Read the Evolution comic today :D And jumped right into the next (Insanity) adventure!

I woke up, everything felt like a dream, hazy, blurry, a woman standing over me. Miranda...? All I remember is that the Normandy was torn apart by some other ship. How am I even alive? I remember getting Joker out, then falling. I drifted off again.

I heard someone calling me, it's that woman again. Suddenly I was wide awake when I heard we're under attack. I got up and grabbed a gun, following orders from the woman, Miranda. On my way I met another biotic called Jacob. I tried to ask a few things, but we were under fire and had to take care of some mechs first. At least I know now that most of the crew made it out alive. That means Kaidan, too. We proceeded through the facility, helping a man named Wilson along the way... I recognised him, he was there as well when I first woke up. Jacob decided to tell me the truth and I learned that they work for Cerberus. I'm confused, what the hell is going on? I was dead, but somehow I'm not, and now I'm with these bastards?! ****... but we need to get out now. At the shuttle area we ran into Miranda, who put a bullet into Wilson right away for being a traitor. I'm being asked questions about my past while on the way to meet the Illusive Man. I don't trust this, I don't trust him, but he seems to take the threat of the Reapers serious. I learned that a human colony was attacked and my first task is to investigate what happened there.

We couldn't find anything of relevance at first, but then... couldn't believe it when Tali stood in front of me. What are some quarians doing in a human colony? She told me they are here to find a quarian on his pilgrimage, Veetor. We helped her find him and he seemed deeply distressed. He told us about aliens called Collectors, who abducted the humans in the colony. That looks bad. What are they doing with them?

I sent Veetor along with Tali, as I trust her more than Cerberus, and she promised us Veetor's omni-tool data.

Upon returning I was in for another surprise. While I was informed that no-one of my old squad is available, the Illusive Man got me at least Joker back, and we have a brand new Normandy! I checked out the ship and the crew, learned we now have an AI on board and was surprised to see Dr. Chakwas as well.

I also have my own nice cabin, and I looked at Kaidan's picture for a while. Wonder how he's doing. He thinks I'm dead... I need to find him.

We set course to the Citadel to meet with Anderson. Time to get some answers.

I hated that Miranda and Jacob asked about who I put on the Council. I didn't make any choice in ME1. I went with Udina now and will just pretend this is what happened naturally after ME1 events, without my recommendation

I also died once today because I was taking cover and one of those stupid Fenris mechs trapped me and I couldn't get away from it in time

Reading Evolution too before I start ME3 again.. I haven't read this in awhile. This story is a hoot. Desolas (Saren's brother) is nuts. He makes TIM and Saren look sane.

Today Sandra went to Feros where she got the colony up and running, then shot Jeong, saved the colonists, and spared Shiala.

I can never get enough paragon or ren points to do anything but shoot Jeong  . This was even when I did Feros last.

OK, this is the second time I see Nyreen being called a waste of a good character? What makes you think so?

Because if she'd listened to Aria she would still be alive.

And I defy people to pick a different ending this time. I am.

Looking through the artbook again...

ME3 CIC Concept Art...    With a crew that should've actually been there. /never forget

I'm convinced Jack was meant to be a possible squadmate at one point... just because they gave her a redesign. Looks like she's wearing another possible uniform though. It's here, in the top right.

Those pictures look like Jack and Fenris would make a good pair

I didn't have enough charm points to talk him down this time but there is a chance I would have shot him anyway.  Shooting Jeong is like sparing Shiala or letting Anderson punch Udina.  It is just something that is second nature.

I think her death is kind of symbolic for ME3's ending. All three are symbolic in a way.  Nyreen's concern for others leading to sacrifice, Petrovsky and his antics with Reaper tech are kind like Control.. Aria is a pure fighter to the end. Even when it could lead to instant death (like grabbing that force field. She doesn't know if it will work, but she's "not gonna go out like this").

Probably so. They're kind of similar. Both remind me of Wolverine, in a way. Badass freaks who broke their leash.

edit: Reading the Garrus/Homeworld issue now.

It makes me not want to beat him in his sniping scene. This should really be his niche.

In a way, I think the crazy shock trooper idea fits my soldier better. Pretty much the way a Soldier fights in the Armax mirror match. He's just fast, relentless, and in your face.

...You can do something other than allow Anderson to punch Udina?

You can have him go to citadel control to unlock the Normandy.  I think he fights through a couple of guard or something.  I have only done that once in the seven plus years I have been playing ME 1.

Was doing a UNC mission tonight when I fell into a crevice and couldn't get out.  Had to reload.  Embarassing

You don't need to reload when this happens. Just return to the Normandy and land again. Happens to me all the time.

Silly Mako, flying is for ships. I blame Shepard.

Occasionally getting out can help move the Mako back to a decent place to maneuver, as well, but that requires it to be on even ground. Which it pretty much never is if it's stuck <_<

I had no idea. Somehow I just thought he always punched out Udina, and I've had quite a good number of playthroughs too over the years. I take it having him unlock the Normandy is the "good" way to do things, but it's more fun this way

I didn't even think of that.  Oh well just have to kill a few husks, fortunately I saved the game when I was 2/3 done with the mission.

I'd love to see a stat on what percentage of players picked the Udina option vs the Citadel Control option.  Watching Udina get knocked out is just too satisfying.

I can see why the SR2 has no mako Shepard is a terrible driver lol.  Sandra flipped it over last night when I was doing the Feros mission.   All I did was hit a bump

Yeah I am curious about it as well.  I wonder if we will be able to customize it.  Maybe have options that allow us to prioritize either firepower, durability, or mobility.

I can go to Feros second and gather enough ren points to intimidate him. In order to charm him however, I had to use an imported character with charm maxed out.

Released the rachni queen just to annoy the council.

"How many generations will it take before they wipe us all out?!"

"Three...No, four"

And then Shepard hung up on them and went downstairs to annoy Ashley some more.

Well, when Petrovsky trapped Aria, he taunted Shepard, reminding her that she failed xenobiology and once thought Asari needed other species to reproduce. Aria, while trapped shouted, "Shepard! Did you really think that?"

I've never picked synthesis. In Control, Shepard will still have to listen to people talk about that for a few years, or maybe it will get written in the book about The Shepard. In Destroy, if Shepard survives, she'll have to hear it the rest of her life. Synthesis is her only way out of the torture.

A lot of people choose the same ending over and over. Be different this time.

I picked Synthesis and wiped out the Quarians the first time. I might've killed Padok Wiks too...not sure. I was traumatized by my own bad choices...
