I've never seen the big issue with the Inventory, on console or PC. The big problems only occur if you let it become too full. Take care of your Inventory and it should never become an issue. Though to be fair I wouldn't have minded seeing a convert all to Omni-Gel button.

The Inventory was another thing, along with the Mako and the dice-roll in the gunplay, that Bioware threw out with the bathwater when they didn't need to. Everything could have been quite simple fixed but they took the even easier option of just removing them entirely.

The way I saw it at the time, you don't get an inventory system like ME1's if Bio actually was interested in having an inventory system, This is what you get when devs put something in because they figure that an RPG has to have them. So when ME2 came along, I was pleased but not all that surprised.

I guess I just don't see the issue that other have that couldn't have been fixed with a 'Convert All' button.

Because sometimes you do not want to convert all. I like to keep extras of some mods.

Now I have played ME1 enough times now that I can handle the inventory without being overwhelmed. The first few playthroughs of ME1 when you have no idea what you are doing can be rough.

John Shepard grinded through a few more Armax Arsenal Arena matches. He now has 100 unclaimed Gold prizes. That will take me a few minutes on my next gaming session to claim them all (Convert to Credits, 1 000 000 credits. Enough to maybe upgrade one DLC gun to level X? Probably not. *wails loudly*)

I head to the moon to stop a VI

Its good to see my homeworld from here. The best planet in the galaxy. Heck. The best planet in the whole universe.

We decide to set up a grill to have some steaks and baked potatoes while looking at Earth. And look at that. Kaidan has brought a case of Labatts Blue. Good beer. Excellent. Kaidan talks about the time he and his mother visited Toronto and went up the CN Tower for lunch. I tell him about the time I ate my first big mac. It was so good I had another. Ashley talks about how she and her sisters would fight over who had the best looking boyfriend. This is the life. Sitting back. Enjoying life. Lets get going. See you later Earth. I will be back.

were under attack. Once inside we have to deal with a bunch of drones firing at us

The mission is a success. The rogue VI has been dealt with

Now to Feros

the geth are attacking the colonists. Why?

get rid of the geth. got some food, turned the water on and got some power cells

lets go to Exogeni

lots of geth.

geth with 4 legs. Are the geth building giant dogs? Why would a machine want a dog? Maybe its best I don't know

I run over a lot of them in the Mako. I wonder if a Jeep Wrangler can do that?

Hey. Why did you shoot at me woman? She's sorry. You're lucky I didn't shoot back.

The geth have attached their ship to the building.

Lets knock it off

that Krogan is really mad at the hologram. I will put him out of his misery

the hologram mentions Species 37. Does that mean there's 36 other species somewhere?

more geth to fight.

Yes. broke the claw of the ship. it fell to its death. Lets take a moment and remember those machines that gave their data that were in the ship. Na. Why would I? They're only machines. hahaha

you lied to me girl.

she hears her mother. Why is it always family problems?

the girls' mother suggest using a grenade filled with some kind of gas to avoid killing the colonists. ok

What...the....? What are those things? Human plants with claws? Kill the things. Don't kill the colonists

the colonists are not harmed

lets deal with Species 37

its a giant plant. I ask it about the other 36 species. It just moans and groans, but it does spit out an asari. Is that how asari reproduce? From plants. Whatever works for them

the human plants or as I call them, the pukers, are dealt with and the giant looking plant falls into its hole

an asari falls out of a pod or something. Is the pod her mother?

the asari tells me it gave a cipher to Saren

I need the cipher. I have to embrace eternity. Whatever

we head back to the Citadel

hello Conrad. I've been thinking about you. He wants to take a picture of me. Sure. He said I'm beautiful. You just warmed my heart Conrad. And made me blush. Thank you Conrad. You're a good guy.

lets head to Noveria

I finished ME2 on a New Game + for the first time (10th ME2 run).
It was the least rewarding New Game + of the trilogy, since you don't start with the upgrades and have to research everything again. Not much difference from an ME1 import, except that you start at Level 30 and WITHOUT the Paragon/Renegade bonus points from ME1.
At least I had the chance to wear the Blood Dragon Armor throughout the entire game...

Did not feel like playing more John Shepard today, so I decided to play a few multiplayer matches. I cannot remember the last time I played the multiplayer. I was a little rusty but did not perform too badly. I forgot how much I like the Vorcha Soldier; although points off because I did even try out my Vorcha voice. Still alive!

1, 2, Shepard's coming for you

3, 4,  better lock you door

5, 6,  grab your crucifix

7, 8,  gonna stay up late

9, 10,  never sleep again

I like it. What do you think?

I fight some mechs while a woman talks in my ear

meet a guy who's a biotic. Hey. I'm a biotic as well

Wilson is wounded. This band aid should work till he sees a doctor

the woman in my ear kills Wilson. What a waste of a band aid

lets get out of here. I'm hungry. Lets go to McDonalds and get a #1 meal

this is TIM, The Individual Male

lets go to freedoms progress

its Tali. I don't like her. Its was her species that built the geth that attacked Eden Prime

I find the Veetor quarian

I get a new ship. I want to call it Princess Of the Seas. Wait a minute. That's for a cruise ship. Ok. I call it Normandy

I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to McDonalds for that number 1 meal. Worry about the collectors later

Tonight I did this (until the game bugged out):

Spoiler

  • I took Jack on the side mission, and her running around in just a breather mask is beyond ridiculous
  • I really like Illium. I think it is Bioware's best conceived place, from the background chatter, to the news and adverts. The missions that take place there, the characters you meet and depth it gives to the place just make me realise what could have been, and what we have lost in a way by junking the setting
  • Liara meeting you for the first time is really odd. You get a passionate kiss, then it's like a door slams down and that's it. Really, really disappointing - especially if you don't have LotSB to flesh it out. Her character change is also quite jarring - but on the whole I much prefer it, and by ME3 she is rather good. Liara (if romanced) should be running  a whole range of emotions at seeing you again, especially if you are still with her. What do we get? She sits behind a desk and has you hack terminals. I'll tell you something, if Bioware don't match up to the standard set by Life is Strange in terms of character interaction I'm going to be exceptionally disappointed. i expect i am going to be exceptionally disapointed
  • The lack of acknowledgement to Tali is odd
  • Shiala coming on to you - where the hell does that come from? It's so awkward and out of place. Don't understand it
  • Giananni Parsini is another criminally wasted character (along with Shiala). Just imagine a series of side missions with the two of you uncovering some form of conspiracy on Illium. Dammit Bioware, why can't you see all the good things you create and instead give us ****** sexbots
  • The background bickering of the Asari talking about purebloods, and the ones talking about goods form the terminus systems, is well worth a listen
  • Aethyta is, along with Aria, the best Asari character by far. And again, criminally underused. It's so irritating

I also thought hunting down Vigo Santiago would have been interesting. But yeah, of the Asari - Aethyta is my favourite. She's the only one who isn't depressing. Aria is a good character but I don't like her ethics. And I would (as Shepard) prefer to work with Shiala.

I liked a lot of these side missions but not that they were so totally disconnected from everything else. I liked this one, the one where you have to get the radiation shield up around the city, and the one where you have to get the Cerberus operative. The last one is especially odd because it bothers to give you a choice of what to do with the data.

Aria's character was completely wasted in ME2. At least she got a DLC for ME3, though I didn't play it so I don't know if it's actually good.

I really liked Shiala in ME because she was an inside view into Saren. In ME2, she might as well be any colonist from Feros.

Finally finally continued. I first had to get Life is Strange out of the way :D Good game, but couldn't wait to return to ME! So, where were we...

After killing some geth along the way we finally reached Peak 15 with the Mako. We first had to reestablish power, and fought more geth and some weird acid-spitting aliens. Hostile and dangerous...

When we were done with everything we took the tram and met some of the Peak 15 staff, learned about the situation and asked about the Matriarch. Sh*t here doesn't look too good on Rift Station. We found out the acid-spitting aliens are... rachni?! But I thought they were extinct... Hm. We need to find out more.

I talked to a doctor and I offered to create a cure for people who were involved in a toxic accident. It wasn't a problem to create the cure, but we were attacked by that asari chick I talked to, I mean... disturbed earlier. Saren sent her after me. Figures. We took care of her (after dying once :D) and returned to the doc to give him the cure.

We proceeded to the Secure Lab and found Benezia. Damn, even with Liara being here she was hostile and tried to kill us. We managed to defeat all her reinforcements and were ready to deal with her. But she said some things... said she was indoctrinated, and that currently she's clear in her head. I believed her. She told us Sovereign, the giant ship we saw on Eden Prime, is the real threat, that Saren is merely a tool. Yeah, got it. Saren sent Benezia here to locate the Mu Relay, which is somehow tied to finding a conduit. Must be important. On top of this the Matriarch actually has a rachni here, a queen. Used her to get the location of the Mu Relay. So they aren't extinct. Great. I don't know about this... they seem highly dangerous.

Before I could think any longer about it Benezia was losing her strength to fight the indoctrination and we were forced to kill her. Sorry, Liara... Didn't want you to see that. I examined the rachni queen in the tank and suddenly one of the dead asari began speaking... What the hell?! It's the queen speaking through her, asking me to let her go. I don't know... it seems like a bad idea. I don't like it. She promised she'd leave, never appear again and that she will live in peace. But no... that sounds risky. What if she doesn't? What if she can't control her children? Nah. Sorry. You need to go.

Afterwards we dealt with the remaining rachni in the Hot Labs and finally got off this planet. Had enough of acid and snow here for a lifetime.

On the Normandy I brought the crew up to speed and Ash was really mean to Liara, but I told her to play nice.

Will talk privately to my crew next. I think Liara needs some comforting, she can cry on my shoulder. I also missed Ashley and our talks.

I don't know what happened with the Matriarch fight this time. It was bugged out completely. At least the first half. I walked normally in the beginning and then couldn't go on, like some invisible walls were in front of me, but when I moved back again I found myself walking in mid-air sometimes. It was totally weird. Still managed to not die somehow. That only happened during the second half of course. Asari commandos are indeed no fun

I also had a funny turian along the way earlier, who I let Liara lift, then he disappeared in the bottom, just to have his upper body stick out of it afterwards. Great things happened yesterday (ME1 is generally weird with these things, haha)! Also for next time I definitely have to go to the Hot Labs first, never did that before and every time I forget about it, I don't know why.

I also made the sketch for my next FemShep/Vega fanart, maybe I can finish it over the weekend.
