Anyway playing all Bioware games happily - although something new wouldn't go astray until MEnext comes out. Any ideas anyone?

Thoughts for a new playthrough? How about doing the least amount of missions, saving most squadmates and still getting high ems?

Shepard had a feeling that she was just some VI who thinks she's Shepard.... or that she just might be a character in a video game. Whatever it was it isn't a good sign. But she killed **** Leng.

Have 4260 EMS. I'm expecting the most epic ending evah!!!!

Of course that didn't matter when I had over 9000 EMS, but I didn't have Leviathan or Omega then.

I'm stuck....not sure what I want to do next: Omega or meet with the Quarians? I could also finish up Leviathan (just rescued Ann Bryson) but I prefer to leave finding the mind-controlling Reaper-killers for when things get really desperate (aka after Thessia).

This week I started ME 2 with my insanity soldier Reyes Shepard and I spent a looooot of time creating her over and over again until I could finally settle for an appearance. I took some pictures of my TV Screen, so the quality is pretty shitty, but I guess I don't have much of an option playing on Xbox 360. Also she looks kinda cross-eyed in that Mordin scene where I got the only decent pics but whateffs... she's prettier ingame. :P

Spoiler

So far I recruited Zaeed, Garrus, Jack, Kasumi and Mordin in this order and am currently in the middle of Grunt's recruitment mission. I died a few times, mainly because it was a little hard to adjust to ME2 levels of difficulty after my Shepard was an undefeatable Juggernaut by the end of ME1... now I can't even beat some puny mercs without looking for cover first. Still going for the renegon route and I'm currently thinking about removing my Shepard's scars. I guess I'll do it as soon as they get too bad to look at, but at the Moment I kinda like the way they look.

I might write something more substantial soon, once I find the time and Inspiration. ;)

In case any of this sounds familiar to you: I wrote like one post in this thread in February (?) before my Xbox tragically passed away (RoD) and it took me till a few weeks ago to get a replacement that didn't work at first and smells of cigarettes but at least it's running now and isn't as noisy as my old one.

Salarian: What about a Marauder?

Turian: Tech armor

Salarian: Couldn't you just shoot them?

Turian: Have you ever seen them roll? I wish I could roll like that.

Salarian: What about a Brute?

Turian: Hit em with a Warp, let em get close and tech armor!

:)

Shepard had to spend some time telling EDI that during missions is not an appropriate time to take selfies.

Played thru the trilogy a couple of times now. First time with Overlord. There are always places in the games (all ME and DA) where BW do not pull their punches. Although I could wish that would happen with stuff in the story line - such as Toombs. Paragoning him to not kill the scientist and undergoing therapy and then writing to Shepard about being with Cereberus and then it went nowhere.

Anyway playing all Bioware games happily - although something new wouldn't go astray until MEnext comes out. Any ideas anyone?

You can try Skyrim. If you end up liking it, it'll take you all the way to ME:Next (if not more lol) :D

Checked in with Thane and Garrus, both seemed to be doing okay. Then I took Miranda to Illium, and together with Mordin we approached her contact Lanteia. She mentioned Niket, who is a trusted friend of Miranda, and now somehow got involved. Sounds fishy, but let's see. Miranda should know her people, she's usually careful about that. We took a car to the cargo area and were greeted by Eclipse. We had a little talk, which brought to light that Miranda actually kidnapped her sister when she was a baby, but I can't really blame her to want to help family, so I told the mercs to get lost. Of course they wouldn't, so then it was shooting our way through to Miranda's sister.

During the mission Miranda reaffirms her trust in Niket, just to see at the end that he had betrayed her after all. She shot him and we took on Enyala and the rest of the mercs.

We kept our distance, but saw that Oriana and her family were safe. I encouraged Miranda to go talk to her, but she said her sister would be better off not knowing, that it would only complicate things. I would've killed someone for a chance to speak with my family one more time, but... I get what she's saying. It's a tough situation. So I accepted her answer and we retreated. It shows Miranda would've loved to talk to Oriana though as she shed a few tears afterwards. Her opening up that much surprised me. Maybe she's not that bad after all.

Ironically, as soon as we boarded the Normandy again, she and Jack started a fight, and Miranda still showed her support for Cerberus. When she said to Jack that she was clearly a mistake, I lost my patience with her for good. Of course I sided with Jack, and now Miranda is as far away from trusting and liking me as it was when we first met. I know she's professional enough to not let our dispute affect the mission, but... Just when I thought I could trust her too, and seeing how protective she was of her family... Oh, well.
I ignored her and had good interesting chats with Thane and Samara instead.

Died twice today during Miranda's LM, the second being during the Enyala fight, I was flanked and didn't pay enough attention to it

Also took care of a few sidequests because I was in the mood for it :D Aaand I use the Pause function more seldom these days, making progress for a smoother gameplay, woo!

Decided to go with Omega. Confused Aria with renegade dialogue and paragon actions. Engineer-interrupted the power re-route and didn't let her kill Petrovsky. When Shepard got back, she went to see Ann Bryson and found several possible locations for Leviathan. That will have to wait until after meeting with the quarians. Admiral Crazy has offered to accompany her on the dreadnought mission since Tali died at the Collector Base.

Random question: Has the ladder bug been fixed or have I just been lucky this playthrough? I haven't gotten stuck on any ladders that normally are problems for me.

Is this a general ladder bug or more specific - because I always get caught on a roof when trying to reach Ann Bryson.

Also I thought I heard a Blasto ad with Shepard saying something about being the first human spectre and Blasto saying 'enkindle this'.

Shepard, after listening to 20 minutes of hero worship, walking through another hour of bad writing, getting killed again, this time by Harbinger, then still getting up because they wouldn't let her die, then dying again only to have her internal defibrillator restart her on the Citadel, shooting Anderson, listening to The Illusive Man rant, dying again, getting taken up in the elevator and then getting awakened by the kid, realized her life really sucked, and that she should have let the clone take the Normandy and do this job. Glowbrat explained what was going on, blah blah blah, and she just wanted it over. For her and everyone. No more jokes about how she though Asari needed other species to reproduce. So she jumped into the beam.

Dead Shepard. Closure at last.

And now the epilogue. It seems that two species really benefitted from this: the quarians, and especially the Krogan. Yes the Krogan rebuilt, and built, and built reclaiming what was lost and beyond surpassing everyone and went on to become the dominant species in the galaxy. I hope everyone likes ryncol.

Finished off a paragon ME3 run last night, on a lark I chose synthesis as I haven't seen it since my very first drunken completion. Still don't care for it or really understand what the hell it's supposed to mean but I must say I do like how EDI looks and acts in the epilogue after the transformation. It was time for Joker to get a happy ending. :D

I got the Mass Effect Library Edition Volume 2 today :) And we went to help Tali!

Tali had to wait a long time, but now I'm fully there to help with her trial. We went to the Migrant Fleet with Miranda, and things went downhill a bit too fast. Tali had already been stripped of her ship name, as good as exiled, and I was to represent her in the trial as her new ship's captain. I pleaded not guilty, Tali learned her father and a crew were on-board the ship Alarei, considered dead already, and the last thing from maybe preventing Tali's exile is if we find any evidence on that ship to prove her innocence. We talked to the Admirals, as well as Veetor and took a shuttle to the Alarei to take care of any remaining geth and to see what we can find. In the course of sweeping through the ship, we found Tali's father dead. But not only that, we also found incriminating details as to what Tali's father and his crew did here. The disabled geth parts Tali sent to him were used to build geth and test weapons on them in order to retake the quarian homeworld. Tali begged me to not reveal this to the Admiralty Board.

I'm struggling a bit with this decision, and I still hadn't made up my mind upon returning and going back to the trial. Damn it, Tali. Your father did some serious sh*t in there. But fine. I am not bound by duty whatsoever, it doesn't matter. What matters is that I respect a... yes, a friend's wish. So I took a deep breath and told the Admiralty Board we found no evidence. As expected Tali was exiled, but she was prepared for it. She thanked me for honouring her decision and with the whole politics and trial thing, she told me it showed her where she should be - on the Normandy, helping me. I don't know why, but that took me by surprise more than it should have and it made me smile. When I think back how I first treated her... I was so wrong. She's a good person, I know that by now.

With everything said and done we said goodbye to the Admirals and returned to the Normandy.

Can't believe I made it through without dying this time! Last time was pretty harsh with the Geth Hunters  I found the Locust to be very effective here, is there any better SMG? I tried out the Tempest before, but I'm not sure if it was as effective as the Locust.

Off for some more side missions now B)

I like the style, I hate the sound and lack of punch. It got cooler in ME3.

I think the Valkyrie is a perfect marriage of Avenger and Mattock.

Sound and punch were improved, model was ruined. Removing the integrated scope was one of the worst design decisions in the trilogy IMO. Even worse, you could not recreate the original model with scope mods -_-

I had a lot of fun with human adept with Avenger in multiplayer. It's a really basic kit, but I stuck with it even after earning more things.

Haven't played MP in awhile though.

I've only just started using it (since I recently got the PS3 version). It reminds me of the Avenger. I guess it's better against shields?

I don't know if its better against shields unless you're playing as a soldier using disruptor ammo. I use it because I like it and I like the way it looks
