Does Tali stand there if you don't recruit Garrus or Wrex?
I've never seen Tali in that scene regardless if Wrex or Garrus isn't recruited

So there are only two squadmates if you don't recruit Garrus/Wrex? I always recruited both ![]()

You have to recruit one of them at least. Then the 4 required ones.
I like recruiting Garrus later. It just kind of amuses me... He's one of my favorites, but I think this is how I first played.. and now I'm carrying on the tradition. I like the idea of them not hitting it off at first. Some of Garrus' dialogue makes sense this way too... like he's eager to please. "Whatever you want me to do, just tell me, and I'll do it", and how Shepard keeps telling him to "Be ready" for Saren and not let him down. There's not full trust built between them yet.
Made a new Human Female Inquisitor named Evelyn. I accidentally confirmed the default name. :'( I am not sure if I want to keep her yet as I am not satisfied with the face, but I guess I'll leave that to the Emporium.

Is there something like a face code in DAI?
Is there something like a face code in DAI?
Nope. If you start a new Inquisitor, you must create their faces from scratch. The only possible way to recreate your character is to take pictures or make a video of their face sliders and options to actually get them to be exact or almost the same again. The Black Emporium DLC has made it possible to change their face settings so your Inquisitor can go through plastic surgery. ![]()

Unfortunately, no.
Oops, you beat me. Another option is to have a really good memory. ![]()

This is so dumb. Especially after Mass Effect series and the obvious utility of face codes. Here's hoping ME:Next won't make the same mistake.

Well, it's more complex than face codes since the customization is deeper and you can spend at least an hour on one face.

Haha! I just realized I posted this in the wrong forum. Oh well, they're used interchangeably by fans of both, anyways.

I'm pretty sure it's not that hard. Sliders - same face code system, ear size etc. - crosshair position, maybe?
I mean they do get certain fixed numbers from each option - might as well preserve those numbers and show them to the player.

There's no new game+ which is probably the reason why they didn't bother with it.
Guys, guys, I can now capture!
Thanks again to cap and gown for helping me out with my questions!
Here are my first 2 videos for anyone who's interested (it's probably boring for the most here as it's only the intro and leaving Earth part).
I will of course try to continue with not taking interrupts, but some might be too good to pass up.
I managed to get the highest score are the Armax Battle Arena, while fulfilling a charity wish for some child who's recovering from a tumor. I also managed to get a screenshot of the group photo from the Normandy Crew party. It was a good play. ![]()
The past six months were some of the worst in the past years. Here I sat in detention, reliefed of duty and wasting time when I should be out there to do something about the Reapers! I almost wished Hackett hadn't asked me for this favor.
Breaking out his old friend Dr. Amanda Kenson out of a batarian prison was not hard for me, but she was indoctrinated and tried to keep me from doing what's really important. I fought back of course, I needed to get out. In the course of events I smashed an asteroid into the Alpha relay to stop the Reapers coming through there. That was the only good thing that came out of this mission, because it bought us some time, but it had also cost a whole batarian system. Not that I can't deal with that, it was definitely worth the price, but now there were consequences.
Hackett personally came aboard the Normandy to tell me I'd have to face the aftermath for wiping out the batarian system at some point. At least he bought me some time before I had to leave for Earth. I thanked Hackett for the delay and well, here we are.
Pretty much my only confederate for the past six months was one Lieutenant James Vega, there to guard the brig. I spent a lot of time reflecting what had happened, just lying in bed and let the hours pass... thinking about the people who died for our cause... Jack, Thane, Kasumi, Miranda, Zaeed.
I had some trouble sleeping at nights, aching to get out there to fight for the galaxy.
Finally, that day came.
While I was watching some child outside play, James came to pick me up and accompany me to the Defense Committee. On our way I met Anderson again, and then Kaidan also showed up. It was good to see him, out of question, but something really changed. There's no more trust between us, the bond long broken.
Anderson and I proceeded to the Committee and I was starting to get really p*ssed off because NOW they ask me what to do. It was too late anyway... we witnessed on a vid screen that the Reapers are here.
And then they came for us.
Anderson and I made our way through to some suviving soldiers and we looked for their radio to contact the Normandy, dealing with Reaper forces until she arrived to pick us up. Anderson stayed behind and reinstated me, ordering us to go to the Citadel and talk to the Council for support. Vega insisted on staying on Earth. I like James, but he needs to remember to do what he's told, and right now... we have our orders.
Our plan however was interrupted by a transmission from Hackett, who told us something about a way to stop the Reapers in the Mars Archives.
We plotted course and James, Kaidan and I touched down on Mars.
Oh, on a side note, I totally forgot to visit Liara again and only did it after Arrival, and her dialogue there when she comes up the Normandy is so much better imo, I'll probably do that always now if I decide to let her onboard, heh ![]()
Kate Shepard
me: It looks like the reapers are gunning for Cerberus
Miranda: This is disturbing. Killing all these people to study Indoctrination
Traynor: Kill them all. Kill them all.
me: Easy Sam. They will pay for this. Keep your wits about you
Miranda: Get your hands off her you bastard.
Henry: I want safe passage out of here.
me: HAHAHAHA. You dirtbag. You know that will never happen. Give me Oriana, and I will kill you quickly. Kill her and you will die very painfully.
Henry: Fine. Make it quick.
Miranda: You don't get off that easy.
me: NO. MIRANDA. Take your sister back to the shuttle. NOW.
Henry: What are you doing?
me: See here's the problem scumbag. This is my girlfriend. This is her home. There's a good possiblity her parents are dead. As you can see she is very, very upset. She also brought her best friend with her. Lawson. Say hello to Leatherface. Take your time Sam.
Henry: Wait. Wha....What are you doing? Get that thing away from me. No...NO....AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
me: How ya doing Sam?
Traynor: Better. I just need to focus on the upcoming attack against Cerberus
me: Why don't we play some chess to pass the time?
Traynor: Ha. It will be a short game.
Okay, here we go again with last week’s achievements!
After her mission on Horizon Reyes Shepard headed straight for Haestrom to meet another member of her old crew and recruit her for the cause: Tali’Zorah. Due to the insane radiation of Haestrom’s sun Dholen, maintaining the team’s shields was going to be a problem, so the team she took along consisted of Grunt, who relies on armor instead of shields, and Garrus – for old time’s sake and because his abilities are quite useful against Geth. They breezed through most of the mission and had only had minimal radio contact with Tali before finally reaching the observatory – where Tali was trapped by a Geth Colossus and a hoard of smaller Geth platforms with only Kal’reegar left to fight them. Reyes asked him for a brief overview of the battlefield, then told him to cover her back. She certainly wasn’t going to hold him back and lose the firepower of a man perfectly able and willing to help. Shepard and team took the left path, cleared out the Geth as fast as possible and then made short work of the Colossus, so Reegar also made it. In the end, Shepard and Garrus were finally reunited with Tali who seemed quite distressed by her team's loss and questioned if the data she retrieved was worth all those lives. But at least one of the others made it out and she seemed very relieved about seeing Kal’Reegar alive and well.
Just like Reyes, Tali didn’t like the thought of working with Cerberus and the new ship AI, but the Normandy SR2 in general was still fascinating for her and it feels right to have her back in the engineering, eventhough Adams isn’t there anymore. Losing their entire team seems to be a common thing among Shepards crew by now. Ashley lost her unit on Eden Prime, Garrus his team on Omega and Tali had everyone but Kal’Reegar die on her – not to forget Shepard who willfully sacrificed most of her team on Torfan. They all seem to have their own ways of dealing with it however: Ashley blames herself for not seeing the attack coming, but eventually accepts that the most she can do to “make up for it” is to help stop Saren and then mourn her comrades. Garrus blames himself as well, but in a more self-destructive way, wearing himself down with his hunger for revenge and the thought of making everything right by killing Sidonis and therefore making up for his own perceived failure as the leader of his team. Tali seems to be more quiet and stable, knowing that the admirals gave them their orders and they followed them as best as they could, without anyone to blame for what happened but the Geth. It’s interesting that she seems so stable and has developed such a strong personality after being the youngest and most inexperienced member of Shepard’s crew in ME1, but she probably had to grow fast, looking at all the responsibility the admirality threw at her after her return to the flotilla. And then there’s Shepard, the Butcher of Torfan - a title that she despises to this day, but I’ll go into detail about that another time.
The Normandy’s next destination was the city of Nos Astra on Illium where Shepard was greeted by an Asari telling her that the information broker Liara T’Soni had already taken care of her docking fee. Reyes immediately went to see her, accompanied by Garrus and Tali. The reunion didn’t quite go as planned though, as Shepard realized that Liara had become a completely different person during her absence. Instead of the quirky, shy scientist from ME1 she had turned into a ruthless, business oriented information broker who kills without batting an eyelash and doesn’t hesitate to threaten people into giving her what she wants either. On top of that, her german voice actor changed from ME1 to 2, which made her complete personality change even more glaring. This right here is the reason why I dislike Liara so much in the last two games: She’s just not herself anymore. I don’t know if this is believably explained in the comics, but other than Leliana in de DA series whose character development throughout the series seemed plausible and was always rooted in her backstory and previously established darker tones of her character, I don’t buy this new Liara at all.
This gets me mad every new playthrough, and Reyes was equally negatively surprised. Other than Tali she apparently had grown to be much more like Shepard in some way – in a way that especially Shepard herself didn’t approve of. She still agreed to help Liara in her fight against the shadowbroker and ran into Gianna Parasini and Conrad Verner in the process. Both had their own little issues that Shepard helped with, in Conrad’s case by making it look like he actually did some good and then sending him home, hoping that he’ll actually stay there this time. Of course he won’t, since he will hopefully show up in ME3 this time. I also walked by Shiala from Feros but didn’t talk to her yet – I still got the Thank you mail from the colonists when I returned to the Normandy, seems to be a small bug. Quite a few coincidences here, but it doesn’t stop at Liara, Gianna, Conrad and Shiala – there’s even more to come.
I also told the souvenir shop owner to get back with her krogan lover since he apparently really loves her (and didn’t shut up) and then bought some new fish for the Normandy. The old ones from the Citadel had passed away due to Shepard doing some missions and trying to save the galaxy instead of feeding her fish every damn time she gets back on the ship. Shouldn’t EDI be capable of feeding them at regular intervals?
Anyways, I got new ones now and took Miranda and Tali on Miranda’s loyalty mission. I died 2 times due to cover problems and confronted Niket and Enyala in the end. It turned out Miranda’s old friend had betrayed her and Reyes decided to let Miranda deal with him however she saw fit. The result was her shooting him and a fight against Enyala where Shepard and the Eviscerator won the day. They then went to check on Oriana and Shepard insisted on Miranda going and talking to her. She just killed her former best friend in order to protect her afterall. Shepard herself does lots of horrible things with the incentive to protect others, but she doesn’t get the satisfaction of actually meeting those she saves or having a loved one to fight for that she knows she can return to when things are over. Miranda should have that after she went through so much trouble to make sure that her sister is safe – and she could if she just went ahead instead of letting her pride or overcautiousness hold her back. She at least deserved to get to know her and Oriana did as well.
Miranda and Reyes talked about Oriana when they were back on the Normandy, about her family, her fun personality and her aspirations to work in colony development. A few weeks back I actually wrote a few notes on my Shepard’s life before and after the attack on Mindoir and I had given her the exact same ambitions when she was a teenager. I didn’t remember that detail about Oriana and it was a nice surprise to hear Miranda mention it, so I headcanoned a somewhat deeper conversation between her and Reyes where she talked about her youth on Mindoir and what happened to her after that. No pretty stuff for sure, she completely lost control of her life and touch with her remaining family that was scattered all across the galaxy anyways. Did some stupid things she doesn’t enjoy talking about much nowadays – no Jack level stuff, but there was this certain mixture of anger, hurt and absence of direction that kinda helps her understand they way Jack is thinking now. I imagine Miranda already knew at least the majority of it – she’s the Cerberus Operative who was tasked with bringing Shepard back to life afterall – but in the end they both opened up towards each other a bit. They didn’t and probably won’t ever become friends, but I think they’ve come to respect each other for more than just their abilities in combat.
Long story short: Mirandas loyalty was secured and she’s now wearing her alternative black outfit that doesn’t make her ass look as ridiculous as the original one. First loyalty mission completed.
I don’t want to make these too long, so I’ll take a break here.
And next time when I’m finally writing down stuff that I did about a week ago:
Assassins, deaths and the Dantius towers,
Collector Ship rage,
Absolutely no pressure on Shepard,
Everyone’s daddy issues,
And solving murder mysteries with the aid of Jack’s and Grunt's investigative prowess.
Satana Shepard
I can't believe I'm about to save this clown when he should already be in one of the escape pods. Ok. He's in the pod. Oh crap. Well this sucks. I wasn't expecting to float in space with an air leak. Looks like I'm going to die. But. Yes there is a but. I will get my revenge against the one called Joker. I'll be back. ![]()
What's going on? What's with the gun fire I hear? Wait a minute? HAHAHAHA. What did I tell you? I'm back. HAHAHA. Wait till they get a load of me. I hear a woman's voice in my head. Ha. I'm already going mad. Excellent. Who's that guy?
guy: I'm Jacob Taylor
me: I'm The Shepard.
Taylor: Uh...yeah...ok. Lets get you out of here
me: Lead the way
I fight some mechs. The mechs have good aim. But see, I'm a biotic. Haha. Activate singularity. Ha. Fly mechs, fly
Ok. Look at the crybaby with the booboo on his leg. What a wimp. I give a pink bandaid. So me and the odd couple fight through the mechs.
WOW. Awesome. That girl put a hole in the crybaby's head. Nice. Do you think I should add another hole? Hahaha. So this is the woman in my head. Not bad. Lets see how well that lasts. Get me out of here. I want to cause some trouble. Hahaha
hologram: I am the Cancer Man. They call me that because I smoke too much.
me: Why should I care? Its your life. So. What do you want?
TCM: I want you to stop the reapers. The Alliance hasn't made any effort. That's why I brought you back.
me: I wouldn't had to of come back if I had a pilot who got to the escape pod instead pretending to be the captain going down with the ship mentality.
TCM: Yeah. I read his profile. He's a good pilot. That's the only thing I can say nice about him
me: Keep talking like that and you and I will become good friends.
TCM: You need to go Freedon's Progress and search for clues
me: Ok. But first I'm stopping by the nearest MacDonald's. I like to have a #1 meal
Were on Freedoms Progress. How can freedom progress if there's no one here to progress it? Hahaha. I made a funny. What's with the quarians?
me: Who are you?
masked one: Don't you remember me Shepard. I'm Tali.
me: Hmmm. Oh yeah. The one who I didn't want on the ship, but Udina forced me to take. I remember now. Why you here?
Tali: Were here because another Quarian is here. We came to get him since its past his bedtime.
me: Really? Whatever. Answer me a question? Did you make any effort to find a way to stop the reapers while I was dead?
Tali: Ah...Lets talk about that later
me: Just as I thought. You go do whatever. I have a feeling I will never see you again. Hahahaha
me: Are you Vistor, Vector, Veetor whatever.
masked one: Yes. I was playing the video game pong when I noticed these bug looking things
Miranda: Those are collectors
me: I'm a collector. I collect stamps.
Miranda: That's not wha......Ahh. The collectors are species that have only been seen by a few people.
me: Ok. Lets stop the bugs. I hope TCM has a lot of Raid
me: Well. Well, well. Look who it is?
clown: Oh crap. Don't get mad Commander
me: Shutup crap for brains. I will kill you at another time. For now, fly the airplane and don't say a word.
clown: Its a spaces---
me: I know what it is knuckle head. How many bones would you break if I was to trip you? Now get on the airplane and lets get going. I got some revenge to take care of. Hahaha.
How much paragon points do you need to soothe Miranda after siding with Jack? Is it even possible?
http://forum.bioware...confrontations/
Dang too late. Ty anyway!
Are you at the end of ME2 yet? It happened to me once that I could smooth things over with Miranda after I finished the game (and I believe I respecced my powers shortly before).
Following Joker's advice, Normandy returned to Citadel for servicing. Revka received a distress call from an officer about a situation with a former Batarian slave and that she is from Mindoir. Revka managed to calm the girl but it opened up some old wounds.
After some debriefing, Anderson pointed a clue about Matriarch Benezia's whereabouts and Revka set a course for Noveria. Only Joker would find the natives welcoming.
Naturally, Revka found the fun party.
But finding the elusive Asari proved to be a challenge. Hours later, the gang finally infiltrated the Peak 15 facility. After some ugly encounters with the Geth, tower of Hanoi, undercover Asari and some bug aliens of unknown origin, we found Liara's crazy mumsy.
For some strange reason, she used up her biotics to summon her minions and eventually depleted her HP. For a moment, mumsy regained her sanity and Liara said her farewell.
Revka caught sight of the thing inside a glass tank that she didn't hear footsteps from behind...
After a chat with the queen, Revka had to make a choice and everyone offered their own opinions. But Revka the one-who-press-the-button have the final say in the matter...
