Finished the Citadel DLC and the game. Died only once on clone fight (thank you, Inferno Grenades)!
Also, one death on missile defense section (stupid Banshee warp bombs)

Haha, yeah, I am afraid of Melee a bit. But I will try it out, too, maybe I end up really liking it
Oh no no, I overall loved Engineer, it was just that one part where I had some real trouble, but I'm sure there are good setups to deal with the solo part, so no worries!
I played the engineer but not from an ME2 import and Citadel Dlc wasn't out back then. I liked the class very much. I'll see how it turns out for the Citadel.
I don't even use a shotgun. Even when I was a Vanguard, I didn't use the shotgun but I enjoyed that class very much.
I don't use melee but cloaking and melee attacking the enemies from behind was fun. I love powers and guns

Harley Shepard - new game plus - adept/Earthborn/ruthless
The reapers visit Vancouver
the circus is in town so wanted to see it
when they landed, multiple earthquakes caused widespread destruction
I jump on the Normandy
something on Mars can help
I jump out of the shuttle with my lawn chair, sunglasses, sunscreen, bathing suit and surfboard
that won't work. no water. crap
with the armor back on, I fight a group calling themselves the Wannabe's
all I hear while heading to the archives is TAKING CASUALTIES. If they actuallyknew what they're doing, they wouldn't be taking casualties
I talk with hologuy. He's the big cheese of the Wannabe's. I bet if he stop smoking today, he might live a few years longer
Who's that running away?
I put on my running shoes. See I was the 100 metre champion in high school
the vega crashes into the shuttle
its a robot.
lets go to the Citadel.

All these silly threads in the ME:A forum are very entertaining. ![]()
Anyway, I haven't had much opportunity to play games lately, but I got onto Thessia last night. Liara insisted on coming with Shep and Ash. They tried to convince her to block out her emotional distress and focus on the mission. She replied "I can't be that callous about my own people." You can and you will.
If not, then go back and wait on the ship.
Shepard was very impressed with the way the asari utilise their biotics to maintain barriers and build barricades. Every little helps in slowing the Reapers down. They're the only race who could manage it. He considers his own biotics pretty good for a human (though not on Jack's tier of course), but there's no way he could keep that up without getting seriously exhausted. Had a little bug where the conversation with Kurin didn't trigger after using the gun turret, so I had to reload and do that bit a few times over. ![]()
They met up with a lone soldier who called in some Talon fighters to cover the team against the harvesters. Liara was being a little silly again with her "Maybe next time the Alliance can spring for air support." They're defending their own planet, Liara. The Alliance isn't going to reward the asari for defending Thessia. ![]()
Ashley was quite understanding with Liara, but they bickered about whether Athame looks like a Prothean. Spoiler alert: yep, she does. Liara was understandably upset by the idea that the Protheans meddled in asari history. Ancient... aliens?
She was even more upset to discover a beacon that her government had hidden from the rest of the galaxy. Their attempts to retrieve a new playmate for Javik failed when Kai Leng appeared. The fight went as follows:
Leng: *cheap ninja shiz*
Shep: *bam*
Leng: "I NEED TO RECHARGE!"
Gunship: *bam bam bam bam bam bam bam*
Leng: *cheap ninja shiz*
Rinse and repeat.
Leng realised he shouldn't have brought a sword to a gunfight, and used bigger guns to destroy the temple.
Shep was very depressed at losing the data. The end to the Reaper war was in sight, and he lost it to a nitwit with a sword. Neither he nor the asari councillor had the energy to be angry at each other, so he went to watch Liara blow up at Javik. Although Javik brings these things on himself, Shep decided it was unfair for Liara to blame any of this on him personally. Shep then had his own argument with Joker (out of character moment for most of my Sheps!). But it was concluded with the touching idea that Joker was looking out for Shep's wellbeing to make up for getting them spaced.
Everyone's concerned about Liara's emotional state. That's good, they can go talk to her about it instead. Shep's involvement was limited to: "Can you still do your job? Good. I should go."
He had a very sweet conversation with Tali though.
I don't dislike Liara as much as my posts might make it sound. But she can be rather irritating, particularly on Thessia.

Just finished replaying Menae with Garrus dead. I delayed the talk with James there, too, but how disappointing. He will only say the old sentence on how it went with the Council. Shepard then says they have to rescue the turian primarch, which they... just did. That's really bad ![]()

Liara was being a little silly again with her "Maybe next time the Alliance can spring for air support." They're defending their own planet, Liara. The Alliance isn't going to reward the asari for defending Thessia.
There are two possibilities here:
1) Liara has been aboard the Normandy for so long she forgets that the Asari are not part of the Alliance.
2) Liara has some knowledge of secret negotiations going on whereby the Asari Republics are planning on joining the Alliance similar to the way the Volus joined the Turian Primacy.
(Of course, the most likely reason is due to the most common explanation of problems in the MEU: bad writing.)

The only explanation I have for that line is that since Shepard is technically Alliance and his mission is vital to the war effort, Alliance could've backed him up on Thessia. The air support is not for Thessia but rather for the mission.

Far too logical Vaz. I prefer to think of Liara as a bit unbalanced
and Shepard not too concerned with the occasional friendly fire pot shot going her way. ![]()

Jen Shepard (Biotic/Slam Soldier), feeling like she needs a break from fighting a war, decided to visit Anderson's apartment.
Anderson's apartment is a lot bigger and better furnished than her own apartment on Intai'sei, if it is still standing. (Yay!)
But then Anderson quickly interrupted her by calling her long distance. (Boo!)
But then Anderson gave her the apartment. (Yay!)
But then Joker invited her to lunch. (Boo!)
To her favorite sushi place. (Yay!)
Which was then ambushed by mercs looking to kill her. (Boo!)
She then fell through a fish tank down several stories. (Ow!)
But she survived and killed a bunch of the mercs on her way to safety. (Sweet vengeance!)
But then the mercs ambushed her again. (Oh come on...)
But Wrex jumped in and beat them all up. (Just like old times...)
And together they shot the crap out of a car lot with lots and lots of bullets. (Just hold down the trigger and spray!)
Liara tracked the mercs to a shady casino owner.
Jen hates casinos. Casinos always want her to give them her money by playing their crappy rigged games, money better spent on guns and armor and more guns.
Wrex hates casinos, too. Or perhaps more accurately, hates dressing up in a suit. I agree Wrex, you do look ridiculous.
Jen found the casino owner. He was dead.
Someone called the dead casino owner. It was the merc leader. He taunted Shepard. Shepard was not impressed.
Someone tried to use Shepard's Spectre codes at the Citadel Archives.
Jen Shepard never liked libraries; too much reading. She prefers shooting.
Mercs were being noisy at the archives. Jen played librarian and shushed them with her guns. They went silent.
The merc leader turned out to be her clone. Maya Brooks turned out to be a traitor. Both immediately went to the top of Shepard's "Must Kill" list.
Brooks and the clone tried to lock Sheaprd in the archives for an impromptu slumber party. Jen Shepard also hates slumber parties.
Glyph unlocked the archives so they could leave.
Jen was now too mad to bother using biotics, so she took Garrus and James to the Normandy for a gun orgy.
(Note: Jen Shepard thinks gun orgies are not nearly as fun without Elcor strippers. You don't want to know.)
Jen killed more mercs, then Traynor got her aboard the Normandy.
Jen cleared out the Normandy CIC.
Jen saw that the clone was throwing stuff out of her cabin.
Jen found out that the clone was giving her hamster to an animal shelter.
The clone will soon bleed red.

Went to Feros....locals seemed to be having some problems with some plant and went feral. Fertilzed them all
Then Ashley started chatting me up even though I have only been polite to her and avoided showing any romantic interest
Oh and then Liara said she wanted a piece of me too
Shepard is taking a cold shower right now

Indoctrination Theory (IT) was all the rage here back in 2012 from what I gather. I wasn't here then. There were a lot of threads on it. Eventually, the mods shut down discussion of IT. You might want to do a search on IT or Indoctrination Theory. There is also a thread in the MEA forum asking how IT relates to the move to Andromeda.

And what came was not what IT believers wanted. It was everything, but... It was then proven not true by the Extended Cut DLC. IT never explained what happened to the Reapers. Does that mean everything after Eden Prime was all in Shep's head? ![]()

I am not a fan of IT or supportive of it, though it's an interesting concept.
And wasn't it also confirmed by a tweet from Mike Gamble saying Shepard is on the Citadel during the breath scene, which disproved IT?

Apparently, the Alliance spent two years being too busy that they have to ask the formerly deceased Commander to go to her graveyard and find what remains of her crew.
Then she went to Aratoht to rescue Hackett's 'friend' but it turns out that it was a trap
So she tried to kill Hackett's crazy friend
Then she meet up with Ol' Harby
then she destroy a relay because she didn't want to see the nasty bugger again
but she killed a colony
although the Batarians killed her family and a whole lot others, but it still make her sad.
Then Anderson quit politics in style
and Revvie had to go back on Earth in chains and she had a lot of therapy and a lot of make-up sex with Kaidan for six months.
Since I'm not in the mood to start the Party or finish my last ME3 playthrough (urgh... Priority : London) so I'm replaying everything again. Yeah, I'm that boring... but I'm not sure I'm going to keep updating..... then again some of the MEA threads are really toxic...
Heard about IT, didn't really care for it. I believe Shepard was suffering through a process of indoctrination... but I don't believe that everything is a dream. Pffft...

Last night, Jen Shepard (Biotic/Slam Soldier), Garrus, and James took the elevator to the Normandy's Cargo Bay and took revenge on the clone for messing with Shepard's cabin and messing with James's weights (he just got them set up the right).
Shepard tried saving the clone at the end, but the clone refused and committed suicide by diving into a building really hard.
Back at the apartment, Joker suggested throwing a party. Shepard outwardly agreed it was a good idea, but internally thinks that the party will go horribly wrong since she is having a long string of bad luck whenever she tries to relax.

I am pretty sure IT was driven by some fans who were hoping that the "real ending" was going to be release later as a DLC. Instead, what they got was the EC which pretty much quashed IT.
