Brad Shepard (Marksman Sentinel) went into the Geth Consensus and stopped a bunch of Geth fighters from attacking the Quarians. And Legion managed to convince some Geth to join the alliance and put them in a bunch of Geth Prim platforms which was not scary at all.

Brad Shepard (Marksman Sentinel) rescued Admiral Korris, and convinced him to stay with the Civilian Fleet. I used the Incisor; still not a good weapon. Still wish I had Ashley instead of Kaiden; her Disruptor Ammo would be more beneficial against Geth than James' Incendiary Ammo.

He then infiltrated a Geth Base to disable the Reaper signal. Killed a lot of Geth, managed to not get stun-locked by the Geth Primes, then laser-pointed the Reaper Destroyer to death. Finished the mission by picking the blue option to make peace between the Geth and Quarians. I had switched back to the Phaeston on this mission.

Went to the Fuel Reactor on Cyone. Had Garrus go back to help Captain Riley. I used the Avenger; it is still not good.

Stick an Omni Blade on it and go melee? Although at that point you should have a Shotgun Omni Blade which is better, so...

I only took the Avenger for some laughs. Even with James' Incendiary Ammo (with Explosive Burst of course) it still takes about a full clip to kill most enemies. Marksman just makes it quicker to empty the clip. Even on Cyone (Firebase: Reactor) with ammo boxes everywhere I still ran out of clips. Twice.

Restarted my male Shep for ME3

- In jail

- That kid's sorta adorable. Maybe Miranda and I can adopt once all this is over.

- Talk to the Council? ****. They're here.

- Yep, definitely here.

- It's okay kid. I'd hide too.

- Joker's a life saver

- Kid's not so lucky

- Mars? Okay. I guess.

- Sheesh, Ash. I really don't know why Cerberus is here.

- Damn, Liara. Those were some cold-blooded execution-style killings there.

- A holographic Illusive Man is here? Guess I wasn't lucky enough to just be rid of him.

- Running, running, running

- Ash is messed up

- Well, of course the Council won't help

- Bad dream

- Garrus! Just like old time, right buddy?

- Well, Joker will happy with EDI's new "platform"

- No, Ash. You don't get to be mad. Good luck.

- Kelly! At least my fish are safe. Seriously though, get a new ID.

Whoops, went a bit over the top with that one, it's very long. Probably because I couldn't play the whole damn week and need to compensate or so :P

Or maybe because it's one of the key scenes with Vega for my FemShep, haha. Apologies

Glyph had informed me that I got some messages from my squadmates, so I checked my e-mails. The first few of my crew wanted to spend some time with me. I'm all up for that, but first I really need a bit of sleep after taking down the other me.

I had a good night's rest and in the morning I went out to check the Silversun Strip a bit first. Then I was supposed to meet with Traynor in the Arcade Castle for lunch. She didn't show, but then I saw her upstairs playing a round of spacechess... Kepesh-Yakshi, as she told me. She apologized for forgetting lunch, but it's fine. I actually don't mind watching her play instead. Her next opponent was an old aquaintance, and both of them brimmed with rivalry. I watched Traynor in silence and unfortunately she lost, but I told her that she's the one helping to save the galaxy. Everyone can play a game, but only some have the courage in them to help fight something as big as the Reapers.

Javik had gotten an invitation to participate in a "vid", so I met up with him to check it out together. It was... a pretty bizarre experience. They were shooting the new Blasto movie and wanted to get us to act with them. It was weird for Javik, even weirder for me, so we left very quickly. What a bummer.

After this quick visit to the set, I grabbed a bite, then met Garrus in the casino bar on the upper floor for a drink. Just yesterday I stood here with James disabling cameras and stuff. Nice to come back and relax a bit. Without a dress, too. Much better.

I noticed a female turian checking out Garrus as he approached me, and we chatted for a bit, but then I had this idea to do something for the two. Garrus had been alone since... hm, probably even before I first met him.

I took some sips out of my drink while I watched him trying to sweet-talk the female. Too bad it didn't lead to anything, but at least he tried.

I soon headed back to the apartment, but not before picking up the party supplies at the bar first. I'm actually looking forward to the party now.

It was only early afternoon, so I invited EDI over, who wanted my help with picking gifts. First up was Joker, a skycar which she bought right away... without having money. Ah well, I'll make a call to sort this out.

She then said I was up next and presented a ring to me. It's called victory ring, symbolizing not only her hope, but that of many planets.

How sweet of her, I will put it on my dog tag chain. EDI seems... less and less than a machine, but she sure still looks like it. We went over the rest of the squad and then EDI left.

After that there was still time to meet with James, he seemed eager to show me something and I was curious what it would be. We first talked a bit about where he grew up, and he told me he misses the beach and his people. It was nice learning a bit more about him, and I took the opportunity to steer the conversation to the girlfriend topic. But he just laughed and said that he stopped fraternizing when he joined the military, and I remembered his comment about Alliance regs after our casino date.

He actually looks a bit sad, telling me the two don't seem to mix well, and I wonder what had happened that scared him to get into trouble. Not that I don't understand, seeing what happened with Kaidan, but...

I couldn't refrain from telling him that all this hasn't stopped him from being a shameless flirt, but he denied being serious about it. Really, huh?

I tried to provoke some reaction and told him that's too bad, and we got to the point where he said he can never tell if I'm just yanking his chain or not. Well guess what, I can't tell with you either.

All I know is that I felt we had this chemistry going, our game was fun, exciting, I wouldn't mind... a bit more. So I laid all my cards on the table, showing James I'm actually interested in him by getting a lot closer to his face. That caught him off-guard and my heart started beating fast. I somewhat enjoyed I had the upper hand, but this got too serious way too quickly. James blushed hard and was completely taken aback. He wouldn't say anything, and I asked if he doesn't like what he sees, afraid I would not get the answer I would've liked to hear.

He tried really hard to get out a coherent sentence, and it seemed he was just too nervous about me getting all serious, so I continued some more. I asked him what it would take for him to consider to let "us" happen, and he told me he needed to forget that I'm Commander Shepard, for starters.

Wow. That hurt. A lot. I don't get him... So he still sees me as his Commander even after all our flirting? I thought we had grown closer than that. Friends, at the least. I thought we... I expressed my interest in him because I thought that he would have been up for... well, more.

Maybe.

I'm not even sure what I expect out of this...

But could I have been so wrong about the signals he sent? Was that all just in my mind? My thoughts were racing, but I gathered myself quick enough, keeping my face straight. James looked like he wanted to say something, but he didn't, so I asked him what it is he actually came here for.

He turned around and started to take his shirt off. To show me his N7 tattoo. I bit my lower lip, swallowing my disappointment, and told him it looks good, noticing that I'm a bit distracted by his skin, his broad back... and I'm angry at myself that I played his game. I wouldn't be in this embarrassing situation now if I hadn't.

Absentminded I watched James leave, when he discovered the punching bag downstairs.

I followed him and he was all excited and started to have a go at it, asking me if I'm just gonna watch or join in.

I grabbed the pull-up bar and James told me what his record was.

In my disappointment by the way he rejected me, this challenge was exactly what I needed right now. To show him what I got, to not budge, to blow off some steam. Maybe to make him consider again. I'm not even sure why this is so important to me. It's like the Kaidan situation all over again. Being lonely... Or is it the fact that this is like a last chance? We could all be dead tomorrow after all.

I don't know. Sh*t. But I won't back down now.

I had a long way to go to beat James's pull-up record, but I was stubborn enough to make this work. James commented on my progress and I was relieved it still felt kinda normal being around each other, after that awkward moment.

It took some real determination to see this thing through though, and it was getting harder and harder, but eventually, with the last strength I had left in me, I beat Vega's record.

I dropped down, weak and exhausted, but oddly satisfied. Ugh, I'm so gonna regret this, my arms are feeling all kinds of weird right now, but it felt damn good I impressed him.

When James asked me how I felt I said what first came to my mind, that I might need some help pulling on my armor next time. Good we're on shore leave and I don't need to for some time.

But James just looked at me, saying he's happy to help me with that. And here he goes again... Didn't he just turn me down? Or didn't he actually mean it? I don't get him, I really don't. Just... stop teasing if you don't mean it, James.

I couldn't get this whole thing out of my head for the entire evening, barely able to enjoy a nice bath in the hot tub upstairs, but the day was busy and exhausting and at least I fell asleep in no time afterwards.

Some pics I grabbed today :)

Spoiler

Fun Fact #1: Emma couldn't report in to the Council like a good girl as it kept crashing.

Fun Fact #2: Instant kill snipers when you are level 53 still aren't amusing.

Fun Fact #3: I'd forgotten how massively overpowered biotics are in this game; a combination of lift, throw and singularity pretty much renders any fight a turkey shoot.

Fun Fact #4: I've actually got over 400 images already despite trying to not keep taking them. At least I am only posting a few on here :P

Brad Shepard (Marksman Sentinel), after having brokered peace between the Geth and Quarians, went back to the Citadel for some exercise (translation: running around without getting shot). He ran around handing certain people some items that he had found on random planets. And because he still had some time, he went to visit Anderson's apartment per Admiral Hackett's orders.

But then Anderson called and gave him the apartment. Shepard accepted the apartment with a smile, but after he wondered if he should have asked Anderson about the price of the apartment. If Anderson had paid for the apartment up-front, then it was a very generous gift. If Shepard has to pay rent on the place -- and considering its location it could be an expensive rent -- then Shepard has no idea how he is going to pay for it on a Spectre's salary; keep in mind that Spectres do not get paid (you played Mass Effect 1). He may need to do a lot of looting on missions if he wants to keep that apartment.

Then Joker sent Shepard a message to go out for sushi. So Shepard went out for sushi, even though he hates sushi. Maybe he can get them to make him a burger or something; he is a Spectre after all. (Favorite background conversation: Male: "I knew about this place before it was cool." Female: "Shut up.")

But then Shepard was ambushed by a bunch of mercenaries. So Shepard killed one of the mercs and stole his fake Suppressor -- it must have been given to the guy as a result of some rookie hazing ritual -- then fell through a fish tank, and then shot his way to a sky car lot where his team bailed him out of trouble. If he had a real gun he would not need the help, but such is (video game) life.

After a debrief, his girlfriend Liara tracked the gun to a shady casino owner. So Shepard took his girlfriend and the bumbling Brooks to the casino to go have a chat with the owner. Except the owner turned out to be dead... but thankfully not undead because that would have been creepy an potentially very dangerous. Then some doofus with a death wish called in and taunted Shepard.

So now Shepard and the crew are back at the apartment planning their next move.

- You did not just stab Thane!
- I hate this guy.
- I usually like it when we all get to point our guns and have a standoff, but you need to back down, Ash.
- Dammit. Goodbye, Ash.
- Goodbye, Thane.
- I'd hate to have to use these time capsules, but good thinking, Liara.
- My smoking hot girlfriend is stubborn even via hologram.
- Javik likes the Citadel and can give a rousing speech.
- Yep, you're a better dancer than me, Jack.
- Joker, just go for it. I'm sure Chakwas can hook you up with pain meds.

Tonight Emma did this:

Spoiler

Errata:

  • Killing Rana is an acceptable Paragon choice. Letting her go is stupid.
  • Again no reporting to the Council, I think the mod has screwed up the Council textures when they do a vid-link, as it crashes every time
  • Being one hit shotted by Geth rocket drones is even less amusing
  • The reapers are so enigmatic, powerful and scary in ME1. ME2 (Harbinger) and even more so ME3 (the catalyst) really screwed them over. Sovereign has such a disdain for Shepard it makes it a really powerful scene. Amazing how much ME3 retcons his speech. Ho hum
  • The Saren fight lasted about 3 seconds with a Spectre Assault rifle, Sledgehammer rounds X, Scram Rail X and Frictionless Materials X. Oh well

Brad Shepard (Marksman Sentinel) went to the Citadel Archives to investigate someone using his ID and met the moron who was trying to kill him. Turns out the moron is his clone. Now Brad is not sure if the clone is a moron or if Cerberus cloned a moron. That question is going to keep him up at night.

Brad tried chasing the clone down, but was trapped in a vault by the clone, and discovered that Maya Brooks was working for the clone the whole time. He is beginning to think that he is a moron.

After escaping the vault, Joker took Shepard, James, and Kaidan to the Normandy to stop the clone from stealing it. The clone had kicked Traynor off the ship, but she helped them get on the Normandy before it took off. They killed the CAT6 goons in the CIC before taking the elevator to the Cargo Bay and kicking the clone's ass from one end of the ship to the other. Brad wanted to spare the clone's life, but the clone committed suicide instead.

Back at the apartment, Joker suggested they throw a party. Brad thinks that is a good idea. He plans to spend some time in the combat simulator first.

P.S. Brad Shepard forgot to reimburse Traynor for her toothbrush.

- - -

Also, I wonder what the conversation with C-SEC was like after the Normandy docked again.

C-SEC Officer: Commander, the Normandy just fired on several apartments in the wards. We have several casualties and many more wounded. Care to explain what happened?

Shepard: Spectre Authority.

C-SEC Officer: With all due respect Commander--

Shepard: Spectre. Authority.

(Long pause)

C-SEC Officer: Yes Commander.

From the files of James Vega

Something's wrong. The Commander looks like she wants to kill something. I wonder if it has anything to do with the meeting she had with the asari councilor. All I know is we're headed to Thessia for some kind of artifact.

Doc make's a comment about her not being that callous towards her own people. I tell her to get over it and pay attention to the mission. The Commander agrees. I personally would've left the doc on the ship and bring someone else. I wouldn't mind Ashley. Yeah. Her and I have been....enjoying each others company of late.

We land and already see fighting going on. The asari are dealing with the uglies. We move forward. There's a lot of uglies.  We deal with them. What is that thing? Damn. The reapers turned the asari into..that...that.. thing. That's messed up. The doc is worried. She needs to focus. We fight more uglies. I mean a lot more. Whatever this artifact is, it better be worth it.

What the heck? What are you doing Shepard? Oh crap. After dealing with the uglies, I look at the Commander and ask myself what happened. It seems Liara said something that caused the Commander to throw Liara to the ground and point her weapon at her. If it wasn't for the uglies firing at us, I believe Shepard was going to kill Liara. To this day, I have no idea what happened between those two. I asked a few people and they won't say anything. Maybe its best I never know.

We get to the temple. Will you look at that? That bust is a Prothean. Liara doesn't believe it. I know she's been studying protheans for a long time, but I would've expected her to of seen a picture or even a painting of what a prothean looks like. It also looks like her goddess is prothean. I had to smile at that. I'd be curious to see the look on all the asari when they find out their goddess is prothean. Or maybe they already knew and just didn't believe it. Whatever.

Its a prothean beacon. How about that? So the asari have been hiding this the whole time? That's not good. I agree with the Commander. If they revealed this beacon earlier, we might not be in this mess. The asari are in a world of hurt. The galaxy will not forgive them for this. Of course we have to defeat the reapers first.

Its a VI. It explains what happened to the protheans in their time when building the crucible.

Look who it is? The ponytail and his sword. What would be a good name for him. I got it. Dumb and dumber. Yeah. That'll work. Who's the hologram?  Oh crap. Time to fight dumb and dumber. Now that's just cheating. Using a gunship.  What the..? Uhhhh. Why didn't the doc shoot at dumb who put dumber in the ground? Yeah. I would've left her on the ship and brought Ashley. I bet she would've shot the ponytail.

He gets away. Stay away from the Commander. Oh yeah. She is the devil being as red as she is. We head back to the Normandy.

The Commander isn't happy at all. The look on her face suggests she wasn't too happy to speak to the asari councilor. Liara says something. The Commander ignores her. I tell her lets kick Cerberus in the danglers.

What's this? The Traynor woman has tracked the ponytails location. I've talked with her once. Nice voice. The Commander asks her if its worth pursuing. She says yes ma'am. Whoa? What? Did I just see the Commander wink and smile? No. I must be seeing things. The Commander is Satan. Maybe its nothing and I'm letting my mind get carried away.

I head down to the hangar to workout and forget about the last mission.

I went through Feros today, shot some Geth in the ExoGeni HQ and saved the colonists from the Thorian's power. (Most of them at least. I'm playing a renegon femshep who doesn't kill unnecessarily. Though sadly, two colonists died in the crossfire. Oh well.)

I forgot how fun being an adept is during the Thorian/t.creepers sequence. I also brought Liara along, so we were throwing creepers and asari clones all over the place :P

I also came across a weird glitch. Never happened before in my other playthroughs. It was pretty hilarious though. (Sorry if the pics are a bit big)

Somehow, this Krogan lost his head during battle. He still continued to fight like normal though.

Later, during the colonist battle, it happened again :')

Poor Ledra.

I have no idea what could've caused it to happen, but it might have something to do with using Texmod. It sometimes messes up letters/numbers as you can see in the bottom two pics (the "colonists alive" counter).

When I woke up my whole body was in pain from yesterday's workout challenge with James. Stupid idea...

I slowly got up, taking a shower to get me going. I invited Liara over, and Cortez had asked me to join him for a shuttle ride later on.

I was just finished using the bathroom when I heard the piano. I saw Liara standing in front of it, playing a song. It sounded beautiful. Glyph noticed me and Liara stopped and turned around. She told me about the origins of the song, good story.

She couldn't stay too long as she had work to do, but I offered she could stay here in the apartment if she wanted. I was meeting Cortez soon anyway, so she would have some privacy.

Cortez picked me up and he showed me the virtual windows of the shuttle. He fired up the shuttle and got really excited, wanting to speed up some more, but I told him to keep it steady. I'm not really in for fast-paced adventures today. We had a chat about how it is his responsibility to get me in and out of LZs and that he wouldn't trust any other with this. True, he always does an admirable job getting us in and out and I'm lucky to have him on the team.

By the time I came back I had gotten another e-mail from Cortez, he and James wanted to come over for a biotiball game. I'm glad the game is only tomorrow, gives me another day to get over this James thing. I'm a bit worried how things will be between us from now on.

I tried to relax a bit more, but it was hard to, so I asked Tali to come over. It was early evening when she arrived at the apartment and we ended up having a nice, quiet vid night. Tali showed me Fleet and Flotilla, a really sappy lovey-dovey vid, but I loved to see how much it meant to her. She had watched it with friends every time they had a sleepover. I wonder how many of them are still alive.

My night was plagued by too many thoughts, falling asleep, then waking up again, over and over. I was in a strange place. On top of the Reapers, which are already enough on my plate, I felt that the closer we got, the more I was afraid to lose everything we had fought for so far, to not be able to save us from this threat.

Doubt... because we only have this one shot at the Reapers, and if it didn't work...

And then there's what happened with James. Jeopardising our friendship. My mind was an unhealthy mix of restlessness, and I just couldn't stop thinking about it. Eventually I did fall asleep, but I was far from refreshed the next morning.

Traynor came over to the apartment and I thought we could maybe play something, but she fell in love with the hot tub, so I let her use it. I learned that she has some allergies and other stuff, hope she's gonna be okay.

After Traynor left I got ready to meet Jacob at the arcade. He brought some kids with him to take care of over the weekend... parents are MIA, crap. That sucks.  Jacob challenged me to a round of Shattered Eezo, which I promptly lost. Ah well. (I suck at this mini game! On my first run I won, but not again since then, haha) After we were finished we grabbed a bite. It was really nice to see him again, but I soon returned to the apartment. Samara had written as well, so I called her as she was just on the Citadel anyway. We watched some people outside on the busy Silversun Strip and made up stories for them. That was quite nice and Samara was really good at it. She didn't want to comment on me though. Too difficult, she said. Well... guess that's true, huh.

Kaidan had invited me for dinner that evening and I waited for him to pick me up. But he didn't want to go out and instead decided to cook for us. Uh-oh. He talked me into drinking a beer with him while he started cooking. I teased him about his cooking skills pretty much the whole time, but I actually enjoyed it, it tasted good.

Things have been very relaxed with him, that's a good thing after what had happened between us.

Kaidan left and then Cortez and James came over late for the game. James seemed the same as always, so... everything back to normal, huh. Not the worst that could've happened, but something clearly prevents me from letting this go completely.

We talked a bit about the teams and I passed out the beer while listening to Cortez and James explaining who's who and who's got the hots for which players. Hm. I have no real knowledge about biotiball, but I sided with James, as the asari started playing long long before us humans, they must have an advantage.

During the game I sat next to James, keeping enough distance.

Seeing him definitely brought this whole thing between us up again for me, it got to me more than I ever would've thought. But I kept my mask up, I've got enough experience to never reveal what bothers me. Guess that's useful sometimes...

In the end the asari team lost and James told Cortez to pay up. Wait, what? Wasn't Vega betting on the asari?

Ah, so... they bet on me. If I'd pick the winner. James had figured since I'm always spending my luck in the battlefield, I'd be out of it here for once. And he was right after all. We called it a night and said our goodbyes.

Tomorrow it's time for the party then. The Normandy is almost good to go, so we should make the most of our free time while we can.

Man, Citadel DLC is turning my Shepard into an alcoholic :D Ah well, I blame her company for every single time. Shepard doesn't say no to her beloved squad, haha.
