Kate Shepard

me: What do you think Colonel?

Jack: I can't believe you call her that.

Traynor: We need to access a couple of terminals to open the pod.

Jack: We got Cerberus

Jack: Watch this Shepard. This is what your girlfriend added.

me:.........Oh crap. What the heck?

Jack: She gave me fade touched eezo. It gives me a 10% chance to increase my biotic power by 50% for 15 seconds. That shockwave you saw. Its like a mini earthquake. It shakes the ground and kills any idiot that gets in the way. Like I said. Your girlfriend rocks

me: You can say that again

me: Ok. I entered the codes. It may take a moment. Watch out for any Cerberus

Jack: Here they come. I will destroy you.

me: How ya doing Traynor?

Traynor: I just overloaded a couple of engineers

me: Nice. The pod just opened

Prothean: Why did you wake me up primitive?

me: I wanted to see if Protheans have gray hair. I need you to help me fight the reapers

Prothean: It seems the tattoo human should be in charge. You're too soft. I will help

Jack: Hey Shepard. I like this guy already

me: Just get on the shuttle

Back on the Normandy

me: Why did you guys lose the war?

Prothean: We weren't as strong as the reapers. We were also stupid. We kept firing small arms fire at the reaper with no results.

me: Hmm.....Ok. So much for that. Your sensory ability seems very useful. Since you can read a persons mind while they're alive, can you do the same for someone that is dead?

Prothean: It would be possible within a couple minutes before the brain shuts down. Commander. You can call me Javik.

me:  Good to have you Javik. My Colonel here can get you fixed up with armor and weapons

Javik:  Excellent

me: Snoopy? Set a course for the planet Lesuss

Mordin had asked me to look for his protégé Maelon, who had been captured by Blood Pack mercs, so he, Miranda and I touched down on Tuchanka to find out what's going on. I spoke to Urdnot leader Wreav and he directed me to the chief scout. I used the truck he pointed me to to get near the hospital. Killed a few klixen, varren and Blood Pack mercs on the way.

Once inside the hospital we found a human body, and Mordin is upset about that. They'll pay for the experiments they did on living humans.

Not soon after, 3 Clan Weyrloc members welcomed us, actually giving us the chance to leave. We listened to their plans until we finally start shooting at each other (actually managed to die twice here ). After taking them down we learned more about the genophage and encountered a dead female krogan, while Mordin reconsidered what he has done.

We also found a missing scout, and when I lied to him about my true intentions here he doesn't believe me and attacked me, resulting in his death.

We finally met Chief Weyrloc and killed him as well, then found Maelon in his lab. Mordin certainly did not anticipate to see Maelon work here voluntarily, to cure the genophage on his own. Mordin is not pleased about Maelon's methods and shot him in the head. Mordin is unsure about the genophage cure data, but after I assured him the genophage was the right call, he agreed it's better to destroy it. We returned to Tuchanka and headed back to the Normandy.

I spoke to Mordin again to see how he was dealing with the situation.

Then I decided to look for Samara, so we headed for the Illium spaceport. A volus merchant, Pitne For, and Detective Anaya talked about the murder of Pitne For's business partner, and I learned that Samara is investigating.

Detective Anaya was ordered to detain Samara, but that can't happen as I need her for my mission. I am allowed to look for the Justicar, and the Detective hoped I can talk Samara into leaving with me right away.

We entered the crime scene and Samara showed off some impressive moves against an Eclipse merc. Of course nothing's ever easy and Samara will only come with me if I look for a ship's name her quarry was smuggled off-world on, or the alternative being Samara spending one day in detention before she must continue with her investigation, fighting everyone in her way.

So we entered the Eclipse hideout with Pitne For's pass card and stumbled upon an asari who claimed to not actually like having joined the mercs. However, as she drew her weapon she gave me a good enough reason to shoot her (well, an interrupt I had to take, otherwise it would've been stupid. Couldn't really see any reason Hannah would accept an alien drawing a gun on her, or worse, letting her go after  I tried out the non-interrupt though as well).

Any resistance we met, including a gunship (another death here...), was taken care of, and we found incriminating proof of Pitne For smuggling, and also that it was Elnora, the asari we killed earlier, who killed his partner.

Before confronting Captain Wasea we met a drugged volus. Poor guy thought he was some kind of biotic god. He insisted on showing Wasea, and my attempt to stop him was ignored. We followed him inside and witnessed an almost comical biotic duel, which he unfortunately did not survive. He should've listened.

We took Wasea down fast and took care of her last allies, then recovered the ship name and returned to Samara and the Detective. I forwarded the evidence to Anaya and Samara joined us on the Normandy. I made sure she was settled in, spoke to Mordin again and heard him sing, then I had to take a call from the Illusive Man. He intercepted a turian distress call from a disabled Collector vessel, and wants me to investigate. We set course and I boarded the ship with Mordin and Miranda.

Haha, that fight against Wasea was over in less than 2 minutes. I remember struggling against her last time... Was pleasantly surprised this time :)

edit: I just watched cap and gown's video for Mordin's LM, and I noticed the krogan in the room where you can shoot the pipe came down after using the interrupt. Does anyone know if they actually always stay up there when not using the interrupt? Because I didn't use it today and they stayed put :D

Lilian refused to help the original rachni queen, instead choosing to save Grunt´s team. Grunt not only saved the day but also lived to see another one.  Soon after, she rescued a few civilians from an ugly futuristic city that were being attacked by (dissident?) cerberus troops.

She also assisted steve cortez on the citadel, and let jack and her students in.

The next four mission are all on the krogan home-planet. But I think I will simply cure the genophage (it´s already open since I have dealt with the rachni) in order to obtain Lilian´s best friend Ashley again. Can´t wait for this, so my all-human team of Lilian, James Vega and Ashley start to kick ass. Then my real ME3 experience with this sentinel will begin.

They definitely do come downstairs if you don't take the interrupt. :) They did seem to stay up there longer than with the interrupt, (although that may because I used dominate on one of them), but they do come down.

Kate Shepard

Samara: Shepard. This is my daughter Falere.

Falere: Mother. They have Rila

Samara: What?

Falere: Yes. She's in the big room with a lot of space.

me: Any idea why the reapers are here?

Falere: They're turning us into these freaks.

me: Ok. Lets get your sister and let this place go boom

Falere: Why did you let her die?

Samara: Rila was turning into a freak. The galaxy doesn't need anymore freaks than what we already have

me: Lets go Samara

Samara: Get somewhere safe Falere. I will see you once the reapers have been stopped

asari councilor: Thank you for taking care of this problem Commander. I will......Who is that?

me: This is Samara. She is is an asari Justicar

asari councilor: What? Ahh...ahh...I have to go

Samara: Somethings wrong Shepard

me: There is. Snoopy? Head back to the Citadel now

Kasumi: I'm glad you're back Shepard. The councilor sent numerous messages to that same Matriarch.

Thane: I may have an answer. Follow me Shepard

Spoiler

me: Kasumi? Keep digging for information on what the Matriarch told us.

Kasumi: I will.

me: Watch out for any asari commando that might be watching you. Lets get back to the ship Samara

commando: What do you want done?

asari councilor: Kill them. They must not find our true purpose. I need to make a call

voice: What is it?

asari councilor: I need more funds and protection.

voice: Give me the coordinates of the item and you will have your funds and protection

asari councilor: Here. Now your turn

voice. Thank you councilor. That will be all

Tonight Revka's power-that-be don't feel like wanting to do the long combo party just yet... and she's bored so she wrote a chapter of Revka/Kaidan fiction and she make Revka melee Nemesis and Phantoms all night long and collecting silver and gold medals. Sweet justice, b*tches

Ok, technically this is not from today but last week an since I hardly have any time to play, I'm going to have to spread these out a bit. Hope it doesn't get too boring this way but its always fun to write some background. We all know what's gonna happen on screen anyway. :)

Today, Bruce Shepard was having a cup of tea on Earth, Reapers invaded, got so pissed off that he spontaneously learned Annihilation Field, and went to disintegrate some Cerberus asses on Sanctum and Eden Prime with it, because, you know, they were nearby :D

Next objective: continue the ass disintegration on Menae.

I also encourage some bored PC user here to do another ME3's run with some new, imaginative class using the new bonus powers from that mod. You've these to choose:

Bonus Power Pack 1 contains: Arc Grenade, Ballistic Blades, Biotic Sphere, Smash, and Submission Net
Bonus Power Pack 2 contains: Annihilation Field, Tactical Scan, Multi-Frag Grenade, Biotic Slash, and Geth Turret

Maybe an Engineer with Geth Turret and Combat Drone? Smashadept? Grenade-addicted Soldier? :D

Shepard is now sporting a stylish jacket. I had no idea maleShep had this in his wardrobe! Poor femShep just has the Allers dress.

Before listening to politicians bicker at the summit, he decided to take a trip to the Citadel. It’s the only place that hasn’t gone completely insane yet, so they might as well enjoy the downtime while they can.

Lots of gifts were on offer to give to Ashley, but Shepard just settled for buying every single book of poetry the shop has. :P He doesn’t know which ones she might already own, so…  Ash seemed pleased, anyway. The two of them caught up, with no tension or suspicion this time. It was almost like old times. There was a freaky little moment when Ashley’s eyes rolled back into her head and stayed there… but Shep thought it might be rude to say something. :P Don’t want to ruin the amicable moment.

Then it was down to the bar for drinks with Vega. The guy is a little too informal for Shep’s tastes, but he’s willing to let it slide if Vega pulls his weight. After travelling with an eclectic crew (and having Jack swear at him on a regular basis), Shep is less bothered about regs now.

He caught up with Joker and EDI on the Presidium. She’s posing as an ‘assistance mech’ in order to get around. So... wasn't 'Dr Eva Core' posing as a human? You know, because her body is an infiltration unit? That would allow EDI a lot more freedom than pretending to be a mech. -_-  Things took a turn for awkward when EDI started talking about giving Joker substances to simulate arousal. Or something. This is worse than talking to people about their feelings. Fortunately, Joker just wanted to have a normal chat, and instead mocked Citadel folk. Now that's something Shep is a pro at.

Kelly was nowhere to be found, and is probably now selling those fish on Ebay. Garrus was hanging out with the turian soldiers,  most of whom looked like they couldn’t fight their way out of a paper bag. This war is taking a toll pretty quickly.

Somehow, an entire hour was spent on planet-scanning, shopping and conversations. Who needs to save the galaxy when you can take it easy like Shep?

The team headed to Grissom Academy to respond to a distress call. Big surprise, Cerberus has swooped in using the whole “turian signal” thing that TIM used for his Collector Ship stunt. Guy needs some new moves.  :P

It’s strange to think that if things had been different, Shep might have trained as a biotic here. Instead, he learnt the basics on Mindoir, and only developed  true control with the Alliance. He’s actually a little envious. These kids will grow up with their biotics as natural to them as breathing. This is the sort of place Jack should have been raised… and Cerberus wants to screw over these kids too.

Shepard unloaded a clip onto a window, trying desperately to break it when he saw a pair of soldiers dragging a boy away with them. Stupid thing was shatterproof, there was nothing he could do. Only thing is to press on and find others.

A group of students were being protected by their teacher – Jack. Wow. Shepard’s definitely missed a lot since being grounded. One would think he’d learn about keeping in touch with people, after that debacle with Ash on Horizon. But no, Shep still doesn’t understand email. He’s a biotic, dammit! He has no time for these complicated machines. Good thing EDI altered his omni-tool to auto-hack doors, or he’d still be stuck trying to piece together codes and connect circuit boards.

Jack decided to play the “told you so” card in regards to Cerberus. How many times – he never liked Cerberus, he just needed them!

Cerberus was spewing lies on the speakers, and a couple of the ‘kids’ actually seemed to believe it. Shepard was really quite annoyed about that. Jack’s their teacher, protector, and has suffered so much at Ceberus’ hands. Yet they think the people who are kidnapping them might not be so bad after all? -_- Jack shouted at them, and the students fell back in line.

The fight in the big open space (a park?) was unusually tricky, probably because I’d forgotten about those shield-boosting generators. :pinched: The Atlas just wouldn’t die.

Shepard’s fun was complete when he got to pilot a big robot of his very own. Jealous, EDI? Bet she wishes she was installed with rocket arms.  :P Blowing up those foolish little Cerberus soldiers was so gratifying! Everyone managed to escape the station intact.

Shepard must be getting soft in his old age, since he agreed to let Jack’s students stick to support rather than artillery. He knows first-hand how devastatingly powerful biotics can be in combat, but he also doesn’t want to become like Cerberus. The students can be useful to the war effort without all getting killed.

Back on the ship, Vega expressed an interest in Jack. Ha, go ahead matey. You can’t handle her!

I think you have the story a little backwards here. The Collectors sent out the Turian distress call. TIM intercepted it and passed it on to Shepard. Where TIM's involvement gets sketchy is that he knew the distress call was a fake but didn't tell Shepard. In the Grissom case, Cerberus sent out a fake Turian message saying they had already responded to the students' distress call. Now why Cerberus didn't bother cleaning up the secondary encryption to not be detectable as a fake is a mystery.
