I don't know if its better against shields unless you're playing as a soldier using disruptor ammo. I use it because I like it and I like the way it looks

Reminds me of this gun from Existenz:

OK... I have to know. What makes you stick with Avenger in ME2? What am I missing?

Looks, no immersion breaks in cutscenes :) It is also fairly decent against mooks, especially when upgraded. I use a combo of Predator and Avenger for my canon build (I use an SMG before getting AR training - my canon Shepard is an Engineer).

Here is one of the tests I ran in ME3 before finalizing the playstyle: Link

The final version uses Overload instead of the Combat Drone and is much more effective (and fun) :)

You know the funny thing? The Lancer shows up in the assault rifle cutscenes with the extended barrel if you have it equipped sometimes. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. Also it is so similar in shape to the Avenger there isn't the immersion break. .. or well as much of an immersion break.

Is this a general ladder bug or more specific - because I always get caught on a roof when trying to reach Ann Bryson.

My ladder problem started with that one, but afterwards I always had the same problem with the second ladder at the monastery entrance. This game I didn't get stuck on either one. It was a most pleasant surprise.

If you ctrl-walk to the buggy ladders, they always work. Annoying bug.

Hail to the moon.

Spoiler

The ladders are as bugged as always. Usually Shep grabs the ladder, then changes her mind and jumps down instead of gliding. Go figure

Just before the showdown on Tuchanka, Liara popped up to Shepard’s cabin. I’m sure I usually get more Citadel conversations before now. Anywho, she showed him a project she’s been working on while some touching music played in the background. Wait... is that the romance music? Thankfully it ended when she left, to be replaced with those cheesy party beats.

The Dalatrass offered salarian support in return for sabotaging the genophage. Shep is conflicted about curing the krogan... but on the other hand, the Dalatrass should be volunteering her people without political scheming! Everyone’s in this war, no spectators. The salarians and asari are as bad as each other.  :pinched:

As they flew down to the Hollow, Eve noticed Shep’s tense mood. He was so irritated at the Dalatrass, he almost revealed the sabotage, but a little turbulence cut him off. When he saw just how volatile krogan politics are at the... Crunch... Munch... uh, the krogan meeting ( )... he was glad he didn’t say anything. If these people knew what the Dalatrass had planned, they’d probably rip Mordin apart right now, followed by every non-krogan in existence. Even Wrex is too hot-tempered. Shep resolved to just share the info with Mordin when he gets a chance.

Even from afar, the Reaper looked huge. How exactly are they supposed to fight that? Anything smaller than a dreadnaught would surely be useless. It seemed pretty useless when the Protheans were just shooting at them in Javik's memories. Maybe they had run out of heavy-hitting weapons by that point...?

Shep, Javik and Garrus ended up exploring some dark tunnels, with only a tiny pool of light to guide them. You guys need better torches. :P I really love this section! They admired the cave paintings along the way, but only realised the wonder of ancient krogan architecture when they emerged into daylight. The place has a slight Egyptian feel with all those pyramids. Javik’s comment was “Remnants of a failed race.” Jeez, grumpy, you suck the fun out of everything.  :P

They fought through husks and were picked up by Wrex, and this time Shep remained silent about the sabotage. He felt a little guilty when Wrex declared him a friend and brother, but he isn’t planning to betray him. It’s a lie of omission that’s best for everyone.

Shepard decided to rush the maw hammers. No fighting the brutes, no hanging around. Fortunately, he didn’t get stepped on. Well, he mostly didn’t get stepped on (who needs two feet anyway?). The hammers summoned Kalros, who laid into the Reaper. Shep scuttled off as quickly as possible – this fight is very much out of his league! They should clone Kalros and drop one on every planet. Hell, the salarians are probably already planning something that daft.

Shepard finally revealed the sabotage to Mordin. The salarian sounded wary, like he thought Shep would fight him to stop the cure. Really, Mordin? You and Shep are friends. He trusts you. Shepard watched as Mordin disappeared in the lift, uttering his famous words one more time. The krogans’ reaction to the cure dispersal was strange – tranquil and hopeful. Not something you associate with the krogan. Wrex was overjoyed, and Eve expressed her gratitude by revealing her true name.  Shep looks forward to meeting baby Mordin someday.

Back on the Normandy, he was troubled by dreams again. This time, Mordin’s voice joined that of Kaidan, Thane and Jacob. It’s getting awfully crowded in Shepard’s head.  :?

Only a few emails, including one from a sour Dalatrass. She was disgusted that one of her own people was vital to curing the krogan. She better not be slandering Mordin’s good name name on Sur Kesh, or Shep will make it his personal mission to throw her out an airlock. Once the Reapers are dealt with, of course.

Lilian watched Anne Bryson going from damsel in distress to bad girl thirsting for revenge.

Lilian may have bluffed when she suggested that she and Garrus should take a swim on the citadel, but she was totally serious about jumping in the ocean of an alien planet. And she did it with an atlas heavy mech (well, sort of). After so many strange occurrences it´s no wonder that the chapter closed with a line from X-files about the truth being out there and shepard giving a final report to Frank Black from  Millennium.

Ok, enough of Lance Henriksen. It´s finally time to confront Martin Sheen.

Dahlia Shepard (Flare Infiltrator) took a little trip to see the Quarians about joining the Reaper War... only to find out they had started their own war against the Geth (again) before the Reapers had invaded. And now they were getting their collective butts kicked and needed Shepard to help them out.

Needing the Quarian fleet and wanting to save as many Quarians she could in the process, she agreed to help them. To do that, she had to board a Geth Dreadnaught and disable the Reaper signal. With the help of Admiral Xen, Dahlia, Liara, and Kaiden made their way through the ship, and managed to disable the drive core, courtesy of a unique Geth platform. Unfortunately for them, Admiral Gerrel took the opportunity to attack the Dreadnaught instead of retreating as originally planned.

With the help of the Geth platform, they managed to escape the Dreadnaught. Normally a nice person, Dahlia was very not-so-nice to Gerrel at the mission debriefing and punched him in anger.

Next, Dahlia landed on Rannoch to rescue Admiral Korris who had been shot down. Dahlia and squad managed to disable some Geth AA Cannons, destroyed the Geth Jamming Tower, and then rescued the admiral. Dahlia felt bad for letting the admiral's crew die, but the admiral could save more lives if he was back with the ships.

Dahlia can now attack the Geth Base on Rannoch directly and destroy the Reaper signal, but first she plans on helping the Geth platform disable some Geth fighters from attacking the Quarian fleet.

This is almost exactly what I did yesterday, except I had Garrus instead of Liara, and Legion instead of "Geth platform". Also, I had to shut down my game before disabling the AA cannons so that's not done yet.

This is the first time I've had Xen along instead of Tali. I almost wanted to see those geth dancing to her tune but man....Admiral Xen is a wacko.

Umm....I killed off the quarians. Accidentally.   And I died 3 times while dancing with the reaper.

So annoying that you can't make peace just because Tali isn't around. Raan didn't even try to talk Gerrel out of attacking. <_<

On the plus side, Shepard got to spend some alone time (off screen) with Kaidan in between missions on Rannoch.

Kate Shepard

Koris: We have to get my people Shepard

me: No time. We have to go

Ashley: GIVE ME AN S. GIVE ME AN H. GIVE ME AN E. GIVE ME AN P. GIVE ME AN A. GIVE ME AN R. GIVE ME AN D. WHAT DOES THAT SPELL? SHEPARD. GOOOOOOOO TEAMMMMMMM SHEPARD. YAHHH YAHHH

me: I like the cheer Ashley. Well done. Will I hear a different one?

Ashley: I'm working on a couple other cheers Commander.

me: Cool. By the way. You look cute in your cheerleader uniform

Raan: We found the reaper base Commander

me: Cool.

Raan: It will take time to have the Quarian fleet in place.

me: Ok.

Samara: You know we need her Shepard

me: Are you sure about this?

Samara: If she doesn't know, no one would know. I f

me: Alright. Well head back to the Citadel after helping the quarians

Grunt: Anymore missions Shepard?

me: Not for the moment. There might be one that will require all of us to be a part of once I have more details. Just relax for now Grunt.

Grunt: Ok. Let me know when I can fight again.

me: Sure thing

me: What's wrong Traynor?

Traynor: Nothing. Just tinkering with these fade touched items

me: Any knew properties?

Traynor: Yes. With the fade touched Iridium, it will give a 10% chance of taking no damage for 10 seconds. I'm able to add it to headgear, but still trying to see if it will work with a visor

me: Excellent. Of course you've already added that to my helmet?

Traynor: I did. I also added it for everyone else.

me: I'll leave you to it Sam

me: What's going on Miranda?

Miranda: I may have a possible location at where my sister might be. I'm having a couple contacts confirm it for me. Still no leads to the whereabouts of Cerberus

me: Ok. Keep me posted

me: How ya doing Kasumi?

Kasumi: I'm doing well. I'm still a littel shaken by the attack.

me: Do you think you would be up for a mission when you feel better?

Kasumi: Depends on the mission Shepard

me: Ok.

Just went through the suicide mission, saved everyone, did Overlord, and I'm on my way to do Lair of the Shadow Broker and I'll be done!

Also, romanced Tali. My Shepard was an adept in ME1, Sentinel in ME2, and I'll think I'll have him as an adept again in ME3.

I really like the techarmor of the Sentinels in ME2.

I find the Adept to be dreadfully dull in ME3. The only outstanding power is Singularity and for me fully evolved dual Pull is more useful. By far my favorite biotic class in ME3 is Vanguard+Lash.

I still like Adepts, but I think Pull is better too. I've never used Lash on VG. I go for Inferno Grenades.

I don't use Pull that often, or bother upgrading to dual. I find it annoying enough to see the enemies roll out of the way of a single Pull that two doing it at the same time would just drive me insane. I prefer Singularity as even without a direct hit you've got a far better chance of still catching your target.
