round and round? Well, no one ever said vorcha are smart!  :P

Shep was strangely confrontational about Mordin’s work on the genophage, despite having previously approved. “How can you support the genophage, Mordin? Just look at what it did to Tuchanka!” “Nope, the krogan actually put themselves into a nuclear winter before the salarians even uplifted them.” Ha, burn.

Mordin grew very sombre when he discovered a dead female krogan. The desperation of her sacrifice clearly made him feel guilty about what he’s done. Tough position to be in. And of course, he said the line “Had to be me. Someone else might have gotten it wrong.” Agh, I’m tearing up a little! Shepard reassured him that Mordin made the right call, and they moved on.

I’m not sure he was entirely over it though, because then he charged a krogan. Really Mordin? Really? We have a krogan right here for charging. But Grunt’s staying back. He wants Mordin to realise his true krogan potential! Mordin must be tougher than I thought, because he managed just fine. It helps that the enemies were alternately frozen or burning when he rushed them.

Krogan are actually pretty rude, shouting “Try a real man’s weapon!” at Shepard all the time. No thanks, guys. Shepard will keep his trusty Locust and you can keep the Overcompensator 3000.

Finally, Mordin confronted Maelon. I was tempted to go blue and make Mordin hold fire. But Shep would want Maelon to pay for the experiments he’s done (including what happened to the poor Urdnot scout). So it's a boom – headshot solution to everyone’s problems lately. Poor old Mordin. On the plus side, they kept the data, in case it would ever come in handy. And not for meta reasons at all.

Strangely, another smart salarian mailed Shepard back on the ship. Chorban! He’s two years too late, but he figured out the secret of the keepers and the Reaper signal. Big surprise – no one on the Citadel will listen to him. Shep will have to remember your name, and recommend you for any big Reaper-stopping projects that come up.

Renegade  Adept John Shepard on insanity...

Shepard went to the Migrant Fleet to help with the Tali Treason Trial. He also brought along Samara because it seemed apt to have a justicar involved in a trial. Once docked, Shepard was tasked with representing Tali at the trial which isn't the ideal solution as he hasn't shown a diplomatic/tactful side. His opening gambit was to remind the Quarians that Tali saved the galaxy from Saren (which was correct because she pulled the final trigger in the Saren fight). The trial itself deteriorated as a bombshell was revealed about Tali's father and Shepard didn't appreciate the way this information was revealed. The Admirals said that Tali could go to the Alarei to try and find evidence. Shepard had a conversation with Veetor who was traumatised through his experience with Cerberus. Shepard tried to defend Cerberus :pinched: much to Tali's surprise. The Alarei was full of Geth but these encounters went by without a hitch (no deaths) mainly due to Tali's AI Hack ability. Shepard's team discovered that Rael was experimenting weapons on the Geth. It was too late to stop him though as his body was found. Tali wanted this whole business to remain a secret. Back at the trial, Shepard said that it was a farce and threatened to walk away and the Admirals cleared Tali of the charges. Shepard's parting words of wisdom was to tell the Quarians to go to war.

Edi and Joker wanted to test the IFF so Shepard left them to it. The Normandy was left in the capable hands of Joker. It didn't go to plan though as the Collectors attacked. Joker made his way to the AI Core and on his journey he noticed a praetorian using an elevator!. The crew got abducted but the Collectors left the Krogan tank. It's a good thing the Collectors are human focused or they could have destroyed a potential resource there and then. Shepard returned to the Normandy and blamed everything what happened on Joker. Joker responded by being a bit snippy but later apologised. Shepard replied in his usual 'charming' way "Damn right your sorry!". Shepard decided to immediately pursue the Collectors.

Shepard has achieved his goal of being a full pure renegade (the renegade meter was full) and he checked the engine room with Miranda

Next up was the Suicide Mission, the Normandy went through the Omega 4 relay and encountered a huge mechanical eye. It was hostile and got destroyed. I forgot to upgrade the Kinetic barriers and Kasumi died in the engine room :(. The Normandy navigated the debris field and reunited with an old friend of the Collector Ship. The Collector ship was blown up so all of Garrus's calibrations paid off! Crash landed on the Collector Base and came up with a plan for a ground assault. I decided to choose team members that I wouldn't normally to see what happens. The first decision was the vent and Shepard chose Thane to do this task. Shepard chose Jack to lead the second team and Miranda replied "You've got to be kidding me!". Shepard brought along Miranda and a non-loyal Samara as his personal team to assault the Collector Base. Thane died with a shot to the face :(. The rest of the Normandy crew were found alive and they returned to the Normandy with Mordin. Jacob was tasked with putting up a barrier to avoid the seeker swarm and Jack was head of the diversion team. Jacob was doing well with the barrier to begin with but began to tire. Miranda, Samara or Adept Shepard decided not to help him and Jacob continued on. Shepard encountered a scion and some husks and died twice. Jacob couldn't keep going with the barrier and Samara got swept away with the seeker swarm :( (She could've put her own barrier up or have a Miranda/Shepard assist). Met up with the second team and Jack died :(. Shepard pushed on through the base with Jacob and Miranda. The human reaper was destroyed and the Collector Base was saved. Shepard had a conversation with The Illusive Man and told him that "we need each other" to stop the Reaper threat. Shepard then reflected on the 4 team members he lost which was probably similar to his ruthless mission on Torfan.

Shepard still has missions to complete though such as the Shadow Broker and agent Kenson. He also bought some fish because he can be a responsible fish owner now that the Collectors have been dealt with :)

Arman Shepard blasts through the galaxy, clearing all the crazy quests that seem to sprout out of nowhere.  Having recruited Liara, he goes off to flirting Ashley but then realized maybe Liara would've been a better choice.  But embarrassing the blue alien for trying to hit on him was equally fun.

Arman's next stop was Noveria where he finds a whole lot of trouble with Anoleis and his goons.  After getting the salarian arrested for being such a d-bag, he goes to stop Benezia while tagging Liara along just so that she could personally see her own mother be a total traitor.  Shepard shows no remorse and killing Liara's mumsie and strangely enough, Liara doesn't seem to be affected by that either (Way to go BioWare writers!).

Next stop was Feros.  Arman helps out Zhu's hopelessness and then suddenly, he found himself in the land of darkness.  He could not move, nor interact with anything.  The only sound he could hear was strange powerful fans blowing in his face.

Turns out the laptop died and there was no way for Arman to start it back up to resume his adventures. :(

So long as your hard disk is OK, your saves and screenshots should be fine. Of course, getting the data from it might be... problematic.

This is it! Familiar sentence

Hackett got the fleet ready and Liara, Kaidan and I set foot onto the streets of London. Right into the action killing Reaper forcers on our way to disabling a Reaper AA cannon. After successfully doing so we were swarmed and got picked up by a shuttle just in time. Hello, Anderson, nice to see you still alive and kicking. We touched down in the FOB and I had some hearty last conversations with my squadmates. What would I do without them? (I refused Liara's gift though.)

But then it was time to part ways. I picked my besties to join me in the final assault. Kaidan and Garrus, I wouldn't wanna do this without them. We moved through the ruins of London, taking out more enemies on the way, until we came across a Thanix Missile truck. The plan was to shoot down that big Reaper parked in front of the Citadel beam. Of course it didn't work out the first time, and the Reaper was lured into getting closer.

It took some time until the second pair of missiles was ready, and when EDI gave the signal I ran (maybe foolishly) through the enemy lines. I hit the button and we took that bastard down this time.

The way was clear. In a very very desperate attempt (seriously, what were we thinking?!) to just run across the battlefield dodging Harbinger's attacks and trying to reach the beam, Kaidan and Garrus got into an explosion. I must've not been thinking straight as I called the Normandy for evac! Imagine what would've happened if she was shot down! But my luck so far hasn't disappointed. I got Kaidan to safety and he pleaded to not leave him behind. Believe me, I would kill to have you along, but I can't risk it. Love you.

I had some sheer dumb luck throughout this entire journey, so obviously it needed to end at some point. Got hit by Harby's laser, it's bad, but I'm still alive. I took down 3 husks and a marauder and then finally entered the beam. I found myself with lots of human corpses when Anderson called in. He made it up too, but he ended up somewhere else. Eventually we met up and we both look like sh*t, but that was topped by the Illusive Man... his face...

He's indoctrinated and keeps talking about controlling, even had success with me as I shot Anderson in the process. No way. I shot the Illusive Man in return and opened the Citadel arms, then Anderson and I had our last conversation ever.

The Crucible had docked successfully, but nothing happened. I was moved up on a platform and met the Catalyst. It looks like that kid I couldn't save...

After presenting me with 3 choices, and what each will do, I did what I came to do. I shot a red tube to destroy the Reapers and there was a boom. Sorry, EDI.

I remember nothing after that except feeling the breath return to my lungs. I made it.

Can't believe it's over! Lots of :crying: at the end again.

Bye bye Adam Shepard! Insanity run was fun with you. Never thought I could actually get this done

Spoiler

Of course, the cycle must continue, so stay tuned for the adventures of Hannah Shepard :)

Still procrastinating on my Flare Infiltrator playthrough. I was thinking about recording the playthrough (combat only), but I am not sure. My original plan was to not record any of it. Maybe I will record a few missions. Or maybe not. I am indecisive.

Decided to continue my Combat Engineer instead (NG+):

1. Found an ancient refrigerator with a frozen Prothean inside. We defrosted him. He should come in handy when we take on Sovereign's half-brother Sluggard.

2. Rescued a bunch of whiny Turians.

3. Watched all the same Turians die while disarming a bomb. Good job, good effort.

Time for Miranda’s mission. I forgot how much the camera reeaaaaally likes her backside. She’s wearing armour though, so it’s less noticeable. I love how many canisters are everywhere in this mission, cause you can throw them right into a cluster of enemies! Even better if they’re already caught in a singularity! :P Samara came along, since I figured she was one of the few people who wouldn’t gloat about Miranda’s problems.

It turned out that her oldest friend had betrayed her. Shep let her gun him down (with the marvellous line “I’ll miss you...” *bang* “...figuratively speaking.” ), but convinced her to talk to her sister. He knows all too well that you need to treasure a loving family while you can. You never know when they’ll all die in a batarian slaver raid. Or something. Probably won’t happen to Oriana.

Oriana does not look a great deal like Miranda at all, so her father clearly needs a refund from whoever cloned her. Oh, and possibly a punch in the face.

Pragia seems like a grim place. The rain doesn’t help, but it only got worse inside Teltin facility. The moment the group walked through the door, Jack told them about half-dead children arriving in these crates. She told more of her story as they moved through the place, opening up about her past more than ever before. It’s pretty easy to see why she ended up so... dangerous. Especially when they conditioned her to kill.

Even Zaeed was pretty disturbed by what had happened to the children here – housing them in cells, experimenting on them, killing them. I’ve noticed that the more ruthless team members don’t comment on that first area with the crates, but they all mention the state of the place later. Even Legion will say something like ‘these spaces are inadequate’ about the cells. You know you’re doing a bad job when even a geth knows more about childcare.

They found a fellow survivor called Aresh, but the guy had been completely broken by what happened here. He made Jack look well-adjusted. Shepard encouraged Jack to indulge her killer instincts. “A bullet in the head solves everything.” :pinched: Well... at least there’s no chance of Aresh restarting Teltin.
Bloody Cerberus.

After taking a break from ME for a few weeks due to ME burnout and wanting to try out the DAI DLC and playing some DAI I am now ready to jump back into ME 3 and finish up Tyson's story.  Tyson is currently on Omega helping Aria take back the station.  Also detonated some tech armor with a turian sentinel in multiplayer.
