I really wanted to continue with Idan this weekend, but James got in the way again

Finished recording dialogues for The Rachni/Krogan Team with EDI, Garrus and Liara. It's HELL. But also fun (I can't believe I still enjoy doing this ).

Luckily with Ash, Kaidan and Tali, it can only happen after Tuchanka, haha. Gonna go for these now, replaying loads of missions again.

Also started another FemShep/James write-up thingie, planned fanarts etc etc. Help.

I need a day that lasts 48 hrs. Or more

 

Btw, I'm still amused every time I see James being startled when the Queen/Breeder starts speaking through the krogan, so funny!

Continuing to grind matches in the Armax Arsenal Arena as John Shepard to earn some extra credits to upgrade all my guns to X. Ultimately it will be a rather pointless exercise but I figure at least one of my Shepards needs to have a maxed-out arsenal, even if he or she will never use them all.

 

So far I have ground out 60 matches in the simulator as I work towards another goal: getting the Gold Prize terminal to read 99 (unclaimed prizes). I doubt it goes beyond 99; I figure it will not keep track of any unawarded prizes beyond 99 but it will be moderately interesting to find out.

 

And as to why I think grinding out all these waves will be rather pointless? Consider that you can cash out a gold prize for 10 000 credits. So ten gold prizes = 100 000 credits, and therefore 100 gold prizes = 1 000 000 credits. But also consider that rank X of a gun can cost as much as 150 000 credits. So spending hours in the arena (I can bash out a match in about 5 minutes or less, so about 10 - 15 matches per hour, or around 10 hours for 100 matches) for what amounts to nowhere near enough credits is stupidly annoying.

 

Gosh darn you BioWare and your stupid weapon upgrading system! If it was just to rank V (instead of X) it would actually be bearable and doable for NG+ do I can actually use all the weapons equally. But nooooooo..... Spectre Terminal weapons are the worst (because you have to buy them first), followed by most DLC weapons. Grrrrrr....

I have one Shepard who is almost there. I think he's a NG+++ character? The weapons you can find aren't a problem but yes, the DLC pack weapons and the Spectre weapons are super spendy and take forever to upgrade. Of course, those are the ones I want to use.   I make the monastery mission a priority as soon as it's available to get that second discount.

He has started to hit on Miranda (just for something different) and boy howdy is she interested

 

He still thinks of Kaidan. Can he break up with Miranda after the romantic interlude which I suppose comes just before the suicide mission? Or does he have to do that in ME3?

 

Please help him while he is trying to save human colonies.

Yes it works. He will die and you get a "Critical Mission Failure. Archangel has been killed."

Maybe this post here will help. Not sure how accurate it is.

For me Miranda died during Sanctuary in my first playthrough because I broke up with her in ME3. So, if you wanna keep her there's two ways according to this post

I also think hat buying inventory in ME1 is pointless. Know what? If you play on pc, theres a better option. Just start the game, jump to level 60, beat eden prime, and as soon as you can go to the lower decks just use console commands in order to give youthe best gear, as well as your squad-mates. Then deliver to them on arrival as soon as they join you. It takes me about half an hour to set things up, and then I just make some very small changes in the inventory, like better defense on armos for planets that offer risk, a gps for someones suit in case the makos guidance system becomes jammed, alternative ammo for each type of foe...

 

And then set the difficult for a proper level of challenge, like the 2 hardest levels. 

 

Its much more enjoyable this way.

What happened? I've never seen my owner this mad before. The asari were hiding something that could've helped with stopping the reapers? Mmmm. If that's the case owner, throw the blue one off the ship. I need to go on SHSN to let my fellow space hamsters know. Thread title. Do not trust asari. Lets see how many replies I get.

 

What's my owner going to do? Oh crap. I've already got 42 replies to my thread. To all that have replied and others that are reading this thread. The asari failed to reveal information that could help stop the reapers. At this time I don't know what it is. It might have something to do with a part that is missing to complete some weapon that will stop the reapers. I will keep all hamsters informed when more information becomes available. Do not trust the asari.

 

While my owner goes on a mission about some scientists, I will think of ways my homeworld can protect itself from the reapers. Right now our strongest weapon is biting the foot.  There's Samantha. She comes up here to use the shower a lot. I think she's trying to hit on me. Sorry human. I have my eyes on someone else.

 

Looks like my owner was successful in getting those scientists. I see my owner is relaxing listening to some music. Cool. Haven't heard that in awhile. She says were on our way to Horizon. I decide to take a nap

 

Oh no. What happened? Why is Samantha crying? Cerberus was on Horizon. They killed a lot of people to study indoctrination. Wait a minute. Samantha was on Horizon when the collectors attacked. My owner saved Samantha and her family. Oh boy. This is not good. My owner tells Samantha to lie down while she heads to the hangar. Wait for me.

 

Oh crap. My owner is grinding her axe. The James and Steve leave the area. I just crapped myself when my owner looked at me.  She's angry. Cerberus won't know what hit them. She's mumbling REDRUM, REDRUM. It s time for me to leave.

 

It will be a few hours before the attack on Cerberus.

So Cerberus is dealt with. My owner is happy about that. She tells me the Citadel is the part that is missing for the weapon. Ok. Why tell me? She says were getting ready to head to Earth with all the fleets. Alright then. I will alert the Hamster military to deploy our ships to help you owner.  She seems sad. Samantha walks in the cabin. They play chess one last time. As usual, Samantha wins. They both hug. Get going owner. The faster your mission is completed, the faster I can find Mrs. Furball and I can take you to my homeworld.

 

Samantha places me near her terminal while she checks the comms. It sounds like things are going well down there. That's my owner. She's calling the Joker pilot for a pickup. Cool. The mission is over? Samantha shakes her head no. Joker is picking up the lumpy guy and the dark haired woman. My owner says that the two of them were excess baggage. I agree. When you want something done, its best you do it yourself.

 

Samantha carries me to where the Joker pilot is. Not sure why, but I'm not complaining. It beats walking. Who's voice is that? Everyone leave. What? Why? I look out the window. What's that red thing? Ok. Were moving very fast. Samantha takes me back to her station. She straps herself in. What a bumpy ride.  She grabs me and walks to the front to see where were at.

 

Where are we? Hey lets get out of here. We get back in the ship and head to the 3rd deck. What's on the 3rd deck? What about my owner? Why is everyone standing facing that wall? What's in your hand Samantha? Hey that's my owner's last name. Is she dead? No. I don't believe it. Don't put my owners name on the wall. Good. Ok. I'll head to the flying area and drive this ship back to where my owner is. Lets go Samantha. No time to waste.

 

So ends the story of the space hamster named Furball. He eventually found a hamster to settle down with. He became a national hero on his homeworld for his part in defeating the reapers. His government even made a statue of him. As for his owner, she and Samantha are somewhere on Earth.

I do quite enjoy these side missions. I don't enjoy the galaxy map or scanning; bring back the ME1 version please.

And if you give yourself the best gear and level up to 60 right away... not even Insanity is a challenge.

I've never seen the big issue with the Inventory, on console or PC. The big problems only occur if you let it become too full. Take care of your Inventory and it should never become an issue. Though to be fair I wouldn't have minded seeing a convert all to Omni-Gel button.

The Inventory was another thing, along with the Mako and the dice-roll in the gunplay, that Bioware threw out with the bathwater when they didn't need to. Everything could have been quite simple fixed but they took the even easier option of just removing them entirely.

Not access to the command console certainly but there is a save editor for all the games, though of course Mass Effect 1's only lets you alter the XP.

Of course Sony and Microsoft aren't keen on people modding even something as simple as a save, so it would be at the risk of losing your account.
