I have been trying to work this out and I am having problems getting it to work:
Miranda team lead, Kasumi vents
Jack bubble, Miranda 2nd team lead
Does someone do the escort?
Shepard's final team: Miranda, Jack or Kasumi
Hold the Line:
Garrus - 3, Zaeed - 4, Grunt - 4
Thane - 1, Legion - 1, Samara - 1, Jacob - 1
Mordin - 0, Tali - 0
= 15 points for 9 team mates < 2 average = 1 dead squad mate or
no escort
Shepard's final team, Jack and Kasumi
Miranda +2
= 17 points for 10 team mates < 2 average = 1 dead squad mate.
I will most likely change it to having 6 loyal and 6 not loyal
all upgrades
Miranda fireteam leader both times
Jack with the barrier
Kasumi in the vent
Mordin escort the crew back
Kasumi and Jack fight the proto reape
my only concern is Tali holding the line.
If I was not to do Mordin's loyalty mission and send Kasumi with the crew, I would have Jack and Miranda fight the proto reaper. I would mosat likely have Mordin die when holding the line.
When it comes to the averages for holding the line, I don't pay attention to it since it's never been right for me
Frustrated by Cerberus, RJ wants to strike at them. Following Kai Leng, the team end up at Sanctuary, Horizon. Discovering that Miranda is ahead of them, and having here Miranda's sister via a communication, Shepard pushes forward to try and help out. After catching up, and allowing Miranda to kill her father, and ends up with what she needs to finally strike Cerberus.
However, wanting the Normandy and the crew at their best before heading to the station, RJ decides to finally follow Hackett's order from after the coup attempt and take shore leave. shortly after accepting the apartment from Anderson, she gets a message from Joker asking her to join him for lunch.
She gets concerned when Joker said it was her to invited him. She is even more wary of Brooks, who shows up saying that someone was trying to kill her that wasn't her usual enemies. a shootout opens up, and soon RJ finds herself going for quite the fall. after reunited with Kaidan and Wrex, Shepard mutters darkly at how Shore Leave was pretty much canceled, with Kaidan soothing her by saying they'll carve out some time for the two of them. After a nasty mess at the casino, Shepard calls all hands on deck to head to the archives.
Only to discover a clone. rattled but not completely unnerved, RJ pushes to stop this clone, only for her to imprison her and the team. caught off guard by how the clone said 'I should go' Shepard rants about it, saying it differently with different stresses, to the irritation of her teammates who ask her why she wasn't worried about being stuck. She immediately calls for Glyph, despite her minor irritation with the drone, to free them.
"If someone told me this morning a toothbrush was going to save the Normandy, I would have been skeptical." she comments as they board the Normandy after the Clone calls for take off. finding her hamster and her ship models in a bin for disposal, Shepard rambles at how uncool that was, and that it was even more personal. A tense battle in the Hanger (complete with James' weights rolling about), RJ bests the clone, and has Brooks imprisoned.
Afterward, James comes to the Apartment to show RJ his tattoo. As he was prepping to leave he spots the punching bag in the back room. RJ originally hopped up on the bar to just do a few pull ups, but when James commented that his best was 182, she felt the need to challenge it.
One simply never tells RJ Shepard their best score if they wish to keep it.

We head back to the Citadel again. I believe the Commander will check on the LtCdr and see how she's doing. I head back to purgatory. Its hard to believe no one is concerned a bout what is happening with the galaxy. I'll head back to the ship to get readys for the next mission
After being dropped off on Tuchanka, the Commander talks with Lt Victus who sends a flare in the sky to mark his location. Lets go. It's weird having the robot or edi with us. On Mars it was trying to kill Shepard and nearly killed the LtCdr. I think the Commander ignores it. I wonder what the mission was for the Turians to come here for. Find a couple of escape pods. No survivors. Sounds like shooting ahead. It's a harvester. Good. Saved the Turians. We fight a couple more harvesters and saving Turians. There's Lt. Victus
You got to be kidding. They came here to stop a bomb that Cerberus has. How did they find that out? Victus can't motivate his group to continue. Wow. The Commander told him to pull his head out of his backside. Nice. We head back to the Normandy. I guess were going to help with the bomb
I thought we were going to help with the bomb. The Commander wouldn't let it explode. Would she? This isn't right. No time to worry. We have to get to the shroud to cure the genophage. That sucks. A Turian fighter crashes into the Krogan trucks. Lets use the tunnel. What's with all the tremors? That's a big one. What? Kalros? What is a Kalros? There's my answer. Oh crap.I don't want to die here. What is that thing? Rachni? No way. We get back outside and run into more reaper forces.
There's Wreav. Now to get to the hammers to summon Kalros to deal with the reaper. I got shot by a reaper. Thanks Commander. She tells me to consider it practice. I believe she's having fun. Yeah. She's Satan in human form. I can't think of anyone enjoying this. The edi makes some comment about this being the definition of insanity. We head back to the trucks. I turn around. WOW. Kalros just wrapped itself around the reaper and pulled it underground. Awesome.
I learn were headed back to the Citadel. It will take time. I wonder if the Commander will come down and punish the punching bag. I'm going to workout
So Naseem Shepard went to the Citadel. To say it was a bit disappointing is an understatement.
Humanity is now council head, humans everywhere. Seems that the bureaucracy dusted off some old guidelines how to keep terrorists out of the "country." Funny thing, we docked our clearly recognizable Cerberus vessel in one of the wards. C-Sec found out, that Shep is supposed to be dead. Uh ok, what a surprise. Luckily Conrad Verner is the head of C-Sec.Ah no, it´s another fanboy called Bailey. So he declares me alive again, that´s nice.
So went to the council afterwards but they refused to see me. Who made Udina councilor, I am sure it wasn´t me(uh well seems I overlooked a flag or so).
Got a few nice words from Anderson but nothing else. Seems that Udina blocks any kind of support from the Alliance for me. I am surprised that there were no assassins when I went back to the ship. Seems that not all is well in the new human led galaxy.
The turians don´care about Farixen anymore, Avina sents any critical comments to C-Sec and Alliance and council had thrown me under the bus. So seems, living as a Cerberus operative is the only option. If I went to the Alliance directly, Udina´s friends would probably lock me up in the darkest pit they could find.
Oh and I met a girl named Kasumi. Seems that TIM thinks a master thief would be a fine addition to our group. Uh well, I doubt that brute strength alone would work against an army of collectors, so seems fine to me. That dude Zaeed that joined us when I left Omega seems to be a trigger happy maniac. So someone with brains is a fine addition. At least she is not a card carrying member of the Klan eh Cerberus. Human supremacy seemed fine and dandy at first but I see not much difference to the old council.
Part of her contract deal was to help steal a graybox from a dude on Bekenstein who killed her former lover. Ok, it´s just around the galactic corner, so let´s fulfill our obligations. Went to a party, broke in a high security safe which was rather easy. Too easy. Ok perhaps it was easy because Kasumi knew what she was doing. The host, Donovan Hock did the giant head holo thing and mocked us. Yeah fine got it, grabbed the gun which killed two presidents from the table and did some innovative redecorating. Sheesh. If you wanna do Bond villain, don´t trap us in a safe with priceless art. now it´s expensive trash. Giant head made angry face at us.
Hock also had a lot of evil henchmen, mechs and some dudes calles Eclipse. He did this "kill them , kill them all" thing and they poured in from another entrance. Didn´t matter, mowed them down, found out that my thief is good in a fight, too. Ah she´s japanese, probably trained in the ninja subclass. ![]()
After we slaughtered us through his goons, blew up a wall and did some general mayhem, Hock got a bit annoyed and attacked us with his gunship. Kasumi did some awesome acrobatics, jumped on his vehicle and sabotaged it. Definitely ninja subclass. Memo to myself: If I ever have a japanese sitting on my front window, don´t just sit there making a grim face or do stupid stuff, like pulling out a pistol shooting him. ![]()
After the sabotage it was easy. Shot the thing down with my pistol. Yeah gunships can´t take the heat from our awesome scifi guns. ![]()
Left Bekenstein with the graybox. Kasumi went totally emo over the memories of her dead lover. Uhoh, that´s not good. Told her to destroy the data, her boyfriend wanted that anyways and I don´t think she would ever get over it, if she kept them.
Aaaw, Mike, you make my little Vega heart happy ![]()
I continued with my playthrough as well. Can't wait to fight some real stuff again, I like the geth consensus mission, but it can get a bit boring after a while ![]()
After our narrow escape from the geth dreadnought, I checked up on this geth. It did save us after all and maybe I could learn some more things about it. Since it mentioned a server that controls geth fighters which are targeting the quarian liveships, this is where we will go next and I asked it more about this server. If we can stop these geth it would be a huge success, the liveships are crucial for the quarians survival, and thus... more quarians to fight the Reapers.
It also made some comments that not all geth are like the ones we fought back a few years ago, and many wish for peace. That's interesting, but I don't know if I can trust it.
Afterwards I asked Tali if she would join us, but she seemed reluctant. I don't get her right now. We're at war with the Reapers, and if we don't win this, they don't even have a homeworld to return to anymore. Well, one can hope she'll change her mind.
While we were on our way to the geth server on Rannoch, I took the opportunity to talk the crew once again.
I asked Garrus if he had heard about his family, but nothing. Damn, I hope he'll get news soon. The good ones. We talked about the war, and that sometimes we gotta go down the ruthless path to achieve something. I know I have lived by this for some time now with the Alliance, but this war takes a lot more. It takes everything.
Javik was very concerned about letting the "machine" on board. I get it, but we need it right now, it's useful. I asked Javik about the machines in his cycle, and now I know why he hates them. I do know to be careful though and I tell our Prothean that I know what they're capable of. I've seen it first-hand after all.
Then James had the same concerns, and I reassured him I share his worries and that I'll keep an eye on the geth, and so will he. He also said that if all quarians were like Tali, we wouldn't be stuck in this quarian-geth war right now when there are more important things to do. I really agree with him. It seems I do that a lot.
He did admit though the prospect of all our lives ending can make people a bit more crazy.
But told me that still not everyone is as crazy as I am. Well thanks for the compliment. I guess.
Cortez took James, Tali and me to the Rannoch server. The geth explained during our ride that I would need to enter the geth consensus. Sounds weird, especially after seeing what Project Overlord did, but what are the options? We need to get this done and move on with the real business.
Once we arrived, the geth connected me to the consensus. It was a strange place.
I proceeded through various access points, and learned more about the quarian-geth war history from the geth's recordings. What the geth did to preserve themselves. I guess we all fight when we feel threatened. But right now I really just don't care who started what, I only care about the war, and how many allies I can get.
As the server was taken care of I was eager to return, glad to be back in the real world, with James and Tali waiting for me.
It had worked and the liveships were safe. And not only that. Our geth transferred some programs into the surrounding geth primes, of course just on a whim they might wish to join us. I knew it couldn't be trusted, and if I think about what could've happened if this had gone wrong, I just want to put a bullet in this thing. But fine. If they fight, we can at least use them.
We returned to the Normandy and Raan told me Admiral Koris is still out there. Time for another rescue then before heading to the Reaper base.
An argument broke out between Raan and Gerrel. Gerrel's heavy fleet seems to be in a bad position, unable to retreat without being flanked by geth. I supported him for once, we need everything we can get from the heavy fleet, so I told Raan to send back-up via her own patrol fleet.
While we headed for Koris's location, I made another quick round to check up on the squad.
So I learned that James can cook and witnessed how he got played by Javik. Poor James, but it was amusing to watch.
Some fun stuff:
Some time after getting drunk with Dr. Chakwas, Reyes and Crew reached the Krogan DMZ and the orbit of Tuchanka. Clan Urdnot seemed to be the dominant force on the planet at the time – maybe a good sign, the Illusive Man had told Reyes that her old crewmate Urdnot Wrex hadn’t left Tuchanka for over a year, so he would be present and maybe able to help her out if she was able to contact him. She boarded the shuttle down to the planet with Grunt and Garrus, as Grunt’s problem seemed to be something a Krogan doctor had to take a closer look at. Garrus was of course someone whose abilities she highly trusted and who would probably want to meet Wrex again, but also a way of testing the waters. There were tensions between the Krogans of Tuchanka and the turians and salarians, so if they reacted hostile to Garrus’ presence, Shepard would probably have to find a way to bring Mordin down there without being seen when searching for Maelon.
The planet itself turned out to be exactly the hostile and decrepit hellhole it was usually described as. The shuttle had a hard time navigating through the storm raging over the city ruins where the Urdnot camp was located, but they eventually managed to enter the interior and were greeted rather friendly for krogan conditions. The clan leader was expecting them and Grunts problem appeared to be pretty obvious to the first few krogans they met, so things seemed like they might go over well, if they could win the clan leader’s favor. It didn’t last long however until Reyes overheard two krogans fantasizing about killing turians and salarians, specifically about tearing off a turian’s scales. Garrus didn’t seem too worried though, and assured Reyes that he was perfectly able to look out for himself – he had fought way more experienced and tougher krogans than those young idiots on Tuchanka who were eager for their first fight with an alien.
The entire atmosphere there was tense and filled with aggression and a ton of old dust. The place was basically a ruin with barely any infrastructure left – Grunt had apparently imagined something a little different. He seemed disappointed when he said that this rock was barely worth standing on. Reyes didn’t exactly feel at home there either, but at least they soon met a familiar face: Wrex, who also turned out to be the current leader of clan Urdnot and probably the most influential Krogan on Tuchanka. He gave Shepard and her team a warm welcome, greeted her as a friend and was curious to hear how she did after her victory against Saren and the destruction of the original Normandy. It felt good to see him again, eventhough the circumstances could have been more pleasant. Apparently Wrex had seized control of a good number of clans and was working on his plan to reunite the krogans and advance them as a species, but he also said that he wasn’t trying to change what they were. Reyes wasn’t sure what to think of that, seeing the state that Tuchanka and the krogan species were in seemed to promise nothing but trouble, should they ever manage to rebuild their empire. She respected and valued Wrex as a person, but she also knew that the Genophage was there for a very solid reason.
When they asked Wrex about Grunt’s condition, it turned out that it was nothing unusual for a young krogan and that he had to pass an initiation rite in order to become an adult and member of a clan. A krogan named Uvenk who had been present the entire time, as Shepard and Co. had interrupted his meeting with Wrex, took some offence however, when Wrex offered to make Grunt a part of Clan Urdnot. Apparently it would be a problem to some that he had been created by Okeer and bred in a tank. He stormed off however, after he realized that Wrex wouldn’t allow any objections.
Wrex claimed that the other clans wouldn’t dare to question him and he trusted Shepard’s judgement – when Grunt was with her, he would gladly welcome him in his clan. In the end it was Grunts decision and when he accepted, they were sent to meet with the clan’s shaman in order to start the rite.
Before that they had a look around the Urdnot camp, talked to some people, got some new equipment and overheard a few conversations. Some of the krogan seemed to suffer under the separation from women and children due to the genophage, but Reyes couldn’t feel too sorry for them after finding out that it was a common practice to attack a clan’s women and children in order to destroy it until Wrex stepped in or that the krogan used to abduct quarians and make them repair their equipment, until they gave it up and started fixing their stuff themselves. The so called “scientist” Fortack had nothing on his mind, but developing weapons and even admitted that he killed his predecessor to get his position. When finally entering the shaman’s place, she also talked to the ambassador of clan Nakmor, whose clan wanted to join Wrex in order to gain access to bigger battles and better chances at pillaging other clans’ settlements. Reyes started to get the feeling that Wrex was the only krogan in that entire place who had any higher aspirations than causing death and destruction.
They had another run-in with Uvenk, who tried to stop the shaman from accepting Grunt to the rite of passage. The shaman didn’t budge however and when Reyes told him that Uvenk reminded her of those shady politicians on the citadel, he was pissed, but eventually had to leave, embarrassed in front of his own men. The shaman gave a vague description of what awaited Grunt during the rite and after Shepard agreed on being part of Grunt’s “krantt” during the fight, they were brought to the Keystone. Reyes had also called for Jack to come down on the planet and give them a hand with this rite. It sounded like something that called for a crazed biotic and lots of brute force. Jack and Grunt had gotten along pretty well in the past and the fight that ensued after activating the Keystone seemed right up their alley. The shot a few dozen Varren and Klixen, before a Thresher Maw showed up and it wasn’t the first time that Reyes and her team managed to take one down. After the beast was dead and the rite was over however, a ship landed near the Keystone and it turned out Uvenk had changed his plans and now intended to recruit Grunt for his own clan. He wanted to gain a political advantage, but without actually giving Grunt the full rights of a clan member and while keeping him on Tuchanka and off any alien ships. Shepard left the decision to Grunt, knowing that Uvenk would get his answer at bullet speed. Everything went as expected and after the last of Uvenk’s men were dead, Reyes, Grunt and Jack returned to the shaman who took them back to the Urdnot settlement.
Grunt was accepted into the clan and everyone seemed extremely impressed with the Thresher Maw’s death, as no one had managed to actually kill it since Wrex’s rite of passage back in the day. Grunt was also free to choose his battlemaster now, but didn’t hesitate to name Shepard as the one he intended to serve under. They had a short conversation with the shaman after that. He talked about his profession and the past of Tuchanka and that it would be reborn and destroyed again and again until the krogan civilization would reach its peak and be unstoppable one day. He also explained that violence and death are integral parts of the krogan spirit – as if Reyes needed any further proof that a horde of krogan was something that she never wanted this galaxy to experience again. Wrex had made it clear that he didn’t intend to change the nature of his species and as much as Reyes understood his wish to advance his own species and give them a better future, she also knew that a bright future for the krogan meant nothing but trouble for everyone else. Wrex was in the middle of creating a centralized krogan government and while he may be a capable leader, the implications of what a strengthened krogan species might be capable of once he lost control were not very cheery. Reyes didn’t like what she was seeing on Tuchanka and the sooner they found out what had happened to Mordin’s former assistant Maelon, the sooner they would be able to leave.
The so called “scientist” Fortack had nothing on his mind, but developing weapons ...
"The reaction produced could be... catastrophic. Perfect!"
"There are always new ways to destroy things. To melt them! To tear them apart! There is always room for another weapon on Tuchanka."
Life as Naseem Shepard, Cerberus space terrorist isn´t really exciting. Got kicked out of being a Spectre. Ah well, sucked anyways. And the Alliance refuses to hand over my pay for the last two years or even acknowledge that I am still alive. Perhaps it wasn´t a good idea to ask for death benefits.
Kasumi is still moping and mad at me for deleting the dead man´s chest eh box. Seems that there is no point in trying to make a move on her. Can´t compete with a dead guy.
So went on with my mission. Have to recruit someone who is in prison, an old, grumpy krogan and a dude who calls himself archangel killing criminals on Omega. Wanna meet the person who wrote up these dossiers, who in his right mind would choose people like that?
Ah well, have to think about that a little bit more. In the meantime I took a tour to the old Normandy crash site. Old memories, some painful. Collected a lot of dog tags, it´s sad that i actually don´t know anything about the people who died under my command. Even Pressly. Hi, what you think about aliens, bye. Sad, sad.
Afterwards I looked after some dudes from a project called Firewalker. Hm weird. They got a nice vehicle though. No armor, fast and homing missiles as weapons. Wonder who would take a fast assault vehicle on an exploration mission? Seems they ran into geth. Killed the lampheads collected some data lying around and nearly got roasted by a volcano. Ah just like Therum, good old times. Also found a prothean artifact that´s now part of interior decoration. Reminds me of Liara, wonder what the blue doctor is doing nowadays. Probably buried her pretty head in some prothean dig site or so. Seems that the Geth and the Collectors work together. One of the doctors sold out to the Collectors after they blackmailed him but they sent the geth after the team. Odd. Seems that the Collectors don´t have a lot of manpower at their dispoal if they have to subcontract. At least some good news, don´t wanna take on a huge army with a frigate and eight mercenaries.
Oh also found some minerals lying around. had no clue what to do with them, until EDI and the good doctor explained to me that we have to fabricate our own upgrades. Makes sense, we can´t dock at an alliance wharf and just order upgrades.
So we did some mining with our probes. I was a bit concerned. We are firing stuff from orbit on the ground. Is no one already claiming these areas? I hope we didn´t accidentally hit someone when we fired these things. They aren´t small after all. Ordered the activation of the stealth mode. Last thing I want is someone scrambling fighters because a Cerberus vessel is shooting objects from orbits at the surface. I still wouldn´t be surprised to hear about random Cerberus attacks on unsuspecting colonies and mining stations in the news. Let´s hope that the only crime we committed was theft instead of accidental manslaughter.

@Dantriges - Was your current Shepard by any chance inspired by this character...? ![]()
I don´t know that guy, so any similairities are purely coincidence. Where is he from?
Reread the Bekenstein mission and got some ideas. Perhaps I fast forward to a certain cutscene a few years later before I forget.
A few months later in the life of Naseem Shepard the former spectre, former Cerberus, now again Spectre and Alliance commander.
Seems my old buddies from Cerberus went total bonkers and attacked the Citadel, council included. Ah well, I can understand killing councilors is a fun activity, did some myself but I need these morons.
So let´s jump into this C-Sec skycar and rescue them.
Oh this japanese guy jumped onto my vehicle? Wasn´t there a memo for that, something with Kasumi? "Voice assist: memo Kasumi" "Never let a japanese ninja stay on your flying vehicle." Ah ok. let´s tilt it.
"Fellow officer, you had an accident and collided with a still living pedestrian, safety autopilot engaged."*
"WTF? He is not a pedestrian we rammed, he´s trying to kill us."
"I am sorry officer, you violated rule 172575 Proper and polite conduct while on duty. Please enter the manual override code and your ID number to override automatic safety features."
Now I know why Garrus complained about the rules all the time. Screw that, I overload his shields and..., hey wait, why isn´t overload working."
"Hello Commander, I am Cortana your omni tool voice assistant, please close all civilian appliances before activating combat mode."
"Eh what?"
"Also the overload function is disabled while inside a flying vehicle for your own safety. And well because of that lawsuit back in 2184."
"You are giving me a headache."
"I am sorry commander, shall I make an appointment with your doctor?"
"Ah forget it you useless voice box."
"Your feedback is important to us, I have sent your complaint to customer service. Do you want to add a comment?"
"No. I am just shooting with my nontalking pistol beep beep beep."
"I am happy to tell you there is an app for that. Our company offers you the latest state of the art voice controlled pistol, networked with your Cortana omni tool app."
"Officer, your vehicle has a fatal breakdown of vital operations, brace for impact."
Javik: "We are surrounded by traitorous machines, Commander, we should kill them."
Liara: "Can you please wait until we hit the ground before you go crazy?"
Shep: "I will get rid of this upgrade as soon as possible..."
Liara: "Not helping Shep. Javik put down the plasma rifle!"
Javik: "I only take orders from one primitive, Asari."
Liara: "You...stupid prothean..."
Javik: "Even our curses were superior in our cycle, Asari."
"Shall I make an appointment for that in your personal calendar?"
Shep: "Yeah sure."
Liara: "My name is..."
"Impact."
"Thanks for using Cortana."
*car autopilot voice.
Ah, combat again at last
F*cked up a few combos, but at least didn't die, yay.
After meeting some turbulences from being shot at by AA guns while being in the shuttle, James, Tali and I set foot on Rannoch to look for Admiral Koris. Hope we can find him quick. We proceeded towards the jamming tower while killing some geth in our way until we reached the first of the AA guns. I assigned James to disable it. I know it's not his specialty, but he had an... uh, interesting way to show off the physical skills he has. Pure strength. I could only shake my head at his brutish approach, but in the end he got the job done!
Well, Tali might have been much faster, but she's more experienced with the geth and I need her to fight with me.
We pressed on and stumbled over a badly injured quarian. Seems that for him it's already too late. He was brave, tried to buy other civilians time by fending off geth. First time he held a gun, too. Sh*t. Poor fella.
Before he went out I asked him where Koris is, but we didn't get any new information. We'll radio him once that jamming tower is offline.
Now came the tricky part. Disabling the remaining two AA guns while fighting waves of geth. James did his job on the guns while Tali and I hit the geth with everything we've got. It went quite smooth, and after both AA guns were offline, I radioed Cortez.
Steve took out that jamming tower all right, and Admiral Koris came through.
We boarded the shuttle and I asked for his location, but he was reluctant, wanted us to save his crew. Sorry, that's not happening. I told him I needed him to lead his fleet in order to end this war between the geth and the quarians, that I need his help. That seemed to have done the trick. I knew he felt bad and selfish, and I also didn't like we have to leave these civilians behind, but in the end run, Koris is way too valuable. Since he also mentioned that even the civilians picked up guns in their current situation, I'm hoping for even more support for the Reapers.
We backed Koris by taking out the geth around him with a turret, and he came aboard. One of the geth's rockets missed us by a few inches. Damn, we gotta get out of here.
Koris still had his hopes up that we have time to rescue his crew, but noone answered when he tried to raise them. And we couldn't delay much further, we had to bring the Admiral back to his fleet.
Afterwards I had another chat with Koris in the Normandy's comm room, telling me I can count on his support in the war. Good, I had hoped to hear that.
Next stop is the Reaper base and I had time for talking to my crew again before arriving.
Garrus had his father on the line when I walked in and I was glad for him, but communication broke off not soon after. Doesn't sound good, huh.
Javik and EDI had a heated argument over Synthetics. While I have nothing against EDI, and I do like her and her analytical skills, I don't really consider her alive. She's still just an AI... now in a synthetic body.
So I backed up Javik a bit, but I wanted nothing more than for them to break up their fight. They should focus their energy on more important things. I succeeded, good my words count for something here.
Picture and fun stuff time!
Never watched them when the squaddies worked on stuff. That´s really funny. ![]()

I think James is a... special case

@Dantriges, it's Nazeem from Skyrim ![]()
Seems I got a run.
A new day in the life of Naseem Shepard, former spectre, former alliance officer, currently rogue miner and Cerberus dude.
A stealth ship is nice but the returning cargo pods from the probes weren´t stealthy. Had some debates with angry miners.
Ah well, I don´t care about some corp´s bottom line. They should be happy that Cerberus is a prohuman terrorist group and not anti capitalist. Well we left before we had to shoot anyone.
Finally made a decision to get the convict out of prison. Dude called Jack or so. He´s sitting on a prisonship called Purgatory, Ok...sounds like one of the not so nice prisons. Ah well prisons, remember the good old times when I was a regular guest in the local police station back on Earth. Miranda mentioned that Aria said that this Archangel dude is under siege or so. Oh well tough luck, he made his choice when he went to Omega to put a bullet in the heads of people less fortunate in life.
So we docked at the Purgatory. Took Zaeed and Jacob with me. Zaeed knows these mercenary dudes and he looks like he did some time himself, Jacob, well someone has to handle the paperwork and no one told me how to transfer Cerberus funds. Could have taken Miranda but in case things go south as always, Jacob is more useful than another sentinel.
Met the director. A real sunshine. Was blathering about stupid rules standing in the way of enforcing the law. I don´t know why but these turians seem to have a real problem with regulations. Some of his shiny birdboys tortured a prisoner just around the corner. Even Zaeed was disgusted and well these law and order types who don´t follow their own rules annoy me. Told Torquemada to stop that sh**.
So big surprise, instead of handing over Jack, the director asked us to please imprison ourselves. Please what?
Yeah seems that people would pay a lot of money for me it seems. He even sold tickets for a "Punch the Shepard" event before the auction to sell me off. Yeah nice dude.
Ok, business as usual, some mechs tried to arrest us, we shot them and some other dudes calling themselves the Blue Sons, some kind of wannabe asari commandos or so. just less competent, less pretty and more males. Ah sry Zaeed said it´s actually Blue Suns. Well ok. what a silly name. I don´t know why Zaeed looked like I slapped him in the face when i replied "What a silly name, what dumba** came up with that."
So we killed the blue mechs and the sons of Loki or so until we reached a console to release Jack from cryo. Big surprise, Jack is a girl even if she did her best to not look like one. Next surprise, Jacob told me that I would release all prisoners If I tamper with the console.
What? I am the tech expert, let me take a look... Seems he is right. How did you know Jacob?
"Commander, this is a ship originally built to transport cattle, now it´s a prison ship run by a mercenary company, that is cutting corners to keep this thing as profitable as possible. This ship is probably only held together by duct tape and super glue."
Jacob has a point. Oh my, looks like a crazy monkey did the wiring. I hope that life support won´t shut down because I have to short circuit some stuff. ![]()
So we thawed out Jack, she went totally bonkers when she woke up, knocked out three Ymirs and disappeared. Was really impressed until I sifted through the remains. Seems that the Blue Suns bought them cheap, too.
We followed Jack and yes, life support is down.
This ship is a death trap. Ah yes death trap. Prisoners tried to kill us, prisoners tried to kill the guards, guards kill the prisoners, guards try to kill us and we kill them. Met the slavetrader, eh the director, put a bullet in his head. He tried to hide behind some hastily constructed shield but it was no match against my awesome technical expertise.
Yes, that´s my story and I stay with it.* Just because I used a gun to shut down the barrier doesn´t mean that disabling it wasn´t a masterpiece of engineering. ![]()
On the way out we met Jack. And we got the next surprise. Jack hates Cerberus with a passion and wants to kill everyone working for them. Ok...who is this drug addled pyjak writing these dossiers and where can I find him and put a bullet in his head? After some tense moments, she finally agreed to join us if I give her access to some Cerberus data. Fine by me. Miranda wasn´t too happy about it later but who cares. I want some answers, too. I have no idea what I am doing half the time but compared to this, I am a tactical genius instead of just plain lucky. Oh wait did I say this out loud? ![]()
Miranda mentioned that we should really get Archangel before it´s too late. Ok fine, I am curious. Considering our current track record it´s probably Corporal Toombs or Saren´s brother who swore to avenge him and skin me alive. Or something like that.
*I hope that´s correct english
Rj heads down to the Strip to try out the simulator, no real hurry to climb to the top of the board... until she started getting E-mails from fans. some were asking for special shows such as slaughtering Geth or taking an Alliance crew against Cerberus, she even soloed some Reapers for a newscaster to have footage for their war news, and those she did happily.
It was those who challenged her to no medi-gel runs, no ammo runs (she praises the M-7 Lancer) that egged her ego and drove her for the top spot. It did not take long for her to be maxing the scoreboard consistently. Many talked happily in the lobby about her matches.
Then came the system bug. wanting to help the Armax officials, Shepard took part in the various tasks, such as the simple Super-Elites, to the risky all bonuses, before they narrowed it down to Spin Arena, Geth Elites, with their superior shields... and the safety net taken down. RJ was nearly unprepared for the five round assult, one round against each of the four enemy types, then the final round against the Super Elites. RJ still is uncertain which of the super elites are the most dangerous, just that each annoy her greatly.
Aside: Ya know, I found the Simulator to be fairly easy on Insanity difficultly, yes I had some trouble on Fatal Error, but that's more from not really being the greatest gamer, but one who enjoys a challenge now and then.
Morticia Shepard

the council died
Udina wants to be councilor. Ok.
Now I need to be killed. I'll see everyone again in 2 years. Have a nice day

Why the heck would Cerberus want to take over the Citadel? Ok. We kill a bunch of Cerberus guys. The C-sec guy tells to head to the Salarain Councilor office. We walk around and see dead bodies everywhere. What? A guy with a sword? You have got to be kidding me. Where's the other 2 Musketeers? Oh crap. Its the salarian from Sur'Kesh. He just saved the councilor's life.
Its sword guy again. Turn the car over Commander. Nevermind. Lets shoot the glass. Hey. Who's flying this thing? The Commander opens the door to shoot at the guy. Oh no. I lost all power. Were going to crash. AHH. OW. DAMN. I'm going to feel that in the morning. More swords. I'm I using the wrong weapon. I should look into that. They're easy to kill though. Did you see that? The Commander knocks one off the balony. I bet he wished he had wings. Haha
Its a giant Cerberus robot. What's it called? Oh yeah. ATLAS. Isn't there a greek guy that goes by that name? Lets take the elevators to get to the council.
Shoot the elevators. Now jump on one. Who's shooting at us? This isn't good. The LtCdr has her weapon pointed at us. I don't want to shoot her. Not sure if the Commander wants to shoot her. This is tense. I feeling like saying something, just not sure what. She stands down. The councilor pulls out a gun. Shepard shoots him.
I head back to the Normandy shaking my head after what happened. We're spending more time shooting each other than shooting at the reapers. That needs to change. I wonder what the next mission will be.

I head up to the Commanders cabin to talk with her. She has some music playing that I never heard of before. Led Zeppelin? Never heard of them. I put the disc down and look around the cabin. Nice models. You should see all the models she has now. Sorry. Got off track. I tell her about getting a recommendation to join the N7 elite. I wanted to get her opinion. The first thing I had to remember is that as an N7 is not to be afraid to put his/her people in a do or die situation. Some even sacrifice themselves if the mission calls for it. She told me to join. Of course that's if we survive the war. As I left I noticed a book near her terminal titled '1000 ways to kill'. What the eff? Yes. She definitely is Satan in human form.
I knew it. The Commander would not let that bomb explode. The LtCdr joins us for the mission. Lt. Victus tells us its a Turian bomb. What is going on? As soon as we land, we come under mortar fire. As I fire at Cerberus I hear a BOOM...BOOM.....BOOM. Oh crap. The LtCdr uses a Black Widow. Damn. Is she and the Commander sisters or something? I swear both are Satan in human form. I wet myself. Yes I did. The two of them show no mercy. Heck there's no point in having me on this mission if both of them can handle themselves.
Will you look at that? That bomb is huge. I don't want to think about the damage it could do. The LtCdr tells me to get my game face on. I say yes ma'am as she switches to her assault weapon. Lt Victus needs time to bypass the firewall. We deal with Cerberus. This isn't fair. I try and kill someone and in comes the Commander or LtCdr to take away my kill. Crap. Victus was able to stop the bomb from exploding, but died while disarming it.
Back on the shuttle, Shepard and Ashley talk about Kaidan. I learned later that he died on Virmire when Shepard was chasing Saren. I could tell the Commander missed him.
Liara, Shepard and Ashley head to Eden Prime to check on some Prothean artifact.
I walk up to the c**kpit to talk with Joker. He told me about a few mission that Shepard was on. He avoided giving details about the Commander's personal life. Hmm. I get the feeling that he and the Commander are not on friendly terms. Not surprising since I get the feeling that the Commander doesn't like anyone.
That Prothean artifact turned out to be a live Prothean. He will help us fight the reapers, but I'm guessing he doesn't care about us or as he refers to us as, primitives. Its good we have another body to help fight the reapers.
The Commander walks over to the punching bag and starts punishing it. I would bet she could beat the crap out of a reaper. I go back to what I was doing while the Commander continues to bully the punching bag
Another chapter in the life of Naseem Shepard, space terrorist, rogue miner, freelance mercenary.
So we went back to Omega. This place is slowly growing on me. It seems that Archangel pissed off a lot of mercenaries, yes Miranda I know that you told me that several times already but it´s hard to listen when you wave this awesome butt around like an Afterlife stripper desperate for a tip. Oh now you are complaining about stupid men only thinking with their lower parts. ![]()
Anyways the mercs know where we can find this guy and we actually need to go through their lines. So Kasumi proposed we sign up as freeloaders or so. Ah no, freelancers. See Miranda, I am able to listen to women if they don´t talk with their genetically enhanced butt.
Took Zaeed with us, he knows the merc business better than me. Even without him, I got that it´s a crappy job offer. We are playing krogan meatshields just without being krogan and without being able to regenerate. Yeah thanks a lot. Just when we left, some stupid teenager wanted to be part of this awesome job. Oh yeah, I remember being that age and doing stupid stuff like joining a gang or enlisting with the Alliance. So I grabbed his crappy gun and told him to get the hell outta here. Even Zaeed approved. Hm,weird seems this old grumpy scarface is slowly becoming my moral advisor. ![]()
After accepting the crappiest job offer ever, they flew us to the place where they cornered Archangel. Yes, kasumi I know we didn´t sign up for real. We talked with the mercs who treated us like crap. Thanks for not letting me feel guilty, if I have to kill you.
Zaeed met an old friend and Kasumi went to steal everything valuable. No one was watching me so I took a detour to their mech depot and did some creative programming.
Afterwards we reported to the guy responsible for this awesome plan how to get us slaughtered. He´s also doing mechanical work. We talked tech and stuff like that until the signal came to start the assault. Seems that sergeant foureyes gets excited easily, he tripped and fell on an active arcwelder. Seems he never heard of workplace safety regulations. Too bad.
It could be that I switched it on and it could be that I touched him with it but try to prove it.
So we assaulted Archangel´s base, some guys blew themselves up when they tried to place a bomb while under gunfire. Sorry for the friendly fire. We killed a bunch of mercs then we finally went to met archangel. Oh, Garrus is Archangel? nearly shot him when he tried to show us a Saren imitation. Seems dude went crazy or could be that he is a little bit tired because he hasn´t slept for a week. Perhaps we should have come sooner. ![]()
The mercenaries tried to disturb our reunion, so we shot them. They came from the basement, shot them, too. Some krogans managed to get inside, shot them, too. Perhaps we should leave but right when we contemplated making our move, the boss of the blue wannabes flew in with a gunship and shot at us. We all moved quickly, only Garrus tried to tank it like a krogan, got shot a dozen times and took a rocket straight in his face. Why would he do that? Oh could be that his reflexes were a bit slow being awake for a week or so. Yeah ok, I get it, we should have definitely come sooner.
Shot down the gunship and left the area afterwards. I was a bit worried about Garrus but the good doctor stitched him back together. Told him to set up camp in the main battery, we still don´t have crewquarters for guests. Hey it´s better than the cargo hold. ![]()
Let´s grab the last one in these awesome dossiers, an ancient krogan warlord.
We went to some dirthole planet full of mercs. I took Zaeed and Jacob with me to the surface. When we landed, we were greeted by speaker announcements.
Jacob was confused, who would use something like that. Well my lazy drill sergeant in boot camp did the same. Drunk some coffee, turned on the speakers and we got our daily dose of insults. Ok, it was a boot camp for people who took the prison or army deal. ![]()
So we killed some blue smurfs, intimidated one wounded soldier to mislead his comrades and let him go free. I wanted to shoot him in the back but Jacob looked like I was about to kick a puppy, so I let him go. Met some krogans, seems that they were cloned experiments or so. One of them talked to us and showed us the way. Uh, a week old with a shotgun and battle armor, what a heartwarming thought. ![]()
We met some more Blue Suns and killed them. Seems their commander confused the mike for the speakers with her comlink as she was bellowing orders for her soldiers over loudspeakers.
Met Okeer after we rampaged through the ruins and finally found the right door. I asked him about his deals with the collectors but he only talked about the genophage and his experiments. Yeah ok, I know, traumatizing event, fine. Merc lady found out where we are and tried to poison us, injecting toxins in the air vents. I got a bit uppity and told Okeer that I now have the upper hand.
He looked at me funny and said: "Human, we will both die, if we don´t stop it, how did a brickhead like you became an alliance commander?"
"Oh that," I replied, "careful fraternization with the right people and I got a few field promotions, after my commanding officers fell in battle."
He simply looked at me. Seems he didn´t get it.
"Well it wasn´t just dumb luck that they fell, I had to shoot my superiors just at the right moment to take the credit for their work."
He still looked at me like he is unable to understand me.
"And well the chick I got close to, is now member of the defense committee, so I have friends in high places. She actually recommended me for spectre duty."
Is his translator working? Still looking at me with this weird krogan face.
Ah finally he said something: "You are the dumbest brick I´ve ever met and I am a krogan. So would you pretty please go and kill the other stupid human who is still issuing orders via speakers, so we don´t die?"
Yeah ok, no need to be mean.
So we went downstairs, killed her, a few clones and a big mech and went upstairs again. Seems Okeer didn´t make it. Too bad, I never came to my favorite part that i was a genuine war hero on Elysium. Seems that his prototype superkrogan is still alive in the clonetank. Ok, let´s take him instead.
Back on the Normandy, my evil henchmen debated if we let big baby out of the tank. I told them it´s my decision to make and that we can vent the cargo hold if he goes crazy. We just send in a crewman to take it for the team. They looked at me like I am crazy or so. Ok ok, I do it myself, killed enough krogans, I am not scared by one.
So went downstairs and pushed the button to let him out. Dude totally went ballistic and pinned me to the wall. EDI asked me if she should vent the cargohold according to my plan. Stupid AI, of course not, I am not a replaceable crewman. Should have sent Joker down here.
Ah well, he wanted a name, a purpose in life and someone to kill. Ok, he named himself and seems he was content after i pointed out that he could kill the collectors together with me or die in this room. A real sweetie.
Visited Jack afterwards. She mentioned that we could become space pirates. I think about it, all this Cerberus stuff isn´t really my thing.
The Illusive man called, let´s see if he has news.
