Let me add to what von uber said: you need to take every single blue/red dialogue option when talking to him. The one on Mars is easy to miss because you may skip the initial left-neutral option, in which case you wont get the follow on red/blue option.

I had TIM shoot himself once. After that, I said screw it, I will respond how I feel and shoot the SOB myself. Its my same approach to Jeong on Feros. I talked him down once, then every other time I shot the SOB even when I had enough intimidate/charm points to persuade him. ADDED: Although I don't like the mother's response about how we are now shooting each other in the back. I'm like, "Hey, lady, I didn't shoot anybody in the back. I shot him right in the face!"

I prefer to shoot TIM instead, but I do it by choosing all of the intimidate dialogue. I already convinced Saren to shoot himself. I would kind of expect TIM to be a bit more stubborn than he was. Besides, I think it's much better when he gets cut short with my gun as he's saying that he's the pinnacle of something or other.

I remember reading an article - I think it was on Kotaku - by someone who played a mindless paragon throughout the entire game but missed one of the TIM persuasions earlier on. They were so angry that they had to use a renegade interrupt to shoot TIM or they would simply die. That was what they saw as the big problem with the original ending.

I've never understood how people get so roped in by that.

I wonder if that guy ever played the game again?

I don't  remember all that I did on my first playthrough, but I ended up shooting TIM. I was playing a paragon I know that much.

I'm going to have to shoot the Illusive Man myself this go around. I don't like how the scene plays out like Saren in ME1 if he does it himself.

I like to get all of the available dialogue for that scene. Admittedly, I really like the final exchange between Anderson and Shepard, and it comes with the bonus of TIM's last words.

I've had all the scenes and for more than half the time I let TIM shoot Anderson. I'm not a fan of the 'You did good, child" line.

thanx guys! Probably I missed out the mars or thessia's ones, but I won't be doing anything again for that shepard, and certainly not playing again ME3 because of that. I regret not investigated this before..ah well, maybe my future lady shepard will do this one right.

Raided a Cerby lab for Reaper tech. Saved the Grissom students (+Jack). Rescued "Eve" from Sur'kesh. Reminded Ashley that she left Shepard, not the other way around, and she has no right to be angry that he moved on (why can't femShep tell this to Kaidan?? grrr). Ran around the Citadel multiple times: once for Bau, once for Aria (talked whatshisface into killing Sederis this time) and again for miscellaneous errands and drop-offs. Got my fish back from Kelly (well, not really since it's a NG++ and I already had them, but it's the thought that counts). Also ran around the Normandy several times to talk to people.

Finished my trilogy run. Adept femshep/Liaramance/Destroy ending. Still think Joker should have said, "Screw you guys, we're not going anywhere."

Still feel bad for EDI every time I play a destroy ending. In the majority of my playthroughs, I always encourage EDI to become more alive at every opportunity, and in the end she doesn't even have a say in what happens. Doesn't bother me about the geth quite as much, since the only one I ever really connected with was Legion and he was already dead, by his own choice. The quarians will survive anyway, and I'm sure Xen can come up a not-so-sophisticated VI that can mimic infections.

Also I discovered that I really enjoyed photo-bombing all Allers' Battlespace reports.

lol... I thought I was the only one who did that. I usually run in circles around her the whole time, then go on my merry way without speaking to her.

I just atarted another trilogy run. In this run I will have all female squadmates live and all male squadmates die. In ME1, I will  kill Wrex, let Kaidan die and not recruit Garrus till ME2.

Honey Shepard -  Earthborn/Adept/war hero. I call her "Honey" because my lady friend is a big fan of the James Bond films and wanted me to name her after "Honey Ryder" played by Ursula Andress in the first James Bond film with Sean Connery, Dr. No from 1962.

And thanks to von uber and his nice screenshots of DAO, I started a new playthrough as a female human warrior. So I will both games at the same time.

I usually stare into the camera over her shoulder and imagine shep making faces. I'm sure it increases her ratings.

Playing Mass Effect 1.

I'm on the citadel with my first femshep, Victoria (spacer/survivor), she is a sentinel. Just playing on hardcore difficulty (insanity on Mass Effect 1 is a torture. did it once and never again). Planning to get the krogan ally achievement, and get to liara as soon as possible. This time, I won't neglect the poor liara like I did with my male sheps. She will be a paragon most of the time...except when it comes to bad guys or if anyone touch the Akuze incident.

I "rescued" Jacob's father, for the pistol upgrade, then I did a couple random fire walker missions, got the IFF and blew up a station full of heretics.  Gonna do the Suicide Mission tomorrow, looking forward to reliving in what my opinion is the highlight of the entire series.

Aria and Tabitha Shepard sucked face, then Shepard headed off to Tuchanka and cured the Genophage. One of these days I need to do a paragon playthrough of Omega again. Aria's dialogue is actually more interesting (to me) for a paragon Shepard, but I almost always go for the kiss instead.

I also completed my first Gold Solo in MP. Cain mines rule.

After numerous (like a lot of) normal difficulty runs, I've just begun my first ever insanity ME3 playthrough. Engineer broshep with Miranda as LI. Just about to enter the mars facility, so not too far into it yet. I've almost died once, and I have a feeling I'm gonna get paid back for all those times I bragged about killing all their guys, but it's really more like when Vega decides to join the N7 program and shep says (something like), "now the real work begins."

I'm not going to get a tattoo, but anyone want to take a stab at how many times I'll be reloading a save?

Just remember to take it slow and be conservative.

Also I think the combat section of the forums has an Insanity guide.

Thanks for the tips, I have a feeling I'm going to need that guide later when then brutes, banshees and atlases show up. I've got fortification as my BP, but I meant to take defense matrix for the insta-shields, so I'll fix that when I get control of the Normandy. Going to spec for DR, and use armor, weapon loadout and intel bonuses for cooldown boosts.
