My display driver must hate me. My last Driver installment screwed up my ME3 shadows when Dynamic Shadows was turned on. All pink lines around the place, but I rolled back my driver to a 2013 driver and it's better again. I think this might affect my framerate again in DA:I on PC.

It's funny to think how many Cerberus employees have died on David Archer's behalf. Both in Overlord, then my SM, then Grissom.

My Shep must really like him. He and Jack are gonna adopt him after ME3.

Ready to start Arrival..... and blaze through as quickly as possible. I hate this DLC.

Logan Shepard was treating himself to some downtime in his gilded cage, people-watching, when Jimmy Vega burst in to take him to an Alliance meeting. So after months of being treated like some loose cannon, he gets a baby-sitter to escort him to a hearing, no doubt so he can say “The Reapers Are Coming” for the 100th time. He should get that patented as his catchphrase.  :P

Anderson joined them along the way, and it seems the old guy has been getting bogged down in bureaucratic crap. He’s actually talking like this makes sense! Ashley was hanging around outside too, for an awkward moment. Shep really didn’t want to get into another argument about Cerberus, so he just side-eyed her and headed in.

The meeting of chuckleheads had approximately one minute to be confused, before the Reapers descended on them all. As he and Anderson fought through waves of batarian husks, Shepard considered his choices about Aratoht. Any guilt? Still no.

Despite widespread carnage and panic, it actually felt strangely serene in the city. No screaming, no sirens. It was almost like what Reapers vs robots would feel like. :? The human struggle was brought back to him when he encountered an abandoned little boy.

Anderson decided to stay on Earth. Shep watched with Ashley as the chaos drifted away, but he zoomed in his cybernetic eyes to see the little boy get blown up on a shuttle. He lost his temper when Vega started complaining about leaving Earth. This is about time to pull out the one liner: “You’ve got two ways down: express or coach.” Just ask that merc splattered at the bottom of the Dantius towers.

They moved onto the Mars Archives, where Shepard was treated to more suspicion, courtesy of Ashley. -_- He was actually happy to see Liara, just for the chance to speak someone outside of the Alliance who won’t give him crap about Cerberus. Vega got put on guard dog duty while Shep and the ladies explored the Archives.

Even though it’s only a short section, I love that bit that’s completely dark, with only little torches to provide illumination. That sort of thing always feels atmospheric, especially with the squad talking about how the room was vented with people still inside.

Liara seemed to be trying to make a point about Ashley, but Shep isn’t looking for a heart-to-heart about it. He feels awkward and confused with Ash in the party again, he doesn’t need their interactions analysed by Liara. Of course, then Ashley called him over to reveal the huskified Cerberus soldier, and suggested something similar could have occurred to Shepard. Seriously?? Sure, he might be packing more cybernetics than in the old days, but he’s still 100% free range Shep.

“This is uh... delta... squad.” You’ve got some real acting chops, Shepard. Don’t give up the day job!
They lay in wait for Cerberus. As soon as the train pulled up, Shep and Liara lay two singularities on them and threw grenades at the orbiting troops. The whole batch was dead in a few seconds.

Shepard ended up having an emotionally-charged little chat with TIM. He’s completely frustrated with TIM’s little schemes, and Ashley suggesting he’s still in the guy’s pocket. They ended up chasing Dr Core, who’d taken the data from right under their noses. Despite being perched on some killer heels, that woman can run! Even with his upgrades, Shep was getting winded chasing her, and was pretty sure he was about to lose Core, when Vega rammed her getaway car with the shuttle. It burst into flame. Hell. Now they can’t interrogate her... but she hasn’t escaped with the data, so Shep’s buying the man a drink!  :P

Their victory was short-lived, as Core climbed out of her shuttle. A freaking robot! It grabbed Ashley by the face and started violently slamming her into the shuttle while Shep, Vega and Liara suffered from Apathetic Bystander Syndrome. -_- Shep then gunned down the robot and went to help Ashley before the storm rolled in.

Shepard set her down gently in the med-bay, feeling annoyed by the lack of Chakwas. Ashley was completely unconscious, but he sent up a silent prayer to her god to keep her safe. His last conversation with her couldn’t be “why don’t you believe I quit goddamn Cerberus”. He is going to blast that robot straight out the airlock once they get the data off it. Liara got in his face, saying “Ashley needs medical treatment!” in this loud, slow voice. Yes, thank you, he’s quite capable of understanding.
Next destination: The Citadel.

Kate Shepard

me: What items did you add to your armor and weapon Traynor?

Traynor: I added fade touched titanium. It increases the shield strength by 50% when taking fire. I also put that on your armor. For my weapon I added fade touched platinum. 10% chance to increase tech powers by 50% for 15 seconds. For your weapon, I added fade touched gold. 10% chance for hidden bullets, 5 added shots

me: Excellent. Where were you when I was chasing Saren?

Traynor: I'm here now ma'am.

Steve: Commander! The landing zone is getting overwelmed

me: Ok. Drop us off here.

me: General? I'm here for the Primarch

Corithius: He's dead Commander. If you can take care of the comms, I can locate the next Primarch

me: Ok.

me: Fix the tower Sam while I protect you

moments later

Traynor: All done. Lets get these uglies

me: Wow. That fade touched whatever you gave me is awesome. I see that you did well. Lets get the Primarch

Corithus: You need to find Victus, He's the new Primarch

Garrus: I can help you Shepard. Who's your friend?

me: This is Colonel Traynor. She is helping me deal with the reapers.

Traynor: Well. now. I hope the increase in rank also includes an increase in pay.

me: Colonel sounds better than Specialist. Take me to Victus, Garrus

me: Traynor! Take out the brutes, I'll get the rest

Traynor: Yes ma'am

Garrus: What the heck is that Shepard?

me: Its an item that Colonel Traynor added to my weapon to increase its performance

Garrus: Very impressive.

me: Are you General Victus?

Victus: I am. What do you want?

Garrus: You're the new Primarch. Shepard. I like to join you on the Normandy

me: I don't think so Garrus. After the SR1 was destroyed, you made no effort to find a way to stop the reapers

Victus: Wait a minute. Is that true Garrus?

Garrus: Yes. I went to Omega to kill mercs

Victus: I agree with the Commander. I suggest you stay here. I will bring Lt. Sidonis with me, if the Commander doesn't mind?

me: I don't

Garrus: What? He got my team killed. This is an outrage. How could you Shepard?

me: Ask yourself that question? You chose to kill a bunch of mercs instead of finding a way to stop the reapers. I need to go.

Eh... I feel like romancing Liara in ME1 was a mistake now.

Mars is annoying. Did they even try to think that people moved on and like Garrus/Tali/Jack/Miranda/etc more than Ash and Liara?

I think I play ME a bit too much....

Here I had that awesome dream today...I was on Earth, on a ship with some fellow soldiers (having in mind I was on a ship but still infantry, I guess I was an Alliance marine), when we approached some invaded island. Problem is that there was an active volcano in there, and it was way too hot for a direct approach, so me and 2 fellow marines deployed on a smaller and faster boat. Just after stepping into land, I got startled when we found 3 Banshees just in front of us (no more than 5 meters from where we were). We killed them (somehow) with the help of a 4th marine who was already in there and that inmediately vanished again, and then my companions and I proceeded to enter a building with narrow, dark corridors. I was pissed off: "They're gonna pay for startling me", I remember I thought, and then I took point and checked every room that dark corridor had. A Cannibal tried to surprise us, but I shot it in the face.

Later, in another narrow corridor, I saw some.....Minecraft cave spiders ( :D) in the distance, and also shot them. Then we proceeded ahead, and sadly I wake up :(

Why can't all dreams be that awesome? :D

That's not the problem for me here exactly. I can't do anything about Liara... I want to do things about Shepard though. They don't take into account that I ended the romance in LotSB. It doesn't make sense to see my character automatically get all mushy and rekindle things this quickly.

If anything, I'm just annoyed strictly on shoddy import mechanics. I've restarted now. It's lame.

OTOH, Ash and Kaidan at least have tension and drama. You get to argue with them and it comes off more realistic... the characters aren't spaced out and didn't suddenly forget the past. And you, the player, have actual choices with how you appear on the screen when talking to them.

Kate Shepard

me: Tha asari refuse to show up for the summit

Petrovsky: Something's not right. I would suggest investigating that Shepard. Without everyone helping, we might not be able to defeat the reapers.

me: Ok. I'm heading back to the Citadel. I've got someone in mind who can help

Petrovsky: Let me know what happens. Before I go, you know that asari you sent me? She is very annoying. We can't go 5 minutes without her saying she's studied the Protheans for half her life. Also someone caught her trying to take armor from a locker. I don't know what that's about. But she is helping with translating the plans. I willl update later. Petrovsky out

me: Is that you edi?

edi: Yes. I took over this platform to find more about the Prothean data.

me: We already have what we need. Release control of that plarform so it can be spaced.

edi: Shepard I can help you on missions.

me: I don't want its help. Jason, Freddy, Michael? Throw the robot out the airlock

moments later

edihologram: Was that necessary Shepard.

me: Traynor? Do you have that remote completed?

Traynor: Yes ma'am

me: Use it

edihologram: This is unca-----

Traynor: edi is now offline

me: Excellent. Good job Sam.

Jordum Bau: Thanks for helping Commander. You can count on me and my friends to help when needed

me: Thank you. Are you there Kasumi?

Kasumi: I never could fool you. I know that look. I'm not going to fight the reapers with you.

me: Actually I have something else in mind for you.

Kasumi: Oh oh. What is it?

me: The asari councilor refused to send a representative to a summit to help stop the reapers. I like to know why. I need you to track any information from her office to any other sources. I hope it leads to nothing, but it still doesn't make sense.

Kasumi: I can do that. Anything else?

Samara: I can help. I too would like to know.

me: Samara! Good to see you. So you're willing to help?

Samara: Yes. Since Kasumi will keep an eye on the coucilor, I will get with the other justicars to find out what's going on on.

me: Thank you. I will see you both later

Ashley: I heard you sent Liara to... Wait a minute. Why did Hackett leave?

me: He's not fit to be a leader. Oleg Petrovsky has taken over. Yes Liara was sent to help with the device. I had no reason to keep her on the Normandy

Ashley: What about me Commander?

me: Don't worry. You will be back on the ship when you've healed. I need to go

Miranda: Are you sure Shepard?

me: Yes. The Normandy is right there. Get your gear and report to your office. There is equipment in there that you can use to help find your sister and find out what Cerberus is up to.

Miranda: Thanks Shepard

me: When you get settled in, talk with Colonel Traynor. She can improve your weapon and armor

Miranda: A Colonel?

me: I like calling her that. I'll see you the Normandy

me: Snoopy? Take us to these coordinates for the summit

Its because you can resume her romance in ME3. Maybe its an Asari thing. Human have short lifespan, remember? They probably don't think your ME2 fling is a big deal.

I don't care what the Asari think. I care more about Shepard. The human. I can't control how Liara behaves. She is what she is. :P

If you have an ME2 romance, it's treated the same as if you were always with Liara. Shepard's in her face the moment he/she lays eyes on her. That's cheap. Especially when you just finished ME2 and it's fresh in your mind. It's not a Liara problem. It's a lazy ass animator employed at Bioware problem.

Lilianps alternative timeline  finally concluded all the remaining me2 missions. Now she can return to ME3 and try to solve the situation between Krogans and Turians.

I need to play a lot more ME3 as a Sentinel, but from the little I saw the class was nerfed. I mean, the fact that you can explode your holo-armor at any time is great, but the effect was stronger in ME2, plus you could use four powers in a row, totally avoiding the cooling down period.

I abused the tatic of using my squad-mates trigger a biotic explosion with pull followed by war. But on Overlord I just used Miranda and Garrus, and abused the Overload tech-skill. Four overloads in a row will, on normal mode, leave a geth prime with only a little energy left.

This was my easiest run so far. It was also my weirdest ME2 experience. Even stranger than using a vanguard.

Oh, and thanks to the dominate bonus talent I easily survived all waves of guards in Arrival with no big scares.

Now I have to decide what to do next. Rescue a group of Turians, investigate Cerberus presence in the Krogan home-planet or leave the system in search of rechni reports?

Well, I can´t wait to return to the citadel in order to stop the coup, so I can have 2 humans on my team once more. Lilian, Vega and Williams will shoot a lot of enemies together for the remainder of the journey.
